The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 6 January 2022 5 Comments

"Unleash the rose" is Diptyque's latest collection, created in collaboration with LA floral artist Maurice Harris (of Bloom & Plume). The new Eau Rose Eau de Parfum (shown below the jump) features notes of litchi, artichoke and camomile, and the collection includes limited edition packaging for Eau Rose Eau de Toilette and Eau Rose Eau de Parfum, plus 4 candles: Roses, Litchi, Artichaut, and Camomille ($76 each for 190g).

The Eau de Parfum ("At its heart, the new eau de parfum Eau Rose brings together the most unexpected accords naturally present in the rose: chamomile, artichoke and litchi. As an illustration, Maurice Harris has created a bouquet in its image – one spiced up with a touch of extravagance. A delicate flower or a juicy fruit here, a green vegetable there... Together, chamomile, artichoke, litchi and rose bloom in a vegetal profusion of whimsical beauty") was developed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, and is $190 for 75 ml.

The limited edition packaging for the Eau de Toilette, $150 for 100 ml:

    Just ordered the Camomille candle.
I love everything Camomille so I think I might love this.
Also the vessel and packaging is beautiful.
Is is on all the candles tho.
I am very intrigued by Artichoke coz it has the iris note.
But the candles are pretty expensive, so I only ordered one. But they it’s soon my birthday so I could maybe convince myself to order it at that time ?

I did not look again today, but yesterday, stores in the US all had them all EXCEPT artichoke. Don’t know why.

        That’s odd.
I haven’t looked at the US site but I hear that they have some of the city candles for sale there?
One store in my town only carry the new roses candle from that collection (it only have a smaller selection of Diptyque) and the new perfumes.
It’s weird to call them new as it is only the packing that is new (except the new edp version)
I have no idea how this collection will sell. I thought they would sell out quick, as the Xmas collection, but it was there for a great while before it was sold out on their website, but I see that you can still get it in some shops.

First time I ever saw artichoke as a note. Can asparagus be far behind?
