Another one I’m looking forward to. They said they will have it by mid September, will try to test on the 15th when I go to the Guerlain launch.
I’m looking forward to it too.
Notes sound good and the travel size is a deal maker.
Excited squealing re a travel spray
sameeeeee
Yay for 10 ml!
Don’t nearly all of Estée Lauder brands offer travel sprays now ? Tom Ford, Kilian , Malle , Le Labo, Aerin etc – seems to be something EL actively pushed when they buy up a brand.
Yep, I’m interested in this one. If there’s a travel size, that’s fantastic — one of the things I love about Malle, honestly. I wish more brands had them.
Me too!
I could listen to these two talking forever, even though it’s an ad it’s so different from the usual perfume commercials I find. It sounds quite opulent, maybe a bit in the grand style of Houbigant Essence Rare which he made just after leaving Hermes.
Yes, I’d call it a perfume conversation and as such found it far too short
So intelligent isn’t it, no cliché.
I am in line!
Just read a few comments on Basenotes, there is a lot of clove plus vanilla, comparing it to Guerlain Lui, now called Oeillet Pourpre.
Oooo, thanks for pointing that out. I am not a fan of that Guerlain
Ditto, don’t care for that much spice.
I had a chance to sniff in on a blotter and liked it a lot! Hoping I’ll love it on skin…
*it on a blotter
It’s definitely better than Uncut Gem, but still not up the the standard of old school Frederic Malle when pretty much every release they put out was a winner. On me it was nice, but the longevity & projection were mediocre which given the price was disappointing ! I’ve seen a couple of reviews for it already & they seem to be moderately enthusiastic.
I’m finding that a large majority of what I’m smelling nowadays lacks projection/sillage. Not sure why that is but it’s annoying given the elevated prices.

Perfume/Movie match!
I like a warm perfume and I’m not shy about wearing a spicy perfume. I’m glad Jean-Claude Ellena is still making perfume and I’d probably try this regardless of the scent notes just because he made it. That said as much as I like him there’s no way I’m spending $275-$395. I get the Frédéric Malle 10 mL sizes instead and I usually wait till Nordstrom or Saks has a 15% off beauty sale.
