Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privee ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 December 2021 4 Comments

Givenchy will introduce Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée, a new fragrance for men, in February. Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée is a flanker to 2017's Givenchy Gentleman.

Gentleman Reserve Privée is a woody floral inspired by whiskey, and was developed in collaboration with a master distiller. The notes include bergamot, iris and ambery woods. (I will try to update with a more complete list when I can.)

Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée will be available in 60 and 100 ml.

Update: The notes for the woody floral amber include bergamot, whisky, chestnut, orris, benzoin, cedar and vetiver. The brand description...

A heady whisky-inspired fragrance where floral sophistication meets woody depths. This rare eau de parfum blends the olfactory worlds and unique savoir-faire of two master perfumers and a whisky master distiller.

The sensuality of ambery wood is faceted by luminous ethereal iris for an utterly addictive, heady duet. Infused with smooth natural whisky absolute, this fragrance has been crafted in grasse using aromatic barley from refined scottish distillery.

The amber-toned perfume, evoking the intense hue of whisky itself, is encased within the polished, pure forms of a bottle echoing an elegant hip flask. Givenchy gentleman eau de parfum Reserve Privée embodies the ultimate in timeless elegance and refinement.

    Whiskey? I’m in!
I really like the first one (very gentleman-y and office-safe), the others were too loud.

It does sound really nice, and worth a try at least.

I don’t notice Givenchy, or men’ s scents in general very much, but that tasteful photo, with the iris, caught my attention. I will put this on my list to sniff….hubby detests alcohol on several different levels, but I am interested to see what this really smells like.
