Matière Première, the French niche house of perfumer Aurélien Guichard, will launch Vanilla Powder, a new fragrance, in October.
“Vanilla is a raw material I’ve always wanted to include in the Matière Première collection. This fragrance is a refined vanilla. Its dark richness meets an explosion of white modern powders.” —Aurélien Guichard — Founder and Creative Perfumer
Additional notes include coconut, palo santo and white musk.
Matière Première Vanilla Powder will be available in 6, 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Vanilla, coconut, palo santo, musks…
What exactly does “modern white powders” mean?
I am picturing puffs of laundry detergent, coconut after sun talcum powder, incense ash, vanilla flavored powdered sugar all floating around my face and getting in my eyes…
Not as intriguing as the copy person hoped, I suspect… but I am a grinch, I guess!
I’ll probably never encounter this perfume, but I do like that there will be a 6 ml size offered. If only ALL houses would offer a size in the 5 ml to 10 ml range.
If only! Totally agree!
I likewise take it to mean clean…
You are such a good translator of ad copy!
Unfortunately I think you are right.
Gosh everyone is releasing their vanillas right now.
