It's Monday and World Kindness Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I am grateful for Prada Infusion d'Iris Absolue. 10+ years later, it seems a miracle it was made by a designer brand (it's better than many niche iris fragrances) and sold at such a reasonable price (adjusted for inflation, the bottle would be $157 for 100 ml today). It's also one of those fragrances that has deepened, rather than spoiled, with age.
Reminder: 11/17 will be Gratitude Friday…wear a perfume that you feel grateful for coming into your life, that arrived at the right time, helped you face a difficult situation, or simply enriches your day when you wear it. Suggested by Kanuka.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2023, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I love this week’s theme!
I’m wearing White Cube today and I’m thankful that I even tried it. The Narciso Rodriguez penchant for using the same name just made me confused, but NST helped me figure out that White Cube is the one for me. So thanks NST esp lillyjo!
You smell great! I credit Robin’s review for pushing me over the edge. The body cream and shower gel are excellent too.
They are excellent! I found a gift set on Mercari and was saving the shower gel and lotion for travel, then I remembered that I never go anywhere so I am using them up and enjoying them.
You smell great! When I finally got around to trying that one several years ago, I wondered why it had taken me so long. It really is a good one.
Thank you for the theme, Kanuka. This week I will be wearing the scents I was very kindly gifted by an amazing Danish friend while I was staying in Sweden.
They:
1) arrived at the right time
2) helped me face a difficult situation
Today I am wearing a sample labelled simply “Arabesque”. I think (although I do not really know) it is The Merchant of Venice Arabesque – I can definitely smell cinnamon in it. There is also a boozy sweet candied fruit-like accord and something reminding me of Phaedon Tabac Rouge. It is a delicious winter gourmand.
I got a lovely fragrance gift over the weekend too. Perfume people are the nicest 🙂
Cooler weather right now (highs in the 60s) requires some cooler weather scents. I am thankful for Jacomo Art Collection #08, because the Art Collection is discontinued and I have a full bottle. The scent is perfect for a wet fall day in my part of Texas.
I thought they’d take that collection farther, they were so nicely done.
This morning I am grateful to Allure hydrating mist spray-as my skin is so parched from the low temperatures, the dry heat in our building, and the super hot showers I have been taking.. even with the humidifier I feel its so dry
Also wearing a few drops of the Allure pure parfum. The two blend so beautifully.
Tea is chai coffee. My FIL said that he is liking his chai with coffee these days and has no plans to make it with tea. I told him any tea/coffee that is made with his homemade spice is good enough for me. I am having a few cups with dal and rice for breakfast.
Stay warm!
Chai coffee! How lovely.
Allure is an underrated gem. I didn’t know there was a hydrating mist. Sweet!
It’s discontinued but you can find it on some websites for sale and the price is outrageous.
I always wonder why Allure is underrated.
L2SG – Dal and Rice for breakfast, with chai coffee? I’m over in a second!!
I love Allure! I think it’s perfect for Fall or Spring, cooler in the morning and perfect for warmer afternoons.
Which Allure do you like EDP or EDT or parfum?
I am so glad you are back to NST- I have missed you
Hello.
Sotd is Chanel Jersey. I am grateful that when life gets a little stressful I can spray this lavender on and it will give me the comfort I need.
Tea is TWG Joy of Christmas Tea. Black tea with spiced fruits and chocolate. It only comes in this teeny tiny 20g tin, which is so annoying because it’s yummy!
Anti-stress perfumes are the best.
Very thankful for the gorgeous weather here! I live all year for these beautiful sunshiny days, cool temps, gorgeous sunsets, peace and quiet, and long walks (with or without coyotes)! Also thankful I figured out how to “fix” this camper when I overloaded the electric this morning, resulting in everything shutting down and delaying my coffee and toast.
Wearing Shalimar Body Cream from last night because it is SO dry. Not only does it smell like a subtler version of Shalimar EDP, it moisturizes very well. So I’m thankfully lubed up and smelling fine!
love a good perfumed body cream! i also get dry skin and am currently making my way through the diptyque one, which is a delicious rose.
Go Deva! If I’d shut down the electrical before I got my caffeine, I would probably just cry for a few.
I’m in Molecule 01.
After Saturday’s scrubber, I tried the third fragrance from VB yesterday: Portofino ‘97, which was very lovely. So, two out of three worked for me.
We have sun predicted all week with above average temperatures. Can’t believe thanksgiving is next week already!
November has seemed really short this year to me too.
2 out of 3 is not bad at all!
Chanel Egoiste today.
Manager has put me on a project that nobody is particularly excited about except for him, so I’m mildly annoyed but I’m reminding myself that I’m just here to do my job and get paid.
I resisted all the advent calendars this year. I got the Diptyque one last year and it was fun, but none of them are really calling me this year. I like the Guerlain one but not the perfume selection in this years’ box. Anybody getting advent calendars this year?
I just watched a YouTuber opening a MFK “advent calendar.” Not really for Advent as it focuses on the 25-30th, so seven “gifts.” ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS is the price point. I think that’s before tax and shipping. Yowza!
yup thats a NOPE for me!
I agree with pfsh, yup, that’s a nope for me! I can’t entertain that kinda crazy pricing!
wow, thats a crazy amount of money…
And for stuff you’re not guaranteed to like!
I sort of want an advent calendar for myself, because I spend so much time making them for the others in the house but I rarely get one. But I need to find something for a *bit* less than $500 (okay, a lot less than $500), and I’m at a loss. Mr. Ockeghem did get me the L’Occitane calendar some years back, but years later I still have a bunch of small perfume bottles from it that didn’t impress me. (One of the bottles is pretty, though.) I know the Body Shop had one, but I don’t really love their stuff. I thought about Lush, but $320 still seems a bit rich for me.
Anyone have ideas for a nice calendar that doesn’t require me coming into an inheritance? 🙂
not perfume, but here are some that i like that aren’t too costly!
https://www.ladym.com/items/2023-advent-calendar – i enjoyed lady m treats, fun treat under $100.
https://www.sugarfina.com/advent-carousel – pretty box and sugarfina candies have great flavors
https://www.bonnemaman.us/advent-calendar.html – have not tried this one but my friend enjoys the jams and they are a fun treat to go with holiday shortbread cookies
OH and one perfume advent calendar that might actually be worth the money: https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/neiman-marcus-12-days-of-fragrance-holiday-advent-calendar-prod265250074. no spoilers but i watched a review and the only thing that put me off is that it is very rose heavy and that’s not something i’m into at the moment.
These are great ideas – thank you! Looking at the Bonne Maman as I love their jams.
I get this one every year for Mr. Allo. He loves the little “fruit spreads and 1 honey.”
Me, too!
I got that one last year and loved it.
oh and i have discovered that laduree has an advent calendar too…. https://www.laduree.us/2023-advent-calendar.html
haha i responded with a bunch of links but my comment got flagged, but here’s a link-free list that you can easily look up:
not perfume, but here are some that i like that aren’t too costly!
Lady M – i enjoyed lady m treats and their packaging is always fun, nice treat under $100.
Sugarfina Carousel Advent calendar – pretty box and sugarfina candies have great flavors
Bonne Maman Jam calendar – have not tried this one but my friend enjoys the jams and they are a fun treat to go with holiday shortbread cookies
OH and one perfume advent calendar that might actually be worth the money: Neiman Marcus 12 Days of fragrance. no spoilers but i watched a review and the only thing that put me off is that it is very rose heavy and that’s not something i’m into at the moment.
Thanks for the ideas! I’ll look into those. And rose-heavy is not a problem for me…
haha, in that case the neiman marcus one is a probably the best bang for buck perfume advent calendar i’ve seen! it’s mostly minis and travel sizes from niche brands.
Sorry, it just got held in the potential spam filter because of the number of links, I’ve restored it now!
all good! i figured. thanks Robin <3
That NM advent calendar really is a good value for what you get. It totals 82 mL of perfume, so for $155 it is really not a bad price. Heck, I’m tempted to buy it for myself, even though I am supposed to be weeding out perfumes, not buying more. Rose heavy is not a problem for me.
I have just informed Mr. Ockeghem that if he really loved me, he would buy me that NM calendar. It really is a good deal.
Alas, it doesn’t appear that it’s able to be ordered. We can put it in the cart, but then when we go to check out we get an error message. Drat.
That’s odd–I actually did order this right after I posted, and I didn’t encounter any issues. I wonder if it has sold out and I managed to snag one of the last ones?
No, it just didn’t like his laptop and my cell phone, but it liked my laptop, for whatever reason. Maybe it got confused because I told it to show the US site but I’m not in the US? Anyway, it’s all ordered now. 🙂
https://www.t2tea.com/en/sg/the-tea-lovers-24-day-fabulous-feast-tea-bag-advent-calendar-T145AK797.html
If you drink tea? I like that you don’t end up with multiple unused minis at the end. Just one tea bag a day. Also Macy’s has an advent calendar of perfumes ( mainstream) for less than $50 US, and pottery barn has scented candles. If you use fountain pens there are lots of nice coloured ink advent calendars. Also you could buy a reusable advent calendar and just fill the drawers with samples of your choice?
Yes, tea would be a good idea. I use a fountain pen (Lamy) but with cartridges — I don’t think Lamy has enough colours to make it work. 🙂
I do reusable advent calendars for Mr. Ockeghem and Ockeghem Teen. I think that’s enough for one household — I want mine to be simple.
the tea one looks great! thanks for the recommendation <3
That tea one does look nice. I was thinking about a tea calendar, but some of them were little canisters of tea, which would leave me with multiple partial containers to use up after Christmas, and some others were actually 2 or 3 bags of each of 8 or 12 teas, so there would be many repeats. One bag each of 24 different teas is ideal.
I posted a reply below that was supposed to be in this thread.
I love that you make advent calendars for your family; it is just me and DH in our household, and I know DH is never going to make up an advent calendar for me, or even have a clue of what to use for one, so I am on my own. What I really would love is a nice old-fashioned advent calendar–the type where you just open a window to see a picture each day. For some reason, those are hard to come by.
I have this one, which is a sort of constructive calendar; each day you put another bird figure on the tree, so that by Christmas Eve it is nicely adorned with birds. I used to set this one up in my office at work; I am concerned about using it in my house with my cats around. I am afraid I would walk into chewed up bits of cardboard:
https://store.metmuseum.org/avian-holiday-pop-up-advent-calendar-80014171
It is only $25, and can be reused year after year.
this is lovely! im sharing it with my friend who has fellow birder friends to shop for. thanks!
It really is well-made too. Nice heavyweight cardboard so the pieces don’t tear of fall apart after a couple of uses. I used mine in my office the past 6 years, and it is still as good as new.
I think LUSH had an Advent calendar that was reasonably priced earlier this month. Dunno if it is still around, though.
It came up when I looked at their site earlier today. But I just don’t think of Lush and $320 in the same breath… 😀
I bought a kid’s empty advent calendar and an just filling it myself with treats for myself. 😂
Doesn’t have the surprise element, but I like the idea of having a fun little treat every day. I also enjoy the hunt for little treats that will fit in the drawers.
Not what everyone would want to do, but it’s an idea if you don’t find anything else
Tea – Adiago Teas has a lovely advent calendar.
Food – Bonne Maman has a fruit spread advent calendar.
Skincare – Yesstyle has a 2023 advent skincare calendar. It usually sells out very quickly.
I got a Lego x Marvel advent calendar. Not perfume-themed but I always come up with clever (IMHO) ideas on how to extend it. It was $34.99 + tax. Target still has a number of other similar type “Lego x something” sets.
I love those. Lego Star Wars & Harry Potter calendars used to be the go-to for little Ockeghem (of course, she usually had 3-4 advent calendars on the go…not spoiled or anything). But we got to a certain age and had to accept that she’s not really a Lego kid.
LOL…I’m trying to satisfy my inner child. We’ll see how it goes!
Wearing some vintage no. 5 extrait that I picked up secondhand. I am grateful for no. 5 because it was one of the perfumes on my mother’s dressing table that started me on my path to becoming a perfumista.
The weather here today is overcast and rainy, but I will not complain because we still need more rain to make up the deficit from the drought. I like the rain much better than yesterday’s weather, which was completely overcast and gloomy, but with just an intermittent sprinkle here and there–the kind where it’s not really enough to use your windshield wipers, but too much not to use them.
Congrats on your rain then!
I am wearing Voskanian Histoire d’une Rose. I am grateful that I discovered this brand and had to meet him in person. There are so many perfumes that I am grateful to discover!!
Same here 🙂
Love the theme this week!
Last week was superbusy,I did read some threads but inspo to post was absent!
SOTD!
Mitsouko edt.It was my very first Guerlain purchase after falling down the rabbit hole, and I’m grateful for it because it exposed me to the perfect chypre fragrance and opened the door to explore and have fun again with whichever perfumes I fancied(this was after I was wearing Le Male exclusively for about a decade)
Happy Monday!
XO’s
I just purchased this today. I know you smell fantastic!
Sorry you were super busy, hope some of it was the good kind!
Dusita Pavillion D’Or today which was a gift from Gaynor so double gratitude, both for the perfume but also the opportunity to meet cool people via NST.
Does anyone know of any good perfume shopping in Bangkok? I’m guessing there will be the boutiques like Chanel but any tips? I know someone who is going over for a few weeks.
I have not tried this scent, but I do own a few others by this perfume house. I am sure you smell wonderful. After looking this up, I think it may be a little too green for me.
Jeffrey had been sending out emails – one per day or at least 5 per week for the past 2-3 weeks.
A little confused here. Are you talking about Jeffrey Dame from my other post?
Oh yes. Sorry, I meant Dame.
I’m in my decant of JM Ginger Biscuit (thanks to Foxbins for the split) and I am feeling grateful for this fragrance community that swaps, splits and shares generously. So many wonderful things I would never have tried without all of you!
Having a Monday here, which is appropriate. I’ll go for a walk in a bit to see if it helps with Monday blues.
I’m also feeling a little down today. Hugs. Hope that your walk helps.
how is this scent?
Warm and spicy. Great for the cold weather and holidays. I love it.
I have the candle … still wrapped but I may open it soon!
Big Monday blues here too. We had to have a tree cut down, a locust that was just a wee thing when we moved in back in 1998 and was now huge and becoming a threat in various ways…but it was a lovely tree and it shaded the whole back of the house and patio and part of the driveway, and it was just wrenching to see it go, I cried off and on all morning as they removed it. My son cried too when they took the last slice of trunk.
I asked the tree surgeon if people usually cried as he cut down their trees and he just said “no”, which did make me laugh.
I’m so sorry, Robin. That sounds incredibly difficult. I’ve cried when much smaller plants, bushes and small trees have died so I can’t imagine loosing such a presence in your yard and lives💚
Thank you allo, I am glad I am not the only one to get so attached to a tree. I wish I could afford to start another good shade tree right away, it seems the right thing to do, but after paying the tree surgeon I’m all tapped out for the moment.
At least the 3 river birches my husband planted last fall are doing well despite the strange weather we’ve had this year.
I should be grateful i finally managed to get my flu shot, but i feel a bit off and my arm hurts. But anyway better that the flu…
Jil Sander No4 today, that i got from *bay for 1Euro, there is not much in the bottle, but sometimes i like to wear it.
Sorry tannina! Hope it is better tomorrow. The flu shot did not bother me nearly as much as the covid spikevax.
Wearing long, lamented Theorema today and wondering why this was discontinued. I am thankful that I managed to get boatloads of this.
Theorema always reminds me of you.
Oof, you smell marvelous! I have the light version, which I adore and don’t wear nearly often as I should.
Theorema is on my list for this week!
I have had the l’Occitane and Yves Rocher calendars in the past, but I am not getting one of then this year as I am trying to use up products now, not add more. I did enjoy both of them; I think the YR calendar only includes one perfume. One think I did not like about it was that it included a lipstick and a nail polish in colors I do not like. Mostly it is creams, lotions, shower gels, masks, and such.
If you’re into chocolate, Godiva’s advent calendar is pretty nice. The “regular” one has a different chocolate each day. I tried “upgrading” to the truffle calendar one year, and was a bit disappointed, as it had four each of six different truffles rather than 24 different truffles.
If you use a Keurig, you might want to check out their advent calendar. It is only $25, and has 24 different pods, mostly coffee. I think there is usually one hot cocoa and maybe one tea.
This year, I am not doing beauty products, chocolate, or coffee. Instead, I got two puzzle-type advent calendars. One of them is 24 different mini jigsaw puzzles that can be assembled into one large picture when they are finished. It was $28.00 from Uncommon Goods. The other is an EXIT: The Game advent calendar that is supposed to be an escape game divided into 24 daily chapter. I have not played any of their escape games before, but I am hoping I will enjoy this one. I got it from Thames & Kosmos for $49.95. Either one of these could be a shared activity, as well, although I will be doing them solo.
https://store.thamesandkosmos.com/products/exit-advent-calendar-the-mystery-of-the-ice-cave
https://www.uncommongoods.com/product/through-the-window-puzzle-advent-calendar
I’ve done Escape Rooms – the “live” ones. They are fun but they could get tricky and not completing it feels like a poke in the balloon.
Good morning! I have a lot to be grateful for, and perfume is one of those things. It’s proved to be a great rabbit hole to have fallen down 🙂
Today I’m wearing SL’s Chypre Rouge.
It is a great rabbit hole because the people are so nice!
I’m thankful for the NST community. It has proved to be a wonderfully supportive and generous spot. I’ve tried so many things, not just perfume, that I would never have encountered otherwise.
Also thankful for the NSTers who have sent Wrappings my way! Love it, and will return to it when I feel the time is right.
Going radio silent for a little bit. Got some Real Life stuff to deal with.
SOTD = commando, with Korres Grecian Gardenia in the usual spots.
Oh, no Advent calendars for me this year. Can’t afford any.
Same here.
Hope to see you soon, Jalapeno, and wish you smooth roads ahead!
Love and Luck to you Jalapeno. Hope to see you back soon. I will be thinking of you. 💙🤘
Take care my friend. Keep in touch!
we are here -when you come back
Good luck with the real-life life stuff Jalapeno, may it been easier to deal with than you think.
Thinking of you as you tackle what’s ahead! Bon courage.
Hope everything goes as smooth as possible with your real life struggles . Don’t forget us!
We’ll miss you, jalapeño.
May the Force be with you, Jalapeno, as you face Real Life Stuff!
HOpe all goes well and things smooth out for you! I’m glad you found some Wrappings! I noticed Clinique doesn’t have the holiday set on their website, bummerz.
I say wait ‘til after the holidays.
I hope that you have an easy road ahead, Jalapeno.
Come back soon! Treat yourself gently. 💗
Gosh Jalapeno, we will all be thinking of you and rooting for you. Check in again when you can.
Take care, Jalapeno. I’ll look forward to your return when you feel ready. You’ve got a big fan club here!
You will be missed, Jalapeno. Take care. You are in my thoughts and prayers. 🌻
Hope everything goes well while you’re away! And hope you check in periodically. We’ll miss you here.
Check back in when you can. I’ll have you in my thoughts and prayers, my fragrant friend! =^v^=
SOTD is Roísín Dubh (again). And I am deeply grateful for the semester I spent in Galway, which gave me so many wonderful experiences, not least of which was haunting the Cloon Keen boutique and being able to sample thoughtfully
Robin, I will have to find my small bottle of Iris Absolue. I think I may be one of the few who prefers the non-absolue version, but perhaps my Absolue has indeed deepened or changed over time — I am curious now to smell it again!
If you preferred the regular though, you may like the Absolue even less if it’s deeper?? Not sure, worth a shot.
Today I’m wearing Le Lion, for which I am very grateful to Hajusuuri. I’m also grateful for sun after a lot of rain. And I’m grateful for a stat holiday, which was sorely needed after all the travels and work for the past month.
Yay!
It’s a lovely one, and growing on me, especially in colder weather.
I’m wearing two small-ish sprays of Zoologist Camel. I was inspired by the news today above about the release of Penguin, which sounds interesting.
It’s very gloomy today and raining a lot. I’ll be grateful tomorrow to see the sun, if the weatherman is right!
More news later on. I have something big coming up but there’s a few more steps to be confirmed before I want to announce it.
let us know your news
I’m looking forward to hearing!
I am grateful for learning about Dame Perfumery several years ago on this site. I have sampled and bought FBs of many of Jeffrey’s perfumes. Today is Duality. Quite nice. Although it is not all about vanilla, there is vanilla in it. Maybe I am starting to warm up to a few scents that contain vanilla – finally!
Have you tried Strawberry Fool? I just got a sample ( that I ordered) I have only sprayed it once in the air, so I don’t have an opinion yet.
You must really be under the weather because lillyjo always has an opinion!
🤣
You got me there!
No, and I wanted to know what it was like because I normally like strawberry in perfume. I thought since I was a member of Club 100 I was getting a free sample, but no such luck. I would love to hear what it is like.
I will report back on it sometime this week.
Mitsouko EdP, which was a gift from my husband years ago. I just happened to try it at N-M in San Francisco and was intrigued. I don’t wear it near often enough.
Long day yesterday. Full morning at church with its annual meeting. Then an hour drive down to the Costco. Bought a Christmas tree (fake). Saved $100 by going to the warehouse instead of buying online. After our hideous struggles the last two years we bit the bullet. I really was balking at the prices at Balsam Hill and the like. So, we will see how it goes.
Hopefully the artificial one is also safe from Agnes!
Yeah, I love christmas trees but am tired of anchoring them to the wall b/c Smokeytoes loves to tear them down and bat the decorations around.
Send video!😊
Thankfully Agnes only shows interest in low-hanging ornaments. She may knock them down.
I wore La Traversée du Bosphore today layered over a body lotion I bought in France last year. Both are very sweet, but in a good way. They provided a good counterpoint to today’s rain. It feels like it has been raining for weeks here. No flooding yet, but the trees are getting a serious soak, for which I’m sure, they are very grateful.
You smell great, yes rain is gloomy but so necessary.
I lied down around 5pm and woke up at 10pm, just made my smoothie, Gala apples and yogurt.
It was SJP Dawn this morning I like this much mor than Lovely and it was so affordable, so I am grateful, tonight it’s AdP Vaniglia, so natural-smelling and not too sweet, the AdP line has got so expensive but I found a full tester for £45 last quarter.
*lay down, where is my English?
Hey, you just got up from a nap, who needs proper English?
Thank you Robin, yes, probably still half asleep, and in French mode.😉
You must have needed the rest. Hopefully you can still sleep well tonight.
A cool, breezy overcast day, I think rain is coming in tomorrow. Getting ready to haul my bags down for donation, return a defective bottle to Fragrancenet and try to find some dress socks to wear with my loafers. I also need a belt, but they are notoriously hard to find in the basic variety I want. Wearing DVN Fleur du Mal.
Good luck finding a belt. A decent plain one is almost non existent.
I hope you find your basic belt. There was a time when I was into belts or actually the idea that I would like to wear belts so I went out of my way to buy a whole bunch. They are still in my closet and you just gave me the idea to add them to the donation pile.
I’m still under the weather, but on the mend. I wore No.5 L’eau today. Many year’s ago it was gifted to me by a generous Nster. I am very grateful. I love this perfume.
Generous NSTers are the BEST! 😀
Really and truly!
Oh, yes to that! 😀
Oy! Hopefully you will recover 100% and soon!
Thank you! I started to get some energy back this afternoon. I took a personal day yesterday just to rest and will be going to bed early tonight.
Hope you will soon be 100%, Lillyjo. Glad you took a day off. You smell great, I have l’Eau and should wear it more.
SOTD = DSH Oeillets Rouges
I am thankful for people with a penchant for creating perfumes for those of us here to enjoy. Dawn Spencer Hurwitz is quite prolific, so much so I couldn’t keep up!
I will post a picture at some point …
In other news:
– I dropped off the packages today and they are now on their way to the splitees. Thanks for joining my splits. If you are still interested I have plenty more!
– My Post Office is an official Passport Center (I don’t know if they all are). Anyway, today, this lady of a certain age was trying to get her passport renewed. The form she had was 5 years old. Her old passport expired over 5 years ago. The 📷 was broken – not her fault but seriously, don’t advertise being a passport center if you can’t do your job!
I wonder how long the camera has been broken.
My Son told me recently he thought he should get a passport. I said where are you going? ( with no money or way to get anywhere) he said for in the future when he gets a job that wants him to travel. I told him to wait and get one when he gets the job. Lol.
Today I carried on with the sample-stash busting: Laboratorio Olfattivo’s Vanagloria as well as Vanhelm.
Vanhelm is going in the giveaway pile. There’s a wood note I dislike. Wish I could pin down WHICH wood note I hate. And maybe it’s not a “note” but a particular version or concentration. I’ve never been able to find a common denominator, other than “I know it when I smell it”. Complicating things: there are many woods I do like.
Vanagloria is a lovely vanilla incense. I’ll need to do a side by side with Vanille Insensee. I’ll keep this sample until I thunk it!
Thankful my dead trees are getting replaced tomorrow. 3 of 8 elms planted in the spring have failed. I never knew growing trees was so complicated!
I am constantly pulling stray tree seedlings out of the garden beds, but yes, you pay for trees and plant them and it’s all a crapshoot whether or not they survive 🙂
Wearing in Dior Addict today.
I’m very grateful for this group of lovely, like-minded people who make my day a little better.
I am too Gail!
Me too!
Sotd was/is Apoteke Tepe The Holy Mountain. I’m grateful that it stays with me through the day and for the generous NSTer who first told me about it and sent me a sample😊🌋
You smell wonderful. I first found out about it through NST, as well.
