It's Monday plus National Comic Book Day. Wishing an easy fast to all who observe Yom Kippur. The swapmeet is open for business! Birthdays: William Faulkner, Donald Glover, Glenn Gould, Pedro Almodóvar. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm probably going to do a week of Diana Vreeland quotes, and I'm starting with Diptyque Philosykos for "Give 'em what they never knew they wanted".
Reminder: 9/29 is Diana Vreeland's birthday. Wear one of her favorite perfumes (reportedly YSL Opium and Chanel No. 5), or wear something equally bold, or wear something from her posthumous perfume line, or take inspiration from a Diana Vreeland quote (more here), or ?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2023, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Dry down of yesterday morning Cuir de Russie… only two sprays which for me is unheard of (12-32 is the norm) and I can still smell it faintly. My darling husband says it smells fruity, like grapes, in the top and mid phase but mild on the leather in the dry down… a buttery leather.
You smell lovely!
I’m dead 💀
Yum.
What the what? 😱
You’ve been out-hajusuuried! 😂
How lovely! Cuir de Russie was one of the very first samples gifted to me by an NSTer. I fell for it, hard.
You smell perfect.
Only 2 sprays?? You feeling OK? j/k
The long term dry-down of Cuir de Russie is gorgeous. I think it’s time to pull mine out!
Hello!
Sotd is Cherry Oud.
Yesterday I went shopping and I bought 4 pairs of jeans, 2 of each style. They fit so well I had to get BUPairs. Am I the only one who does this?
Nope
I do that too
It’s hard for me to find clothes that fit that aren’t from the girls department 😜
Then BUs are all the more important!
Nope, when I find something that fits well I buy multiples too.
Glad I am not the only one!
Glad I am not the only one!
Same here. If I find something that I like and fits well, I buy 2 of each style or color. That usually happens with jeans and crew neck long sleeve T-shirts.
That reminds me, I need to go hunting for tops.
Yes, you have to get them while you can! Decent clothes are hard to find.
So true! Grab the good ones before they’re gone.
Nope, I have done that with clothes and with shoes as well.
I’ve bought shoes in the same style but different colours.
No I do the same. There is a German brand that I like for trousers and jeans and I’ve more or less stopped trying other brands.
Can you tell us what the brand is? And by any chance do they have tall sizes? I am 5’9″, and almost all pants are too short on me.
Brax, they tend to sell their trousers/jeans in three different lengths (short, normal and long). I’m 1,75 m (which is nearly 5ft9) and I usually take their normal length.
Me too. I tend to stick with certain brands also.
I get back up pairs too. In fact, I just did it last week.
Well done! 😉
There’s a certain style of V-necked T-shirt from JJill I love. You can ask me how many shirts I have 🤣. The style changed over the years but a basic is a basic. I am also akin to Duluth cargo pants …
There are some basic pieces that I repurchase every year, even when the old ones are still good. I have so many sweaters and cardigans…
No! If I can afford it, I will buy multiples of jeans when I find a pair that fits. Otherwise, something will change about them, and I will have to start the process of finding the perfect pair all over again. Also do it with wool socks for winter.
The finding process is annoying sometimes!
Also, who doesn’t need more socks?
Robin, have we ever done a leather/ suede community project?
Not Robin, but I looked at the CP history – the last leather/ suede CP was in December 2022. And I think it was not the first one…
Yes, we’ve done leather twice!
Another rainy day here. How are the clouds holding so much water…
I forgot to answer you question yesterday Robin, but yes I did love The Garden of Evening Mists. This was a recommendation by Kanuka. It was not a book you can speed read through-each line is like poetry. I love a book with a strong sense of place-I felt like I was really in that Japanese garden. I love a good “tension” in a story-frenemies to forbidden lovers..
And the scenes of the tattooing..how sensual.
I would say even though I didn’t have a strong connection to the characters-I found my eyes wet with tears when I finished.
I found it very affecting too…so glad you liked it.
If you have the rainy day blues I see Mr Pitt has a new commercial for Delonghi
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxnbiaOrVzl/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Still wondering why he never came with my espresso maker !? 😂
The older he gets the more I like him.
Glad you liked it.
I loved it! 💫
I’m wearing a favorite transitional scent that I forgot last week, Histoire d’Eau Mauboussin. Such an excellent spicy leather in the weirdest bottle!
A good friend is hosting a luncheon today for 20 good friends. I would be a basket case fixing a lunch spread for 20 at this point in my life, but she loves doing this kind of thing so I will go and enjoy.
Twenty pounds from my goal weight this morning! It’s in sight!
Have a lovely scented day, all.
Congratulations on approaching your goal!
Thank you!
Yay, not far to go!
Congrats on moving toward your goal!
Thanks!
Congratulations! And enjoy your luncheon!
Thank you, it was so much fun.
Awesome update! Congrats!
Thanks Jalapeño!
Awesome!
Molyneux Fête EDT today: I have only a tiny amount left, maybe 2mL left in the bottom of the bottle, and I want to enjoy it while I have it. (Not that I think it’s going to suddenly spoil, not after 50ish years, but better safe than sorry.) It’s everything a vintage chypre should be: brilliant plum/citrus top, an armload of abstract flowers in the No. 5 style, and oakmoss in such quantity that it’s at the forefront right at the start and all the way to the end. Flawless.
They really don’t make them like they used to! I do miss real oakmoss.
It is raining in my part of Texas, and hopefully it will continue most of the day. I am wearing Bill Blass Hot cologne, just because.
Happy to donate the rest of our rain to you!
Giving Shalimar Millésime Iris a full test wear today. So far it smells like Shalimar with extra vanilla. The iris is discreetly in the background but it is there. When I tried it a few days ago it had an enjoyable sweet drydown and lasted a good 8 hours from just one spritz. Doesn’t project a lot but good longevity.
I am passing on buying a FB of this one ☝️
I felt my Tonka flanker didn’t project a lot either
I really enjoy it and normally I am not a Shalimar fan.
It has been raining non-stop since Saturday morning. It is already depressing and overwhelming.
Wearing Chanel Misia EdT to make the day a bit brighter.
Coffee and a toast with peanut butter and jelly.
Happy Monday! ☕️
Sorry for your rainy Monday. We need rain badly where I am, it’s too bad it can’t be evened out.
I wish I could send my rain to you, especially when you guys needed that much! I hope you get some soon! 🌧
We are tired-of-rain twins!
Hopefully, by tomorrow afternoon, the rain will be over!
Misia is such a pretty fragrance.
It is!
Tired of rain triplets with you and Robin!
It is still raining here. I’m looking forward to the sunny weekend with temperatures in the low 70s!
Fourth day of rain here, too. Misia is perfect for the damp and clouds!
Tomorrow is going to be our fourth day of rain here. I love Misia, as well as Bois des Iles, for cold, rainy days!
You smell lovely pl67. 🌞
Thank you, Lillyjo!
Robin, I also thought of using that quote this week! Only I have not come up with the scent to match yet. Something I did not know I liked before trying it…
Today I am wearing Lipstick Rose, just because I want to. But Diana used a lot of rouge, so maybe I can connect a makeup scent with the CP this way?
Points
Thanks!
Just saw this last night, on her rouge:
“Diana’s Kabuki-like blush was a signature that not everyone understood. A kindly flight attendant once offered,”Here, honey, let me rub in your rouge for you.” DV, unbothered, turned to her traveling companion and declared, “How divine, how American!””
https://www.facebook.com/dianavreelandestate/photos/a.182360125170198/1986835154722677/?type=3&paipv=0&eav=AfaajhJen0FPIoFBJ1pytNNUzFfzMpX8fH_nGDndtk1h02rySeGYjbUAdjG9fLGFoDQ&_rdr
lol, I read about it just before posting, but only the flight attendant’s remark. I somehow missed Vreeland’s response. Thanks!
Rocking Chanel No. 22 as we come out of a grey and rainy weekend. Needed something austere yet lush!
Austere is the perfect word for 22.
Those quotes are fantastic! I think this one suits me just fine:
1) “You gotta have style. It helps you get down the stairs. It helps you get up in the morning. It’s a way of life. Without it, you’re nobody.
Never knew I was a “nobody” but there it is, in black and white. 😂 And the only that helps me get up in the morning is coffee, so I’m pretty sure DV and I have different perspectives on life.
Being the nobody that I am, I’m in another incense today- CdG Kyoto. Fist bump 🤜🏼🤛🏼 to all the other nobodies out there. Unite and conquer! The revolution starts with US!
🤜🏻🤛🏻 😀
Ha, I read that quote too…
Having the time, money, (and don’t forget — assistants & servants) to assemble myself into a somebody every day, as DV did, is not something I aspire too. I am always reading about how she was ahead of her time, but there is a sense in which using your clothing and jewelry to telegraph your status to that degree now seems almost quaint. Certainly there is a segment of the population living that way but I don’t think it is as widely admired as it once was.
It reminds me of Truman Capote’s “Swans”.
Right. I don’t know, maybe I am out of touch but I don’t think those kind of women are the “style setters” any more.
cough cough (Kardashians) cough
Ha, I do know it still exists!
Well I guess I’m a nobody too 😉
I think of style as an attitude rather than an appearance, and I would say you have loads of it in the way you live on your own terms, with a cool dog in tow.

SOTD is Lush Pansy, just because it was the first thing I saw, and because it is such a comforting, easy-to-wear, undemanding scent. Sometimes I just want to smell good without having to give my perfume all my attention.
I have days like that too with my perfume
This is the reason I love the original Omnia so much.
I love wearing Infusion d’Iris for those days or Duel.
Pansy is a good pick for a comfort scent.
SOTE now is Amouage Gold, which is definitely more demanding than Pansy, so now more of my attention is being given to how I smell. That’s OK; I had a number of errands and things to do before, but now I have time to just sit and waft olfactory fabulousness.
I arrived in the Haute Provence on Saturday feeling quite nostalgic about leaving Lake Geneva behind. On my way down here I made a brief stop in Annecy which is just beautiful and in a stunning location.
So far I’ve more or less spent two days going to different markets. I’m now well stocked with honeys, a new shopping basket and garlic.
This afternoon I went to visit my favourite olive oil producer to pick up my order. As it’s late September they usually have run out of things so I reserved a bunch of things in June. I also picked up some really nice soap and body lotion in Oraison. It’s good to be back here.
I didn’t even know who Diana Vreeland was, so I’m pretty much going to randomly pick perfumes for this week. Today’s scent of the day was Divine par Divine.
I am so enjoying hearing about your holiday. Back in the 80s I spent a week not far away , camping and climbing in the Verdon gorge. Such beautiful landscape, and so many insects.
I’m close to Forcalquier this time. I love the Gorges du Verdon. I’m not planning going there this time but I will visit Moustiers Sainte Marie, which is close.
I am glad you are enjoying hearing about my holiday. It feels nice to share it here.
I seem to remember a lot of pottery in Moustiers?
It’s what it is famous for Faience de Moustiers.
I adore the savory breads from that whole region, as well as the yeasty slighty sweet ones, and could easily eat my way through the local farmers market and bakeries of Provence.
The fougasses?
DV would love anything called Divine, so points for you anyway.
And extra points for a perfect vacation, although of course that needs no points.
I don’t think Diana Vreeland would much approve of my style, so the closest I’ll get to this CP is scents that are “elegant”, I guess. (I did love Vogue when I was in high school but actually preferred more cutting edge magazines like Taxi, not that I could afford any of the clothes.)
White Cube for me today, for a rainy “bomb cyclone” day in which I’m chained to my desk on meetings all day.
It seems early for a bomb cyclone. Isn’t that the worst weather term?!
You smell great in White Cube!
You’re smell wonderful!
Well, I am definitely in the bold category today. I accidentally went overboard with POAL. I was using a little splash bottle and poured half of it down my arm. I may smell for days. Luckily, I love it ❤️
Come sit next to me!
Sure.
That is a delicious accident!
I thought so too😉
I used to have one of the DV scents – Absolutely Vital. It was a pretty sandalwood but too pale and powdery for me. So today, I’m wearing Md’O Santal Nabatea, which is disappointingly similar, with some added spice. Pass.
I am dreading my afternoon chore today, brushing the dog. He’s a standard poodle, and since it’s been rainy for the last three days, he’s a mess! Wish me patience.
Good luck with brushing. Sounds like a big job.
Thanks, Kanuka! At first, I didn’t realize how sensitive his skin is, and I may have been less than gentle. Now he runs away whenever I get out the equipment. 🙁
But it has to be done.
Maybe give your poodle a special treat after the brushing is done? 🐩
Oh yes, he got lots both during and after! 😁 After the initial fright, he was very good! 🦴🐩
I was listening to a radio interview with an American yesterday who casually mentioned that Americans don’t put butter ( or non-diary equivalent ) on sandwiches. This provoked disbelief and a major discussion between the radio host and texts from listeners, many confirming that it’s true ( and that mayonnaise is more common) . Wondered if it really is true. How can you eat bread and honey, or bread and jam without butter? What would Diana Vreeland say? Wearing Lush Let the Good Times Roll for its buttery popcorn notes.
Well, bread and honey and bread and jam wouldn’t fit my definition of “sandwich”, so of course I’d use butter there. I can confirm that the standard meat sandwich in North America is much more likely to be done with mayonnaise and mustard than butter.
Big mustard fan here! I love it, lots of the spicy brown is the bomb! Gives just about any sandwich life. The only time I use butter is if I’m grilling a sandwich- like a grilled cheese or grilled PB&J.
What about all that beautiful Irish butter? It tastes so grassy and creamy. Think what you’re missing!
Sadly most of the butter available here isn’t as flavourful as European butter. I learned a lot the last year I was living in Germany — so many of my recipes using butter just turned out…better. Then I started doing some investigation and realized that the EU mandates higher fat content in butter.
It is possible to get butter made locally here where the cows are grazing on grass, or to get European butter, but it costs a fortune.
That’s so funny! And true.
When I ordered a ham sandwich in Paris, I was shocked to find it slathered in butter! What?!? Is there not enough fat in the ham?
If I were to eat bread and honey or bread and jam with the bread untoasted, I would not butter it. But toasted bread with honey or jam will have butter. Sandwiches will have mayo or mustard or some variation except for cucumber. Cucumber sandwiches will be buttered.
I would eat cucumber with cream cheese, not butter.
I eat butter and pickle sandwiches. I would use mayonnaise for any sandwich that has meat on it.
Right back to my childhood! I love a dill pickle sandwich, and of course with butter!
https://www.foodtimeline.org/foodsandwiches.html
So, looking at this historical food timeline of sandwiches, the very first mentions of sandwiches in America, from the 1830s all start with butter. Sandwiches for travellers etc. describe the first sandwich recipes from cook books. Interesting.
“No wire hangers!”
Just kidding. No butter on any sandwich unless it just toast with butter, and therefore, not a sandwich.
How interesting! I put butter on every piece of bread I eat – sandwich, toast, whatever. If I want mayonnaise or mustard, I put that on top of the butter 🙂
My kids only like butter, no to mayonnaise and mustard. So their sandwich is butter cheese and whatever comes next.. meat or nothing.
For me, I am like you. Butter first, and then whatever comes next.. mustard..mayonnaise ,, even olive oil
I don’t know what Diana Vreeland would say about butter on sandwiches, but she had interesting thoughts on white bread: “People who eat white bread have no dreams.” 😱😰
Omg, that’s too funny! 🤣
She did say, “ Peanut butter is the greatest invention since Christianity” ( so I guess she is in team “no butter”.
Apparently she ate peanut butter with marmalade sandwiches for lunch every day ( Paddington is turning in his grave )
😂
and a shot of scotch for lunch!
Peanut butter and marmalade sandwiches were a favorite of mine as a kid.
Who knew I had something in common with Diana Vreeland??
No butter on my sandwiches, unless it’s a grilled cheese. Cinnamon toast does not count as a sandwich. And American-style biscuits with honey butter also do not count.
Butter on a grilled cheese, yes, but–have you ever tried spreading the outsides with mayonnaise before grilling them?
I have never done that. Is it good?
Yes!
I am going to try it.
I have not done the mayo thing with grilled cheese personally, but have heard that it is quite tasty.
I did get some shredded cheese on the outside of the last grilled cheese sammie I made, and that was really good!
I think the preferences have shifted over the years. When I was growing up, the sandwiches my mom made for us had butter, not mayo. I have also seen American movies and TV shows from the 50’s and 60’s where someone was making a sandwich, and they were using butter. Personally, I usually use mayo for an actual sandwich. Bread with jam/jelly/marmalade is not a sandwich, toasted or not. a PB&J, of course, has neither butter nor mayo, just the peanut butter and the jelly.
Unless you grill the PB&J. That’s how my grandmother made it for me when I was a kid. The peanut butter gets all soft and gooey and jam oozes out all over. I think half the fun was making a mess when eating it. I miss my grandmother every single day. 😢
I’ve never tried grilling a PB&J. So do you put the butter on the inside or on the outside?
When I used to eat bread, I loved ham and butter sandwiches. I would say by and large, people here found that weird.
Mayo is the usual thing.
People absolutely do put butter on bread or toast, though.
Most butter here is bland, though, as ockeghem pointed out above, unless you buy imported butter.
I’m wearing Rhubarb Ecarlate this morning. I am afraid DV would be very disappointed in me in the matter of “style.” I recall several occasions in my life when someone looked at me and said, “You’re wearing that??” But that was before I adopted my daily cold weather look of a turtleneck and jeans. Not stylish, but comfortable and warm.
I think jeans and a turtleneck are stylish. I just bought a Heather blue one.
I still wear turtlenecks all the time. I don’t care if they are out of style. When it is really cold, they are great under a sweater or sweatshirt.
Me too! I can’t stand it if my neck is cold (or anything is cold, for that matter😬) Turtlenecks and scarves are lifesavers!
I’ll have to read a bit more about Diana Vreeland, I don’t think her particular style appeals to me (good thing too, not having her wealth), but I like the fact she had her own opinions.
All the comments on leather made me think of Cabochard, so I’ll wear that today and feel very stylish in the office.
She was a character. I’d say at this point she is appreciated for that as much as anything.
Observed a very tiny salamander this afternoon on the terrace it made my day.
Dinner was ratatouille and organic pasta.
Scent from my very limited collection is Eau de Néroli doré, quiet, smells delightful and lasts well. Like many I wore it during saffron CP, and I was struck by how much I enjoyed it.
How fantastic. It would make my day, too.
It looked so perfect, its little paws.
I don’t think I have seen a salamander since I was a kid!
Oh, so you know what they look like, they are rather like a fancy lizard, aren’t they, so elegant, I was thrilled.
Shalimar Mission Impossible again today. 🥰
Someone’s in love 🥰…
’tis true…Vanilla never lets me down… 😍
https://youtu.be/XAYhNHhxN0A
❤️ I love the theme! I love soundtracks/music scores in general but have never googled the composer. Very interesting wikipedia entry on the song and the composer has done many other albums and scores too….appears to still be alive at 91 too…so fascinating…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theme_from_Mission:_Impossible
Proof positive that a great piece of music is timeless!
SOTD = Guerlain Tobacco Honey
Tobacco, honey, oud, sandalwood. I do love it but think it needs a little bit more time to mature. I will offer it up during Splitmeet.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CxoFOSuxovL/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
I got a text stating that I owe for my Verizon account but upon checking my online banking, it shows payment was made as per usual. I did get the home phone / DSL cut off so it can’t be that. Anyway, so I called because I noticed that “someone” placed an order for 4 iPhone 13 minis in green, which was the exact same order from 18 months ago. After a total of a little over an hour between hold times and such, I got no satisfaction because the email I got was that the order from 18 months ago was cancelled! I will check again tomorrow and now wonder if that has anything to do with me being unable to receive some text messages? 🤔
Ugh, I gotta pay my cell phone bill in the next couple of days. I will do that when my brain is working.
I am not sure what the deal is with my bill but I am not getting any text messages and couldn’t log in without it. Technology – aaaargh!
So.. do you like it? I can’t tell what you mean by mature..?
I will be happy to go in on the split. I felt that it was very long lasting on the skin and different then anything in my collection
I like it! I just think it was rushed to market and can use some time undisturbed to smoothen out the notes.
I think I will sample Tobacco Honey this week.
Oooh, do tell once you do!
I sampled it on paper and it was…precisely and simply tobacco and honey. I completely get your suggestion that it needs to mature. I like tobacco, and I like honey, but I feel like it needed just a little something more to complicate it. Otherwise it was like this awful honey bourbon my sister and her spouse like.
By chance, I am absolutely in “what I never knew I wanted” — Roísín Dubh. When we arrived in Galway last year and I sought out Cloon Keen, I was just about certain that I would purchase Frosted Moon, their Iris scent. And didn’t really see the point in getting another rose fragrance — I have a couple, I like them, but do not crave rose the way I do Iris.
Until now, of course. I wore Roísín Dubh all weekend and today and I cannot stop sniffing myself. I smell fab. 🙂
Oh nice!
I need to get back to Ireland to try Cloon Keen! I loved Galway when we were there some years back, but we were only there overnight before leaving for the Aran Islands and we were very jetlagged. Anyway, I love a good rose scent.
I randomly grabbed a sample to try today, and it was Lake and Skye Saffron Dusk. Black cherry laundry musk. Meh. Very much wishing I’d gone with Philosykos, too!
“Laundry musk”? (shudder)
Fortunately, it scrubbed off easily and now I’m in Caligna like a sensible person.
😀👍
Song of the Day: https://youtu.be/GpBFOJ3R0M4
This is NOT my own opinion. I just love the song. It’s been raining here since late Friday, and the weather is getting on my nerves. No severe weather issues here: the worst thing that happened was the wind blew the cover off our electric grill sometime over the weekend. One of our neighbors found it.
SOTD = back in a couple tiny drops of Aedes de Venustas EdP. I might have enough for another go at it later on this week. If not, then sample thunked!
Woohoo on the ADV!
Such a shame that it was discontinued! But very glad I had the chance to try and enjoy it.
You can send that rain over to Texas if you like. We have had an awful drought this summer. We have had a little rain the past few weeks, but we could use a whole lot more.
I would love for someplace parched to get this!
Some of the lawns in my area have big honking toadstools popping up now. That’s a sure sign of too much moisture. 🍄
Someone must have answered my request, because almost as soon as I posted, it started raining here. A full on thunderstorm, the whole works. It’s wonderful.
I didn’t know AdP was discontinued. I hope you get some sunshine soon.
The very first fragrance that was put out under their name has been discontinued for a while now. But the brand still lives on.
And lives on without Oeillet Bengale. Makes me sad. I was just in their store in May when I was in NYC and pointed out how much I love Oeillet Bengale.
Was someone saying recently that Encens Japonais is the updated original AdV?
Ah, this is where you need a good rain playlist! Garbage is definitely on mine, which ranges from Hendrix to Leonard Cohen to Eddie Rabbitt to Concrete Blonde to Missy Elliott to Eurythmics to Oran Juice Jones to Prince. And Steve Reich. And so many more.
In November in Vancouver, you’ve gotta have a good rain playlist to get you through!
Gris Dior
Beautiful!
Wearing Coco Noir from a sample. It’s raining (off and on) and will be for the next four days. I’m loving it plus we desperately need it. The windows are all open to let the fresh air in.
It’s nice when it rains just enough.
Yes, the rain is nice! Until I have to go jogging…
So, I read somewhere that Diana Vreeland injected perfume into her pillows. CP points to me for bringing to your attention. Or bringing it back to your attention if it’s already been mentioned above.
Taking additional, partial CP points today in my choice vintage Metal, since Vreeland and Paco Rabanne surely intersected and certainly shared a love of dramatic glam.
Per the above convo – butter and anchovies on baguette is a thing of beauty.
Finally, who was I discussing Black Cashmere with the other day, week? Please emerge from the [cashmere] woodwork and let me know!
Apparently having a Day of No Meetings has made me chatty….
I have never heard of perfume injection! I wonder how much was used? I would worry about the filling getting too wet.
I wouldn’t think you would need to use enough for that to be a problem. Besides, pillows absorb moisture from you anyway while you sleep, as does all your bedding. Besides, most of the liquid in perfume is either oil or alcohol, not water.
Anything on a baguette with butter is pure perfection!
Hi all,
I’m in Jaques Fath L’Iris. I found it at a discount via a fellow fumie. I love it so much, but like 28 La Pausa, I have to drench myself in it. It’s very similar, but a wee bit sweeter due to the peach note.
I ran out of time yesterday (as usual – I am a night owl and tend to miss the fun weekend questions) but I noticed that a lot of NSTrs mentioned the original Iris Gris.
Question – has anyone compared the two side by side? Has anyone tried the newer L’Iris?
Have a good week everyone!
I haven’t tried the original Iris Gris but I also got a bottle of L’Iris de Fath and I like it too but totally agree about the longevity issue.
I’m planning to offer it at the Splitmeet in 3mls and a couple of 5mls if anyone is interested.
This must be the year of Let’s drain Lillyjo’s pocketbook for me.
My car is making some sounds again. I can’t get in until Monday. I started looking at used cars and immediately stopped. I don’t think I will ever be able to get another car if these prices stay this way.
Anyway… at least I smell good in Fleur de Chine. 🌞
Aw, sorry that you are having long term car issues. 😤😢
Have you considered checking out used cars from a rental company?
A link that might make you smile: https://youtu.be/X8GjbhvJbi4
What jalapeño said; however, make sure you have trusted mechanic to give it the once over.
Ugh, sorry about the car trouble lillyjo.
🙄Car trouble is so unpredictable, sorry you have to deal with that, hope it can get fixed for cheap.
