Heeley Rose Aria ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 April 2021 6 Comments

Niche line Heeley has introduced Rose Aria, a new unisex rose fragrance.

Rose Aria captures the scent of a fresh garden rose with a distinct oriental base. The airy opening notes of dew-laden Rose Centifolia are accompanied by fresh notes, almost reminiscent of green apple. Musk, amber and sandalwood elevate the delicate layers of rose, that once airborne leave a distinctive trail of scent and secret admirers. Like music that can be measured by the vibration of audible sound waves, a perfume is often measured by its ‘sillage’, the trail of scent that the wearer leaves behind ‘en passant’. The greater the sillage, the more exquisite a perfume must be.

Additional notes include green leaves, galbanum and saffron.

Heeley Rose Aria is available in 100 ml Extrait de Parfum.

A new Heeley – my interest is peaked. Even if a rose cenitfolia scent isn’t something I have been desperately waiting for, I do appreciate the brand overall.

I have definitely not been waiting for a rose with fresh notes that smell like green apple 😉

“The greater the sillage, the more exquisite a perfume must be”? Not really following the logic there.

I am always up for an interesting rose scent but they lost me at “green apple”. Even “almost reminiscent” is a big nope.

And for me the “green apple” is the hook that will land this on my to test list, even tho I have dewy rose frags more than well covered already. Funny how different noses can be.

It really is! I like the smell of baked apples (as in Brandy), but that “fresh green apple” smell that’s in most everything these days really sets my teeth on edge. Obviously a lot of people like it, or it wouldn’t be so ubiquitous.

      Pyramus, ditto on both counts.
