It's Tuesday and Singles Awareness Day. Also, World Hippo Day, National Flag of Canada Day, Susan B Anthony Day and ENIAC Day. Birthdays: Galileo Galilei, Ernest Shackleton, Miep Gies. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm taking community project points in Jacinth Jonquil by Prosody London.
Reminder: on 2/18, we're doing Testing, testing, 1 2 3. Wear a perfume (or more than one) that you have never worn before, and tell us about it. (This is almost certainly a repeat.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2022, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the ceramic 8-ball teapot is $65 at Stüssy.
For the CP ,
Testing Blanche by Byredo.
Its already smelling like dish washing detergent
Nope, can’t do it. Going to scrub it off.
I will report back later with my SOTD
I went with Black Saffron from the same line. Perfect for a chilly day…
I’ve never tried Blanche, and now I don’t know if I ever will!
Sorry it was a scrubber!
Yuck! Its smelled like dishwashing detergent
My Palmolive soap smells better.
I looked up the description…
“fresh sheets” NO thanks!
Wise choice.
That’s too bad. The notes sound like something that would be right up my alley, but I see it is described as smelling like fresh laundry. Oh, well I won’t be seeking that one out.
Smells like detergent? YUCK! Hard pass on that one.
Blanche didn’t work for me either. Great description.
No experimenting for me today… We are having a beautiful spring-like day and I am in Baiser Volé by Cartier ?
Happy Tuesday!
Yay, enjoy your beautiful day!
You smell great! Perfect spring scent.
I’m in the last wafts of Shalimar MVP which I wore to bed last night. Mmmmm!
Sitting outside the mechanic shop to have my left front brake drum ground down because apparently I have Hot Spots that are causing my braking- at-high-speed-going-downhill issues. Also in need of an alignment which is not surprising considering all the sketch “roads” I’ve been on. This van has treated me well in the last five years and I have nary a complaint. ?
Also getting my taxes done this afternoon so today is another day stuck doing onerous chores. ?
Mmmmm MVP is so good. My Goldilocks Shalimar.
Good luck with the taxes!
Thanks! MVP is the most perfect vanilla I’ve experienced so far. Really, really wish it wasn’t a limited edition…?
The good news is you’ll get them done and then on to the hikes!
Yes, get stuff done! I’m going against my predominant procrastination gene, but sometimes we must fight our inner nature! ?
*must do taxes*
Yep, death and taxes, the only things we all have to do…??
5 years already! I remember when you just had an idea to convert the van.
I know! I was just thinking about that the other day. It seems like it was just a hot minute ago I started this craziness! So glad I chose to jump into the fire! ?
I hope you get a refund! Makes it worthwhile to do it earlier!
Me too! My income is completely different this year because I sold my house and income is 100% taxable. Prior to selling, I qualified for all the tax free stipends which dropped my taxable income to just about 6 feet under…I’m scared of the IRS ..?
It will be a good feeling to put those chores behind you.
You are correct! I do feel better and now looking forward to getting out of town and exploring next week.
It’s an alarming -30°C out there (with the windchill, which is the only measure that counts), so I’m staying inside and cozy with Bulgari Omnia.
My bottle, which is at least fifteen years old, has a sticker on the bottom with a symbol like you find on sunscreens and other cosmetic items, a jar with a number in it, the only fragrance I have ever seen with this symbol. They say it’s good for 30 months after opening, two and a half years. As if! Two and a half decades is probably closer to the truth.
Love Omnia! you smell great
Smelling fab in the freezing cold!
Cute teapot! That takes me back to my childhood. Sigh. Remember those crazy eight balls? So much fun.
I’m in Parle Moi de Parfum Tomboy Neroli, which luckyscent describes as “ It smells like a freshly-laundered cotton t-shirt stripped off a hot, young body” ….um, okay. No hot young body here, but it is work appropriate imho.
I’ve never really been much of a tomboy, but being an only child, my dad did teach me how to cut grass, chop wood, change a tire, change oil, shoot a gun and filet a fish. That last one I then taught my husband to be when we were fresh out of college, he was quite impressed.?
Our Dad’s were a bit similar. He taught me how to change my car battery over the phone when I was stuck at college and couldn’t drive home.
There is most unfortunately a very noticeable message on the other side of the teapot that says “stussy international designs 1980”, right along the middle of the pot — I was tempted until I saw it.
Thanks for this additional info. I was wanting to order it and then ask it a yes or no question while my tea steeped! 😀
Love this!
Also, really, the answer should be on the underside of the lid!
They really did not do all they could with this idea.
That teapot reminded me of some shift stick knobs that I would see every so often topping a “4 on the floor” manual transmission shifter.
My Dad taught me how to use a hammer and wrench for simple home repairs. He also tried to teach me how to drive, but realized very quickly that it was a lost cause.
I’m taking CP points wearing Intoxicated By Kilian. The notes seem right up my alley, but the overall impression is not good. Maybe I just need to switch to more spring-like fragrances to match our spring-like weather here in Texas.
Jealous of your weather!
Good morning.
It’s only half a month until Spring rolls along. I am a little sad since I am totally a winter person. So I am trying to enjoy all the cold while I still can with long walks outside.
Sotd is Bee. Wore this also last Saturday and my friend complimented me as well as asked what it was. Being an enabler I shared immediately ?
Currently drinking rooibos with a touch of maple syrup.
Cold weather twin here, and dreading summer…?
another summer dreader here.
I always say the only good thing about Summer is Fall is the next season.
Summer dreader is a strange sounding label
A woman after my own heart. Fall is so lovely.
Robin, what do you think of Jacinth Jonquil? Pretty sure there’s a sample of that around here–will seek it out.
Just cracked into Grace Rare Tea Co’s Connoisseur–flavorful & somehow a bit different (in a good way) from my usual black teas.
The opening is pretty if you love big florals. I did not find it held my interest long enough, but I will give it another shot later.
A rainy day after many glorious days of sunshine. My dog is less staticky now at least. 🙂 Wearing Le Cri de la Lumière by PdE.
You smell lovely! I keep circling a FB of that.
You smell wonderful! I need to wear that one more often, and now is the season.
What causes static in dogs?
walking on new carpet in socks?
For peoples yes, but maybe the dog wears socks? Not unheard of!
Really low humidity. We’ve been having what’s called Santa Ana conditions – hot dry wind blowing in from the desert, with humidity below 10%.
Oooooooof. Mr. Jalapeno has told me stories about school recess and Santa Ana winds when he was a kid. “Blast furnace” was one of the things he said.
Oy, not good!
You smell beautiful!
I’ve accidentally zapped my cats’ ears lately with static electricity. Hope that you haven’t done the same with your dog!
You smell lovely!
I’m sampling Regime des Fleurs Little Flower this morning and liking it very much. I’m not usually much for rose scents, but this one is nice.
I don’t know SheriG, first you went for a FB of Grisette and now you are liking Little Flower… You can deny it all you want, but you might just be a rose lover afterall! 🙂
I thought you might call me out on that. ?
Busting chops is my love language 🙂
We still need to find you a replacement for Iroaz — yet *another* rose that you liked, iirc! Beach + rose is always on my background radar, but I’m at a disadvantage bc I’ve never smelled the target.
Hee. ? I have enough Iroaz to last a few years, but I am still on the hunt for something similar that isn’t so blasted hard to come by. Little Flower is darned close but, sadly, is similarly hard to find. Actually, the Lubin Anna that you sent is a fairly decent candidate — I need to give that a truly comprehensive, wrist-to-wrist testing.
It might have been just a question of finding the right rose(s) for you. ?
Indeed — you, in fact, enabled another rose-adjacent scent in my current arsenal, iirc. ?
Gee, I wonder which one that could be? ???
But you will be happy to hear that Soivohle perfumes seem to age very well!
So they do! I might wear Paracelsus tomorrow, in part to counteract the scent of slightly burnt sawdust that we currently have due to dry-rot mitigation … but mostly just because it’s so beautiful. ?
Saw Breakfast at Tiffany’s last night at the movies which was really fun. Great to view it on a big screen (it was packed!). The film gives some good screen time to perfume too. Love the scene where she’s drunk and spraying like crazy as Paul aka Fred Baby is carrying her upstairs over his shoulder.
SOTD: Chocolate Man
I’ve been struggling with that movie — in general I love it and I would like to show it to my daughter, because I think she’d like it, but…Mickey Rooney. I just can’t see how that will go over with Gen Z — hard to explain.
Yes, very diff comic relief back then.
It was uncomfortable sitting there in the theater but also grateful for how far we have come (in some ways).
The scene that got the most reaction from the audience was when Holly threw the cat out of the cab to fend for itself. Audience was not happy about which made me wonder what kind of reaction it got in 1961.
There’s also the conversation around what Holly’s (& Paul’s?) “profession” is. The movie (& Audrey) makes it seem so glamorous.
I love that film but totally agree with your comment. My sons (at the time in their early and mid teens) were squirming and angry throughout Rooney the scenes. In a world where young people are respectful and curious about others who aren’t like them, the Rooney character is an abomination. I would say there is zero chance either will watch it again.
Really digging into the samples today to pull out one of the handful of M. Micallef samples I was given years ago in an attempt to upsell me out of the (slightly) less expensive perfume I wanted into a line the store made more money off of. I sniffed one or two back then and was basically unimpressed with the line, so never sniffed the rest. (They did come in nice bottles with nice bags, though!)
This one is Pomelos. I get absolutely no citrus off of it, though. As I dabbed it, I got a whiff of dish soap. It’s not as strong now, but the note’s still there. Basically I’m getting lily of the valley with a slight undercurrent of Palmolive. I love lily of the valley, but am not overwhelmed by this perfume.
I just sniffed coming out of the washroom and thought, wow, I’m finally getting the citrus, which is weird that it’s coming this late into the drydown. Then I realized I have grapefruit hand soap in the washroom… 😀
That’s funny.?
I’m in Fragonard Etoile today, which comes across as a green floral on my skin. There’s some LOTV as well, and I’m floored that I like it. Truly, LOTV and I have never been friends, but this is gentle enough for me to wear. Lovely for spring, and we’re having spring like weather today, so it’s a good match.
I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!
I’m not good with LOTV either, but I do like the Guerlain one.
CP points for Déliria from L’Artisan. Found a sample of this as I was digging around and know I never tried it. I dumped what seemed like a lot on, but am getting very little from it. What little I get seems nice. I like this CP in that I have a bunch of samples I’ve never tried.
Warmer here and expecting warmer tomorrow, with possible rain. Which means I will need to get out on the deck to clear as much as I can before what’s left freezes over.
My husband saw Licorice Pizza yesterday on his way home and highly recommends it. I may head down to a discount matinee today to see Moonfall by myself, because I know he doesn’t want to see it and I enjoy “bad” movies. Day After Tomorrow is possibly the best of the worst.
Wow, totally forgot that whole series from L’Artisan!
Thanks for the good wishes for Bertie Wooster. He is 11 and has a few years ahead of him, I hope. The vet said kidney disease is common in older cats. The rain has stopped but it is cloudy and cool, so I am warming up in Angels’ Share.
Our elderly cat had kidney problems for quite a few years and was fine. She drank vast amounts of water, and consequently went through equally vast amounts of kitty litter, but was in good health for 5 or 6 years.
Thanks for that information, Gaynor. I do think if a kitty seems happy and like its kitty self, eating, playing, snoozing and using its box, those blood work numbers should be taken with a grain of salt.
I bet your sweet Bertie Wooster *does* have some years ahead, at only 11, and with your love and care, Foxbins!
My 13 year old cat has liver issues. Luckily my vet recommended a holistic approach. He has gained a pound since we started him on his current protocols six weeks ago. His appetite has improved and he seems more like himself. Although he misses our dog. It’s a huge relief Cats are resilient.
Happy Kitty is doing well, and continues to do so.
Ugh! Me too Deva. We got the news that the cat’s numbers were off the same day that we had to put the dog down. It was a horrible day. My poor husband still talks about her every day. I don’t think we’ll ever stop missing her.
SOTD = Amouage Attar Rose Aqor
Nice! Iris #2 from the Amouage Attar Discovery Set and I like it better than the Orris Wakan, despite me being an iris lover. Surprisingly though, it has not lasted as long as the Orris but nevertheless, it is lovely. I am looking forward to #4 with vanilla but of course who knows how that will turn out!
I will post the SOTD later so in the meantime, feast your eyes on this teapot, which is the exact opposite of the 8-ball teapot:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CaAZRBEucql/?utm_medium=copy_link
In other news, I was trying to come up with a professional word that means a meeting where the facilitator lost control of it (disorganized and many people were talking on top of another). I described it as “lively”. Believe me, I’ve had run-ins with this person to the point where I had to go to her manager twice (after having had conversations with the facilitator to no avail). How would you describe it without insulting or judging the facilitator?
Veered off target?
Along these lines, how about “gone off course”?
Unprofessional?
Unfocused?
Chaotic
Yes, love this.
Swirling?
I think lively is too positive, I like Shera’s choice of chaotic.
It seems right to me too.
I agree. Disorganized?
Lost precedence?
Family food fight?
I love to be a fly on the wall for that! ?
I would agree that “lively” sounds too positive. I would use unprofessional or unable to keep group on task. That’s my two cents worth.
Disorderly? Disruptive?
Unmanageable?
The most accurate description would be “went pear-shaped”. Perhaps “went off the rails” would work. But “chaotic” is more business-like.
? show? That’s probably not professional, though. Too bad. ?
Ha! That was my first thought.
Dumpster fire! LOL.
Gosh, I don’t even know what Iris #2 is! Rose Aqor was the one I sampled today. It’s simple good, just like Orris Wakan. Perhaps I’m spoiled by the beauty and complexity of Amouage Tribute Attar that anything “lesser” is not good enough?
https://www.instagram.com/p/CaBQAMwumpm/?utm_medium=copy_link
Great suggestions on how to describe the runaway meeting. I will need to keep the peace. I’ve recorded the suggestions for use at some point (well, except family food fight and ? show LOL).
Wore Lyric this morning. Will be commando for most of the day. On my way to pick up a puppy and I am very excited. Maybe tonight I will either wear Happy or vintage BaV.
Congratulations on the new puppy!
How exciting.
Yay for the new puppy!?
Congratulations on the new puppy!
Congratulations on your new pup and here’s hoping the “training” phase is quick!
Yay, new puppy!
Fun! Congrats!
Yay for a new furry friend!
Congrats on the new furry family member!
How fun! Enjoy your new baby!
Congrats, Dawn!
Lovely news!
Now I want a Magic 8 Ball *and* a Ouija Board while we’re at it. That’s just for starters!
I’m cp compliant in 4 samples: Secret de K by Kabeah (fresh strawberries and mellow geranium); Lily Cherie (wan ghost of a lily and hairspray); Flor y Canto (pleasant tuberose) and Rouge Saray (currently so ginormous that I’m studiously ignoring it).
Robin, what are your impressions of your sotd? I really wanted to love it but after a very promising start it disintegrated into the ubiquitous woody drydown that lingers for eons.
Pretty sure that at least one of my cousins had a Magic 8 Ball when I was a kid!
That’s pretty much the answer I gave above…very promising opening, did not hold my attention after about 20 minutes.
Our weather has picked up after the wet and windy weekend, but it doesn’t feel like summer. The cooler morning makes Tea for Two seem appropriate.
Sounds like an excellent way to spend the morning…
three more early mornings!
ll rose labo 31 lotion and fragrance today.
duh, rose cuir 31
Maybe FM Rose & Cuir?
Participating in CP today, wearing a sample of Memo’s Sintra. It’s quite nice, orange blossom + very sweet marshmallow. Happy to sample but nothing I need to pursue further!
I got a headstart on CP on Sunday when I sampled Salted Green Mango. That one started out as predicted, salty and fruity, inoffensive. It reminded of me of a salty/marine fresh scent I used to enjoy, Cucumber Baie by Fresh (anyone remember that?). But then it really changed in the drydown and got very perfumey. I kept sniffing around me trying to figure where this weird perfume scent was coming from, then realized it was me.
Ooh, that’s super exciting! I’m so happy for you! Tell us all about it. Hide your shoes!
Did you end up liking Salted Green Mango, or was it a miss?
It was a miss for me. I liked the opening, but it took a real 180 after a couple hours .
Aw, too bad!
I’m a day late, but Cucumber Baie was a love of mine too. Sadly, my large bottle went off and I decided not to seek out another for fear of the same thing happening.
Holding my breath until my weather people can pin down the track of the storm coming Wednesday/Thursday. Right now I am either getting an inch of snow or 1 foot! They will know more tonight.
I wanted to wear my Korres rose lotion, so I matched it with No.5 L’Eau.
Hope it’s good news on the snow and you smell good.
Hope you only get one inch!
You know I will be giving updates! Lol.
I should have been a meteorologist.
That sounds good.
Same here. The last storm went completely south of us and we got nothing. I think we are supposed to have mostly rain(?) We’ll see.
Wow. Those are some wildly divergent forecasts. Hoping you get the one you like!
Geez, I’m already tired of winter. We’ve had snow storms every weekend for the past month. I hope it misses your area completely!
You must smell lovely today!
I’ve been really enjoying Eau Premiere lately. B I also revisited No. 5 EDT recently as well. For the first time ever I thought that I might need a decant of the EDT. It’s really lovely. Have you tried the current iteration?
I’ve tried the edt from a tester at ulta. I don’t know No.5 well enough to say how it compares. My favorite is L’Eau and then edp. I tried really hard to love Premier but it never fails to bring on a headache. I’m not sure what note it is that does that.
Headaches aren’t worth trying a perfume again, no matter how well regarded it is.
So true!
I’ll go out on a limb and say I prefer the EDT to the EDP. Maybe you can get one of the twist and spray sets. My EDT must be at least 8 years old.
I’m hoping the snow skirts your location! And you smell wonderful of course!
I hope you get the inch!
Did you go on your half price candy run? I went to CVS and they were cleaned out, but the Easter stuff was out! I hauled bunny tails Whoppers and a marshmallow egg. I’m such a child. ?
Great haul! Lol.
I went and they only had the valentine suckers left.
Hermes Ambre Narguile. Amber is a favorite note but sometimes it can get too syrupy or thick. This is so lovely and light.
The Hermessence oils are so beautiful and so out of my price range. And then I have so many perfumes that how often would I really wear it?
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Hermes/Musc-Pallida-48134.html
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Hermes/Hermessence-Cardamusc-48133.html
So I keep dreaming of them.
Light Amber is the kind I like best too.
I just checked OilPerfumery’s site and while they have a few Hermes smell-alikes they have missed a golden marketing opportunity to try those nice-but-crazy-expensive oils.
I would spend $175 in a heartbeat but $400 is a stretch. Especially with sales tax on top of that! Absolutely gorgeous though. Just before Christmas was shopping and the SA put one of each on the back of my hands and my coat sleeves smelled amazing for two full months. Has just about dissipated now, but was seriously long lived. Definitely kept the dream alive!
Musc Pallida is so beautiful!
Wearing Vanilla Flash which I have not worn in years methinks.
So much rose in it! I had forgotten just how much.?
Interesting. I have to seek out the rose now.
You smell good! This is also why I think it meshed really well with Vanille Havane!
We’ve had rain today which was really welcome as it didn’t rain much in January.
I was in Noa today after a long time, I had forgotten how cosy the musk is, tonight I am in I Profumi di Firenze Hayan, a nice patchouli and vanilla from my new bottle but it wasn’t a blind buy.
You’ve mentioned Noa a few times before. Sounds like you missed it!
Thank you, yes, Noa is so versatile and affordable too.
No CP today, i had to wear Aromatics Elixir… Today i did not exercise at home, but cooked a tomatoey curry with turkey for tomorrows dinner and some oven baked parsnips with a herbed dip for this evening.
When parsnips are good, they are *very* good! I’m betting yours are.
2nd that.
Love parsnips but never cook them because nobody here will eat them but me.
You smell great!
I’m wearing Hiram Green Arbole today.
Hiram makes such well-crafted perfumes.
Commando still but will report in later. I can’t do the CP here because I’m still at my friends’ house and only brought four scents here. But I’m going home tomorrow and feel sure I can find some options then!
Hurrah for home!
Yes; yay for going home and I am so glad you PT has been working!
Oh that’s great news that you’re going home tomorrow!
Good news that you are homeward bound tomorrow!
Oh yay for going home! Kitties will be crawling all over you because they’ve missed you so! I hope you’re feeling stronger and more confident in balance and bearing. I’m assuming (maybe incorrectly) that you have been getting PT post-op, and hope you’re able to continue it for a few more weeks. ??
I’m coming home … don’t stash the bunny in your luggage!
Congrats on going home! I know it will feel so good to be back on your home turf.
In another perfume that it seems no one else loves–Penhaligon’s The Favourite. I smell damn good, and that is all I’m going to say about that. 🙂
I have not tried that, but have reviewed it before and thought it sounded nice.
Hey, say all you want!
Wearing my second-to-last decant of Fève Délicieuse. I can’t remember whether I accidentally bought it twice, or someone kindly passed their unwanted decant. It is pretty nice, but can probably face its eventually no longer being in my life.
It was unique when it first came out for sure!
Still testing Atelier des Ors Lune Feline. It does not convey my ideas about felines and moonlight, but I very much like it. I got the Fragrantica sample of the month travel spray, and yes, it has a few gold flakes in it. I am not thinking “full bottle” but I think I will enjoy having it around. Beautiful day here; birdies singing.
I was surprised by Lune Feline. I was expecting it to be sweeter than it actually is.
That could be an interesting CP! Wear a perfume that feels feline to you.
Sample of the day is Oud Minerale from Tom Ford which is more flinty than oud to my nose.
Went to the dentist a few hours ago to have cavities filled and it feels like there are a couple of spots where the anesthesia still hasn’t worn off. Hate that feeling
I hope your mouth is back to normal soon. I too hate that feeling, it’s very disconcerting.
Ouch! It probably tastes kind off anesthetic bitter!
I have been wearing Hilde Soliani Hot Milk day and night…. Love it. I know two things for sure: that I never want to run out of it and that I want it to be my everyday perfume.
Wow, a signature!
CP compliant in two more of the Dusita samples from the discovery set: Le Pavillon D’Or and Melodie de L’ Amour.
Pavillon is fig leaf rather than fruit, with orris and honeysuckle giving it a touch of florals without it becoming a full-on floral perfume, especially once they mellowed in the drydown. I also get mint, olibanum, and sandalwood. Everything feels restrained and comes together beautifully.
Melodie is tuberose and gardenia, on the green side of the spectrum. If I think about it, I can recognize the LOTV adding to the greenness. Jasmine came out later on. I thought a Dusita gardenia with honey would be a can’t miss for me, but I’m not loving it the way I anticipated. The greenness made it too sharp for my liking, and I’m not getting honey. I’m slightly worried that I’ve become anosmic to honey bc I had trouble smelling last week too.
Drinking the last of my Vahdam cinnamon chai.
Today was definitely a good day for a cinnamon tea! Still kind of raw outside.
This yo-yo weather is nuts
Yep! And more crazy to come, if the long term forecasts are right.
Posting a little late today. My computer was acting up for a bit, and I had to restart it. Not sure what was going on, but it seems to have been resolved.
We had a contractor in today for drywall repairs. He was finished after 3 hours today. He’ll be back on Thursday and Friday to finish the work. I’ve seen drywall repairs done correctly before… you have to wait for the compound to dry the first time, do touch up after that, and then sand things down when everything has dried through. That last part can get really messy.
Surprisingly, scaredy-cat Spooky came out of hiding midway thru today’s repairs! I would have figured she would have stayed cowering behind the couch. Instead, Teflon kitty took over scaredy-cat duties.
SOTD = Youth Dew Amber Nude, from the decant stash. Not the first time I have tried this. I needed a quick grab and go scent this morning. Wish I would have grabbed a bottle of this when it was available. But I didn’t care for YDAN at the time. The maturing of my perfume palate, I guess.
I hope the end product of your home repairs make it worth the inconvenience. .
It will be worth it for Mr. Jalapeno to quit complaining about it! However, next up will be paint. Dunno when that will happen.
Glad the wall repairs went well, cats can be unpredictable.
Wish I could send you one of my unloved bottles. Maybe when I go to France, I could post from there.
Of course, I found a few more spots that should have been dealt with after the contractor had left for the day. Sigh. ?
Oh well, I can tell him about those on Thursday.
Looks like you are dealing with a bunch of home stuff! Have you picked out a washer yet? Maybe I’m behind in your saga.
Nope, you’re not behind. I figure since I’m the person using the clothes washer, I will need to see them first hand. So that means a trip or two to a big box store for a look-see. I’m compiling a list of models to keep an eye out for.
Do you consider Lowe’s big box? They have a good selection although it may depend which one you visit.
Yep. Home Depot and Lowe’s. Best Buy has priced itself out of consideration.
Glad your computer issue resolved itself. I can tell you on good authority that a laptop can’t be Super-glued back together. (The contractors that handle IT hardware for us at work tried that last week on my laptop. I am not making that up.)
FWIW: I think you smelled fantastic in YDAN.
Thanks! It was one of those transient, annoying things that just happens every so often. Because computers.
Seriously gobsmacked that your IT contractors did that! The only thing worse I can think of is if they would have tried using duct tape!
Ours did not superglue. I was in the office yesterday so how could the network run 4x slower than on my rinky dinky DSL. I opened a ticket and included my woes with Outlook. I was told oh we know about the issue with Outlook. They also had the audacity to send me a survey to rate them on their effectiveness. I have been too busy to respond but believe you me when I do, they get a big fat zero!
Drywall repair is an artform
We shall see what it looks like on Friday…
I had a doc. apt. this morning so nothing untested for me today. SOTD was Helmut Lang.
Yeah it’s a bad idea to try a mystery sample right before heading to the doctor’s office! Hope that it went well.
I’m the same way especially for going to the office…no time to scrub off!
Late to the party in Le Lion from a decant. Splits are such a fun way to try things. I would like a bottle of this to fall in my lap but am not sure I would spend the money on a FB. And then again, who knows where this “testing” week will take me???
This is why we test / sample ???…
And I believe I have you to thank for said “decant.” You enabler you!
Nothing new today; Cuir Mauresque got me through a long day. I know I have samples that I’ve never tried for the rest of the week. Just have to unearth them.
A little late, but here’s a song that sort of, kind of fits:
https://youtu.be/x7bKZtoTwy8
I’m amazed that these two artists were on stage together in NYC!
PSA- not sure anyone cares but me. LuckyScent now has Mohur Extrait back in stock. $450.00 for the same burgundy bottle! I haven’t ordered it yet- have to give my savings account a while to get used to the idea, although money has been stashed there for just this purpose for quite some time. 🙂
