It’s Tuesday and the World Heritage Day / International Day for Monuments and Sites. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm doing lily of the valley, in Parfums DelRae Début, from my now less-than-perfect bottle. It is still quite wearable. It's rather chilly this morning and I'm drinking a cup of Numi Chai.
Reminder: on 4/21, wear a spring floral, or any fragrance that makes you think of spring.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2023, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Tiffany Audubon teapot ("Featuring flora and fauna motifs first introduced on 19th-century Tiffany & Co. hollowware, the Tiffany Audubon collection captures the beauty of the natural world. Delicate illustrations of birds, butterflies and flowers teem with life; and a hand-painted gold rim and handle add a refined finish to this porcelain teapot") is $750.
I’m wearing Demeter Flower Show.
I don’t know that one but loved Greenhouse so I should try it.
I just looked up Flower Show and it is inspired by The Philadelphia Flower Show. Love that flower show and I used to go every year. The smell in the air as you walk into the flower show is indescribable. I think I have to get it now!
I’m still enamored with my newest purchase, Osmanthe Yunnan. I imagine I’ll get through this bottle in record time.
Yep, great stuff!
…and I didn’t pay full retail! Lol! Should’ve doubled up when I had the chance to!
Can’t argue with that!
Omg that teapot! I’d be afraid of even touching it for fear of breaking it, and at that price!😰
I started my day with no lotion, deodorant or perfume for a lonnnnngggg overdue mammogram. I was overdue before the pandemic, and then got even more overdue. I really have no excuse now, because it’s offered in the same building I work in. Couldn’t be any more convenient than that. Snagged the first appointment of the day.
Now I’m in Eau des Merveilles. Just a few sprays left!
Scent siblings – wearing Elixer des Merveilles on one wrist and Ambre des Merveilles on the other. It’s not even pretending to be spring here this week, and will continue be under 10C.
Congratulations on the procrastination-busting! Oh, sorry. Medical tests are are my To Do list, although this past year I’ve been working on the financial stuff first.
You smell wonderful! I love Elixer des Mervielles. It was a resale shop find, too.
I’m in the same mammogram situation, maybe you’ll inspire me to make an appointment.
Me too!
Peeps! Get out there and get those tests done! I had a “change” seen on my overdue mammogram but thankfully the follow up tests showed no issues. In our town, it can take a month to get in for an appointment, so better book ’em now!
Hope it went well!
And agree totally on the teapot.
Well done for the medical test, it’s uncomfortable but not painful, I find.
Good for you, getting the overdue mammogram taken care of! Hope that your results are boring.
It’s cooler this morning. I am sipping Dirty Chai from August uncommon. Not as good as my FIL, but hitting the spot. The August one has more of a chai coffee flavor. yum
Can we talk about how new shops opening in my hood are having an effect on my waist line. Venchi chocolates opened next to Angelina’s. I couldn’t resist yesterday and came out with handfuls of goodies. I shared with the kids of course, but most went into my mouth when I was finished at NYPL.
I am enjoying some Sisley Paris samples from friend passed along. Trying not to fall in love with the skincare since it’s so expensive.
SOTD is Bond no 9 Tribeca – this house doesn’t get mentioned that much-but I shouldn’t let it collect dust.
Angelina is a danger to my wallet and waistline, and now a new chocolate shop? Danger!
They are right next door to one another! How can they do this to me HAHA
And right off the 6 line! The nerve!!!
How dare!! HAHA. And I suppose Lady M round the corner should be coming out with their spring flavors soon, if not already.
yes.
I am thinking about sweets.
Today I smell very sweet.
Doomed I tell ya!
Yum –your shops sound dangerously wonderful.
Now reading:
Papyrus – invention of books in the ancient world
The Dry by Jane Harper (another author mentioned by Kanuka)
I liked Papyrus-The only thing that really bothered me is the authors insertion of her own opinions and thoughts on issues and its more of her “memoir” inserted into many chapters that have to do with her journey.
I’ve just started it.
ok..well..there are no spoilers 🙂
Let me know what you think
Spring allergies are in full force! I am sniffling, sneezing and my eyes are watery.
Stray violets are popping up in a nearby park. They’re too urban to consume, but I enjoy seeing the little purple bursts among the dandelions.
I’m in Les Indemodables Musc des Sables today. Perhaps I shall do a week of violets after today.
My son is suffering too. So sorry. I know the pollen count by when he switches from Nettle/Quercetin to Allegra & nasal sprays.
Thank you for the sympathy <3 High pollen count how the rest of the week! All the best to your son too.
I’m suffering along with you, pfsh. I think it gets onto my lungs, too. Been coughing like crazy, and OTC stuff only helps so much. Well, I hope the season is short this year!
How do you like the Les Indemodables line? I bought a discovery set, and while I enjoyed them all and thought the quality was excellent, there weren’t any that said, “you must have me!” Maybe you’ve had better luck?
Hang in there friend! Same here, meds only do so much and I will not stop being congested. Hope your air filters are helping some ;___;
LI was a mixed bag for me! Most are interesting, some I found unpleasant (Cuir de Chine, and I wanted to like it so much). The two I loved were Vanille Havane and Musc des Sables.
I also enjoyed Rose de Jamal (a rare rose I like) and the colognes (Escale in Haiti and Indonesie) but not FB buys, though I won’t refuse a free bottle if one appears. The rest were interesting but not something I would wear.
Haha, I wouldn’t give back a free bottle, either!
I had a few epic sneezes yesterday. But not getting clobbered by the pollen yet. I figure it’s only a matter of time.
Sorry that you are feeling so miserable!
Ahhh hang in there friend, hope that the allergies don’t hit you as hard. Crank that air purifier up fam!
That is a very pretty teapot! My spring-y choice for today is Bucoliques de Provence. If it ever stops raining, I plan to take my wrists out to the back yard, hold them near the lavender plants, and urge them to wake up. I’m worried that they might have reached the point of no return, as it were, and the swath might need to be replanted.
Oh, hope that will revive them! I have never had good luck with lavender.
Dreary, overcast, borderline-rainy day, but I think you can’t ever go wrong in Fendi Theorema, olfactory comfort food. I have a few mL left and I’ll be sorry when it’s gone, but everything goes sooner or later: impermanent things are here to teach us a lesson.
Yes, Theorema is olfactory comfort food and yes, everything goes sooner or later, but I’ll be sad when mine is gone. I have trouble with that impermanence lesson.
Wearing Hermes Vetiver Tonka.
It was chilly early this morning feeling in the 40’s. Cloudy day with cool temperatures. I am ok with it. I am sleepy and exhausted today. On my third cup of coffee and hoping to feel more awake soon for a long work meeting after lunch.
Happy Tuesday! ☕️
Happy Tuesday! Hope the coffee did the trick.
Thank you, Robin! I survived the day!
Hope you will be kept alert with all the coffee.
Coffee helped a lot today. I feel much better now!
Chilly here today too! And windy, to boot.
A very unpleasant day here, cold and windy. It didn’t help with my lack of energy today. I am glad I am already warming up at home because the office is a freezing place.
Good morning, all! Today I’m wearing Trudon Aphelie. Such a pretty, green rose for spring, and one of my new faves.
Pretty teapot you found there, Robin! My tea today, Jasmine Pearl Origin Assam, was brewed in a mug. Very pedestrian, but I love it. Perfect for the lazy tea-drinker: pot and cup in one. 😉
https://www.forlifedesignusa.com/collections/brew-in-mugs/products/curve-tall-tea-mug-with-infuser-lid-15-oz
(no affiliation)
You smell lovely! really enjoy the ivy note in Aphelie and it’s got me thinking about other ivy-centric perfumes like Goutal Eau de Camille and Diptyque Eau de Lierre
I tried Eau de Lierre, but it went right to “Eau de Peapod” on me.
Morning! I don’t know Aphelie, but love the mug you are using.
I highly recommend one! Worth the investment. 😉
I brew almost all my tea in a mug these days, other than my nightly ginger tea which goes in a pot because I drink so much 🙂
Ginger tea sounds delicious. When I feel a cold coming on, I make my own ginger “tea”; a few cubes of fresh ginger and slices of lemon, in boiling water for 5 minutes, pour in a cup (lemon and ginger included) and sweetened with a bit of honey or agave. I don’t know if it works as a cold remedy but I do enjoy it every time!
I’m sure your tea is more delicious than mine (see below).
Robin, do you make an infusion with fresh ginger, or have you found a ginger tea you like?
I don’t do an infusion because it’s more delicious but more work and I am lazy, and I do drink it every night. I use Upton’s organic ginger root, 3 teaspoons for my 17 oz pot, and I brew 9 minutes. If my husband wants some too, I go to the 32 oz pot.
Now that’s a nice pot o’ tea! Thanks for the directions. 🤗
Very convenient that mug, enjoy your tea.
Thanks!
That mug might work as a Christmas gift idea for a couple of people I know!
Perfect! My work here is done. 😄
I am wearing Chanel 1932 edt. This is such a beautiful scent but unfortunately doesn’t last on me or I don’t smell it. My tea is MF white tea with rose petals, one of my favourites from this line.
Have an amazing week.
Your tea sounds lovely!
After yesterday’s Coco, I am in no 5 edp.
You’re having a class-act week so far with the smellies!
NEZ 1+1 Ambre à Levres today and taking CP points for a fragrance that feels springy to me. I think this fragrance is so underrated.
Yoga, errands and then making a quiche for dinner. Have a good day, all!
You smell wonderful. I wore it again a couple weeks ago when I re-read Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis. That book just haunts me. I’ve not read the sequel because I think I love the child’s-eye viewpoint in Persepolis so much. I think you have your enabler badge!? 😀
And allo was my enabler, so maybe she gets a bigger badge and I get a smaller one? Kind of like multi-level marketing? 😉
Thanks for the book rec, also!
I’ve been eyeing Ambre à Levres! How does it smell to you?
It’s a classy (and yet cozy) cosmetic/lipstick fragrance. For a much more detailed and articulate review, read BostonScentGuy’s review here: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/NEZ/1-1-Ambre-a-Levres-68178.html
It sounds way up my alley, gonna pick a bottle up from Nez! Thanks 🙂
Yay!
In SL La Vierge de Fer for a Seattle spring – floral with backbone.
I’m loving the Swapmeet and interacting with so many wonderful NSTers. If you are interested in swapping with me, I have more than the 15 item list so please reach out, feel free to ignore my wishlist and let’s gather the swaps while we may!🌹💃🌹
The Swapmeet has been very fun this time for me, too! And you are smelling wonderful in an excellent CP choice!
Thank you!
The teapot is just beautious! It has nothing to do with my life, where my standard teapot is a used to be copper teakettle, and my standard teacup is a 20 oz. heavy hand-thrown mug, which keeps the tea warm longer… I am wearing Bivacious today, to encourage the violets in my lawn to come up, inspire of the random weather we are having this spring. Hope everyone is having the sort of day when the awareness of love pervades your spaces and your hearts!
Vivacious! I swear my spell check changes things after I have proofread my post!
My spellcheck does the same thing sometimes, too. 🤬
Cuir became cuirass for me today … darn spellcheck
What a lovely teapot but as others have said, I’d be afraid to touch it at that price!
Wearing a touch of Le Temps d’Un Fete to take mom to the dentist. She uses a walker so we need the handicapped ramp, it’s very steep and there’s no rail, which I am sure is against the building code. Not my favorite way to spend an afternoon.
That ramp you are describing is very much NOT to building code!! Rails are a must-have.
Hope that everything goes smoothly despite the sketchy ramp.
SOTD: Diyptique Eau de Lavande, which is definitely a spring-like scent for me.
Dealing with all kinds of construction outside my apt once again. It never ends.
Would be interested in learning what home fragrance scents and products work for others. I don’t want a cinnamon, baked goods scent, nor laundry detergent or tropical island type of scents. Something natural but also lasting. Thanks for any recs!
I like Moroccan Amber by Nest candle
I like herbally and floral scents for a home fragrance, and I have used both cleaning products and candles to achieve this.
1) I am a member of Beauty Pie and I really like their candles- though they have really gone up in price. My fave candles from there: Bergamot and Basil, Freesia, Patchouli and Moss and Reves D’eze. They are airy and light but still beautifully scented. After cleaning I like to light one just to give the house a bit of a scented hug, or even just lighting one for ambience.
2) My favorite cleaning products are Mrs Meyer- really cost effective and with great, non laundry scents like Mint, Geranium and Clementine. I just buy the big bottle and dilute as needed, then clean the whole house with it! The whole place smells lovely- especially if I follow with a candle!
I will second Mrs Meyer. I loved their Basil range; candles, hand wash, etc.
Meyer fan too!
I use their products in the kitchen and their candles are excellent quality.
Will check out Beauty Pie!
I’ve been using papier d’armenie benjoin strips for years.I love the whole ritual of folding the little concertinas and then setting it alight.Slow burn and really does deoderise but leave a soft and smoky vanilla waft behind.I also enjoy their candles.
I’m a big fan of these, too. And their candle is the best! Which reminds me, I must replace the one I recently used up….
Also need a replacement, especially for the upcoming winter nights!
Yes!
Thanks for this. I see BeautyHabit has the candle and I’ve been itching to place an order…
Go for it!
Folding and burning those little papers is the best!
These sound really nice. May have to try them.
Would not have thought of this. Thank you! I’ll definitely consider.
Brooklyn Candle Studio has many natural and subtle candle scents, at reasonable prices too: https://brooklyncandlestudio.com/
I like Diptyque candles too but they are $$.
These are very reasonably priced as well. Is there a particular scent you like best pfsh?
These are really lovely candles.
I’ve purchased the pine/winter one and enjoy it. Not as strong a scent as I’d like but not bad.
I’ve been happy with a couple I’ve tried from Anthropologie. The espresso scent is great in the kitchen.
I’ve been burning scented candles lately. The best ones I have are from a local artisan. One is pine scented, and was a holiday limited edition. The other is “Watermelon Lemonade” and is being saved for summer.
Still raining. The sun came out yesterday and by the time I threw on my shoes on and grabbed the leash, clouds had scudded back, blocking that glorious orb once again and dumping more rain. Seriously, I don’t know where it all goes.
But, because we were stuck inside I made good use of the time by doing a thorough cleaning, top to bottom, including the fridge. Then found myself reorganizing shelves and closets to find a more functional use of space, took a couple of naps, rubbed a hairy belly, and did a bit of travel day dreaming. Found a book in the laundry by Diane Ackerman who is one of my favorites, so started reading that. Did a little on-line shopping and found the perfect summer weight Kantha quilt for my bed. I also had a watercolor I’ve been trundling around for over five years re-matted and re-framed and can’t wait to pick it up. It’s one of the few things I kept when I started traveling. Lots of feels associated with it! 😍
Still wearing MVP because it’s fabulous. I’m boring and stuck in an MVP rut. There’s nothing resembling spring out my window since it’s cold (low 40’s), windy, and of course, rainy. Hope most of you are getting better weather. Bring on the Vitamin D please!!
Hi Deva! Your day sounded like my day- rainy and since stuck inside, a great time to do a deep clean and have a nap!
It’s good to feel you’ve accomplished something, for sure! 👍🏼
Deva have you ever considered going international with your travels?Although your American adventures all already epic!🤗🤗✌🏻
Yes and no. 1) Number one issue would be doggo. Could not do it with her and won’t leave her behind. 2) The hoops I have to jump through even in the US are astounding, especially since I’m with more than one agency. Not sure I have the patience to do even MORE hoop jumping for international travel. 3) I wouldn’t be able to take my rolling home, or if I were able to, the cost of shipping Biggie Smols overseas is frightening! 4) My goal is to stop nursing after this year. The climate here for nursing is particularly bad right now, for a variety of reasons I won’t go into and because no one really cares. So I’m taking off this upcoming fall and winter and doing a bit of navel gazing to see what my next step is. 5) Then, there the whole medical coverage issue,..🤷🏻♀️
I hear you.It would be quite the adventure just to get on a plane/boat/train.Of course T-rex is non-negotiable!!
🌹🤗😉
Hope the watercolor reframing will be beautiful.
Thank you! I can’t wait to see the finished piece and hang it up on a wall. Five years is a long time bouncing around in the garage of a van.
Hope that you get a break from all that wet SOON!
Hi All!
SOTD : BBW Poppy. There was a big sale this weekend, which coincided with my birthday, so I got Poppy mist, bodywash and lotion. It’s charming, and a great way to wake up in the morning. It will layer beautifully with Delina, I think.
Spent the birthday weekend doing a really deep clean of the house- down to the gunk that accumulates at the bottom of the sliding patio doors and windows. YUCK! Also- acid toilet bowl cleaner is a GODSEND. Why didn’t I know about this earlier? It cleans the mineral stains that run down the bowl, leaving it sparkling. Huzzah!
Brunch with friends at the house- it’s tax day after all- where we had bellinis, london fog tea, avocado toast with smoked salmon and a fried egg, 90s r&b music and way too much laughter.
Happy Belated Birthday, Ede97005! 🎂
*hugs*
Thank you!
Hope the Birthday was fabulous!🌹🌹🌹
It was! It was wonderful and I feel deeply fortunate and content and like a proper grown up.
Happy birthday wishes, you were entitled to treating yourself, enjoy the BBW products.
Thank you so much!
Poppy is very fresh, with a tart fruity fresh floral scent. Airy. Great way to freshen up after a morning exercise session!
Belated Happy Birthday to you! Your brunch party sounds fab! 🎉
Thank you! It was!
Happy Birthday! Sounds like a great time was had by all!
Thank you! It was a great vibe!
Happy happy birthday, Ede97005!! Glad you’re enjoying your birthday goodies.
Thank you! It’s fun!
Happy birthday! I love Poppy too.
It’s so refreshing! I think it layers well!
Happy Birthday!
Glad to see you posting!
Belated Birthday wishes! Sounds like you had a great time.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday! Must try Poppy.
Happy Teapot Tuesday!
Todays’ teapot is really pretty!
SOTD!
Baghari.Do I smell like the color of New England Fall leaves?Yes I do.
Kris;I’ve not even touched Spare yet!🙈🙈
I was part of a not-so-successful intervention at work today,to try and resolve some serious issues between two colleagues.I think sometimes we leave things unsaid/unresolved for far too long, and then there really is no resolution or amicable result. It’s gonna be interesting to see what unfolds.
Love-life:Pizza date on Saturday.Interesting fact, this boy is NOT South African!Haha! We’re going international now baby!Lol!
May I never lose my sense of self, nor my sense of humor.
XO’s🌹✌🏻🤗
Very glad you’ve got a date this weekend.
*Extremely nervous!!🙈🙈😱😱
The way I look at it, the worst that can happen is you end up with another funny story. Chin up!
Have fun! And you smell great, I haven’t worn Baghari in too long.
Thank you!Let me know when you do wear Baghari again! It’s better suited to cooler weather,I think!Maybe I should pull out the Fracas tomorrow…🙈😉
“May I never lose my sense of self, nor my sense of humor.” This!!!
Have a great time on your date!
Thank you!I hope to report good news on Sunday!😉🌹🤗
Have a great time on Saturday! What perfume are you planning to wear?
Thank you M!
I have not actually thought about it,but I’m leaning towards one of Deva’s favorites…😉🤗🌹
Hope the pizza date goes well! Yeah, sometimes I feel like I work in a grade school with all the nonsense that goes on between co-workers. Another perk of travel nursing is that I don’t have to get involved in all the BS. But my last contract! Boy howdy, there was some serious antipathy between a couple of nurses. It was interesting to watch, from a psychological standpoint, as each one tries to recruit other employees to their side…😬Hope it all settles down without bloodshed!
I will let you know when I read Spare so you can get a summary ańd not have to read the entire thing😂
Good luck on the date.
Loved your comment “May I never lose my sense of self, nor my sense of humor.” Very wise words, those are.
Good luck with the pizza date!
Have a great time on your international date this Saturday!
You’re smelling wonderful, I’ve not worn my Baghari in many months, I should pull it out before it gets too warm.
Aahhh!! I’m so excited for you!
I hope it goes great! Either way keep that sense of humor!
We’re all watching from the sidelines! Good luck!
Like many I find it’s a beautiful teapot if rather spendy.
Mandarins and yogurt smoothie, I have no clue what to have for dinner afterwards.
I used Charles Jourdan Votre, a beautiful, old school chypre which reminds me of something else, not sure what. Tonight I’m in Natori which is warm and fruity, I recently got a backup bottle at a great price but I have to be mindful I’m on a low buy, backup bottles are my weakness.
Aurora, this whole time I thought your daily smoothies WERE your dinner! And I keep thinking to myself, wow I could never just have a smoothie for dinner. 😆
I thought the same thing!
😀 I wish I could make it my whole dinner but I usually have something else afterwards.
I figured that the smoothie was lunch!
😀 I have it usually before dinner but sometimes as dessert.
😀They are my appetizer, I usually have a one course dinner, something simple, I’m a vegetarian.
SotD Angel Muse edt. New love for me, and one I was so happy I got to share at the Swapmeet!
Do you prefer it over the edp?
Rather pleased to see that last night’s clouds skedaddled away, and today was bright and sunny after all. But on the cool side. The cats have been spending time on their kitty hot pad instead of the windowsill.
Dropped off some formal dresses at a collection point for a local organization that is doing a prom dress give away for teens who can’t afford them. It makes me happy to think that someone will have a wonderful time wearing them.
SOTD = back in Cuir de Lancome.
That’s nice Jalapeno. I’ve thought about donating my old prom dresses but can’t let go just yet. Maybe next spring.
Thanks. I was ready to let go of today’s bunch. No need for you to rush things.
Mmmm good re: Cuirass de Lancôme! And hooray on donating the dresses.
🤣🤣🤣! “Cuirass de Lancome”!
Oh my God … “spellcheck” did it again with the cuirass! At least it’s a real word.
Maybe it should be called “spellwreck”!
My SOTD is Daphne by CdG. It’s beautiful! I did a very very light spray because I had some events today: my art class and then a haircut and professional lunch.
Unfortunately my painter seems to be accident-prone… Three accidents in three weeks of work. I might be suspicious but he seems so honest and a bit harried by it all. However, the kitchen is ALMOST done.
Also unfortunately I have a car problem…. I drove it today despite my worries over it and at least it didn’t stop working…. although a little piece of something fell off. ;-(. It’s very ancient and I’m hoping this is not the time it kicks the bucket and goes to auto heaven.
On Thursday I’ll be going to Philadelphia for a conference–am looking forward to seeing friends, dining out, and seeing some good art!
Have fun at the conference!
I hope your car hangs in there awhile longer!
I will wave when your plane flies into PHL! The final approach goes over my neighborhood about half the time. All depends on how the wind is blowing…
Have fun in Philly!
Have a great trip, and hope that car will grow some new parts while you’re gone 😉
Wearing some vintage Diorissimo today. I’m still getting lovely wafts, even 6 hours later.
Like others, temperatures here are way below seasonal; next weekend looks like it should finally get back to normal. In the meantime, I bought some flower seeds for my garden pots including bachelor buttons, snapdragons, cosmos, stocks and milkweed. The milkweed is a new one for me, and is supposed to draw Monarch butterflies. The perennial garden is coming along; the daylilies are emerging and the violets are blooming. This morning I noticed a delightful mom and dad quail couple scoping out the large cedar tree beside the livingroom window; most likely to set up a nest. It’s also in perfect view of the rambling strawberries. Should be a good spot for them.
Vintage Diorissimo is so beautiful.
Helpful butterfly hint: Monarch butterflies will also lay their eggs on parsley.
Thank you, Jalapeno, isn’t Diorissimo lovely?
And interesting tip about the parsley! Thank you!
Yes, it is.
I discovered the parsley thing thru experience. I was shocked when I saw a couple of Monarch caterpillars happily munching away in my herb garden a few years ago.
There was a quail family living in the bushes of the Airbnb we stayed at in Duncan 2 years ago, it was so cute watching them!
They sure are entertaining to watch! Very good parents with all the babies to look after!
SOTD = 4160 Tuesdays Midnight in the Palace Garden
Very nice and I claim points for the CP! I don’t know if they’re spring flowers but there’s neroli and jasmine and frangipani.
I’ll be finalizing my tax returns and will be back later to read comments. Wish me luck as I am not filing for extensions!
I hope the tax returns go smoothly!!
I was able to eFile Federal and NY State. I was too cheap to pay the $20 for NJ.
Best of luck!!
Thank you, springpansy! Luck was on my side today!
Good luck with the taxes!
Thank you. I decided not to review them anymore and let TurboTax do its job!
Good luck!
Your perfume sounds good!
Thanks, lillyjo! I forgot to mention that I got a compliment this morning from a random stranger as I was going up the escalator.
You smell great! I need to do my FBAR asap.
Thank you. Oh my! Even the acronym sounds nasty!
Wearing Diptyque Kyoto today, an earthy rose and vetiver. It hits the spot for spring.
I took my son out to brunch today. He’s off school for spring break, and there’s this trendy brunch place I thought he might enjoy but I never want to endure the long wait times during the weekend. So a leisurely weekday visit was perfect!
Rose and vetiver are such a great combo for perfume.
Mom and Son brunch sounds pretty special.
I love going to trendy places at off times to beat the crowds. Good call.
Nice brunch for mom and child – sounds nice!
I picked up my car after work.
The cost was jaw dropping but at least I can brake now. It looks like I will be skipping the Sephora sale this go around.
My sotd is Cafe Tuberosa. I am doing fall perfume mostly this week. We have a freeze advisory tonight!
You smell great! My sympathies for the car. I’m still reeling from the messy paint job that cost me $$$$ so I feel you.
I will probably be skipping the Sephora Sale, too. We spent $$$$$$$ at Costco yesterday, and almost all of it was food.
Glad to hear that your car’s brakes are working now!
I gave away 4 cans of pandemic spam and will be bringing in 3 more on Friday! Woohoo! This means I will have one left!
I chuckled quietly to myself when I saw the Spam at Costco. Immediately thought of your “pandemic Spam”.
I’m skipping it, too. 😕
Wow! That is scary with the brakes!
Very cold and windy here, after several gorgeous sunny days. Another round of Botrytis for me as winter has returned.
We are getting the cold tomorrow. I don’t mind one bit!
I recently got a vintage mini of Xanadu Spirits of Cologne by Faberge so that was my SOTD. A blast of murdered aldehydes at first, then settling into a sophisticated dry floral citrus chypre, near as I can tell. I have no idea what it’s *supposed* to smell like, it’s 50 years old. But the notes are patchouli, bergamot, lavender, orange blossom.
Enjoying the teapot and everyone’s SOTD. I am commando. Not feeling that well. I am fairly sure I have cat scratch disease and have just gotten on antibiotics today.
Oh no, so sorry Sapphire! Hope the antibiotics work quickly.
