The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 28 March 2022 4 Comments

Method's latest limited edition hand wash collaboration is with Fifty-Nine Parks ("...brings the beauty of our national playgrounds to your sink. plus, we’re supporting the national park foundation’s parkventures program to help eliminate barriers, and promote access to the benefits of the great outdoors for all.") and features five scents. My pick, second from the right, is Desert Citrus ("with zesty notes of orange and grapefruit representing Grand Canyon") and it's exclusive to Grove, where it's sold in gel or foaming, $3.79 each. (Paradise Reef and Alpine Meadow are exclusive to Target; Woodlands and Harbor Cove should be anywhere Method is sold.)

I’d be interested in trying any of them. Too bad they are so scattered. Maybe they will rotate or be gotten on line.

Citrus is not the first thing that comes to mind for the Grand Canyon. Pine, fir, sage, currantbush are what I think of. Citrus is not cold tolerant and not found in the GC or Flagstaff area. Phoenix has a lot of it.

Hubby is hiking at the bottom of the GC this week. Does it every year. I’ve done it once. Enough for me.

Grove has 3 of them, and I think Target will end up having the 4 not exclusive to Grove, so it’s not that bad maybe?

I have been on both rims of the GC but never to the bottom, that sounds wonderful.

Coming back to this post as I look for gifts for my sister in the US, who refuses to tell me what she wants but generally likes scented home stuff. She’s a big national parks fan and has a number of the Subpar Parks prints in her washroom, so I though this would be perfect, but they seem to be hard to get, at least online. It seems Grove is some sort of subscription service so you can’t just order the soap? Target doesn’t have them on their site, sadly.

I am only seeing 2 of them on the Target site so far but I think they will eventually have 4 of the 5
