French niche line Frédéric Malle will launch Heaven Can Wait, a new fragrance developed by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.
This new opus is the result of the collaborative work between Frédéric Malle and his lifelong friend Jean Clause [sic] Ellena, with whom he had already signed five previous editions. To bring this fragrance to life, the duo had to take a step back so they could advance step by step towards the final scent. “This is Jean-Claude Ellena’s voyage into the richness of warm spices – clove, carrot seed and ambrette. It stands as one of his greatest masterpieces, driven by a theme more symphonic than ever. I’m deeply proud to have played a role in this creative process alongside Jean-Claude.”
I will update with more information when I can!
Frédéric Malle Heaven Can Wait will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and possibly other sizes as well.

Update: per High Snobiety...
Warm, rich notes like clove, pimento, and vanilla mingle with powdery iris and soft musk, creating what Ellena describes as a "romantic invitation."
[...] Carrot seed and plum offset the immediate warmth of Heaven Can Wait with a cool crispness that hints at something melancholy — like lovers who've reunited, only to lose touch once again.
Another update: the description from Frédéric Malle, where there is also a 10 ml size for £55...
HEAVEN CAN WAIT is Jean-Claude Ellena’s sensual journey in warm spice. Clove, pimento, ambrette and carrot seed are joined by the sophisticated beauty of iris. Vetiver brings structure and vibrancy; facets of peach and prune, roundness.
This spicy perfume is inspired in part by the intimacy of private worlds, the result is a modern rendering of a Parisian classic: understated, discreet and noble–an eternal seduction, simultaneously exotic and comforting. This unisex perfume subtly draws one in irresistibly and invites embrace.
The result is something we now appreciate more than ever: a private heaven.

Oh no! Anything JCE for me, I might as well hand my money over now! Ha!
🙂
I was just at a FM boutique in Paris and the SA told me that it would contain notes of Iris/Orris and possibly vanilla. Can’t wait to sniff it!
Wow 🤩
One site said magnolia and iris. Did not know if that was accurate.
And should have added…someone on basenotes calls it a musky iris with magnolia.
Fragrantica listed the same notes (with musk as the base.) Yet the user Vaasanai commented it is incorrect and said the notes should be: “Clove, pimento, prune, plum, Iris, vetiver, Vanilla, ambrette and carrot seeds.”
Either way, I suppose we would have the official press release soon : )
SOLD.
Ohno this sounds up my alley!
