It's Hump Day, Evolution Day and in the US, it's Thanksgiving Eve, aka Drinksgiving / Blackout Wednesday — be safe out there, folks! What fragrance are you wearing?
More community project points for me, in Le Labo Lys 41.
Reminder: 11/26 will be Hide My Credit Card Friday. In honor of Black Friday / Buy Nothing Day, wear a fragrance (presumably from a sample) that you're itching to buy but don't own yet. (This is a repeat from 2017; suggested by Lovestosmellgood.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Slumberhouse Mond, for a day spent baking pies. 🙂
and do you love Mond? I am dithering.
I do. If you like Ambre Narguilé and other Slumberhouse scents like Kiste, you will probably like it.
I like Kiste and Jeke. more trouble ahead….
Be right over to help you eat, I mean cook ?? pies
🙂
Sounds like a perfect day!
I’m making a tart! Baking twins..
Happy baking!
Good morning.
Sotd is BR540 extrait. Woke up feeling crummy. Hopefully I’ll feel better soon.
Currently having a mug of chamomile tea.
Hope you feel better soon!
Ugh, so sorry! Get better.
Get well soon!
Feel better! You’re on the right track, anyway — I find chamomile tea always helps.
I hope you feel better.
Hope you get your sparkle back soon
Hope you can rest up and feel better soon!
In an actual eighties men’s aromatic fougère today, Lauder for Men, and I think the reason I have almost a full bottle left is that I don’t really like it all that much. I should! It looks on paper like something I’d love: it has real oakmoss, it has that eighties feel, but it doesn’t really work for me and I couldn’t even say why. I’d rather be wearing Krizia Uomo, and after I shower, perhaps I will.
You are the opposite of the CP!
Purely by accident!
I’m racking my brain thinking of what I would wear for the CP this week. There’s nothing I really want to buy right now, because I’ve been dutifully ploughing through my samples, and I actually found things that I didn’t even know I had — not just forgot, but honestly didn’t remember ever having. I had no idea that I even owned a 4-mL commercial sample of Chanel No. 5 (from back when Chanel used to do those huge 3- and 4-mL spray vials of everything: I have similarly large samples of Antaeus, Allure Pour Homme, and Allure Sensuelle).
Oh great idea. I am VERY sure I have many samples I don’t know I have. And, many I am sure I have but cannot find.
Today’s Vilhelm is 125th & Bloom. It started off strong and to my nose a bit smokey/tobacco. Now it seems to have settled into a nice rose. I’m not sure I’ll want a full bottle but I could see myself happily using up the sample. Another point in its favor is that it’s been 2 hours and at least I can still smell it!
At least for that! How many samples are in this set? I think my two favorites are Don’t Tell Jasmine and Purple Fig, but honestly can’t remember lasting power on either.
There are six samples in the set. The ones I have left to try are room service and morning chess. I’m intrigued by the purple fig and might have to obtain a sample. Jasmine tends to make me sneeze though…
Then you really don’t need Don’t Tell Jasmine!
A short work day today, yay, then long weekend.
A bottle of Gallivant Naples arrived at my house yesterday. Will open after shower.
I may go to Luckyscent on Friday or Saturday. I have only gone twice in person over the past 20 years. But I feel like some in person testing is due.
Be sure and report back ?
count on it, ringthing!
It’s been several years since my last visit too, but it’s a 3 hour drive each way so it’s rare I feel that motivated. I just tried Naples yesterday, it was just okay on me. None of the scents from that house seem to work on me.
I like Bukhara although it still doesn’t remind of being in Bukhara.
its not a great commute to the orginal or the new one in DTLA.
My gas tank is full @ 4.99 a gallon, see how I feel about traffic.
Petrol here is about $8.20 a gallon ( though we buy it in litres) so it makes good perfume maths to go to Luckyscent! (doesn’t it?!)
If you do go, I hope you have a great time!
I just learned that Luckyscent has a shop here in NYC called Scent Bar NYC. How did I miss this?
Enjoy your day of sniffing!
I don’t know. Maybe pandemic thingy distracted you.
Can’t use that as an excuse since it opened in 2018!
I’m wearing 10 Corso Como, from a splitmeet decant, of which there is very little left, probably because I so rarely wear it and it is evaporating. I really like it, but for some reason I rarely think of it.
Hide my credit card
Falling fast for Delina Exclusif
Stay warm! It’s frosty outside
Awww. You have a crush!
I am rather smitten and getting lots of compliments on our union ? ?
?
You belong together.
Sampling FM Synthetic Jungle again because I love the tangled green opening, but all too soon it becomes just tomato vines and wet weeds, like a September garden. I love that smell but don’t really want to wear it. It’s all gone in a couple hours.
That makes me suddenly interested…
Hi all, happy Hump day! My SOTD is L’Arte di Gucci EdP, by Gucci.
I learned something new today. Mr. Smokeytoes informed me of the time Bob Dylan called Carrie Fisher for assistance naming a perfume. Her response was classic: “Ambivalence, for the scent of confusion. Arbitrary, for the man who doesn’t give a shit how he smells, and Empathy — feel like them and smell like this.” 😯
We’re headed to a friend’s for Thanksgiving tomorrow, I’m making a Maple Butternut squash w/ roasted brussels sprouts as a side dish (recipe below).
https://juliasalbum.com/maple-butternut-squash-roasted-brussels-sprouts-pumpkin-seeds-and-cranberries/?fbclid=IwAR2fRM1kdxb88xrKzfu9YaYESdjYkcM-s1U6k1_TvpC81tvEPkvsud6vPRQ
I miss Carrie Fisher. She was one unique gal.
Maple syrup on anything makes me happy.
If you like Whiskey Sours….Bourbon + Fresh squeezed lemon juice + really good maple syrup = an amazing cocktail.
Indeed! Sounds amazing.
Oh, thanks for the Whiskey Sour recipe! I will give that a try tomorrow!
Thanks for the link to that recipe. It looks so pretty and sounds wonderful. I may try one of the other Brussels sprouts recipes given on that page.
Very late getting here, but WHY was he asking for advice on naming a perfume?
In my sample of Tam Dao – for CP points.
I work half a day, then I will get started on cooking. Yay!
I’m standing in line at the bakery. I meant to arrive before 7 AM, but forgot to set my alarm. Woke up at 7:10 and realized what happened. Rushed out the door, and then I took a wrong turn and was driving in the wrong direction, blah blah blah. Made it here by 7:30–30 people in line. Arghh. So I am freezing and waiting. . . No perfume yet, but I’m thinking Jicky ?
Ugh! Hope you get through the line quickly.
Sorry about the long wait. We have a bakery here where there’s always a line, but worth it for their tasty Kouign-amann.
Jicky sounds like the perfect choice.
Kouign-amann! To. Die. For.
Salty. And. Sweet!!!
Oh man, I love kouign-amann!
So delicious!
Oh man, I just googled QA. Looks delish! I found a recipe that calls for grating the frozen butter, so I might try it sometime. Thanks for enlightening me! ☀️
Argh! Poor you. Jicky is a great choice. Hope your day goes well.
Brrr!
Jicky is an oldie but goodie and actually rather perfect on a chilly morning!
I think . . . dare I write it (Lovestosmellgood, cover your eyes)?
Whispers! . . . I prefer Jicky over Shalimar. It now my third favorite Guerlain, after L’heure Bleue and Mitsouko.
I can absolutely see this!
I hope you are at home, warm, and eating a tasty baked good!
Am now!
In “I can spritz as much as I like now” Trefle Pur, for another day. While the vat of LV hasn’t tempted me, the idea of a crystal decanter sure has!
You smell wonderful!
Wearing Clinique Happy today. Just want something that isn’t demanding and inoffensive. Was wearing no 5 edp before my shower. Gearing up for a very busy day at work today. Hopefully there will be some good deals this weekend from Ulta or Luckyscent.
Taking CP points in Rose Ikebana. I love that grapefruit opening, but I always talk myself out of it because I can only smell any of it for about an hour.
Robin, Lys 41 has been on my list for a long time, too!
Very late getting here, but it will stay on my list forever…I do love it but I don’t think it is worth the money!
No SOTD yet, but may go for CP points in Lyric. (No one needs to hide my credit cards, though — I don’t know when I’d have that much extra cash.)
I need to start cooking around the margins of work today. This is always the problem with celebrating U.S. Thanksgiving in another country — have to make it work while working. That said, I could probably just make stuffing for dinner and Ockeghem tween would be happy. (Actually, we all might be happy…well, not Mr. Ockeghem, who wants his apple pie.)
Maybe he should learn to make it for you ?
THAT would be a disaster. 😀 He can make breakfast and he can do a basic meat and vegetable dinner. Pastry is beyond him though!
Oh heck, just buy a frozen pie shell! 😉
I hope the timing isn’t too stressful. Just stuffing sounds like a great meal to me.
Love, love stuffing. Of course – carbs girl here!
I’m on an Iris streak and today I am wearing Parle Moi Perfums’ Iris Tatoo. (Yesterday I wore Maison Crivelli’s Iris Malikhan,) Tomorrow I will wear Memo’s Sintra or Winter Palace. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!
You smell so good in Orris Tattoo! Coincidentally, I was thinking of wearing Winter Palace today but wore something else instead.
What did you wear?
I ended up with Ortigia Sicilia Ambra Nera.
Hiding my credit card isn’t working for me, friends — I succumbed to the lure of the limited edition bottle of Wood Sage and Sea Salt yesterday. Well, my small bottle is running low, and someone needed to buy me a Thanksgiving present, so it only made sense to impulse-buy, right?? ? Anyway, you can probably guess my SOTD.
Gifts to self don’t count …
I really wish you would write a perfume manual / buying guideline/ spraying instructions / thunking style guide one day
THIS!
So true. Would love a pocket-sized guide to all Hajusuurisms.
I need this in my life.
LOL, I’m up for this too!
Hey, you never know! I’ve always wanted to be a Mystery writer…
Not impulse! Being prepared!
You and hajusuuri are true friends. To me. Not so much to my wallet. ?
You did the right thing. Well done. And you should probably reward yourself for doing the right thing again, in a few days..
?
Ooooh, that’s a good one!
With the supply chain the way it is, you can’t count on being able to immediately replace your small bottle when it’s finished. You were just being prudent and thinking ahead.
Brilliant, sistine. And so correct.
So true, so true. I’m beginning to feel virtuous. ?
Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday. I’m feeling better today, though not 100%. It took me a few days to completely bounce back from my second covid shot, so no surprise that I’m reacting this way to the third.
Husband is making the turkey brine, and I will start on a cake soon — a lemon/raspberry experiment, wish me luck, I can never resist fiddling with a recipe.
No scent yet, I am expecting a lovely package from ShopFranceInc later today…!
Good luck. I don’t know how you guys manage Thanksgiving meals and then Christmas dinners just a month later. So much work!
The good news is that we are going to friends’ homes for both Thanksgiving and Xmas. So I usually only have to prepare and bring one or two dishes. But for Thanksgiving we deep-fry the turkey (soooooo delicious) and we have a tradition where every guest brings their own turkey to take home with them. Once the oil is hot, might as well cook a bunch of birds! Typically we do 4-5 turkeys. TONS of leftovers for all.
Sounds so good. Yum.
Enjoy the arrival of a scent package! Always fun.
I’m very happy to hear you’re feeling better.
“Lemon raspberry experiment” sounds good to me. Hope it turns out to your liking!
Oooh, a package from France, how exciting!
Hi all!
1) Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to you all for your congratulations yesterday! I really appreciate it and it made me feel wonderful!
2) Yes! I got the IT job (as a contractor, for now- but I still get benefits and such) at the FinTech company. In addition to the day to day operations there are some intriguing possibilities with cybersecurity and code based networking, so it’s a double great opportunity! And it’s remote, so my commute will still take 30 seconds!
3) THIS IS A PERFUME BLOG.
SOTD: Ambery Saffron. It’s not QUITE in keeping with the challenge, as a I own a full bottle, but it’s way cheaper- and BETTER, IMO- than BR540, which it is a dupe of.
4) I am off to Eugene to have Thanksgiving/Indigenous Day with friends, and then BACK into the madness at the hardware store!
You are so clever. Glad you got a great job without having to undergo all those nonsense personality tests.
Right? Who knew- just have conversations with the people, talk about the skill set and expectations, and you might find the right people????
I am so excited for you! Well done. But I guess that means that your trip to the Bay to help me redo my kitchen on the cheap will now have to be postponed. What? You don’t recall making me that promise? Yeesh.
*checks diary* I….I didn’t write that down, so sorry!
(but for real if you have questions I may be able to help)
Congratulations!
Good for you! What a feeling, right? Wishing you a smooth onboarding and lots of success! Fintech is super hot; crazy funding & valuations happening so hold on to your hat.
*clutches beanie*
Woo hoo! Have a great celebration. You deserve it, and how wonderful to be able to celebrate your good news with friends!
And you have a great celebration as well! ? I feel like jumping for joy!
Congratulations!
Thank you so much!
Didn’t get to express my congratulations yesterday, I’m excited on your behalf.
Oh gosh, thank you!
Congratulations on the new job and the appealing commute!
Ngl, the commute is golden!
Congratulations! So glad to hear you got the job!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations, you deserve it!
Can’t wait to start cooking & baking! Of course, I only have 2 dishes to prepare vs. our host which does the lion’s share of the work, but will be fun.
SOTD: Still in Akro Dark and loving it! Would def like a full bottle of this one.. wonder if they’ll be doing any Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales.
Have a wonderful day and I hope everything goes well with the baking.
Aww.. thank you!
There are some pretty nice GWPs on LuckyScent.
Thank you!
Have you been to their NYC store?
I went there October 2019 and was put off by the SA. I realize I have certain expectations but puhleeze check your disdain at the door for working in a perfume boutique.
How weird. How can you have disdain for working at a beautiful scent shop?
Playing the CP in Winter Palace , a sample from the bag of goodies that travelled the world , via Gaynor. This perfume, unlike the others on my list, is available in NZ abut I think it’s $450 or something like that. So, of course, I do what I always do: instead of buying the one expensive perfume I love I will slowly purchase several less expensive, less ‘loved’ scents and by the end of the year I will have four perfumes, $450 spent, and still no Winter Palace. And that’s the perfume lesson I never learn, and could apply to many other things I love.
Oh dear, forgot: Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! (Thursday here) Have the happiest of Thanksgiving (or not) eves and days.
I think that is the sum and total of the human condition. From jam to climate change.
Isn’t it just?
Winter Palace is out of stock in many locations and I heard that there’s a price increase coming up in February 2022. On the other hand, maybe it will go on sale because of a possible bottle change.
I think so. FrangranceNet is offering it at a good discount.
Ack! You may just have cost me some money.
Yes. I did it. Friday was going to be the last gasp of my Winter Palace decant for the CP, but now…I will have to find something else to covet. I must say that very few fragrances have grabbed me with this kind of tenacity. And every time I wear it, Mr. Skal tells me I smell good. So now it has become my early (and probably only, since we will be traveling right after the holiday) Christmas gift!
Oh, I am so glad you bought it. Enjoy it!
I feel very powerful. Whaaahaahaaa. . .
Just checked on the NZ site, $479 for 75ml. I just can’t do it
I could buy it off Ali Express for NZ $130 ( but they don’t ship perfume to NZ).
That price is insane. It would be hard for any perfume to measure up to it!
I don’t know. I mean, I might spend that on a pair of boots and only wear them 10 times a year whereas….who knows? Anyway, I’m not buying it. I know that if I bought it I would wear it daily for a month, use 20ml in total and then have the bottle sitting around for ten years. There really is no “one” for me. I am not that person.
Yikes. I hope whatever is going on at Memo with price hikes/new bottles brings the price down in NZ! I ended up paying US$203 before tax — so my single most expensive FB purchase ever.
I tend to be good at that as well, I have such a hard time at passing up bargains, even if it is something I like but do not absolutely love. Mind you I have inadvertently stumbled on some perfumes that turned out to become great loves in the end.
Still I have become better at “saving up” for a fragrance I adore, even if it is expensive, especially since I have so much now that I don’t add as much.
I hope you get your Winter Palace in the End!
I get a kind of perverse pleasure from not buying the perfumes I want. I think it’s because they can remain ‘ideal’ rather than get tainted by reality
I just love your reasoning on this.
Found some of the little decants I thought were missing so am in Bengale Rouge to feel snuggly. Fits the CP well.
The husband was complaining of a cough and feeling like he had a MAN COLD yesterday. He went to bed before I did, and he was noisy – coughing and groaning. So, I decided my best course was to sleep in the guest room. (I’m a horrible wife…I’m more amused than than sympathetic to his discomfort. Such drama….)
I no longer automatically think is that a COVID cough, COVID sneeze etc.
I hope he feels well enough for Thanksgiving festivities!
I don’t think this is a COVID thing at all. Frankly, it seems a minor cold. No fever, just a bit of a cough…which could also be due to dry air and weather changes.
I’m baking an oatmeal cookie crust for a maple tart and relaxing with some tea and a sleeping dog. SOTD is Earth Mother.
Why is it that I only have great hair days when I’m not going to see any humans?
“Why is it that I only have great hair days when I’m not going to see any humans?”
Perfect Lament!
Where is the hubby? Snark ?
He’s doing a 25 hour experiment in the lab, so it’s just me, the dog and my great hair. On the plus side, I got to be a heavy spritzer with my Earth Mother!
A maple tart with an oatmeal cookie crust!?! That sounds amazing, and super New England-y. 🙂
Oo, more information about the maple tart, please! And with you on the hair thing — I’m guaranteed Botticelli-esque hair loveliness right before bed on a Tuesday, and a tumbleweed on the weekends or on date nights.
Me too–I’m all classic curls that frame my face nicely at bedtime, after a day of finger in the socket frizz for hours of Zoom meetings and a dinner party.
Your tart sounds delicious!
Trying Lubin Jardin Rouge today. It is an exuberant black-current-pink-pepper-rose and I love it. SHOCKING, I know, that I love a rose frag from Lubin. 🙂 It won’t steal the crown from Grisette, but it will wear it magnificently when Grisette needs to take a break. I have no idea why I waited so long to try it. Hiding my credit card is going to be futile for this one.
(I’m chuckling to myself about this “discovery” because it feels like another “discovery” that I made recently: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo book series is very entertaining. I’m only a decade or so late to that party.)
Drinking chocolate puer and getting psyched to make various stuffings and a chocolate caramel pie for tomorrow. And very happy that from now on, the drive to my parents house for the meal is 7 minutes, not 3+ hours with holiday traffic!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate, and love and remembrance to those who observe the Day of Mourning.
Thursday here, but actually my Friday because I’m taking a day’s leave tomorrow – yay! I looked ahead a few weeks ago, saw nothing in my calendar that I couldn’t move and grabbed the day.
Another sunny morning, off to work in Guerlain’s Bois d’Armenie.
You smell great! Enjoy your long weekend.
Thanks, everyone, for the support yesterday. The crisis that needed diplomacy was resolved astonishingly quickly, so I had time for a small g&t before dinner. 🙂
Commando today, so far, but we’ve been invited to spend the evening with friends, so I will choose…something. Spent the morning cleaning out the fridge — as in removing the shelves and drawers and washing them. Got through the main part but not the door. We have ordered a takeout Thanksgiving from a local restaurant and just picked it up — really pleased with the value for money and looking forward to just reheating tomorrow. Both Mr. Skal and I are deliriously glad not to be cooking the whole meal (I will make one side dish Without Which it is Not a Holiday, but it’s an easy one). One friend will come as a guest, so it is low stress all around — except that our dining room table has become my auxiliary office space, and clearing it is my next task.
To all of you who are cooking and baking for tomorrow, your posts made my mouth water, I may have to make crêpes for tomorrow.
In Dia during the day, effortlessly elegant perfume, this evening I am wearing Alahine which reminds me of another amber but I can’t quite remember which one.
Love Dia!
I find that it is an easy wear compared to some of the other Amouage perfumes.
Earning CP points in Cire Trudon Bruma from a sample, wouldn’t mind a full bottle. I’ll probably never get one though, I’ve got this particular fragrance category well covered, but if someone would gift me a bottle I would probably wear it a lot.
I have Bruma, it’s lovely. And those Trudon bottles are so satisfyingly hefty!
Super duper late to the party because I got up and then went back to bed. Now it’s just about noon my time. Not my plan, since tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US and my fridge is empty. I will be forced to face the holiday hordes at the grocery! Ugh ?
Wearing the soothing and comforting SHL 777 Taklamakan for its mysterious Xanax-like ability to soothe and calm. Thanks to a very generous NSTer! You know who you are! If you’re reading, this gem has saved my sanity on many occasions and I can’t say “Thank You” enough. ?
Hope everyone makes it back from the grocery unscathed today!
I thought I’d be clever and avoid the day-before-Thanksgiving grocery store hordes by getting my shopping done early yesterday morning, and walked bang into the middle of — dun dun dunnnn — senior discount day. No disrespect to my elders, but my word, it was a madhouse.
LOL!
Yep, madhouse here too, but everyone was very polite and well behaved, which was nice to experience.
I went out at 7pm last night… it was mercifully quiet. But I’m not going back until next week to Costco!
I thought I had gotten everything days ago but of course I forgot a few things so I sent the hubby today ha! He came back cursing me.
When he’s chowing down on all the good stuff you created, he’ll be praising you to high heaven, so it will even out in the end. ?
I’m in Le Labo Labdanum 18.
I bought the shower gel of that and enjoy it a lot.
Not doing anything for Thanksgiving, and I am so thankful for that! I think I will have steak and I’ll make something with custard for dessert. Maybe little baked tarts, they would also be good for breakfast. I’m wearing Champagne de Bois.
I’ll join you in doing nothing for Thanksgiving. A burger might be in order.
I’m joining both of you, but going south in the culinary department with a chicken and cheese quesadilla ??
T-Rex gets the chicken skin, making her a happy little doggo. Happy Solo Thanksgiving!
Yummm for custard tarts.
In Drole de Rose and hankering for another OC classic, Passage d”Enfer…
Such cheer on here today, thank you all for the good mood! And good wishes to anyone who is not feeling well, secure or able to cope with much at present. My SOTD was Armani Rose Milano, an expensive airport impulse-buy on a nerve-wracking journey this summer. I thought I’d made a mistake when I wore it first, at it was just so bland, but I poured it on this morning and it is very pretty and good natured when used in vast quantities ? Wearing a smaller amount of Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile and by golly even a small amount is still a lot! All the flowers today ☺️
Thank you for your kind thoughts, you smell wonderful!
I’m wearing You or Someone Like You from a recent sample set. It’s light and easy to wear, but not something I crave. Oddly enough I don’t feel any particular perfume lemmings at the moment. I’m being inundated with Black Friday offers from jewelry stores or independents and have all sorts of cravings there, though they’re all too ridiculous to dream of fulfilling. Tomorrow I’m having a good friend over and am making a somewhat traditional meal but everything is out of a bag or box. I’m sure it will still be good even if I earn no special gourmet points. I’m even making very traditional green bean casserole (at least with fresh green beans).
Enjoy your day tomorrow!
Happy Thanksgiving Eve, to all! I’m in Le Lion today, as well as yesterday. Will move on tomorrow haha I’ve just been enjoying it so much.
Had a great time with my girlfriends last weekend. We ate at a fun place in Denver one night then drove out to Estes Park and spent the day there around the Stanley Hotel and also had some great drinks and a meal there. Such a beautiful place!
Now our friends from New Mexico arrive tonight. Excited to see them but will try have to try to keep Nacho chill. He’s fine when it’s just us but when company is here he gets a little too exited so they gave us some doggy downers just in case haha. He’s healing well and got his stitches out today but is still supposed to be calm- resting, no jumping or running etc.
Le Lion is a great rut to be in! 🙂 So glad you’re getting in some quality time with friends — all sounds super fun!
That sounds like so much fun! I love Estes Park. Our dog also gets really excited when people come over – here’s hoping Nacho can chill!
SOTD = Ortigia Sicilia Ambra Nera EDP
Beautiful resinous yet light amber perfume! And the bottle has great drawings and I have a wooden leopard that goes with it.

So I was looking up air fryer recipes for donuts and I have all the (pandemic-induced) ingredients except the donut mold to stamp out the donuts; I even have the pandemic hand-held mixer. It is available on Amazon but I was determined to buy it locally and … none were to be found. I suppose I will need to breakdown and support Amazon ?. I decided to get a salmon sashimi for tonight and that’s what I’ll have for dinner tonight!
Lillyjo – Target has great sales on air fryers! I went today because my mini Keurig is acting up and at some point, I will be retiring it. I got a bright red one as a replacement.
I’m looking forward to sharing a meal with my sisters, brothers-in-law and nephew tomorrow. I’ll have the Turkey Dinner and my only decision is if I will have alcohol with the meal – there are worse problems ?.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Cute leopard! I have a little Ortigia Sicilia dish with a leopard on it, but haven’t tried any of their fragrances.
I need to make donuts with my Little Biscuit sometime — I remember making them with my dad when I was his age, and they were (and still are) the best donuts ever. And no one around here makes little custard-filled bombolini, which I basically crave every waking moment…
Of course I went off to check on a recipe for bombolini and it looked good!
I love how you call your som your Little Biscuit!
You know I almost never shop at Target. Mainly because I hate their parking lot. You are giving me incentive to check out the website though. I found a similar one to yours at kohl’s and will check it out in person next week.
Great! It’s a game changer for me because I was getting restless with my meals … not really, but pan-frying, microwaving and boiling can only get you so far.
Hi everybody and happy Thanksgiving Eve! I hope everyone is enjoying their evening and their company.
I’m in Cristalle Eau Verte, from a mondo swap earlier this year. Love this, start to finish.
My prep is nearly done, just a wipe down of the kitchen counters and get the ingredients out for making a pumpkin cake tomorrow morning. We’re having a couple of family members over tomorrow, and I’m a bit concerned about the weather. It’s going to rain all day long.
Also concerned about my stepson and his wife. They took a big car trip to Iowa/Wisconsin/Michigan to see the Great Lakes and hopefully the northern lights. The weather didn’t cooperate with seeing any lights, but they loved the scenery. Well, they tested positive for Covid yesterday and still have a full day of car travel with two small kids before they get home. They are vaxxed and feeling only minor symptoms, so I’m crossing my fingers they get home without too much misery. ?? ?
Big vibes for your stepson and family to make it home safe!
Crossing my fingers for your family!
Echoing healing thoughts for your family 🙂
Yikes! Healing thoughts go to your stepson and family!
The latest of the late!
I wore Samsara today, and ran my tail off all day. Managed to stop at ulta and pick up a few more presents for my daughter.
Hoping to get a good night’s sleep tonight. I will need it to wrestle with the #$%@ turkey tomorrow ??
Good evening!!
It is hard to even tell what am I really wearing today… got home from work, took a shower, spritzed like 6 sprays of Love in Black to give it full power LOL and… come out of my bedroom to find two House of Sillage packages waiting!! Immediately I looked for room anywhere on my body away from Love in Black so I can try all these new travel sprays and samples… I am wearing Love in Black plus 4 different (new) House of Sillage scents ?
Sorry I did this again, posted under somebody else’s post – so sorry about that, Lillyjo!!
No problem!
Enjoy your new perfumes!
Good luck with the turkey!
Good luck tomorrow! You can do it! ?
