Donatella, Our Lady of Perfumed Plenty,1, does have other responsibilities (making Channing Tatum's wildest dreams come true, designing for Fendaci), but she hasn't forgotten her quarterly drop-in to hear the confessions of her flock. She'd very much like to know what you bought in the 3rd quarter (July, August and September) of 2021.
Note that if you have javascript disabled, you won't be able to vote in the poll, but you can still record your purchases in the comments.
My purchases...
Donatella hasn't quite given up on me, but she's getting close. I bought nothing, again, all year long.
As always, report your purchases in the comments if you dare! And as always, we don't include samples or gifts, and you can count miniatures, decants and bottle-splits howsoever you like (I usually count them as half bottles). Samples don't generally count at all, even though some of us spend considerable sums obtaining them.
1. Why does Donatella host (against her will, mind you) the damage polls? There is no real reason other than the picture of her perfume collection, which shows that she indulges regularly at the perfume counter. The image, by the way, is originally from Allure magazine and appears here courtesy of Blogdorf Goodman.

Yes! And the presentation is lovely too. 🙂
Hat tip to you, Sir! ?
Wow Bob, good for you! Nice to see you, too.
…bows down in reverence at that list….
Ooh, Fougere Bengale! So tempted for a bottle of that.
Yatagan is SO freaking GOOD!
Nice haul! How do the Aldi dupes hold up to the original Jo Malones?
I had bought full bottles of:
No 5 extrait
Coromandel extrait
Coco Mademoiselle edt
Travel sprays are:
Burberry Brit
Burberry for Her
Coco Mademoiselle
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Been pretty bad this year in general.
Nice list!

Good thinking.
?
Not too many sins this quarter, just Cumming, via Ebay, and Galop (partial bottle purchased from an NSTer with great taste). And possibly a 10ml bottle of POAL — I can’t recall if this was during the past quarter. Time is so blurry…
Great purchases! I rediscovered PoaL last week, maybe I’ll wear it later this week. Thanks for inspiration!
I’m with the majority (as of now) at two bottles: a BUB of Chanel Cristalle, and new-for-me Lubin Grisette. I think this is my lowest quarter so far!
Congrats then!
Just one, a bottle of Diptyque Kyoto. I downsized my collection a few months ago from about 100+ bottles to 40. While I do feel good about it, sometimes a think of a fragrance that I’d like to wear then realize that I no longer have it, then I quickly remember that there’s a reason I decided to part with it.
Oh! I tried this last week, but haven’t had a chance to consider it fully. What do you like about this one (especially interesting given you have downsized but still wanted this)?
I like the tartness of it and the loamy earthiness the beetroot gives it. I don’t have anything like it and it layers beautifully over Tam Dao.
Forgive me Donatella, I think I have sold more bottles than bought also in this quarter. These are my new acquisitions (nearly all of them 30ml):
Full bottles: Bvlgari Splendida Iris d’Or, Omnia
Estee Lauder Pleasures
Diptyque Eau Moheli
Demeter Thunderstorm, Wet Garden, Espresso, Dulce de Leche
Minis/ travel sizes:
Arquiste Nanban, Architect’s Club
Carine Roitfeld Seven Lovers travel set
Atelier Cologne Lemon Island
Samples: Amouage Dia, Nishane Wumong Cha
Oh dear. Embarrassing typo with Wulong Cha. I also forgot to confess Maque Milano Madeleine but I guess it counts as mecenate action, not perfume purchase.
Donatella approves of your reasoning I am sure 🙂
oye ve

Great purcases! Sana Jardin seems to have some new stuff? How do you like them?
I really like Sana Jardin. Have Tiger by her Side and Sandalwood Temple also. And you can get travel size.
Incense Water makes me so happy.
I’m going to grab that Sana Jardin discovery kit soon. They sound fabulous.
Oh, nice haul! I’m going to have to look at that OJ Discovery Kit..
I think Donatella will be revoking my Perfume BFF card any day now. I only bought 2 sample sets this quarter, Les Indemodables and Zoologist Animalics.
She is used to some of us disappointing her 😉
Us low-spenders are like the prodigal sons and daughters — doubly cherished when we return to breaking out the credit card…
It’s a special quarter because I received a windfall (sale of a house which belonged to my parents), most of it is safely invested but I put aside some fun money which it turned out was mostly perfumes and at the time my broken wrist left with so much time on my hands:
Vintage Diorissimo esprit de parfum 75ml £54.08
Chanel les exclusifs Coromandel extrait 15ml £105
No 22 £105
(I could have bought Bois des Iles at the same time so felt restrained)
Berdoues Masai Mara 100ml £51.85
Bogue MEM extrait de parfum 50ml £121.80
Phaedon Pur Azure 100ml £105
And the rest of my purchases for the quarter:
Vintage Coty Rose Jacqueminot £19.80
Tom Ford Noir Extrême 70/100 £30
Vintage Caron En Avion 50ml £49.99
Vintage Miss Dior esprit de parfum 75ml £36.95
Crown Perfumery Crown Bouquet 100ml £26.96
Stephanotis 50ml £19
Hugo Boss Deep Red 90ml £14 (enabler pin to Jalapeno and it turned out to be a vintage bottle in pristine condition)
Chanel Misia edp 70/200ml £46
Molton Brown Muddled Plum edt 50ml £11
Mahina edp 50ml £26
Mauboussin Histoire d’Eau 75ml – £28 (my favorite purchase)
Serge Lutens Des Clous pour une Pelure £59
Serge Lutens Fleurs de Citronnier 100ml £46
Estée Lauder Azurée 50ml £24
Vintage Floris Special No 127 100ml £43
Vintage Etro Royal Pavillon 100ml £34
Vintage Paloma Picasso 30ml £10
All those new perfumes provide essential PT for you poor wrist as it heals. No better way to develop strength in said wrist than using it for many, many spritzes of new perfume! ??
Oh Deva, I love your thinking and there’s truth in it as I have PT hourly exercises to do.
I agree with Deva. You need this for wrist PT.
?
Nice, Deva!
Great thinking from Deva ?
Nice list, and I’m always glad to see that someone else likes Mouboussin Histoire as much as I do 🙂
It’s wonderful, isn’t it.
Yes. Not buying Bois des Iles does show impressive restraint.
I think you should reward yourself for that. (I wonder how…?)
?
How cool, an enabler pin! Deep Red is crazy good, isn’t it?
It’s wonderful, thank you again.
You’re quite welcome! ??
Aurora, may I ask where you find these perfumes at such prices? I’m in the UK as well-are these mainly online, or discounted at high street/ department store retailers? A general steer would be much appreciated, I am not asking for each purchaser to be accounted for!
Waving back from the UK ?. The majority is from ebay uk, and also Bloom perfumery which had a 20% sale (the MEM and Phaedon Pure Azur).
Oh Bloom, wonderful! Thank you very much (waving) ?
Excellent all the way around!
Thank you Lillyjo.
That Paloma Picasso must be fabulous! I wore it 25 years ago, lol.
Nothing else like it.
Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus, 50 ml. It was on sale for months at the local boutique, and there’s only so long you resist such a good deal…
It was the only sensible thing to do!
I do like that one 🙂
I have not much to confess, this was my most behaved buying since the rabbit hole.
Dryad, partial bottle with max 20ml lefr
Fiore dell Onda by L Erbolario, because I was in Italy and bought it as a souvenir from a lovely little shop in Scansano…
I also bought a Nesti Dante soap in another nice shop, i always wanted to try it, but we have loads of soap at home. But so what, this will be the next one I will use.
Which ND soap?
With rosewood and back iris from the philosophy line. Smells lovely
Thank you!!
Hello all! I think I was relatively well-behaved, four bottles this quarter:
Bvlgari Au the Vert – $75
Dune Pour Homme by Dior – $95
Fendi Life Essence – $65
Cloud by Ariana Grande – $31
I confess, what I didn’t spend on perfume, I spent on skin care. Thank goodness we don’t have a Donatella for skin care! 😉
Or clothing, or furniture…thank goodness is right!
– Bosque by Humięcki & Graef – 50% at the local warehouse
– Sombre Negra Eau Fraîche by Yosh
– König Eau Fraîche by Yosh (nearly as good as the original EdP!)
3 is not bad at all 🙂
Cloud Intense (travel)
Love (Beauty Pie)
Cloud Body Spray
Black Opium Neon (travel)
Marigold and Sugar Body Spray
Honestly not bad at all!
How do you like Cloud Intense? Or how does it compare to the original. Tia!
I am interested in trying the intense as well.
Cloud Intense smells warmer, and more amber-y to me. It’s does not have as much of the airy pear/floral & cotton candy feel. It’s NOT B540 at all (despite internet lore) but it is a warm, light pear/caramel floral. It’s delightful for sweater weather.
Thanks! That sounds better to me than regular Cloud.
Enabler pin for you…I bought the Cloud Body Spray. It was perfumath free.
*wears pin with pride*
It’s really is! I like it right after the shower and sprayed into the hair!
Nary a thing! Spent way too much money moving ?
Good for you Dorsey!
I thought Donatella had given up on me from January 2020 – May 2021, but then I bought one bottle at Sephora with some gift certificates in May and then finally invested in some more Hermes travel sprays (the 2018 EdT Hermessences) in August and a long-awaited bottle of The Zoo NYC Club Design two weeks ago. Perhaps Donatella is more patient than she looks. She knew I’d be back.
Donatella doesn’t give up!
Donatella turned up her nose at my insignificant Montale Discovery set purchase. Never had a legit perfumista card, and she now knows I’m a total imposter…??♀️
🙂
Just the one bottle this quarter, Armani Privé Encens Satin, which I found on sale in my own country – irresistible!
I have bought lots of samples from Luckyscent and Surrender to Chance over the last few months, so the list of future purchases has grown some more. Lots of future confessions in the offing 🙂
We eagerly await!
I didn’t do too badly (from my wallet’s standpoint) nor too well (from Donatella’s standpoint):
– 15 ml manufacturer’s bottle of AG Eau d’Hadrien
– 10 ml travel bottle of FM Iris Poudre
I’m enjoying both of them. I generally end up in the 2 – 4 bottles camp and this held true. But there’s still time left in 2021 for me to break OUT.
You did quite well!
Two full bottles:
Sigil Anima Mundi (30 ml)
Guerlain Derby (100 ml)
Caron’s L’Ecrin de Vos sample set of six new or reformulated perfumes. I got Aimez-Moi, Pois de Senteur, Tabac Blond, Tabac Noir, Accord 119, and Santal Precieux as my 6 samples.
Please let us know what the Tabac Blond is like!
It is recognizable as Tabac Blond–I’m not good with notes, but I think I can pick up carnation, leather, amber and rose–but, in the early stages, seems thinner, sweeter, and more powdery. It lasts a long time, and I like the drydown better; it’s mostly rose and patchouli (I think) and–could it be?–I _think_ I detect some oak moss. The sweet powderiness re-appears at the very end (some 16 hours after I applied a couple of sprays). Overall, it’s decent, but I don’t find it as interesting or compelling as I remember.
I’d certainly wear it if someone gave me a bottle, but I’m glad I got a sample rather than getting a full bottle based on memories of earlier versions. I’m hoping the reformulated Narcisse Noir (which I don’t have a sample of) feels closer to my memories.
Thank you!
Two FBs here, too, both (ack!) full price from Nordstrom but that was reduced by a few Nordstrom Notes and a modest gift card.
Paris-Deauville 100 ml
Hiris (FINALLY — I have waited four years to buy it) 100 ml
The Hiris is SO GOOD — to me it is very, very dry and woody Iris, and predictably fleeting but I am just so happy to have it that I have been spraying with abandon.
How nice to have Hiris in your hands at long last.
Hiris is so good! Glad you got your bottle!
I ~think these were all… I’m happy with these purchases!
DKNY Pure Verbena
Simone Andreoli Fico Nero
Simone Andreoli Sunsplosion
Simone Andreoli Malibu by the Bay
Floral Street Sunflower Pop
Floral Street Electric Rhubarb
Sarah Jessica Parker NYC Crush
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’39
Even from just the names, those scents all sound like happy fragrances!!
Congratulations!
They are! I was trapped at home on covid house arrest and did a little too much shopping. All blind buys but I got really lucky and they did help raise my spirits!
Floral Street is a great brand.
Both of the two I purchased turned out to be really good scents and I want to try more from this house. Arizona Bloom is next on my try list!
This is my first confession. Here goes:
Guerlain Héritage Eau de Toilette (100 ml)
Bvlgari Black (40 ml)
Hermès Eau de néroli doré (200 ml)
Dior Homme Parfum (100 ml)
Nice!
Thank you!
A batch of classics.
I love the classics! These have joined a collection of classics such as Habit Rouge, Shalimar and L’Heure Bleue.
I’m quite proud of myself this quarter for only buying two bottles, and both of them are discontinued perfumes, which makes me feel even better about them. My lowest spending/number of bottles acquired quarter probably ever since I got seriously into perfume.
Penhaligon’s Amaranthine 50ml bottle $145
Tocca Brigitte 50ml bottle $36
Oooooooh Amaranthine! You found a perfume unicorn, too!
Thanks for reminding me…I bought Brigitte too!! Enabler pin for you!! I got it from the same Canadian retailer, even with shipping it was a great price and impossible to find now.
I have gone completely mad in the last quarter and really don’t want to think of the accumulated cost of all I have bought! Let’s say I’ve gone from aficionado perfumista to having a proper collection (or problem depending on how you see it). The Guerlain discontinuation rumours very much contributed ? also the fact that I’ve been selling unloved bottles in eBay.
So let’s see
– 1 bottle of Gourmand Coquin (back up my first bottle very depleted) and French kiss (didn’t own it and blind buy but don’t regret it)
– Le plus beau jour de ma vie
– Madmoiselle Guerlain
-Baiser de Russie
– L’Heure Bleue EDP (glorious perfume!)
– Chanel n 5 used bottle in ebay
– Chanel 22 EDP used bottle off eBay (so happy with it and cost offset by selling Beige)
-Grand Soir
– Decant or Rose Nacree du Desert and Bergamotte Calabria.
Now waiting for Dusita Anamcara to be posted. I need to stop!
That’s a lovely list.
I am so sorry Donatella, but this quarter my purchases went to my second hobby: shower products. To your disappointment I only bought 2 bottles:
– Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom- 30ml bottle.
-Dame Perfumery Minty Man- 100ml bottle.
See you, next time! ?
I forgot to add:
– Ariana Grande Cloud- 30ml bottle.
Can you spill?
Minty Man, I’ve been wanting to pick up a fb once my decant ran out and I just keep forgetting–thanks for the reminder! 🙂
Emailed you!
Well, I was pretty sensible this quarter, so Donatella will be quite bored with my entry:
Scentsplit sample order
Perris bottle of Musc Extreme
Evil Bay small decant of TDC Oriental Lounge (Labor Day $5 coupon, couldn’t resist)
Oriental Lounge is a perfect summer oriental, and there are not many of them out there.
I’ve tried and liked it a couple of times, so I need to just get the FB.
Three bottles this time, and two of them were perfume unicorns for me, so I *had* to provide a home for them.
1. Reminiscence Patchouli EdT, 50mL — $45.78
2. YSL Opium Eau d’Orient Orchidee de Chine EdT, 100mL — $126.87
3. Jean Patou Chaldee EdP Heritage Collection, 100mL — $69.90
Total = $242.55.
Ahhhh!! Where did you get that Opium?!
Found it on FragranceX when I was looking for something else… ?
Then it was meant to be!
All divine perfumes.
Nothing at all: I bought a couple of bottles of shower gel but they don’t count. I’m still busily working my way through my deranged collection of samples, and actually making headway.
Whittling down the mountain of samples must feel good!
Continuing my streak this year with 3 bottles last quarter:
Lubin Kismet, $42 (amazing deal on ebay, I like this better than Shalimar);
Etro Palais Jamais, $85 (partial bottle, older packaging, won’t likely find this one again!);
Durga Poppy Rouge, $135 (discontinued beauty, no regrets);
Durga samples, $25 (St Vetyer, Amber Kiso, Jazmin Yucatan)
Sold two bottles and eight decants. No worries, Donatella.
Not affiliated, but Beautyhabit’s coupon ends tonight: FALLDISCOVERY for $10 off.
If you need inspiration for next quarter 😉
Nice find on that Etro!
Like Cicely, I was sucked in by the great Guerlain panic. I bought numerous backup bottles, plus a few new ones:
Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie
Rose Chérie
Santal Pao Rosa
I also bought a bunch of other things, completely falling off the wagon:
Teone Reinthal Embers 2021 & Sacred Ground
Amouage Portrayal & Material
A Lab On Fire Hossegor, Liquid Night and Hallucinogenic Pearl
Laboratorio Olfattivo Tonkade
Dior Vanilla Diorama
Tocca Brigitte
DS & Durga White Peacock Lily & Bowmakers
Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods
Francesca Bianchi Angel’s Dust
Jousset Accident à la Vanille
Do report on the Santa Pao Rosa – I thought that looked very promising! Guerlain panic twin – it was Bois d’Armenie’s fault. I like the new bottles, but I’ve finally realized that 75ml is *a lot* of fragrance if you have more than a few bottles – and are older than 12. 🙂
You’re so right, MossyBerry! When you are infatuated by a perfume, you tend to think you cannot live without it and the “what if I run out”… my consolation is that the resale value of many Guerlains tends to be very good, so it is not really lost. My little collection does make me happy. Bois d’Armenie deserves back up bottle for sure!
Yeah, I love Bois d’Arménie and bought more. :-). Even though I am well past 12.
I want a report about all your new perfumes too cazaubon 🙂 How are you enjoying Embers and Sacred Grounds? Glad you got Embers and hoping you love it! I use it as aromatherapy to go to bed and get gourmand vanilla/almond notes with the sandalwood. Somehow I don’t want to spray it on me to leave the house as it feels wasteful and it’s like a little ritual.
I was thinking of getting another TRNP but I was not completely sold with other samples I got- not enough to get a bottle. Do you like any others? Honey amber and Bitter Sweet sounded very nice from the YT channel Smurfygurly.
Le Plus Beau Jour de ma Vie I never smelt before last month and that is another new love. Also use it at home pm to feel cozy. Santal Pao Rosa smelt different and much much woodier the second time I smelt it (first time it was from an unlabelled vial when they were getting the new samples in the upstairs Guerlain fragrance hall and I wonder if they gave me a mixed sample with Rose Cherie as I swear I smelled rose and sandalwood++)
I don’t know many others from your list but Angel’s Dust is really beautiful- so far my favourite F Bianchi. I have not smelt Tyger Tyger or her most recent release but both sounded very tempting.
I love Embers, I think my previous bottle was the 2012 batch? But the 2021 is supposedly better, I haven’t even worn it yet, it just arrived. Sacred ground is wonderful, and I also own Bitter Sweet and Honey Amber. All delicious.
Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie was another one that I’ve sniffed but never got around to buying, happy to get some at the last minute. Santal Pao Rosa is basically all sandalwood on me, I was planning to layer it with some rose lotion or another rose perfume.
Sticky Fingers is my favorite FB, but I am enjoying Angel’s Dust and Tyger Tyger (forgot to put it in my list, along with Luxe Calm et Volupte).
The Guerlain discontinuation panic pushed me off the fence and into a bottle of Derby. [I vacillated about getting Sous le Vent until it was too late, and decided I wasn’t going to make the same mistake with Derby (which reminds me quite a bit of SlV).]
Oh no, I’ve been completely out of the loop–what is this Guerlain panic? What will they be discontinuing?!?!
You’ve missed it, it’s over. They discontinued the Elixirs Charnels and Les Parisiennes lines and relaunched the L’Art et la Matière collection (plus a few other things) in new bottles of 100 and 200 mls.
Oh no!!! Ugh, I’m so sad I missed that!!!
I bought one whole bottle, a totally cheap thrill (hopefully) — someone on here mentioned Eau de Gaga as a good summer scent a couple months back, and the notes sounded right up my alley, so I ordered a bottle for all of $17 off of Amazon. Don’t have it yet, though — as with most of my purchases over the past 18 months, it is sitting at my sister’s house on the other side of the border. She thought the Amazon package was for her, opened it, and was wondering why anyone had sent her Eau de Gaga. 😀
I’m headed down there this weekend, finally. Waiting on me there are Bulgari Eau de Thé Noir, a Tauer LADDM solid, a sample of Oeillet Bengale, and Night Flyer (formerly Zoologist Bat). But that’s most of my purchases over the last 18 months, so I have little to confess to Donatella.
I’m so happy for you that you finally get to see your sister and perfumes!
Yay for finally making it across the border! You’ve been marvellously restrained with your purchases.
Enjoy visiting your sister!
How exciting to finally see your sister! (Oh yeah, and perfumes too.)
Happy travels! Oeillet Bengal one of my favourites.
Beekman’s Rose Apothecary
Beekman’s Violet Wisteria
Zoologist Hummingbird
Zoologist Chipmunk
Goutal Paris Eau d’Hadrien Parfum
Beekman’s Rose, I bought because of the laughs that made 2020 a little less dim.
Hummingbird was an expensive blind buy mistake.
Chipmunk love, love, love.
Eau d’Hadrien, old friend, I have been hunting you down for too long.
With all the sales and samples around, I have to really set a budget. It does not help that a sweet NSTer sent me Chris Rusak samples and I have fallen hard.
Ouch on the blind buy misfire, but good work on the others
I’ll take the congrats.
And *try* to avoid blind buys. Especially at that price.
You fell out of love with your Hummingbird? Aww. I forgot to list Hummingbird and Chipmunk which I bought as well, I like them both.
We have similar tastes.
Forgot to list, ???
You might be able to swap Hummingbird for something you love in a later swapmeet…
Unless anyone can tell me otherwise, I don’t believe I bought any perfume this past quarter.
I did return one from last quarter (KKW Amber) so I guess that makes -1.
LOL at -1 perfumes! A new theorem of Perfumath!
Oh wait, I am a big fat liar!
Ede reminded me I bought a body spray of Cloud!
You’re still at zero though, because of the return! 🙂
Plus, body sprays don’t count. Not “real” perfume! Back to -1 ?
-1, I love it ?
My one purchase, at the drugstore, was a Cloud gift set. The hand cream is sitting on my desk at work, for surreptitious scenting.
Just 2 for me this quarter.
Lancome Iris Dragees
Lancome LVEB Intensement
You went for pretty ones!
I did!
I still need to try that LVEB Intensement! Keep forgetting to look for it.
There was a big Iris Dragées drama when we got back to San Diego, couldn’t find my bottle, and I knew it had to be there somewhere. Looked through all the perfumes multiple times, pulling out hair. Finally spied it in its box on the floor of the closet with my boots. Whew. Must have been misplaced in the packing frenzy!
Very glad you found your ID! I would have panicked. I spent an hour yesterday looking for my good hair elastics; being a Virgo I knew they had to be SOMEWHERE as I could see them in my minds-eye; they were on the bathroom vanity but blended in with the countertop so I didn’t notice them.
Hope you get to try LVEB soon.
Iris Dragees is lovely & on my wish list. Congrats on your purchases!
I voted 2-4, and then realized that I lied:
JD Jeffrey Dame Singularity
Yves Rocher Nouveau Genre
Lolita Lempicka Elle L’Aime
Teo Cabanel Barkhane (on sale!)
Teo Cabanel Cafe Cabanel
(The last two just ordered, not here yet)
(Plus almost forgot: travel sprays from Yves Rocher: Autour de Minuit, Plein Soleil)
What do you think of Singularity?
I received a sample, dabbed it on and was strangely compelled to sniff my arm all day. Fragrantica reviews suggest people think it smells like old school Coppertone. For me it’s not quite that, but the orange blossom and clean jasmine just hit right for me. (And the price point…)
I get jasmine & ob as well. I also find it very wearable.
Yay, glad you were able to find some good stuff at the Teo Cabanel sale! I have both the ones you ordered, they are yummy.
Bless me, Donatella, for I am sorry to have disappointed yet again…
At a giant rummage sale on Sunday, I found two 5mL sprays–one Obsession, one Pleasures, both vintage–for $1 each! I bought them (obviously) but that’s all I’ve bought all quarter. I’m not counting the one scented soap I bought, since I don’t have a soap problem in the same way I have a perfume problem…
Nice finds!
I have gone somewhat hog wild this year.? That said, I also got my act in gear and have sold more than a dozen bottles on Ebay in the last few months.?? I am like a museum of one….ehaeheh I grow the collection then hawk acquisitions to other interested institutions. I would also add many of these were blind buys to illustrate the degree of madness. 😉 About 20 bottles…give or take… ?
1. Korres Midnight Dahlia, Morning Mimosa, Cashmere Kumquat and Vanilla Freesia
2. L’Occitane Verveine Cactus
3. Guerlain L’Initial
4. Azzaro Wanted Girl by Night
5. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle L’eau Mist
6. Azzaro Girl Wanted
7. Guerlain Gourmand Coquin
8. Givenchy L’Interdit EDP
9. Givenchy L’Interdit Intense
10. Castelbajac Red Cherry
11. 4711 Remix Neroli
12. Nuxe Huile Neroli
13. Fragonard Belle d’Arles
14. L’Interdit Rouge
15. Black Opium EDP (2016) 😉
16. Black Opium Extreme
Great list! Curious about the Azzaro Girl Wanteds.
Ooh delightful. The recent discussions here about Opium flankers has made me want to try them (I have a newish bottle of Opium, loved it, and stopped there). The recent Coco M varieties (l’eau privée etc) have brought me back to that one too. I loved it around 8-10 years ago but never wore it as I didn’t want to smell like the college students I was teaching at the time. But at least they smelled good!
What did you think about the L’Occitane?
I’ve not bought any perfume in a long time. I just have too many but this quarter I broke down…
Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose & Eau de Magnolia travel sizes
15 ml decant of Tom Ford Italian Cypress
You can’t go wrong with Malle travel sizes (I just bought Iris Poudre in the travel bottle).
No you can’t- especially as perfume lovers with more perfume than we can handle. I wish more perfume houses would release travel sizes in nice bottles and cases!
Agreed!
Here’s this last quarter’s damage list
(Jul, Aug and Sep – 2021)
100 Amouage Interlude 53 Man Eau De Parfum Harrods $ 467.09 (Sun) Sep 26 – 2021

Scoop, you have an amazing collection!
Whoa Scoob! Very impressed! You will be smelling fantastic everyday for the decade! You must have a good job, lol! Enjoy the bounty!
This was my quarter of travel sprays, it seems.
Travel sprays:
1) Le labo Fleur d’Orange 27
2) Replica Coffee Break
3) Ouai North Bondi (I think it was this quarter?)
4) Lush Pansy
5) Lush Breath of God
6) Lush American Cream
7) Lush Rose Jam
8) Lush Karma
Full bottles:
1) Pacifico by Snif
2) Boyfriend EDT
3) Dossier Woody Sage (Wood Sage and Sea Salt Dupe)
4) Dossier Floral Rose (rose 31 dupe)
I love Boyfriend and I am also planning a travel size purchase of Coffee Break. Fun list!
Ciao Donatella! We haven’t met but I know we’re going to become good friends ?Here’s a double espressso and my list:
Diptyque Eau Capitale edp
F Malle Superstitious (10 mls, doesn’t count)
Armani Privé Rose Milano (no personality, doesn’t count)
YSL Rive Gauche edt (on offer)
Perris Monte Carlo Jasmin de Pays edp (birthday gift to self, doesn’t count, but what a good gift!)
Hermès Monsieur Li (okay 100mls of this delicate beauty is a lot but it was on offer, was also a back-up bottle so yep, this doesn’t count)
Hermès Un Jardin après la Mousson
Guerlain L’Instant Magic edp (old packaging so reduced)
Guerlain Chant d’Arômes edt (as above, also a BUB so definitely doesn’t count)
Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile and Gelsomino Nobile (each in the leather purse spray thing of beauty, and the Iris seems to have disappeared in this country, they are Italian, and 20mls, so these are FREE)
Estée Lauder Private Collection
Chanel Paris-Edimbourg (shared with Mr Dolce so this doesn’t count either)
Tauer Phi Rose de Kandahar (my first Tauer so a special exemption applies to this one)
And from the occasional chemist’s bargain bin and the dodgy discount shop:
Roget et Gallet Extrait de Cologne Thé Fantaisie, Tubérose Hédonie and Cassis Frénésie, 30mls each
Rochas Madame Rochas edt
Oscar de la Renta Oscar Gold (200mls for £20 so…also free)
Donatella, I know I need to find a better way of dealing with life than using a lot of perfume, but it’s working for now? Arrivederci!
I haven’t Donatella’d for a couple of years, after starting a very detailed spreadsheet in 2016 and having my eyes pop out of my head at the amount of money I spent. I intentionally cut back on perfume spending and now it’s become habit. (Combined with the realization that I don’t need or want anything bigger than a travel size, it has also become easy.) I now spend more on perfume for my husband, which is somewhat more satisfying, and of course, free.
I went back and tallied from the beginning of the year, so am reporting all 3 quarters. I have here and have always reported samples and decants.
Q1: Total spent $38.56
Sample of JD BFMV (to see if it’s still my favorite vanilla, and indeed it is)
2 VCA decants: Neroli Amara, Rose Rouge
Q2: Total spent $44.41
Used bottle of Chanel No 5 Voile and 2 No 5 EdT travel sprays. I buy perfume almost exclusively on ebay and this was one of my few misfires, and entirely my own fault, so while it might look like a great deal, it was not. Twas a good reminder to ask before buying if questions arise.
Q3: Total spent $131.88
Parfum d’Empire sample set (Le Cri, Acqua di Sandalo, Wazamba, Corsica Furiosa, Azemour)
Samples of 4 of the 5 CdG Incense series
3 samples from Kerosene (Unforsaken, Unknown Pleasures, Follow)
Chanel No 19 vintage 7.5 ml spray. This cost all of $30.74 and makes up for the No 5 fiasco
Vintage minis of EL Knowing and Cinnabar (enabler pin to SmokeyToes)
BBW Bonfire body spray (enabler pin to hajusuuri)
So for the year thus far I’ve spent $214.85. Not bad considering that’s what I was spending per month not so long ago.
Thank you for these lovely perfumes and for the reminder that happiness can be had on a budget. I let myself go this summer, for various reasons, which is okay, but only in the short term. I do not want the delights of perfume ever to become a problem in terms of storage, finances, or regret. Meanwhile, congrats on that gorgeous No.19!
