Tauer Perfumes has launched Golestan, a new fragrance named for the Golestan Palace in Tehran.
The perfume of a flower garden. A striking and sophisticated experience of gracefully blended flowers blooming in timeless manner in a colorful place. The garden greets you with first impressions of fresh citrus and rich ylang. Rose absolute from Bulgaria softens exuberant doses of white flower absolutes: sensual jasmine, lustful tuberose and erotic orange blossom. The exuberant complexion of these natural absolutes gives rise to an abundant and dynamic floral perfume. The base is rich, with creamy patchouli and amber notes blended into sweet and soft woods.
Golestan refers the seductive classics, yet it is an uncompromising modern and original perfume. It comes as long lasting extrait de parfum.
INSPIRATION:
It all started when I visited the Louvre in Paris in 2020. There I stumbled over a section that I never visited before although I was in the Louvre a couple of times. The section was all about Persian empires and history. A revelation! I was mesmerized by the grandeur, by the statues, and the cultural heritage, spanning more than 5000 years. I began to discover more, reading books and I ended up discovering the palace with the name of Golestan in Teheran in pictures. The palace, also known as the Rose Garden Palace, built in the 16th century, with its ornamental and figurative paintings on tiles, was pure inspiration. Golestan literally translates to city of flowers or garden of flowers.Although I could not travel to Iran so far, I created a perfume that brings me there. It is an invitation to breathe the perfumed air of a flower garden, in freedom.
Additional notes include bergamot, lemon peel, cinnamon, cistus and vanilla.
Tauer Perfumes Golestan is available in 5 or 50 ml Extrait de Parfum. In the US, you can find the 50 ml size at Ministry of Scent, $195.

I ordered the cute cute cute little bottle, as someone else said, before I finished reading. I notice that int Vault area there is one I have wishing for for a while! I have to buy presents for other people! Lol. Can’t wait for this to come, it sounds right up my alley.
This email from Tauer was bittersweet this morning.
I worked not far from Golestan Palace when I lived in Teheran and drove by many, many times when the Pahlavi family was in residence.
It does not conjure up the rose scents here, but rather cold, snow, winter light and sun filtering through the trees.
Ooh! I wonder if Tauer can develop a Golestan Winter?

Yep, there’s a reason why I pay for that mailbox in Point Roberts. 🙂 Luckyscent will probably eventually have the full bottle; they do ship up here at great cost, but then, they won’t likely have the 5 ml.
