It's Monday, Coffee Ice Cream Day, Read a Book Day, and in the US, Labor Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I stayed up too late reading, overslept, and might not decide on a fragrance until at least one more cup of tea. I will report in later!
Reminder: 9/10 is Karl Lagerfeld's birthday. Wear a Karl Lagerfeld fragrance, or a fragrance from his stints at other fashion houses (Chloe, Chanel, etc). Or, wear a fragrance he wore (scroll down, although I am sure he wore other fragrances as well...feel free to investigate).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is model Anja Rubik from a Fendi campaign, Fall 2010.
Since I mentioned Boucheron Pour Homme EDP on Saturday, I had to wear it today, of course. An herby fougère, a floral oriental, a woody chypre, all bundled up into one: *so* good.
That was my late fathers scent. I am sure it has changed over the years. You can come sit next to me in your SOTD
It’s Labour Day here, and the sky is lead grey-looks like rain any minute. I’m going to mow the lawn and slow roast some veg for the week. Fragrance will be L’eau de Hiver. I’m waiting for my signed copy of Miss Dior, by Justine Picardie, to arrive by post. I loved her work on Chanel and I bet this will be just as good. Hope everyone’s having a nice relaxing long weekend.
Hope it is a fun read carole!
I hope so too! I follow the author in IG, and she would post daily updates, which was fun to be a part of. Part of the book has o be quite dark, because Catherine Dior was a member of the Resistance and was captured and tortured. But she seems to be an amazing person and I’d like to know more about her life. Do you know-I’ve been reading this blog since it started, and never commented 🙂 Finally came out of the shadows. Thank you for making me feel welcome. I hope Angela comes back soon, with some gorgeous vintage fume to talk about.
Nice to see you!
Nice to see you , too , Gaynor !
I saw a review of that book, and thought it might be interesting, and then forgot about it. Thanks for mentioning it- I will go find a copy!
I am not up for any dark reading at the moment, but I do have it on my list for “some day”.
Angie is keeping herself busy 🙂

Yum, coffee flavored ice cream is my favorite. I unknowingly celebrated a day early yesterday with a cup of cappuccino Oreo from one of my favorite ice cream shops.
I’m in LL Bergamote 22 for another sunny, perfect day. Sorry, but I have to keep bragging because soon enough it will be the gray season here.?
We are back home after a whirlwind moving weekend. Got my college daughter all moved and settled in her apartment. The only hiccup was getting to the storage locker Saturday morning to find that a second padlock had been added at some point over the summer and my daughter did not have key to it.?Luckily the company had a maintenance man on call that came and unlocked it. We left her yesterday and I didn’t even cry! Hopefully she found my card tucked under her pillow last night.☺️
Awwww. I’m sure she found it!
Good for you both!
I bet she looked for it the second you left!
Glad to hear the trip was a mostly uneventful one!
Trying Lubin Le Vetiver mmmm:). Says it’s for men but..smells just fine on me:).
I bet it does!
Wearing Iunx Talc ❤.
Beautiful cool, crispy mornings followed by warm afternoons. It is still very humid, but pleasant. Fall is in the air.
I went thru my spring and summer scents during the weekend and made a decent purge. I am going to start with the fall and winter scents today. That is a different task because the amount is huge. It will take some time, but I think I can make some progress this week. Even though my perfume cabinet is pretty big, it still needs decluttering and I want to see my favorite perfumes better. I am planning to rehome the ones that I don’t like anymore or don’t reach for often. My younger sister already took a couple for her yesterday.
Coffee ice cream is on my menu for later today! ?☕
Happy Monday!
You smell divine! I am hoping that IUNX follows in Aedes’ footsteps and makes a reappearance and that some day OG will have another boutique. I’m bummed I didn’t know about her Paris boutique the last time I was there in 2016.
Your organizing project sounds fun (albeit a little daunting). May I ask what kind of cabinet you have? I’m always on the lookout for something better than the somewhat haphazard arrangement I have now.
Thank you, Allo! ? I also hope Olivia Giacobetti gives us the happiness to bring Iunx back. Most of what I tried from the line I love, especially Talc. I would definitely have back up bottles of Talc, if it is not reformulated.
My perfume cabinet was custom made by a local cabinet maker about 10 years ago. It is a very nice, simple, strong wood cabinet without any glass. I was not looking to display my perfumes, just to keep them in a safe, dark place to preserve them longer. It is very spacious with 5 levels and each has its own door. My perfumes are organized by season, so it is easy for me to reach them since they are stored separately. I think that any cabinet that keeps your perfumes away from light can easily work.
I am planning to buy a cabinet now for my soaps and shower gels. That is not going to be custom made or too big, but I am thinking also about storing them the proper way.
Oh, that sounds amazing – to have a cabinet that was made for you and with doors to keep out the light. That feature could also open up options re where to put it. I use the shelves in my closet but it make it difficult to organize so that I can see everything. And of course the seasonal culling/display is an excellent idea:)
I meant to also ask if you’ve tried others from IUNX. I have Talc and L’Eau Frappe and am curious about the others, especially L’Ether.
From Iunx I also have a decant of No. 2 L’ Eau Sento, which is a nice, soft woody incense scent. I tried No.1 L’Eau Argentine, a green scent; L’Eau Blanche, a soft iris scent and L’Ether, which is another nice incense, similar to Passage d’ Enfer. They are all full bottle worthy in my humble opinion.
I agree re FBW – the fragrances have such beautiful complexity for being eaux and those bottles are a work of art!
I love the sound of your cabinet!
Thank you, Gail! Nothing fancy, just the right place to store them and I love it.
I’ve set aside a few bottles that need new homes. That will happen at a later date, though.
I’m wearing Replica’s Coffee Break today. It’s a really nice coffee/ vanilla/ lavender and I’m really glad I impulse added the travel spray to my last Sephora order.
Have a great day everyone!
you smell delish!!
I am looking forward to trying that one if I ever get myself to Sephora.
Going to the zoo with the niece and nephews today (and assorted other adults I don’t have to wrangle all three children by myself), SOTD is Byredo Pulp. I want to see if the heat and exertion makes it fade faster or intensifies the scent.
You smell great! Have a nice day at the zoo!
Thank you!
What fun!!
It was! The year old nephew was absolutely shocked to see a bear! Too cute!
Aw!!
My scent in the last few days has varied between Off and Cutter, with undertones of sunscreen. lol! There are so many mosquitos and other biting insects zipping around outside. So far today, something found the one little spot on the back of my calf that the Deep Woods Off didn’t cover. Oh, well.
*garden rambling follows*
I’ve made progress with digging up bulbs and replanting them. Mostly I ended up digging up rocks in the area near the mailbox where daffodils and daylilies grow. However, I did find what I presume are ‘Cheerfulness’ and ‘Yellow Cheerfulness’ daffodil bulbs. Also I found a whole lot of grape hyacinth bulbs. That type of grape hyacinth keeps its leaves through much of the year, so I could distinguish some of them from the daffodil bulbs. However, I knocked the leaves off a number of the grape hyacinth bulbs in the process of digging them up, which made it a guessing game. I planted some of each near the west side of the house, and some of the “extra” ‘Tete-a-Tete’ daffodils there near the back door and sort of along the “front” of what’s turning out to be a little border of flowers by the back of the house.
Moving bulbs twin. I keep second-guessing myself, because I have other future .projects that could involve having to dig them up again. One goal for this year is to get some crocus in the front lawn. They show really well here because the grass stays dormant until they are done for the year.
*high five* to my moving bulbs twin
That’s why I’ve been running around every few weeks putting plastic T-shaped labels with the plant names on them by whatever shows up. I can’t keep the labels there in the sections of the yard that Dad mows, but I’ve still got labels that say “hyacinth” or “daffodils” in the parts without grass.
This year I didn’t get as many of the bigger spring-flowering bulbs. I’m also experimenting with crocuses, and I’m getting grape hyacinths in a variety of colors. They come in yellow — or at least a yellow and purple flower — and in various shades of blue and purple, and in white. There’s a pink sort now, but that’s relatively expensive.
Good luck with your crocuses! 🙂
We have gone through bottles of Cutter this summer!! But I admit I probably haven’t done even an hour of gardening all summer, ack! So thank you for keeping the world beautiful for slackers like me 🙂
Yes, but you got to the beach a couple of times, and caught up with seeing family members. Those things are important, too. 🙂
I wouldn’t call you a slacker. 🙂 A lot of days this summer it was way too hot and humid to work out in the yard. But if you feel extremely guilty about it, you’re welcome to come over and plant those of my roses and lilacs that are still living in pots, aka “plant purgatory.” LOL!
I love Haggen Dazs coffee ice cream so much. But I have so much ice cream in the freezer at the moment that I really can’t justify running to the store for more.
Wearing Nahema today and burning a Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works. Am really trying to get through some of my candle stash on the days when I’m hanging with my laptop doing homework. So that I can justify the purchase of more candles, of course.
If I do ice cream..I do the Haggen. There’s a Haggen shop here too that sells shakes and stuff..good thing it’s several miles from me..I guess.. lol. Pistachio for me
Nobody does it like Haggen Dazs! If I had a Haggen shop I would be in some serious trouble.
For some reason, I go weak for Rum Raisin. I don’t even drink alcohol, but I can finish off two containers of Haagen Dazs Rum Raisin all by myself, in about twenty minutes.
I am trying use up my candle collection too. I am currently going through a Frozen Lake.
My Mom has that one! I’ve been eyeballing all the gourmet fall fragrances…Blueberry Maple Pancake in particular. Yum.
Frozen Lake is a great transition type of candle. Honeycrisp Apple is an awesome one along with Apple Weather.
Smelling wonderful today in your Nahema! ?
SotD Shalimar Philtre. It seems to like the warm weather, I wonder if it will keeps its nice bloom when things get colder and drier?
You smell great and I have that same question
In Jo Malone’s Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, which to me is neither dark or particularly ambery but still quite nice.
I do enjoy that JM! You smell lovely.
2nd, it is one of the few JMs I own.
I’m in Terre d’Hermes, and really enjoying it.
Yep, you smell perfect!
Since I found my second box of scents, I pawed through samples. Shalimar Souffle Intense. I much prefer my EDC.
Gorgeous day here. The husband took the car for the day, so I’m at home or walking today. Was at a lovely church picnic by the water yesterday and enjoyed lots of good food, laughter (pie-eating contest) and sunshine. Same at dinner at new friends’ log cabin in the woods. I was asked how I was adjusting to my new home. My husband said I’m adjusting easier…he misses NYC a lot – it’s truly in his blood. I’ve moved so much in my life, that missing somewhere is just normal to me and is background noise more than anything else. I will always miss the Sierras…my heart is most at home there. But it doesn’t mean I’m not perfectly content in our new place. It’s a good day.
I am missing Montréal a lot… it’s so hard to think about I try to block it out.
It sounds like a good weekend 🙂
Wore LADDM this morning and now in Coco Mademoiselle Intense. On my way to work but would rather not be on my way.
Scent twins!
Coffee ice cream is my kid’s latest favourite! I suspect there will be a trip either up or down the hill today (ice cream in both directions).
No scent yet today. I did get out Bulgari Black this weekend, and it was perfect for a rainy, fall-ish day. I forget just how comfortable it is. I’ve also never gotten tons of rubber off of it, which used to disappoint me, but now I just love how cozy it is.
I did not put on anything until early evening, and then I ended up in a little Tauer Rose Delight.
Wore Eau du Ciel (reissue) yesterday and can still faintly smell it this morning. It performed beautifully in the warm weather we were having yesterday. Planning on wearing De Bachmakov today. Still being lazy in bed with the kitty.
You smell great! Eau de Ciel was my first AG purchase way way back and I must say that the anniversary bottle has piqued my interest…
The anniversary bottles have piqued my interest too!
But which one out of the 4 would you get! That is my question
Maybe Eau d’Hadrien
And what about you?
Mon parfum cherie may also be a good pick too as well as that one
Always been a lurker and I finally decided to join the conversation. Hello to everyone!
Coffee ice cream sounds delicious but I am off sugar alas no ice cream for me. I am in a sample of MFK Baccarrat Rouge 540 from yesterday but all I get is the smell of tobacco on me.
Welcome Sam!
?
Welcome!
?
Welcome! You smell fab!
Off sugar? you are my hero
?
Yes finally lost 20 lbs and I am hoping to keep it that way.
Hello Sam!
?
Welcome, Sam!
?
Hi Sam!
Hi Gail!
Welcome!
Hi Sam, welcome to the fun!
Hello and welcome, Sam!
Hiya Sam!
Vol du Nuit today. One of my favourite Guerlains and the one I wore for my wedding two years ago.
It’s a beautiful day in Toronto today after a stormy night. Hope everyone is enjoying what I always feel is the last day of summer.
You smell wonderful!
SOTD is Indochine. because its’ Indochine.
Have lost 10 of the 17 covid pounds. no coffee ice cream here, alas.
My goal is to be exactly where I was on the scale on Nov. 1 two years ago.
I started reading The Song of Achilles. I know many of you have read it.
It feels like The Persian Boy. I may download it and lay across bed and read later.
Got a microdermabrasion and facial and a massage. It was wonderful.
What is the turn around time for a microdermabrasion? Do you have redness, or superficial wounds for days, weeks? And Indochine! Oh my! Love that one! It’s the only FB I have that’s almost empty…
Oh, I need to not use any products with active ingredients for about three days. So cetaphil and a mild night cream plus sunscreen. No wounds, no peeling. I’m not a chemical peel person. The redness is gone in a few hours. She does my neck and chest too.
I wear sunscreen everyday anyway. Have been getting microdermabrasions since the machines first came out I think almost 18 years or so?
Yes Indochine a desert island choice for me.
Rubs to T. Rex!
Congrats on the weight loss, that’s marvelous!
Thunked a sample of Poets of Berlin by Vilhelm Parfumerie today.
No SotD yet. Just took a shower and washed my hair with a new Teatree oil shampoo and it smelled great. Earlier had lunch with my 2 year old daughter and we got some authentic vietnamese lemongrass chicken with steamed rice. It was delicious!!
Oooops I meant to post it as an individual comment:)
I’ve been thinking about trying some samples from Vilhelm, have you enjoyed them?
I did like what I sampled. Especially Modest Mimosa.
Oh good!
Wearing Kenzie Jungle l’Elephant today and loving it as much if not more than usual. ?
We’ve moved on to another seaside campsite, a poor cousin to the riverside one we were at, which is one of my top 5. EVER! I hated to leave.
However, if you’re an otter fan, fasten your seatbelts..! One of the high points of the last few weeks was spotting river otters ? swim by our campsite on Saturday!! I was so excited I could hardly stand it- the whiskers! The svelte boneless bodies! The water acrobatics! The total cuteness had me falling all over myself (and the doggo) trying to get them on film here’s a short snippet of them if you’re interested.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CTaaDAEBi_v/?utm_medium=copy_link
Now we are in another campsite, packed in like sardines, in tiny sites, so close to your neighbors you can hear them snore. Not my cup of tea, but it will have to do for now.
Oh, you smell really good!
Otters are just so watchable. I’ve never seen them in the “wild,” but I used to love going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to watch them — the fluidity of their motion is just incredible.
My first time seeing them in the wild! They were one of my bucket list animals to see in their natural habitat. I almost died from joy! ? Even the otter emoji is adorable ?
Wow, those little guys are fast!
They are very fast in the water, but rather lumbering on land. Adorable, no matter what!
Love them. Another reason to live on the left coast.
Getting ready for my yoga class, wearing NG Iris Cendré.
Decided to try and catalogue my collection using the Basenotes wardrobe feature. There are a number of fragrances missing and I haven’t even done half the bottles and I’m already at 500+. :-0
I love reading those big numbers, it makes me feel better about how much perfume I have 🙂
Oooh, I should check out that feature on Basenotes. I recently started using the one on Fragrantica.
Wait, what?! 500 bottles is less than half of what you have..? Did I read that right? ?
I just finished updating for today, I’m at 674 and there were several fragrances I couldn’t add because they are missing from the database. But a lot of that was done from memory of what I have in San Diego. When I get back there next week I will be able to complete the job. I’m thinking it won’t be more than 1,000. Which is plenty but I was afraid it would be more. :-0
??
Somehow, I thought you were going to add at most 1 bottle per month and that was from 2016 so technically, you would probably have added 68 perfumes. Did you make it? ?
Hahahaha….. what do you think? The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I dropped all thoughts of a no buy many moons ago.
BIG hat top to you! You are truly the Princess of Perfumistas…I would love to see a photo of them all together. ?
Hat “tip”!!
Right now they are crammed in a dark closet which is very hard to photograph because of the shape of the closet and positioning of the door. Someday I hope to have a display room worthy to show them off.
Um. WOW. I am utterly gobsmacked.
Think of me every time you think you have too much perfume, you’ll look virtuous by comparison. 😉
Ditto on that! I feel so much better.
Me three ?
How did you decide which perfumes to keep at each location?
Since I spend summers in Canada and winters in California, I have some seasonal scents, a lot of duplicates, and random selections that go back and forth according to my mood.
Songes today and I got complimented by a friend at Central Park.
I will save my vintage Chloe perfume for Friday and I read the list on the link what Mr Lagerfeld wore.
Nuit Etoilée by Goutal I have not smelled. Has anyone? It was on his list…
Dior eyeshadow and lots of sunblock today.
I’ve smelled both the EdT and EdP of AG Nuit Etoilee. Both have pine, incense and immortelle in them. The EdP is much fuller bodied, and would be what I consider a Fall/Winter scent, while the EdT can be worn in summer.
What jalapeño said. I will wear the EDT on Friday.
Also up for a bit of organizing and purging. I haven’t put on a sotd yet as I’m sure I will be spraying a bunch of things on my skin.
Same is happening to me. I have sprayed on so many perfumes for the past 3 days, that I end up not smelling anything properly. But it is fun to go over the collection to purge and organize! I have to take another shower later tonight to get rid of all the smells on my skin and clothes. I will not wear any scent after. I need to give my nose a rest! ?
I sprayed on paper to sample them. Some of them are very different on skin; I probably never really noticed that before.
Something is really bugging my nose now so I must have hit my skin by mistake; obviously it needs to be in the purge pile. Off to check my paper testers! Then shower!
Testing a few more samples today, I feel I have now given nearly all of them full consideration. Of course, I’m sure I’ll soon end up with more.
No sample sea for you!
I’m wearing Absolute Aphrodisiac today, and smelling pretty yummy, if I do say so myself.
You sure do!
I had to send my baby boy over the rainbow bridge this morning. He reached 14 which is good for a boerboel mix but had become very ill and there wasn’t more that could be done. He left this world the same way he lived in it – trusting, patient and adoring. I’m wearing Shalimar edp which he once bought me for mother’s day, as my then-excuse went! It is as deep and golden as he was.
I’m so sorry Merlin. Your special boy had good taste in gift giving without opposable thumbs!
Hugs to you.
Thanks Apsara, I appreciate the hug! It just shows how overrated opposable thumbs are – (except for ordering over the internet, of course!)
But I’m sure he looked over your shoulder to guide you to click!
Best friends do that.
I’m sorry, Merlin. It’s so hard losing a friend like that.
Yes, friend and soulmate. Thank you Sprinpansy!
Oh no, how very sad. I looked up that breed–it’s a handsome big dog. I’m glad he was able to go out with you there with him to show care and love.
He wasn’t as big as a pure breed – about knee high but stout. Some rude people said he was built like a barrel 😀 I was able to cradle most of him in my lap as he went.
I’m so sorry Merlin. It’s so difficult to be strong for our pets but he knew you loved him. He had very good taste in perfume.
I am so sorry, Merlin. He had the best mom, ever. Sending comforting hugs.
Sorry for your loss, Merlin! May Shalimar always bring you wonderful memories of him.
Aw. Very sorry to hear that you had to say that final Goodbye to your sweet furry friend today. Hugs.
Oh, so sorry you lost your boy! ? ?
Aww, I’m so sorry for your loss. Our awesome friends just don’t live long enough.
Thank you so much everyone. He had wonderful taste in perfume – though some of them made him sneeze (especially if I over-sprayed!) And he had a mommy who adored him… Fourteen years of being treasured! And I had 14 years of his boundless love. We were both very fortunate!
Hugs to everyone – I really appreciate your kind words – and I can see that rainbow bridge lighting up so vividly!
I’m so sorry for your loss, sending you hugs.
So sorry for your loss, Merlin. The rainbow bridge lit up when your boy crossed it.
Merlin, I’m so sorry your boy passed over. Big hugs to you! That was a wonderful little elegy. ❤️
I’m very sorry for your loss Merlin.
Losing such an important part of the family is never easy. Very sorry for your loss.
Many thanks Sam, Lillyjo, AnnE, Hajusuuri and Cazaubon. Hard to lose such a source of boundless love – as so many of you pet owners totally understand!
I’m in my sample of Santal Complet. I wish I had some coffee ice cream (or the rum raisin that Lisa D mentioned). But I do have some homemade peach coconut cake and now that I’ve cleaned a couple of bathrooms and trimmed the ivy and we’re about to go kayaking, I think I’ll have a small piece. Cuz, you know, I’ll need the energy.
Well, yeah — and frankly, you deserve a piece of cake for even contemplating kayaking, in my book.
Homemade peach coconut cake! Your baking prowess knows no bounds! Hope you had/are having a great time kayaking – what a beautiful day for it. We walked around Lake Union and saw lots of kayaks on the water.
Maybe you saw us! Kayaked around Lake Union from about 3:15 to 5:00 or so. What a beautiful day. Remind me to ask you about walking around Lake Union–can you really walk all the way around it?
We probably just missed you since we were done about 3pm. You can definitely walk all the way around the lake – it involves a little bit of snaking through alleys, etc. but there are usually a number of walkers and runners. We should do it sometime and stop for lunch in the middle!
I’m wearing many sprays of my new (restocked) bottle of MPG Ambre Precieux. I smell calm and serene!
Shana Tovah to those who celebrate! I’m not Jewish but my best friend is and is hosting a dinner this evening, with all of the traditional foods. It should be a nice gathering and low-key.
That picture for today is very arresting, Robin. I keep looking at it, and each time it looks like an Edward Hopper painting, which I would not think is a good strategy for selling anything!
Adding my shana tova wishes to all celebrating!
Shanah Tovah!
Wishing a year of goodness and sweetness to those who celebrate.
Grateful for goodness and sweetness found here.
That whole campaign was inspired by Hopper, but would guess the shot I used was the most successful homage of the bunch and indeed the least likely to sell any products 🙂
Yet another load of laundry done! I would ask where on Earth does it all come from, but I know the answer to that. I guess a better question would be “How can 2 people make so much dirty laundry?” ??
SOTD = Atelier Cologne Encens Jinhae today. Still sticking with quiet scents for now.
Re 2 people and laundry creation- I tried doing the minimalist route and had 7 days of underthings, socks, etc, but we we always short. So then I got us 3 weeks of everything but it is just too much! So now I am pruning slowly toward 2 weeks if everything. Ugh.
Just hoping to get everything knocked down to what I consider a reasonable pile by Friday.
I am amazed at how much laundry my husband and I create. Amazed and sometimes horrified lol
LOL! I can definitely relate to the horrified part of your reply!
Good riddance, I hope, on the travel laundry!
Not quite. Mr. Jalapeno still has at least one more fishing trip planned for this year… ?
Laundry twins!
Blergh! I’m sorry to hear that.
Seriously, the laundry. Ack.
Getting well and truly sick of it. If the Ancient Greek gods had truly wanted to torture Sisyphus, they would have made him do all their laundry.
Unfortunately I’m doing some work on this Labor Day, but it’s mostly to get a little jump on the week.
Sprayed on some Alaia this morning but it’s starting to grate on me, so I’ve mostly scrubbed it off. It’s a tenacious one!
I had fun visiting my local Diptyque store yesterday. I was very curious to smell the new scents, Kyoto and Venice. Venice was pleasant but nothing terribly exciting to me; green, vegetal, light. Kyoto I liked quite a lot, it’s got elements of familiarity (like a few of Diptyque’s green scents) but still something interesting. The rose wasn’t too prominent for me, nor the incense sadly. I also don’t really get the beetroot, but I do get some element of dirt or soil. If it were cheaper, I might consider it. The packaging was lovely but not as stunning in real life as in the photos. Money saved! I really wanted to try Ilio but it’s already gone from the store. The SA said it sold very well and will be back next summer.
That’s good to hear it will be back!
Scent twins with Dawn in Coco Mad Intense. I’ve been sitting on the patio, admiring the leaves with my new eyes – I can see every leaf clearly outlined against the next. After my appointment tomorrow, I think I’ll be clear to wear eye makeup but I’m not sure how I’ll see to put it on, could be funny ?
Yay for seeing the world with new eyes!
Thank you!
Yay! I look forward to the day when I can get my surgery, unfortunately it’s probably 10 years out, but my vision is very poor due to a prior surgery that caused damage. I’m hoping eventually it will be fixable.
I hope it’s fixable. I will still need glasses but I’m ok with that.
Hooray for your successful surgery!
Thanks!
Congratulations on seeing better! As a lifelong wearer of glasses, I can only imagine how wonderful it feels!
SOTD = Dior Sauvage Elixir
From a sample I got from Nordstrom. It is quite masculine but I do think all genders can wear it. It’s spicy, woody and has lavender throughout. I will probably eventually purchase a bottle. I can see layering this with La Vie Est Belle Intensement! ?
https://www.instagram.com/p/CTf3c5drDxH/?utm_medium=copy_link
Coffee ice cream is a favorite flavor and I thought I can substitute an affogato for it but no, it’s not quite the same. For those curious about it, here’s the definition: “An affogato or more traditionally known as “affogato al caffe” is an Italian coffee-based dessert. It usually takes the form of a scoop of unflavoured or vanilla gelato or ice cream topped or “drowned” with a shot of hot espresso.”
It’s back to work tomorrow – I needed this 3-day weekend!
I needed the extra long break too. I feel like it’s relentless in between now and Thanksgiving
We do have Veterans Day off and I am planning on taking as many Mondays as I can.
I tried the elixir the other day. I noticed they turned the ambroxan way down ?
This means you can wear it, right?
Someday I will finish the mango sorbetto that I have in the freezer…
I have several other ice cream pints in the freezer.
Lucky You!! I live far far away from the nearest Nordstrom… And Sauvage Elixir is the one I am thinking of purchasing (for my Dad).
Work today was pretty awful. We are so short staffed. It was a gorgeous day out and yet the whole city decided to go shopping! Honestly, people make me nuts.
Sotd is … I can’t ever remember the name except for La Danza something, and my stupid newish phone refuses to remember any of my previous perfumes mentioned lol. Off tomorrow woo hoo!
Phooey on your Monday being so very Monday-ish!
Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
I hope tomorrow is restful for you!
I feel ya, girl! Every single word you said. I hope you have a stellar day off tomorrow! ?
Rest and enjoy your day off tomorrow.
Lol about Your phone being stupid :))
Participated in Read a Book Day by reading some Dune earlier. It’s my first time reading it, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m just about 120 pages in.
Wearing 5 different Scent Trunk Original Editions from travel sprays this evening, as I’m trying to go through perfumes I’m on the fence about so I can figure things out before the swap meet. Only put on perfume today in the last hour, around 5 p.m., because the Zoologist Civet I put on last night was pervasive through today too.
Is pervasive good for your enjoyment of Civet?
Yes, I love Civet so am happy to have it on me for a good long time!
