It’s Friday, plus National Pastry Day and International Anti-Corruption Day. Birthdays: Joseph Pilates, Redd Foxx, Judi Dench. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance with a leather or suede note, if you have one. (This is a repeat from 2016.)
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm doing leather-lite, in Hermès Cuir d'Ange.
Reminder: 12/16 is Jane Austen's birthday. Name a favorite Jane Austen novel (or movie, or television series) and wear a fragrance to match, or, wear a fragrance to register your general lack of interest in Austenmania.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Shell Chair (Sometimes called the “smiling chair,” Hans Wegner’s Shell Chair (1963) achieves a floating lightness with its wing-like seat and arching curved legs. It stands on only three legs, but Shell has absolute stability, owing to Wegner’s expertise in cabinetmaking and architecture. His belief that a chair “should be beautiful from all sides and angles” is especially evident here, a marvel of grace and beauty") in Walnut and Cowhide is $5,370 at Design Within Reach.
I’m in dying gasps of SL Cuir Mauresque. Hope everyone has a fab (and safe!) weekend. 🎄
I never smelled this, but i hope you have a nice weekend too
Yum on the perfume and hope you do too.
I’ve done Pilates for 10 years! I absolutely love it. I have a class tomorrow morning to look forward to.
I’m wearing Sandlesun and sipping a homemade hot Matcha Latte.
Congratulations on your milestone!
I took my first ever Pilates class last week, and I’m clearly not ready for it yet; I got dizzy. I think I’ll try to learn more about it at home using beginner video classes and then try again!
I considered Cuir d’Ange but I couldn’t resist 2001’s Michael Kors Michael for Men. Suede is there but really only a bit player, or rather part of an enormous cast of characters that includes lots of patchouli and tobacco, plus anise, dried fruit, herbs and spices…. I think the perfumer’s brief was “Serge Lutens, only not so scary.” It is the smell of shoulders-back confidence, one of those scents that automatically makes you feel more self-assured when you wear it.
Michael for Men sounds perfect for cold weather, and like something that is unisex in its appeal. I bet you smell great!
VC&A Bois d’Iris, one of my favorites, failing the CP this week.
Not sure I have any leather forward scents, because they often also have tobacco of one sort or another, one of those hidden, “Why am I suddenly sneezing?” no-no’s for me in perfume. Can anyone recommend a friendly leather that doesn’t have tobaco in it?
Shifting to the wintery favorites, denser ambers and chypres and ouds, and resin heavy florals like Seville a L’Aube…
OH, and love that chair, by the way… you show us such interesting objects, Robin!
Me too! I have two chairs I bought from a consignment shop when we first moved back to CA–cowhide, from the 1940s. Less Jetson, more Stetson! (I am extremely proud of that rhyming description 🙂 )The shop owner said they came from a ranch house/mansion in Southern CA.
Ah, yes, that is it, they remind me of some hide covered stools we had at Lambing camp….I wonder where those are…maybe my brother has them out at the old farm house.
Thanks, others for the suggestions. I will seek to try these when I can…NST is such a great community!
Brilliant description! 👏
The apartment I live in is mid-century, built in 1965. Uno Prii, an Estonian-born Canadian architect designed it and over 250 buildings, many in Toronto. I refer to some of them as the “Jetson” buildings!
I love shell chairs, and would love to have one…but maybe not in cowhide.
Ditto that.
If you like florals, Cuir d’Ange and Violette Volynka both by Hermes have prominent leather with no tobacco!
Bottega Veneta is a beautiful floral leather without tobacco.
Second this!
Thirding! No tobacco at all to my nose. However, I don’t get any florals at all either.
I suggest Guerlain Cuir Beluga. I think I spanked spellcheck enough that it stopped changing it to end in “ass” – pun intended.
Lol!
Kelly Caleche is a very wearable, hint of leather.
Fragrantica lists leather as a base note in Clinique Wrappings but not tobacco.
Wrappings is not on Clinique’s website again this year, sad to say.
I very much recommend trying Parfum d’Empire Cuir Ottoman. No tobacco, and it’s super cozy and gorgeous.
I managed to do a whole week of leather, which I am kind of amazed by. Today is Cuir de Lancome, from a freebiemeet decant. The leather is there but not overwhelming. Nice.
Extra points then!
Twinning with Robin in Cuir d’Ange!
Reporting back from yesterdays Regime des Fleurs Leather Petals — no leather at all. It stayed a herbal, bitter green the whole way on my skin.
I tried a few other scents from the brand, nothing called out to me. They are all interesting, but unapproachable and uninviting to wear. I kind of regret this sample set purchase — I was seduced by the pretty bottles and photography.
—
Diptyque advent calendar day 8 was a small Noisetier candle. Light candied nuts, very subtle in the air but enjoyable.
I also sniffed Tam Dao EDP. I had forgotten how good it is! Contemplative, smooth and warm, like the inside of an old Buddhist temple back home.
Tam Dao is good, isn’t it? I hope you have a happy weekend.
It’s so lovely! Planning to wear it this weekend 🙂
At least you didn’t blind buy a full bottle of any Regimes des Fleurs.
That is true! The sample set came with $40 off coupon for a full bottle, which is sadly wasted on me.
Wearing Bottega Veneta for the CP. It’s a cold, rainy day here, on my day off, I had errands planned but I think I’ll do housework and watch old movies instead. One errand was to get the new pastry at my local bakery, it’s a tiramisu croissant, two of my favorite things that looks perfect for National Pastry Day. It will have to wait till next week.
So gorgeous.
You smell wonderful!
Hey, I have a scent twin today! w00t w00t!
Calaj’s The Last PH 85 for my leather today.
Another I have never heard of!
Triple-twinning this morning: with Deva, in Cuir Mauresque; with Kelly Red, as another ten-years-of-pilates devotee; and with PriscillaE, with a full week’s worth of leather. I added the tiniest of spritzes of Rose Anonyme under the Cuir Mauresque — it’s a favorite spicy layering combo, but also several of you mentioned rose/leather scents this week and I got a hankering.
All the points!
I’m wearing the only leather fragrance (so far) that I truly love: Cuir Cannage. So classy.
I found a forgotten sample of Jo Malone Peony and. Lush Suede that I wore yesterday. Something in it started to bother me a bit, but I was surprised by its long life for a JM cologne.
I’ve long wanted a travel spray of Hermes Vanille Galante, and now it’s suddenly back in the 4-pack options. But I’ve already played Santa to myself with a discounted bottle of Dusita Splendiris, so this idea seems especially decadent. I’ll have to think about this one.
I suggest offering a split since you can mix and match.
Seconding hajusuuri on the split. I also have a full bottle of Vanille Galante if you are interested in a decant swap! It’s such a fun little ylang and dry vanilla scent.
You smell elegantly divine — llloooovvvve Cuir Cannage.
It is so lovely! Thanks!
Curious if you got your discounted bottle of Splendiris at the Canadian website. I just received mine a few days ago from there.
Nope! Just Fragrancenet. I was shocked!
Oh, wow! Did not know it was there too. Well, we both have some now.
Thirding a split! 😃
It was a good idea, but the VG has disappeared again…alas.
I debated twinning Ringthing, but wore Coco instead from a bottle i got on *bay. I am not sure this is real vintage, maybe they diluted it with alcohol, but it smells like the Coco in the perfumery.
Today we had the first snowflakes, which looked nice, but i am no friend of the cold, and with the energy crisis in Germany, we dont dare to use the central heating too much, so only 19C in our apartment. Socks and cardigans are a must!
My spouse is leaving tomorrow to come over there for work, and he’s been warned to pack heavy sweaters because all the archives will be 18-19 degrees. But then, some of them were never really well heated and had no lights other than natural light, so I guess it won’t be that different. 🙂
Joining the CP in a spritz of SL Daim Blond. The soft leather note in it is nice and enjoyable for me. I am not a huge fan of leather as a note, even though I have several leather scents that I wear only if I am in the right mood for it.
Happy Friday!
oh I have forgotten about Daim Blond until you reminded me! I love soft, sued-y leathers and shall have to revisit it somehow.
A very nice scent and very easy to wear!
I have a sample of it; should have unearthed it for this week. Maybe tomorrow.
You smell lovely! I too have a tough time with a lot of leather notes, and yes, Daim Blond is a nice soft one.
Thank you, Tulipani!
I wish DB lasted longer on me. LOVE how it smells for the minutes I can….
So true, Portia! It doesn’t last more than an hour on my skin. I have to reapply several times if I really want to enjoy it.
Oh yes, spritz with gay abandon then.
Definitely not a leather scent bomb, but very lovely nonetheless.
Have a good weekend!
Very pleasant and the iris note is pretty.

Happy shopping! I’m wearing Violette Volynka.
You are baaaaaad……
“Hello, Pot? Kettle calling …”. 😂
Temptress
In Carner Barcelona Cuirs, nice for a coolish day. No rainstorm yet, so hope to get my errands done before it hits.
Such a good choice AnnieA.
Yoga then coffee with a little ginger turmeric milk, my favorite morning drink! We are going to get our tree later today and I will be wearing Mx. ❤️, which does list leather in its notes. I definitely prefer leather-lite as I find some leather fragrances bitter and unappealing.
Oh, coffee with ginger turmeric milk sounds delicious!
Hope you found the perfect tree.
In Arquiste Peau (feeling the pressure here!) as I forgot about the CP.
🙂
Happy Friday to all! I’m in Chanel Cuir de Russie for all of its leathery goodness.
A classic for good reason.
Agreed. Perfect pick.
I do love Cuir de Russie.
You smell exquisite. Has to be one of my all-time favorites.
SOTD = Rania J Ambre Loup
One of the best ambers out there. 🥰

I have failed the CP this week unless you count not wearing any perfumes with leather and/or suede a “win”. OK, it’s a win for me. 🤣
So, I was determined not to subscribe to Netflix but at $9.99 (plus tax), it’s not so bad. I haven’t triggered it yet because I know I will primarily binge-watch Lucifer and the series ended (although I may be wrong) so I don’t have to fret over when the next season will start. It’s an easy choice because it’s $9.99 versus $19.99 for Season One only on Amazon Prime. Also, I have many days off so it will be worth it. I think I just convinced myself. BTW, everything that I wrote here is exactly how my brain works and we had an admin who would look at me while I am doing this and smile as she knows my thought process – scary!
I’m curious if you found anything good to sniff in that Glasshouse sample box? Have a good weekend, with or without Netflix!
I have ADHD when it comes to samples. I will do marathon sniffing the last 2 weeks of December!
Not in the mood for leather, or not liking it this week?
Neither. I wanted to stay true to my Countdown / Advent Calendar and none of this week’s were a match to a leather perfume.
Ah. Are any of next week’s baubles a leather perfume match?
Happy Friday, fragrance peeps!
SOTD is Cuir de Chine, one of my favorites from the Les Indemodables discovery set.
I have a lot of work ahead of me this weekend. My water-damaged garage wall is finally dried out and repaired, after weeks and weeks of slow contractors. I have a lot to clean and move back, since the damage was all in this storage nook. The silver lining is that this spurred us to toss a lot of boxes and what-not that we had held onto after our move earlier this year. Looking forward to seeing that when I put everything back, we’ll have more space than before. Fingers crossed!
I hope it goes well. What a mammoth effort!
Oh, I feel you–sending lots of positive vibes. We, too, have a water-damaged garage wall that had lots of storage. Also damaged second floor bedroom wall. All dried out so dry wall and paint supposed to happen next week then we’ll have all the stuff to move back in. I would love to get rid of some of it. We’ll see if I can convince Mr. SP!
Wearing Rogue by Rhianna today, which does share DNA with Bottega Veneta. The BV is richer and more luxe but at the price you can get Rogue for it’s a steal with little resemblance to other celebrity scents.
I agree about Rogue, very nice! And the suede brings a nice softness to the patchouli note.
Just been watching the full moon set over the hills. The moon looks huge and the ridge line of the hills were just touched by the faintest red glow from the rising sun. So incredibly beautiful. After weeks of cold grey and strong winds, it’s finally calmed down. It’s been a rotten summer so far ( temperatures in the low teens) and everyone’s vegetable gardens are blown to pieces, flattened by the wind. Wearing Al Oudh for a touch of leather but will add Yard Next Door later as the gums in the neighbourhood are smelling good at the moment.
That sounds like such a beautiful scene; I wish I had it in a photograph or painting.
Shalimar Tonka today. 😍 Have been craving tonka and patchouli of late.
I ordered Mon Guerlain Intense and Molinard Patchouli blind and wore them both out earlier this week. I may have tried MG Intense when it first came out not sure…but I was reading reviews w/ the amped vanilla and licorice and wondered why I never bought it….an error of omission if you will. 😉 It’s beautiful…similar to the original but w/ added licorice, more vanilla and maybe amped patchouli to my nose. Molinard Patchouli also did not disappoint. Strong, herbaceous patchouli up front that gives way to smooth woods and vanilla in the dry down. The hooded jacket I have wearing around the house smells like a wonderful combination of both. 🥰
I am eyeing blind buying Reminiscence Patchouli next….quite cheap on the discount sites. Someone mentioned Reminiscence Tonka in the last week or so and, as far as I can tell, that appears to be discontinued or not readily available. 🙁 Please let me know if anyone has more info on the latter or where to buy.
Did you find your guerlain at a discount?
Yes, I got them both from fragrancebuy.ca during their Black Friday sale.
I used to see Rem Tonka at Beauty Encounter. But that was a while ago.
A quick Internet search on my end shows Rem Tonka at Amazon, of all places.
Yes, it’s on Amazon but for $330 from a private seller as far as I can tell.
Quick pop in for CP points in one of my favorites…Cuir de Lancôme.
The tree saga continues. We made it worse. It’s now leaning against the wall. A strong friend is coming over this afternoon to help my husband. I spent a half hour this morning perusing artificial tree sites.
I’ve now reached the point of appreciating the tragicomic absurdity.
Just consider it as quirky 🙂
When I was a child, we had real pine Christmas trees , but they were branches off a big tree, so had to be wedged into a corner and were always droopy.
We had a bit of a tree situation ourselves, we got a tree that looked ok but when we brought it home we realized there were some brunches missing, some brunches cut short , it looked imperfect and funny, we kept it anyways, i tried to camouflage with lights and ornaments!!
Strong measures needed! There is suspending the tree from a gigantic hook bolted into the ceiling! How could ANYTHING go wrong with that plan?
New tree stand, which somewhat helped. Wedges under the stand should keep it from tumbling. Sigh. We will decorate, but not with any prized ornaments.
I still smell good
You are channeling Charlie Brown with your tree woes. A Christmas classic — which may not be much comfort.
We will get our tree tomorrow or Sunday. Yes, putting on the on the lights is always fraught.
Bulgari Black for me today. I’ve done the full week of leather, and could do more if I raid the samples I gave my spouse (TF Ombré Leather, which I didn’t love).
Really looking forward to the weekend, but there’s so much to do. Trying to have part of our Christmas early before my spouse leaves tomorrow.
Good luck with the “to do” Xmas list!
I’m a pretty big fan of leather and I actively dislike the current version of Ombre Leather. I never tried the original.
I do have quite a few to choose from for the CP, but went with Histoires de Parfum 1740 today. I don’t wear this one often, it is pretty big but I sure do like it when I do. I don’t really smell leather but it has this saline quality that is very appealing to me. I wonder what gives it that, Eau des Merveilles has it too but I’m not sure what note reads that way.
Oh, I have that and really like it–on occasion–but never thought of it for this week’s CP. Too bad (but I may wear it tomorrow). I’m interested too in what the note might be, but have no idea either. The only notes in common on the Fragrantica list are cedar and elemi resin. The latter is supposed to smell sort of like “a very fresh spicy piney balsamic smell with citrus facet” (from Fragrantica); wonder if that could be it? I never think of cedar as smelling saline at all. I do get that note from the Eau but haven’t noticed it from 1740 (another reason to wear it tomorrow!).
Woo Hoo! I’m in a LOT of Gres Cabochard. The modern version in the updated bottle. There is also a vintage and Parfum but they get ignored now for the newer, easier version.
Have an excellent weekend crew.
Portia xx
You smell wonderful, Portia!
Thanks PL67. Always so good to see your handle pop up.
Cabochard still smells great, doesn’t it!
Yeah, it really does Gaynor. I like the way they lightened it without murdering the intent.
You smell fabulous!
Thanks also!
GAH! Auto correct!
Thanks Allo.
Lalalalalala… I don’t need another leather scent! Temptress!
HA! Sorry, but so not sorry. It’s a very cheap thrill but really good.
I’m not wearing any perfume yet, but I am thinking of Jolie Madame for later in the day. I bought it from Fragrancenet about eight years ago, I quite liked it and it was dirt cheap. When I realised later just how much I liked it, Jolie Madame was nowhere to be found.
My 50ml bottle is enough for my lifetime, but a backup would have been comforting 🙂
Echoing Kanuka’s comment about our New Zealand summer, it really has been rubbish so far, and I’m looking glumly out the window at another dull and wet Saturday morning.
MMMMM! Jolie Madame. so good.
Yes to the Jolie!❤️
Sorry to hear that your summer weather has been unfun.
Ugh, sorry!
I couldn’t think of what to wear so dug into a sample box and came up with two choices: on the left hand, Cuir Mauresque, and on the right, Boy Smells Suede Pony. I’m sorry to say that I’ve already had to scrub the SL. Ugh! This makes no sense whatsoever but on me all I can smell is some sort of rotten banana odor. It’s sickening. I guess that’s what becomes of the more sweet floral notes in it on my skin. I’m surprised by how much I’me enjoying Suede Pony, on the other hand (literally). It’s quite a pretty scent (but the suede isn’t very detectable to me).
Lol that really cracked me up “on the other hand…”
Ew, rotten banana! 🤢
Aww, jeez, all this time I’ve been smelling like a rotten banana and didn’t know it! 😂
After having the flu, I am only doing light scents these days. For some reason everything gives me a headache. I’ve had good luck this week with Jo Malone. Layering blackberry and bay with the word, sage, and sea salt.
Watching Holland vs Argentina
Eating lemon meringue pie
*Wood Sage & Sea Salt not word lol 😂
That’s a good combination!
I tried one of the body creams today and I almost bought it
LOL. I really like the Wood Sage & Sea Salt cream and the Blackberry & Bay one as well. I still think the Orange Blossom goes with a lot of the colognes. Which did you try?
I tried WS&S! Loved it
If I do you get an enabler pin
I need another enabler pin. I haven’t had one for a while.
Even all these days later, I get a quick headache if I don’t drink insane amounts of water…it is like my body is still dehydrated even though I have no fever.
I understand! I am still not 100 %. I am ok, but still feel off and fatigued
Take good care of yourself Robin
I’m not too fond of leather as a fragrance note but I do have a few that I enjoy. For today’s cp I’m wearing one of my favorites, Balmain Jolie Madame, with its leather base note. Earlier this week I really enjoyed the soft suede note in Rihanna’s Rogue, and I was surprised to learn that leather was a base note in the popular Clinique Wrappings that I wore yesterday. So I guess I scored a few points this week even though I was at first doubtful that I would!
Today looks like December with its wintry rain/snow mix and gloomy skies. Spending the afternoon baking kolaczki for a cousins’ get-together on Sunday. A few months ago I was unexpectedly reunited with a cousin I haven’t seen in decades. He’s decided to get some of us together – my mom had a huge family and there are many cousins I haven’t seen in years. To celebrate our heritage, he’s ordering food from a Polish deli; I’ll be bringing Polish beer and what I call Cioci Flo’s kolaczki, and we’ll be sharing for the first time the results of our separate genealogical researches. Also really looking forward to a blues’ concert tomorrow night featuring harmonica and tenor sax – should be fun!
Wishing everyone a bit of fun this weekend, ✌️ and ❤️, too!
That sounds like a great weekend Laila, enjoy!
I am wearing Jolie Madame edt.
I went to an estate sale today, lots of people waiting in line . I found some nice vintage silk scarves, an amazing handbag and a cashmere sweater, there were some nice jewelry and lots of 60’s style clothing, apparently she was a well known model and had very nice wardrobe.
That sound so fun! I’m always on the lookout for good estate sales.
Sounds like a fun sale, nice you found some treasures.
Woke up to 10.5 inches of snow.
Not participating in the CP. Wearing No. 5 L’eau today.
Yuk.
At least you smell great!
Thanks!
That sounds like winter in the Midwest.
It is! South Dakota and Minnesota got hit pretty hard. Sounds like it might be worse next week. We haven’t had a lot of snow the last few years though and we need the moisture.
Eek! Most of my in-laws are in the Twin Cities. Fortunately, the only one who is not retired is full-time WFH.
I had a horrible night last night. Headache until 3am, and a panic attack when I laid down to sleep. Amazed that I feel human after that.
SOTD = Bottega Veneta EdP. I finally felt like perfume late this afternoon.
Sorry about your awful night! Glad you’re feeling better today though! I may have seen a full moon last night? It looked spectacular anyways but usually all the weird stuff happens then. And it was weird here too!
I seem to recall one of the weather guys or gals here mentioning a full moon either Wednesday night or last night.
Thanks for confirming; it makes more sense for what happened here last night!
I hope you have a peaceful sleep tonight!
I hope that tonight is less eventful for sure!
Twins, you smell wonderful. Sorry to hear about your rough night, though. Hopefully, you get some good sleep tonight.
Fingers crossed.
That’s horrible about your night!
I wish you restful sleep and sweet dreams tonight.
You do smell awesome!
Awwwwww, thanks lillyjo!
Oh boy! At least you feel better and you do smell wonderful.
What sleep I did get was good quality. Just short.
Fingers crossed for a good night tonight Jalapeno!
Living vicariously, enjoying all the scents being worn this week! I’ve been commando during the day in the last few weeks as I’m too afraid of the insects that would find me should I spray something on! Then I must have picked up a nasty bug as I had a stomach flu starting Sunday night. Not a fun week! I’m feeling 95% better than Monday. Water, Sprite and crackers have been my diet this week. Sending healing thoughts to all those struggling with illnesses recently.
I may have to apply some Wrappings lotion after my shower tonight. Thanks to those who mentioned the leather note in it. Happy Friday and weekend everyone!
Yuck on the biting bugs AND the stomach bug!
Seriously!
I’m sorry you were sick. Crackers and Sprite are truly healing foods. ( here though, we usually get Vernors Ginger Ale.
I don’t wear perfume either if there is a chance of bugs.
Thank you, lillyjo! I’ll have to look for that ginger ale next time we are out, or is it regional?
I’m pretty sure it is only sold in the Midwest. Don’t quote me on it though. It’s like Canada Dry but much more gingery.
I see Vernor’s out here in NJ occasionally.
Got behind on comments this week, but I’ve worn and enjoyed Violette Volynka along with several others here. It reminds me very much of my beloved Insolence edp, but lighter and less, um, insolent? Today is an easy choice for CP points: Cuir Beluga. Happy Friday! Our local TJX stores have started getting in more perfumes. Prices don’t seem to be as good as FragranceNet in many cases, but they had some that tend to be sold out. I saw two KKW’s Nude Soliel and Nude Suede, and Atelier Bloem Nieuw Amsterdam. Also Aura edt. I only bit on the $13 Betsey Johnson travel spray set because I’d been wanting to try Pretty-n-Punk. I did like it as a sweet patchouli. The other two were OG Betsey and Betseyfied. They had several sets, and two were $1 more! Maybe everyone already know this, but look at each package of something you want in TJX because the prices are not always the same.
Last time I was at my local TJX, the selection was rather pathetic.
I might stop there this weekend.
I would like Aura edt.
Hopefully I just purchased the last of the Christmas gifts. Unless of course another deal comes my way. Lol. I did unsubscribe to about 4 stores today.
My sotd is Tuscan Leather. One dab from my decant and man is it potent.
You smell nice for sure!
I don’t blame you one bit for hitting “Unsubscribe” to those stores. Multiple emails in the same day gets irritating pretty darned quick.
I keep waiting to see results from my unsubscribes. Pretty sure someone sold my contact info earlier in the fall — the volume of messages from places worse website I’ve never opened is horrible.
Went with ye olde Cuir de Russie EDT today. Can’t really go wrong with this one.
Nope, it’s always right!
Hi Twin (EDP rather than EDT but close enough)!
I flunked the CP today. Ended up with two rounds of 28 La Pausa. The nose wants what the nose wants.
Mr.Skal and I had a lovely lunch with our friend. I’d forgotten that this restaurant has a small bakery case at the front; e came home with two gigantic peanut butter chocolate cookies and a chocolate covered coconut macaroon. We split the macaroon this evening; it was so good!
Wow those cookies sound good!
I am from 90 miles south of the Twin Cities, but have lived in South Dakota for many years now.
Oops wrong place. That was supposed to be a comment to Skalolazka under my post. Good grief.
I’m late! But my SOTD yesterday was Guerlain’s Iris Torrefié, which has a leather note (though it’s very subtle). It’s just beautiful, and although I have several iris-focused fragrances, I would probably add this to my collection if it weren’t so expensive. I’m very happy to have a generous sample from the Guerlain boutique in Las Vegas.
