It's Friday, World Creativity and Innovation Day, and if you’re in the UK, it's National Tea Day. Birthdays: Charlotte Brontë, Elizabeth II, Iggy Pop. Our community project for today: wear a spring floral, or any fragrance that makes you think of spring.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
Me: day two in L’Artisan Parfumeur Jacinthe des Bois.
Reminder: 4/28 will be Clever Twist Friday...wear a perfume with a clever twist or pun in the name, or just a name that you found particularly clever. Bonus points if it actually smells good! Suggested by Akimon, who gave as an example Jimmy Choo I Want Choo.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2023, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I watched The Devil Wears Prada this week (so good) and I guess someone has to quote Miranda Priestly and I guess it might as well be me: “Florals? For spring. Groundbreaking.”
But spring is about flowers, isn’t it? I don’t own anything that counts as a classic floral, because that’s never been my thing: any flower-adjacent scent in my collection is a chypre and/or an oriental, or it’s aggressively teeth-and-claws, like today’s wear, Comme des Garçons Carnation, the most savage carnation I know.
I’ve never seen that movie, will have to add it to my watch list.
You’re in for a treat!
A favorite. But then again it is Meryl Streep so even if it was a terrible movie I’d still recommend it!🤷🏼♂️🤣🤣
CDG Carnation is…feisty and stands up for itself, unlike some of its wimpier perfume cousins, I’d say.
Hehe I’m glad you said it. I’ve been thinking of that quote all week. And while not groundbreaking, I love a spring floral in clothing and perfume.
You smell nice. I have a bottle except it is one of the shortest-lived perfumes in my collection. Let’s weep – 4 sprays, 20 minutes.
That *is* sad! It’s always been good for a few solid hours on me. I put it on eight hours ago and while it’s not perfuming the air — it’s very linear and there aren’t many base notes in it, to say the least — I can still smell it if I put my nose right up to my skin.
That CdG sounds fantastic!
I went with Eau d’Hadrien, because I’m off to the dentist to have a retainer made lol. Wearing my teeth out at night. It’s like I’m reverting to my fourteen year old self!
Hope everyone’s weekend is great.
Sincerely,
Carole
Good luck Carole!
Have a great weekend too, Carole!
Enjoy the weekend and good luck with your dentist appointment!
i wear a retainer since my mid twentys, otherwise all my fillings would have fallen out. you get used to it
Good luck with the appointment, I too have a retainer.
Hope that your dentist appointment went well. I sleep with a night guard for my teeth; it reduces grinding.
Like pyramus, I don’t own anything that counts as a classic floral either. Ideally I would have chosen either Apres l’Ondee or La Chasse Aux Papillons for today, but since I don’t own either, I went with Fleur de Peau.
It’s beautiful and sunny today, not a cloud in the sky.🌞 We had strange weather yesterday including a tornado watch I was unaware of until after I had gone out for an after lunch walk. Temps are still below normal but as long as there’s sun, I’ll take it.
Both my college grad and I are off today. She leaves for her summer camp job a month from yesterday so I’m enjoying every last day together. Today is shopping, lunch and girl talk. My favorite kind of day.☺️
How nice, enjoy!
Thanks ringthing!😀
Have a lovely day with your daughter!! So sweet that the two of you are so close <3
Fleur de Peau is a favorite easy reach for me, you smell nice!!
You smell great, enjoy the time with your daughter.
Enjoy! I wish I could still do that with my mom, we had lots of fun times together.
Yikes on that Tornado Watch!
Enjoy the time with your college grad.
Wearing Diptyque Do Son for the CP.
I am so glad it is finally Friday! What a long week!
Beautiful sunny day, and not as cold as previous days. Coffee and an almond croissant.
Happy Friday! ☕️🌞
House and sunny day twin!🌞🙌 Happy Friday!☕️
Yay! Twins!
Enjoy your day off with your daughter! 🌞🌻
Thanks pl67!
Perfect scent for the CP and a good one at that!
Thank you, Kris!
almond croissant!!! yum!
😀🥐
Oh, almond croissant makes me think of my childhood in France.
Sweet memories! They are so tasty!
I had black tea and a chocolate croissant. Happy Friday!
Croissant cousins! Delish!
Do Son is quite pretty. And almond croissants are the BEST, yum!
I can’t complain! 😀
I went with Wet Garden by Demeter, which is appropriate for the wet spring that we’ve had this year. I was wishing that I had bought Florist’s Fridge before Smell Bent went out of business. But I love the hyacinth in Wet Garden, so that’s fine.
I am here a day late, but sounds like we were hyacinth cousins 🙂
Wearing Parure–it has lilac for the spring floral but also enough heft to deal with grey overcast chilly weather
Wish I still had some Parure and that it was still in production. You smell great.
Dame Wisteria Soliflore, since I already wore Apres L’Ondee, Vivacious, Diorissimo, and Dilletante this week. I do not have a Linden scent at the moment. Anyone have a favorite I should try?
Grand Chalet and Pretty Machine are my linden favorites
I have not actually smelled either of these! Thanks!
Those would be my votes too.
D’Orsay Vouloir Être Ailleurs is lovely. It’s their Tilleul update.
I have not smelled this- was not really aware of it at all! Thanks!
Another vote for Grand Chalet or JM French Lime Blossom
JM French Lime Blossom is very pretty but might be discontinued.
It is and it’s my favorite linden
I think Dame Perfumery has a Linden Blossom soliflore.
Oh, I haven’t seen it there! Thanks!
I’ll add another vote for Grand Chalet and also mention Provence Sante Linden. It’s a good cheapie, and their Linden shower gel is wonderful too. I see they’ve changed the packaging and added a pump to the shower gel instead of just pouring it out, so that’s a big upgrade!
Oh, so helpful. It’s so hard to buy bath products blind!
I’m wearing Chanel 19 today because the galbanum and iris smell like spring to me, although I wear No.19 year round.
You smell wonderful!
Thanks, as do you 😊
Seconding perfumelover67!
Same answer!
I’ll chime in for the community project with Frédéric Malle ‘En Passant’ by Olivia Giacobetti. It smells like lilacs after the rain and always makes me think of spring. I like that Frédéric Malle credits the perfumers that make his perfumes. In my opinion Olivia Giacobetti is a talented perfumer and so is Anne Flipo who made ‘Jacinthe des Bois’ for L’Artisan Parfumeur. They both have made several perfumes for L’Artisan Parfumeur in the past which I have really liked. Ann Flipo has also made some spring/summer favorites of mine I have for Jo Malone, ‘Basil & Neroli’ and ‘Honeysuckle & Davana’. Most recently Ann made a fragrance for the Jo Malone Highlands collection, ‘Melancholy Thistle’, which is my favorite of the four.
Lots of good picks for the CP btw
That’s a great pick.
I have yet to try that scent, but I like so many of FM’s that I think I will need to look into that one.
i liked En Passant, when i tested it, sadly not the price of the bottle. but you do smell very nice and springlike
We are scent twins!
Biehl PC01 finally has a name, or nickname, of Mango Forest, although I’ve thought of it more as grassy. It says spring, or possibly it bounces right into summer…
Nothing wrong with bouncing into summer!!
Creed Wind Flowers and a large cup of English breakfast tea.
A spritz of BF Au Dela before I fall into bed! Looking forward to some very deep sleep sporting my favorite eye mask which makes my eyeballs feel as they swaddled in the softest baby blanket. Something very soothing about that. Saw a vary Fancy Daffy on my walk with doggo this morning. So FRILLY! 😍
Hi twin! We smell wonderful!
You win this CP!
I chose the long discontinued Chloé Innocence for another prominent hyacinth note.
Always happy to expand the hyacinth club 🙂
I’m going with Tauerville Hyacinth and a Mechanic for spring with a twist.
Oh, yes, that’s a good one! I wish my decant wasn’t all used up!
Well, I finally unearthed the little sample of Fox in the Flowerbed last night, and it is fully as perfect for the CP as Pretty Machine was yesterday. Linden doesn’t always work for me so a FB of PM probably won’t be joining my collection (especially since Kerosene doesn’t do small), but a travel spray of Fox most definitely will — it’s quite lovely, and totally nails its ad-copy theme of “the pursuit of serenity”. Happy Friday everyone!
Oh, what the heck — a FB of Fox is on its way to me. Support your local perfumer, I say! 😆
I have a travel spray which is plenty big enough but I want a fb of FitF because I love the label. Enjoy!
I admit that pretty label was part of my rationale. 🙂
Congratulations on a new bottle.
Scent twins! I thought it was worth getting the FB so I did when it first came out. Enjoy. You smell great!
Hi twin, and thanks!
I hear you on linden. Something about it sets my teeth on edge.
Exactly. It’s sometimes too sharply sweet or something. I do enjoy its green-ness though.
Chamade this morning, my bit of springtime in a bottle. It’s a tradition to wear it this time of year.
Thanks for reminding me of Chamade, perfect for spring indeed!
I read Chamade as cooler weather because of the cinnamon-y note, but still weqr it whenever! So good!!
Such a lovely scent!
Wearing Deneuve extrait today. Loads of hyacinth and other spring flowers.
I bet that smells wonderful.
FRiday! Payday!
SOTD is Fenty. Great for spring and today is perfect out.
Hope the day was perfect to match!
Happy Friday friends!
I am in Chanel No. 5 EDT because I have a hankering for it. No. 5 is chock full of florals, so I think it counts as a spring scent 🙂 I love the EDT so much, and it is light enough for overspraying!
Allergies update: I talked to a doctor and got prescription eyedrops and nasal spray and it works so well compared to the OTC stuff I had been using! It does have an unfortunate side effect of a lingering bitter taste at the back of my throat (with the eyedrops it hits about 20mins in, so now I know that my eyeballs and throat mucus membranes are connected…).
Chanel No. 5 EDT is one of my favorites.
I have a question on the allergies. I got sick when I was in North Carolina with sore throat, loss of my voice and coughing. On the way home it turned into congestion, red/mattery eyes and constant coughing. When I got back home, I finally went to the doctor and he checked me for flu, Covid, pneumonia and strep. All negative. Although I am a nurse, I have never had allergies so wondering if that is what I have. The doctor said it was a virus so put me on a steroid pack. I am on my third week of felling like crap and nothing seems to be helping. Wondering if I am treating with the wrong meds.
Ooof I’m sorry to hear about the sickness 🙁 I’m no doctor but it is not unheard of to develop allergies in adulthood. Mine is locality based, I only developed allergies after living in my current area. The telltale sign for me that it’s allergies is itchy/sore eyes, which I don’t get with flu/colds. Maybe worth talking to your doctor again? My allergy meds kicked in pretty quick fwiw.
Yes, if it doesn’t get better soon I am going to have to go back. Thanks.
Hubby says the same…the lingering aftertaste. He has really bad seasonal allergies as well.
Truly a bizarre experience. Wishing your hubby all the best with seasonal allergies as well! Hope it doesn’t last too long this year.
Glad you are feeling better with the new meds.
thank you friend <3
The EDT is my favorite too, you smell lovely, I have EDP but only for reference so to speak.
I know exactly what you are talking about with eyedrops and the back of the throat! I used to use artificial tears for dry eyes, and I had that horrible taste for the first few weeks. Bleah!
I went with En Passant today even though the lilacs aren’t blooming yet. I think they will within a week or two because I saw some buds forming on a bush earlier in the week. And our temps are supposed to warm up to the 60s, which will help. So glad it’s Friday as this week back to work after a week of vacation has brought some challenges. I’m also going to a concert tonight and planning to eat Latin food at a new spot.
En Passant is so beautiful and I’m with you on excitedly waiting for the lilacs to bloom. Have fun tonight!
I have not tried this before but becoming more interested in it. Do you think it is a safe blind buy?
Hmm maybe go for a small travel size first? eBay has a bunch of 3.5ml samples at reasonable prices. It’s pretty safe if you like lilac perfumes but it’s not the most long lasting, at least on my skin.
If I had more than just a couple ml left in my decant, I’d offer to send you some to try.
Oh, no problem. I have been kind of looking at it for awhile. It is on sale at Jomashop and I can always get a travel spray if I don’t want the FB.
Thanks, allo!
SOTD = DSH Oeillets Rouges
Several people mentioned carnations and although they usually bloom in later Spring, I feel like we’ve been there and back. It is a favorite carnation, so thick that it gums up the atomizer (although it was fine this morning).
People who cycle on the streets of Manhattan – why do they insist on riding the wrong way? Seriously, this is how accidents happen! I was thisclose to getting into one because 2 unrelated cyclists de used to ride down a one way West to East street by going the other direction. When one is already looking at the light as it is about to turn green, these 2 idiots nonchalantly went the wrong way. If I was in a car and hit them inadvertently, who do you think will be found at fault? Oy and Oy!
Cyclists are the true menaces of Manhattan roads!
I love carnations too, especially the spicy-clovey perfumes!
There are going to be more cyclists when the weather gets warmer.
I haven’t met a carnation I didn’t like!
It sounds like you need more cycle lanes so everyone is safer
Agreed! NJ barely has any bike lanes. NYC has some but many just careen all around despite the bike lanes.
So happy that Montreal has tons of bike lanes, makes it safer for everyone.
Lucky, although I have not been tempted to ride (I have to first get a bike!).
Bicyclists are a bane on some narrow county roads in my area. Riding on a 2-lane road with no shoulders is an accident waiting to happen…
Like Kanuka said, we should have more bike lanes. There should also be some no bikes allowed roads.
I’m fairly sure that bikes aren’t allowed on some of the roads here. The cyclists do it anyway.
Would be nice to have some dedicated bike trails that could get people from Point A to Point B.
Cleef and Arpels First edt was todays choice. the aldehydes make it feel fresh and sparkly. it was my last day of sick leave, because i lost nearly all of my voice. but after a week of being silent and hardly talking it finally is better.
went to the farmers market for french cheese and some meat and did a very slow bike ride in the sun in the afternoon. and fresh asparagus for dinner!
you smell so beautiful. First is very nostalgic for me because my first boyfriend bought me First many years ago……
Do you eat the white asparagus or green? Glad you are feeling better
I made the white ones, seeved with butter and fluffy herbed pancakes, a specialty from germany
Glad you have your voice back. First is very classy.
Glad you are getting better!
How do you prepare your asparagus? I roasted some for Easter dinner, and it was delicious!
You didn’t ask me but I’ll volunteer anyway. I either:
– cut each stalk in half, pan fry and sprinkle some black pepper
– leave it whole, work in olive oil and black pepper, then air fry
Fox in the Flowerbed today though it certainly is not the weather for it here. Snowing and cold again.
Have a good weekend everyone!
I hope you have a great weekend too and the sun brings some warmth
Thanks. The warmth will eventually get here😊
Didn’t want to comment above but I hope you get some answers/relief soon about your respiratory problems.
Thanks. Yes, it’s getting a little maddening. I’m just never sick so very unusual for me. Every time I think it’s getting better, I start hacking all night.
Hope that you get some answers about why you aren’t feeling right soon.
FWIW, watery and gunky eyes are a dead giveaway that I am dealing with allergies. But I’ve had mine for ages.
Do you sound like you have a cold? I am stuffed up and then at night the coughing starts up. I think I am going to try allergy medicine next since nothing is working. Thanks.
Usually not, unless my sinuses are giving me h3ll. Typical allergy symptoms for me are lots of sneezing and itchy, watery eyes. Most of the time, it’s mild enough that I don’t bother with any OTC meds.
I did have allergy shots as a kid, though. So I suspect that the immunotherapy helped.
Could be just a cold that is taking a long time to go away. I know a physician that said his theory is that many people ended with depressed immune systems after people protected themselves so much during the pandemic. Now that people are out and about more, their immune systems are trying to get back to normal. Kind of makes sense.
no 19 perfume (vintage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
woohoo enjoy!!!
😍😍😍
Scent almost twins, not sure how old my bottle is.
Hi twin!
Nice!
The sugar water I put out for the birds is still attracting a nice swarm of bees and I get so much joy watching them, and seeing how they interact with the birds and each other. The bees are very calm and they have grown used to my presence when ai top up the water. I love the tradition of “ telling the bees” where you talk to them, and tell them the daily news. The birds all come when I call now, and it is such a privilege to be part of that world. So, an autumn story as we settle down for the cold months when food is more scarce for the birds and bees. Wearing Bracken
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telling_the_bees
Enjoy the familiar birds and bees, hope winter will be mild.
Your perfume choice is perfect and love the bees & birds!
I loved your post! Never heard about ‘telling the bees,’ thank you so much for sharing this! I’m enjoying our spring birdsong so much! No bees yet here but soon.
Kayali Yum Pistachio today. Very nice stuff! I think some people found it soapy but I don’t – or maybe the bits that they find soapy I like because they temper the sugar. I like it, it is definitely gourmand-y but doesn’t go into full sugar territory. I think I am going to be pulling it out a lot this fall.
I haven’t smelled it yet, it sounds good.
It’s really really good, and for once Kayali’s synthetic drydowns did not pitch!LoveLove!
I found Eden Juicy Apple to have an overwhelmingly Febreeze drydown, but I think I could happily live in the Deja Vu drydown throughout the cooler months pretty much around the clock ;D
I’m going to have to sniff this at Sephora. The spring sale is still going on and I get 20% off!
Whoo! Do it! 😀
Mandarins with pears and yogurt smoothie, the pears are from South Africa, so not local unfortunately but they are juicy.
Jacomo Silences Purple, floral but maybe more summer floral, I added a spritz of Outremer Vanille which I like very much, it’s simple but very good, the combo was great, like a sister of Dior Addict with those flowers and vanilla. Tonight it’s vintage Esprit de Parfum Diorissimo, I had forgotten how heady this is.
Enjoy your Friday everyone.
Happy Friday to you, too!
Vintage Diorissimo EdT packs a punch, so I can only imagine what a powerhouse the Esprit de Parfum is! Wowza!
It really is almost too much of a good thing.
Another round of New Look, because I don’t have access to my perfumes yet. I did buy the Fox in the Flowerbed candle. :-). Should have bought another bottle of the perfume. I bought Cape Heartache candle as well and it is sooo strong I’m going to have to wait until it’s warm enough to burn it with the windows open.
When do you get your perfumes?
They should arrive mid May. 🙂
Happy Friday!
Monteil Royal Secret from my Mom’s collection.Good memories that makes me smile and miss her terribly.
Apartment:JB is moving at the end of May!!I went to have a look this afternoon, and fell in love immediately.Longterm rental and a seperate perfume room(finally!haha!)
XO’s
Congratulations 🎉
Best of luck with the move!
Great news!
Aren’t perfume memories wonderful? Congrats on the new apartment and wow, how cool to have a separate perfume room!
Woo-hoo!
I’m glad you found a place you will love.
Yay, but I won’t believe it until you post pics of the perfume room!
Congratulations!!
Your mother had excellent taste, so special that you have her bottle. Excited for you about the move.
SotD for the CP Au Dela Narcisse, the older version. ADN is very much the kind of perfume I love. However, I am also getting an occasional wiff of some of the decants I finished up today for the Swapmeet. 😀
Looking at you, LVEB Iris Absolu. After two Summer days, back to a nice cool day of April showers! Hope everyone’s weekend is off to a good start.
Have you tried the newer version of Au Dela Narcisse?
No; as much as I like it, I have not tried any others from Bruno Fazzolari/Fzotic because: So. Many. Fascinating. Perfumers!
I have some other samples from Fzotic I could pass along to you, if you are interested.
I would be interested – hopefully I can send you something, too. kclberry and an at, at netty scape dot net.
I am not wearing any perfume because i had a massage appointment today at the Guerlain Spa, they used an amazing smelling body oil ( tiare flower) all over and I can still smell it after several hours. Unfortunately they said it’s not for sale. If you know body oils with jasmine, tiare, gardenia scent, please let me know.
https://nz.purefiji.com/pages/about-us
This oil is made in Fiji and has several different infusion scents which are all lovely.
https://nz.purefiji.com/collections/infusions
Frangipani, morninga and noni are good
There’s a USA a online store, forgot to say
Thank you.
Sounds lovely!
Guerlain Iris Torréfié for the CP and just because it’s beautiful. Just a spritz from a wonderful friend’s decant. Doesn’t someone want to split this at our upcoming splitmeet? It’s amaaaaaaaazing.
What springpansy says! I love it so, and I did a split and then got my FB!
Nice sunny weather again today, but rain is (hopefully) on the way for tomorrow. It’s still very much needed.
SOTD = Cuir de Lancome with a dab of Dame Narcissus soliflore oil. Daffodils are spring heralds to me. 🌼🌷🌼
Daffodils (and pansies :D) are my favorite spring flowers. And there are so many types!
When I lived out West, daffodils and crocuses were such a welcome sight after a typical Winter!
Things are much more temperate in NJ, especially the last few years.
Flower twins
Hiya twin!
Hope you get the rain tomorrow!
Would be nice. Just rain; no lightning or crazy stuff, please.
We shall see!
We’re both wishing for the same rain!
Yep yep!
That sounds like a very nice combo, Jalapeno!
Thanks! The Narcissus was a lovely accent to the CdL, which was the main player.
I usually don’t like to layer perfumes for fear of creating a stinkfest. But this worked out.
I am wearing Galatea by Strange Invisible Perfumes, with notes of galbanum, tuberose, neroli, benzoin and ambrette seed. I once wore it on April 21 after looking for something with green notes and it stuck with me as the ultimate spring scent. It is sheer force green, like a plant pushing thorough layers of soil to emerge triumphant into the spring air. If you don’t like the in-your-face greenness of galbanum or the assertive floralcy of tuberose, this is not a scent for you, but I happen to like both, even at nuclear strength. Not that this perfume is actually that strong, after the fierce opening blast: it dries to lovely green and white floral skin scent. It has been sadly discontinued but I still have plenty of juice left in my EdP bottle for next few springs to come.
Photo of the old style gold font SIP EdP bottle: https://instagram.com/p/CrUDC2qOe6d/
You have the most unusual perfumes!
This perfume sounds amazing!
Also want to say that the brushed bronze (?) and the shape of the bottle looks like my Herve Gambs bottle except HG is all metal although I probably have to flick it to make sure!
I checked – it’s glass and covered in brass metal (bronze-like) sheen.
How is it Friday already!? I think this is my first post of the week, although I’ve been CP complaint most days with various samples of Les Parfums de Rosine. Today’s SOTD is Fragonard Narcisse which is a citrusy, tame narcissus with a fluffy white musk. Very easy to wear. At this point, most of the actual daffodils seem to be past their bloom where I live but they had a good run this year.
Drinking vanilla bourbon tea today and was planning to convert that into a mint julep after work, but Mr. Vee got home early from a trip to Vermont bearing cans of Heady Topper, so tonight’s happy hour plans have changed.
Your Happy Hour plans have become Hoppy Hour ones! 🍻
Sorry, but I couldn’t resist the pun.
😂🍻
Ahaha – perfect!
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and all the redbud trees in my neighborhood are in full pink splendor!
For today’s cp, I’ve chosen a bright spring floral of sheer rose, traditional lavender and sensuous violet that celebrates the city I love, Tru Blooms Chicago. Its ingredients all come from the streets, public spaces, neighborhood gardens and urban farms of this community. Tru Blooms says the sparkling watery fruit accords are redolent of the shores of Lake Michigan, and its blonde woods and musk speak to the city’s vibrant nightlife and blues heritage. I can really smell the lavender and violet in this, and I ❤️ it!
I’ve had a really nice week full of positive experiences, the highlight of which was a Volunteer Appreciation night sponsored by our city for its volunteers (I serve on a city commission and am a library volunteer.) A very fun night at a local restaurant and an opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals from my community – and how nice to be appreciated! Looking forward to another fun event on Sunday: a friend of mine has a friend who’s a master at metal-detecting and they are coming over to see if there are any buried treasures to be found in our yard. We live in one of the oldest houses in the part of town that was at the turn of the 20th century an art colony. We neighbor what was once a historic property, a silversmith and jeweler, whose works can be found in the Art Institute. So I’m hoping, just maybe, a stray silver spoon or bit of jewelry just may have found its way here many years ago . . please, please 🤞
Wishing all a wonderful weekend ahead. 🌷
Please report back on the metal hunt and buried treasure. Good luck!
It would be rather awesome if the treasure hunter did find something!
I picked Carven L’Eau de Toilette for the cp. It makes me think of spring. I really love it.
It’s been a long day.
Glad that you picked a perfume you loved today. Hope it made your day a little better.
Perfume makes many a day better. I was just so busy at work and then had to run errands. I didn’t eat until I came home and by then I had a bad headache. I am starting to wind down and feeling a bit better now.
Oh no! I always keep granola and fig bars just in case in my purse, I get headaches too when I don’t eat.
Glad you ❤️ your perfume!
I really do. It’s very watery and it has the feel of morning dew.
Ooh, I just ordered a sample of this one and the Le Parfum, can’t wait to try it now!
I’m in White Linen today. It’s perfect for the mild spring weather we’re having today. Also wearing a linen blend blouse with a tiny floral pattern and linen pinstripe pants.
We had a horrible lightning storm last night. Many in the complex lost power and some lost their A/C too. I was lucky – my modem was fried, but A T T was out fixing everybody’s early this morning. I still have some outlets and light fixtures that don’t work, but that will wait until Monday.
See below.
Do you have to get a new modem?
Something must have happened in these here parts too as I was surprised to see the outside light and the other bedroom’s light were both on; their both on a FEIT electric timer and I should know to check especially when I’m on vacation next month. And the clock radio was flashing whatever time it was + 12:00AM and my microwave time is also flashing.
I’m sure the modem was kaput. It wouldn’t reset or respond at all. Also, the outlet it’s plugged into is dead, as is the outlet directly on the other side of that wall in my living room. A breaker was blown, but for some reason the replacement breaker didn’t flip properly either.
I hope you didn’t lose any hardware, with whatever happened. You have technologically outpaced me with the term “FEIT”, I’m afraid! Maybe you just lost power momentarily a couple of times and it reset your clocks.
It’s a brand name of lighting products that work with a smart phone. I did not have to re-wire at all. So far I just have the bulbs which I’ve placed by my front door and another one in the bedroom. I should reintroduce the one in the kitchen but I’ll do that before I go away. Costco sells them and as with anything, they sometimes go on sale.
Thanks for this info! I want to visit my daughter in Cali later this year, and would love to set those up. 🤗
Ooooooooof. Sorry to hear that your modem got zapped by lightning. Hopefully those outlets will be an easy and inexpensive fix.
I’m in an apartment now, so it’s covered. 👍🏻
Lightening is so scary! I hope you get all of your electricity back on Monday.
Your outfit sounds super cute! I love pinstripes.
Thank you, lillyjo! It was a bit of a risk in my little brain to pair a stripe with a floral, but it seems to work.
Lightning is scary for me. I’m always in the fetal position, hoping my name’s on the wake-up list. 😳
I hope you get some time to yourself this weekend to rest and refuel, friend!
SOTD yesterday (and earlier this week) was 4160 Tuesdays’ Both Sides of Clouds”, which perfectly captures the season of spring and the season’s variable weather. One of the rare perfumes that has caused a total stranger to compliment me!
Hey there, good to see you!
You too! And I’m scared of lightning too. We had some very loud thunder last night but I think it was at some distance because I didn’t see lightning.
