We're marking the first weekend in July with our standard-issue open thread poll. (And don't forget, Donatella will be dropping by on Wednesday.)
Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, the fragrance you think you'll wear the most this month, whatever.

I’m in Sur Le Nil. Another beautiful sunny day here.🌞
I got my car back yesterday. Woo hoo! Good as new and they even installed a new radio! My Apple CarPlay has not been working for months and it turns out it was the radio and not my own challenges with technology, ha! I feel so vindicated.
We watched the ‘Papa’ episode of Stranger Things last night. Woah, that was intense. I had a hard time falling asleep then last night. Have to gear up for the two and a half hour finale.
I forget who wore a perfume for Stranger Things yesterday, but I think a Stranger Things cp is a fun idea!
Happy Saturday everyone!😎
Gorgeous here too. Our town is packed with people and festive atmosphere.
Oh, I hope you have fun! The 4th is my favorite holiday, and my favorite place to be is up north. I have such great memories from when the kids were little and we would take them in to my tiny hometown parade where they collected gobs and gobs of candy.☺️ Unforeseen circumstances prevented us from going this year, we’ll have to make the best of it in the city.
Glad you have your car back and a new radio!
Have a great weekend 🌞
Also… congrats to madtownteen on the job!
Thanks lillyjo! I hope you have a great weekend too! (even though you have to work)
ahhh, the scent of VINDICATION in the air. Wear it well all day!!
Haha, I will!
I spied a little mini of Sur le Nil yesterday as I made a half-hearted attempt to tidy the perfume cupboard. 😉
You smell divine! I must wear that one someday soon.
Thanks tiffanie! It works great in the heat, and those Hermès minis are so cute.
Nice to hear that it was the radio’s fault, and not yours! 🎼🎶📻
More rain! Holy cow the rain. It hammered down on Thursday, it’s doing to the same today, and we’re expecting more tomorrow. This is the wettest summer in years. At least it had the decency to hold up on Canada Day.
I’m in Lush Lust, the sexiest jasmine. I might have to get some more: my ancient 10-mL spray is getting kind of low. Looking covetously at that new Lush Garden coffret….
That coffret IS tempting!
SO tempting!
Rain! I’m wishing we could order it up in a nice slow soak pattern so the ground actually has time to absorb it rather than have it all run off. We need rain so BAD here in the western US!
Roads Harmattan
I have seven bottles lined up on my white shelf for this month- Harmattan, Clockwork, Oud Bouquet, Bohea Boheme, Ganymede, Lovely Patchouli and Patchouli Nobile
Any within thunking distance?
Well last summer I wore Patchouli Nobile for the entire summer on a daily basis so that one is pretty close.
I like this idea! Lining bottles on a shelf for a week and focusing on those may make thinking a bit more attainable.
*thunking! Although I do have issues with “thinking” sometimes as well. 😜
“thinking” made total sense to me😀
Me too!
Interesting slate of perfumes.
Systematic scents, that’s a gorgeous idea. 😀
SOTD = Sultan Pasha Irisoir Attar
Three swipes, no double-dipping should last me all day. It stays close to skin but I will find out if my BIL’s faux sensitive nose starts to twitch later 🤣.

We’re having a low key July 4th celebration today at my sister’s place. It will just be me, my sister and BIL and of course their little dog. My other sister had moved to Pennsylvania a few weeks ago and my human Hoover nephew is at what I call basic training.
Happy Fourth to those who celebrate!

Hope you have a great time with family and BIL’s nose is less sensitive than usual!
We had a good time and my BIL’s nose is as broken as ever 🤣
That owl has Bette Davis eyes!
Happy 4th Hajusuuri!
Thank you. She sure does .. dreamy with stars!
Hope you have a nice time!
I did. Thank you!
Happy 4th and enjoy your family gathering!
Thanks and to you too!
hee hee, please do report back on scentaphobe BIL? Always makes me chuckle. 😀
🤣. I knew he was a faker and he did not disappoint!
Tales of your “scent-faker” BIL are usually very amusing!
He was in his element talking about not getting into the military way (way) back when. I think there were patriarchal expectations.
Chilly morning here so I went with Indochine. So delicious.
Love that one! You smell fantastic!
the best. the desert island one. the bury me with my bub one.
“the bury me with my bub one.” Perfect! 👍🏼
+1 🤣
Well thank you,
Thanks everyone for the happy wishes, yesterday. Nice to share our anniversaries, Kris! And tiffanie, my wedding perfume was a mixture of Body Shop Oceana and patchouli e.o.
Have a nice 4th, all!
Yes, it was nice to share anniversaries. I don’t even know what I wore for our wedding. It was my second marriage and my husband’s fourth, so it was a pretty small get together. I guess perfume wasn’t as important to me back then.
I wish mine was smaller. I could have culled it down to immediate family…even that.😉
My honeymoon fragrance was a big sample of Organza Indecence. I hadn’t even tried it yet!
Sounds like you found your guy.❤ Also, very easy to remember how many years we’ve been married.
Yes, we finally found each other and it has worked out perfectly.
Sounds lovely! I used to haunt the Body Shop regularly. I have a bottle of discontinued grapefruit body wash I adore so much I am hoarding it.
I’m still hoarding my vanilla, leap, and everything else I got my paws on!
I’m swanning about (not really. More like stumbling about until I get coffee in me.) in Shalimar MVP. So GOOD! Pretty sure that if I had to choose one perfume (the HORROR!) for the rest of my life, this would be it.
I’ve been wearing my new maxi-dresses just about every day and loving them. Perfect weight, the fabric is cooling but opaque enough to not need a slip. A little sleeve on most and a nice V neckline, all of which makes for nice ventilation! Today is a longitudinal chevron design in Caribbean colors to make me look tall and slim. Not really working but I AM looking decidedly less homeless and finding people actually meet my eye rather than skip quickly away. But that might be the purple hair…
Working the next 3 which is fine by me. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. I will admit, I’m having a hard time with this one for political reasons I won’t get into (you’re welcome!). Cheers and be well! 🇺🇸
Working the holiday weekend twins!
yes to swanning about! 🙂 You and MVP smell like a goddess.
Thank you!
And I love “looking decidedly less homeless” — a good reason to invest in maxi dresses 🙂
Tomorrow is my birthday! Debating between gifting myself the Vilhelm Parfumerie sample pack with an extra sample of Hera, or blind buying the new Chanel Paris-Paris. Advise away if you’ve tried any!
Happy early Birthday!
happy happy bday to you!
I love Paris Paris so pretty and easy to wear. I have the lotion too.
Happy birthday. Save time and buy both. You won’t regret it.
2nd!
Happy Birthday! Get both and enjoy them! 🎁
Both! Enjoy ! 🎂
Happy Early Birthday!
Thirding and fourthing and fifthing all who said to buy both! Happy Birthday!
have a delightful birthday!
I’m desperate to sniff Paris-Paris and Hera so I can’t be of any help there. Perfume problems make me laugh at myself. 😉
A late posting but have a very happy birthday 🙂
Happy Birthday. I love Chanel Paris Paris, I would go with that.
Happy Birthday! Yes, treat yo self!
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!🎉 yep, get both!
Happy Scented Birthday! 🎂🥂💐🎁 Shoot the moon and get both, particularly if it is a “Significant Number” birthday!
Hello all!
Day 2 in vintage Paris EdT. Good God this stuff is gorgeous! I need to find another bottle stat. I got so many compliments yesterday. Clearly time has not turned on Paris in the same way as Opium or Poison.
Not feeling like a holiday this weekend but excited for a day off!
Stay safe!
Wow! Sounds like Paris is made for you
Some of the Paris summer flankers were fantastic, too.
Is that YSL Paris, or what?
I bought a small bottle of vintage Paris a while ago, and I fell in love with it all over again! It’s so beautiful.
In Atelier Cologne Patchouli Riviera, thanks to a recent freebie from a generous NSTer.
Another super hot and humid day. Meeting at my youngest sister place for dinner later this afternoon. Only my sisters and their families, mom and I will be there. Tomorrow and the 4th will be just relaxing at home.
Happy weekend, everyone! 🌞
Have fun with the gang !
Thank you, Kanuka! 🌻
That Atelier is a rather nice one!
It is! Very refreshing!
Mojave Ghost for the farmers market 🌱 🍏 🍑
Ilha do Mel after the market
Watching For All Mankind on appleTV and I like it so far. I tried watching halftime the documentary on JLo and there is something about her I just don’t like so I stopped. A friend recommended Peaky Blinders to me
Happy Fourth 🎉 weekend
One of these days I will have to get apple tv.
My husband likes Peaky Blinders.
I am just starting season 3 of The Split on Hulu and I can already tell it’s just going to get more depressing. I might save it for the fall and find something cheerful for summer.
I just got Ilha do Mel in my Luckyscent samples and tried it yesterday. I found it just too sweet. Do you like it?
Because of the 🍯 note?
I love the florals with the mix of honey.
I loved it after I sampled it and afraid to admit I bought a full bottle. I prefer it over Beige.
I do love a good honey note, so I’ll have to add that one to my sampling list.
I’m wearing new Perris Monte Carlo Neroli Mediterraneo, beautiful for the summer.
We had some violent storms going through Poland yesterday. My area wasn’t really affected but in tonight’s news I saw the devastation it brought to other places.
https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfgqu0DjPIx/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Just checked the news…that was indeed a serious storm!
Funny piece in the paper about the things Americans miss most living in NZ ( interviewed people who had moved here post-Trump) .Top of the list was decent Mexican food. Next was Amazon Prime ( and fast shipping). Good dill pickles. Cheap petrol ( it’s over $3 litre now) . Can’t remember the rest. I was surprised about the dill pickles being on the list as I didn’t realise they were so worthy of attention. We used to always make jars of pickled onions and picked gherkins when I was a kid but I don’t think either are so popular now. Anyway, Sunday and will take the dogs for a bike ride once the sun is up. Wearing Fils de Joie, nice.
I am surprised by dill pickles too. In any restaurant that serves them, you see most of them still left on plates when people have finished eating and left.
Maybe they just miss the idea of good dill pickles.
Oh wow, if anyone leaves dill pickles on their plate when I’m around, I will ask if I can have them!
Me too!
I love them too and I would argue that we do have good dill pickles . They are usually called Pickled Gherkins here but do have dill in the brine. I love the crunch.
I thought that museums, art galleries, broadway, live concerts, or nature ( skunks, woodpeckers), department stores would come in higher than pickles
Isn’t that funny! I really missed bagels and cream cheese when I lived in France, even though I rarely eat them.
I missed cheese scones when I was in Germany. But like you, I rarely eat them here.
I’ve never had a cheese scone, but it sounds delicious!
So interesting what’s on the list. I’d certainly be one to say I missed good Mexican food, but even though I like dill pickles, I doubt they’d top my list.
And I wore Fils de Joie last night and am still smelling it on my arms this morning so we were on the same wavelength yesterday.
Perfume vibes! I don’t think I have ever had proper Mexican or Tex Mex food. We definitely don’t have a wide range of restaurants where I am.
I would totally miss good Mexican and Tex-Mex food. (Yes, they are very different!)
Had a wonderful trip to Connecticut!…and I need another week off to recover from the vacation.😅
No perfume yet but sniffing Paris Paris on a strip…lovely rose and patchouli.
PSA for two good sale codes…for fragrancebuy.ca code 10FORAMERICA for 10% w/ free shipping over $155 and for luckyscent code FUN15 for 15% off!!!
Am crushed that the Chanel Eaux are no longer in sniffing distance, but am sticking to Paris Venise, whose shower gel is also awesome.
So glad you enjoyed your trip!
I saw the Luckyscent sale and the greedy part of me wants to be able to use the 15% code AND the free shipping code but they make us choose. Time to practice gratitude 🙂
I got Luckyscent! And thank you for the other.
Rather, luckyscent got me.
You know a vacation was good when you need another to recover 🙂
Glad you had a great time! And thanks for me codes!
So glad you had a great vacation!
Where did you go in CT?
Hi Jalapeno, my sister lives in North Haven and we stayed in Wallingford. I am originally from Stratford and visited there too. We did the Essex steam train and riverboat and went to Mystic too! 🙂
Wearing the summery Vetiver pour Elle on a beautifully summery day.
You smell great AnnieA!
I love that one and will be sad when my decant’s finally gone. You smelled great in it, I’m sure!
I’m wearing Azemour today. The fireworks started last night and I’m not looking forward to the next few nights. The big booms scare the kitties.
Poor kitties. I always feel badly for animals on the 4th.
T-Rex is not fond of them either. Someone was setting off big M80’s last night and she was a petrified mess…
Not a fan of the big booms here either. I’ll be puppy sitting starting tomorrow, and the doggo has PTSD from gun noise. I wish my neighbors would lay off, it’s illegal here.
Same here, it’s illegal but it goes on for days around July 4 (and New Year’s, and a few other holidays). I hate it! My old dog was terrified of storms and fireworks, but my current dog couldn’t care less.
Ahhh, poor things. Luckily we’ve had few cats care about fireworks noises. Oddly, it was the boys.
Someone in the area has been shooting off fireworks since Friday night. It bothers me more than it does my cats; they couldn’t care less.
In CdG Blackpepper again. So good.
CdG scents are so often superb. 🙂
They’ve been a late discovery for me and a happy one!
Eating cereals for dinner, I planned to cook carrots but it will be tomorrow. Wore vintage Coty l’Aimant edt, I also have the parfum de toilette, very plush-smelling. Tonight it’s Robert Piguet Visa.
l’Aimant is legendary, I’m imagining you smell wonderful.
I love cereal for dinner. 🙂
Thank you, it is really lovely, I don’t see it mentioned, I plan to wear more of it this summer 😃
Cold cereal is a great meal option on steamy summer days.
Covid has arrived in our household, my beloved tested positive yesterday and is feeling a bit unwell. I started to get some similar symptoms last night, but tested negative this morning. I feel as if I have a cold, so I’m hoping it stays that way. Regardless, we’ll be isolating at home for a week.
My nose is still good, I can smell traces of last night’s dab of Désert Suave from Liquides Imaginaires. I love the idea of date notes, but the perfumes are almost always too sweet.
I’m eyeing up the 15% coupon from Luckyscent and wondering how much that might offset the fearful postage…
I hope you don’t get too sick and that you do recover quickly…both of you.
take good care, Gaynor. I hope you and your dear one are able to rest, recuperate, and feel well soon.
I hope both of you recover soon. Sending healing thoughts!
Oh no, so sorry Gaynor!! Hope it is a mild blip for both of you.
I’ m sorry, Gaynor. Hope your loved one has a very mild case and you feel yourself soon.
Feel better soon!
Wishing a speedy recovery for all!
Best wishes that you don’t come down with it too.
Oh no, I hope you both feel better soon!
So sorry to hear you and your beloved are sick. Hope it is very short lived.
Hope you are both feeling better soon!
Oh no. Sorry to hear that your household has been hit with COVID. Fingers crossed that things stay mild and depart soonest!
Oh no, I hope the Covid goes easy on you.
sotd = phi une rose de kandahar + Myrrhe Eglantine
One on the left, the other on the right. Spicy roses for the win! They play nicely together.
I’m watching Hotel Portofino on PBS. I can’t decide if it’s wonderful or awful. The scenery, interiors, and clothes are excellent eye candy, as are some of the actors.
But the acting? Ohmygoodness, I can hardly keep from averting my eyes at times. Oh well, it’s all in good fun, and it makes my mum happy. She recommended I watch it, and now we have something to chat about.
Not feeling particularly patriotic for this US holiday, but we’ll see as the weekend progresses. I’m wearing all black and white (ha!) as I get ready for a slice of Yoga with Adriene. I keep going back for the body bending, with a scoop of Benji on the side.
Hoping everyone’s weekend is coming up roses wherever you are and whatever you choose to do.
Here’s some FREEDOM for ya!
https://youtu.be/3YHVC1DcHmo
Thank you for the happy video, I do love that one!
And good to know. Maybe I’ll start Hotel Portofino, I could use something mindless right now.
Mindless is perfect.
I had to stop giggling at your description. Awesome.
I bet you smell great. Hotel Portofino sounds like great escape TV.
Definitely good eye candy with some of those actors!
Haha, we feel the same about Hotel Portofino, but keep watching anyway. We are Masterpiece junkies. Have you seen the party episode yet? We thought that one was lol funny. The scenery is beautiful.
No, and I missed it last night, too bad. I’m sure it will be repeated. I did watch Endeavour last night. Even though I have come to like that young guy a lot, I find most of the plots rather stupid, including last night’s.
We watched Endeavour too. I agree, I really like the actor Shaun Evans, I do wish Morse would get his act together though.😞 We have PBS passport so rarely watch things in real time.
I am wearing Lvnea Rose Sandalwood Patchouli body oil layered with FM Une Rose.
It is finally feeling like summer.
I was at a birthday party yesterday and ate lots of cake and sweets, feeling like eating salads whole week.
That sounds like such a lovely fragrant layering.
Your body oil sounds wonderful!
Hello everyone, and happy holiday weekend to those in the USA. I’m trying Memo Sintra today from a recent small batch of samples I got from Luckyscent. I had tried it awhile back when I went out sniffing with Nancyleandros at Neiman Marcus (ages ago, during the exhilaration of the first relief after vaccinations arrived), and I found it weird but memorable, so I wanted to try it again. It’s weird for sure, a powdery candy bomb. I don’t know why it is still so appealing! Hmmm. I also have tried Memo Ilha do Mel (too sweet for me) and Eau d’Italie Mystic Sunset (it has one weird note I did not like, must be the saffron because the others sound fine to me). I have also tried the new Zoologist Sacred Scarab several times and can’t get a grip on it. It changes a lot while it’s on and I really feel this is a case where a sprayer may be necessary in order to experience it better. At the start I smell citrus, aldehydes, and smoke (! lots !–must be the cade), but after not too long it morphs into something very rich and plummy, which I absolutely love. Mmmm. When used well I find plum to be a most seductive note. Plus I do get the civet dirty part. But it kind of fades away sooner than I would like into a very nice but non-remarkable amber. This is why I’d like to try it from a spray bottle. I’ll have to check if they have it in one of their smaller travel spray bottles.
The other day I tried a new recipe for potato salad with pesto. It just did not turn out that well, plus it looked like a mess. Today I plan to try a recipe I found for turkey sloppy joes. It’s kind of complicated because it has grated onions and carrots plus mushrooms (I’ll do them in the food processor), plus the ground turkey and a reasonably complex tomato sauce as well. We’ll see. I hope it’s decent and I’ll have enough for several meals. I have no plans at all for tomorrow except reading a Jane Austen novel (Mansfield Park).
Kanuka, if you are here, I’m so glad you found Stranger to watch. I’ve begun to rewatch Season 1. So if you have thoughts along the way feel free to write me! I am cfreeland quadruple nines in the world of the yahoos.
Great perfume reviews, thank you. Thanks for your email contact. I will get in touch later this week. I am reading Howards End for the first time and may do Mansfield Park next as I’m doing British authors. But I will get in touch, thank you.
I know what you mean about needing to smell a perfume from being sprayed rather than dabbed to really decide how you feel about it sometimes. For that reason, I tend to buy my samples at Ministry of Scent (formerly TigerLily) and Indigo instead of Luckyscent whenever possible. Minstry of Scent does carry Zoologist! Haven’t checked to see if they have Sacred Scareb yet though.
And gosh, reading Mansfield Park sounds like a good time. I haven’t read any Austen in a long while, and that’s a top two Austen for me (I think…always have a hard time picking favorites).
Those sloppy joes sound delicious! Hope they turn out great!
Thank you. It turned out I had lost track of the original recipe I’d planned to make, but I found and made a similar one from Martha Stewart. It also had grated carrots. I added grated mushrooms too which were in the original recipe. It turned out pretty well except that (a) it was too sweet! and (b) it was very soupy. I did eat some on a bun last night but what a mess–Beyond Sloppy! I plan to make some rice tonight and eat the leftovers with rice.
Here’s the recipe: https://www.marthastewart.com/315018/turkey-sloppy-joes
Thanks Calypso! I will copy this recipe. (And probably make it with beef) I’ll see if I can adjust it so it’s less sweet and sloppy.😉
Good luck with the new Sloppy Joes recipe! It sounds very tasty.
I tried making meatloaf with ground turkey recently, and while it tasted alright, the texture was a little strange.
Sometimes, unless you’re on a strict diet, the real thing will satiate you better than substitutes. Some people may disagree, I get the regular cream cheese, mayonnaise and I love me some half and half in my coffee.
I absolutely MUST have real half and half in my coffee. On a couple of occasions I slipped and mistakenly bought the atrocity that calls itself Fat Free Half and Half. Ugh! I’m quite careful about double checking the labels now!
There are a lot of good turkey meatloaf recipes out there. You might like to try a different one.
Calypso, you’ve been busy sniffing! Thanks for the mini-reviews.
I stumbled upon a scent with a lush plum note: Marienbad by Prada, part of their exclusive collection. I love it, although it may be more suited to winter than summer.
Thanks for that tip!
Went for a lovely bike ride with the dogs yesterday. They trot next to Alex’s bike and appear well trained, which is a laugh. We went out just before dawn and went down to the graveyard just as the sun was rising, and light was hitting the mirror pond harbour below us. Not much to smell but there were lots and lots ( hundreds….not really hundreds, I exaggerate) of blackbirds both in the graveyard and on the playing field. You often notice blackbirds as early spring arrives. I don’t know if it’s because the males are beginning to establish territory or if something about the ground temperature brings an increase in grass grubs and worms near the surface. I will have to find out. Monday! Wearing Silky Woods in bed.
That does sound lovely! We meant to do a bike ride this weekend, but it was a bit too hot and we did not get going early enough.
Hi everyone! I came back from my one vacation this summer last weekend. I was just home visiting the family, but it was very nice. I’m glad I’ll be around the rest of the time because my garden is going gangbusters and I need to water and check on things frequently! My tomatoes and cucumbers are flowering, and the zucchini which I only started in June have huge leaves (no flowers yet though). None of the basil I planted from seed came up, but that’s okay. I have some space left from some plants that didn’t make it, and I may try some carrots and lettuce even though it’s late in the season for them.
I’m in the remnants of Avon Little Black Dress which I put on before I went to bed last night. I remember someone online once said it reminded them of the original Vera Wang, and it is similarly a very perfumey perfume, if you know what I mean.
I don’t keep track of the perfumes I buy each quarter, though I could probably figure it out from my credit card receipts ;). It seems the more I buy, the more I want, even though I have enough to last me several lifetimes already! After my shower (I’m still lounging) I’ll try to thunk a sample at least.
Welcome back! Glad you had a nice time visiting family, it always feels good to back home though, too.
Thank you! Yep, it’s good to be back :).
Welcome back!
Thanks Jalapeno!
Hi Socks!! Garden-Happiness Twin! I hope to take a vacation this year, but my garden is making me so happy in the meantime! My zucchini are off to a slow start, but my yellow squash have nice little fruits, and a cherry tomato will be right behind with something pickable.
Hi MossyBerry!! Hooray for happy gardens! It’s so fun to see them evolve. I’m impatient for picking time though!
Having a blah day so far with a case of the sleepies and a sinus headache. I am going to go read in bed and hope to be able to nap. I often have a really hard time with napping. No matter how tired I am my mind often just won’t shut off to allow me to sleep in the daytime. Still wearing remnants of last night’s Fils de Joie. My SOTD yesterday was DSH Fleuriste while the boyfriend and I laid down a blanket in a public grassy spot a couple blocks away and read our books there for a little bit. Then went to pick up sandwiches and fries for an early dinner and watched the long Stranger Things finale. So a pretty good Saturday overall and now having a very lazy Sunday. I am glad for an extra day off work tomorrow since today’s a bust so far.
Stranger Things finale twins! How did you like it? I thought it was good, but honestly felt they could have wrapped up the entire series . I mean, how many times and ways can they spin this story, but that’s just like my opinion.😉 I’m sure we’ll watch the next season too, lol.
I liked it, but I agree with you that they probably could have ended things this season. I’ll definitely keep watching. I’m pretty sure they already said next one will be the last, but maybe I’m imagining that.
Hope that you are feeling better ASAP! Sinus headaches are terrible, especially if they are caused by the weather.
Thank you, my head’s bee n feeling better for a little while. I wasn’t able to nap earlier, but it did feel good to lay in bed and read for a bit. I’m getting to bed earlier tonight than last night for sure. Oh, and we’ve had very cool weather lately so I’m sure it’s the culprit!
Yay for your Monday holiday! I worked for banks for 14 years, and those Monday holidays…well, all I can say is ahhhhhhh! Regarding Fils de Joie: a day with that wonderful scent is not wasted. 😀 Might just be on my list for this week now…
Heh I work for a credit union so I absolutely get the enjoyment of the bank holidays! Fils de Joie’s honey was pretty and persistent so I put on some Kilian Back to Black to keep the honey going.
Just finished coffee and breakfast, after being awoken by the medi-evac copter. Be safe out there this weekend, folks!
Wearing Bengale Rouge because it’s easy, lovely, and a crowd pleaser. This is my Wednesday and then FOUR DAYS OFF! Happy 4th to those in the US and happy WEEKEND to everyone else around the world! 🌍
Wednesday twins!
Weird day. I sprayed on my new Eau d’Ete and headed to church – am on the “greeter” rotation.
Started feeling oddly, slightly nauseous during service. Figured it was coffee on empty stomach so made a smoothie once I got home and went off to work. About 40 minutes later I headed back home after 🤮. Been in bed all day…feel so bad leaving my colleagues on busiest day of the year. It’s like a migraine but without pain. Thought I’d be okay with a quick lie down. But that didn’t work. Nausea is pretty well gone. But I likely won’t feel strong enough to head out for our town fireworks, unfortunately.
Yay! Happy. 4th! 😂🙄
So sorry about the *blep.* Also, been there, done that re: Sunday morning greeter – but pre-Perfumista Days! So, thinking: yes, a styo-cup of simmered coffee might not be the best combo with a new scent!!
Hope all is well for the rest of your Independence Day Weekend!
Hopes you feel better soon, LizzieB!
Hope you can rest tonight and start feeling better tomorrow.
I seem to be all better. No idea what that was, but I’m bummed I missed our big fireworks.
