Azzaro The Most Wanted ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 April 2021 7 Comments

Azzaro has launched The Most Wanted, a new woody oriental fougère fragrance for men. The Most Wanted is a flanker to 2016's Wanted.

The newest addition to the Azzaro Wanted line is The Most Wanted Eau de Parfum Intense. This men's cologne is sensual and daring, with a blend of bright cardamom, sweet toffee accord and masculine amber wood. This fragrance is for the seductive and adventurous man, ready to take on all challenges.

Azzaro The Most Wanted is available now at Macy's, in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

The Most Wanted, Intense. I don’t know whether to laugh or grimace! Pixel once sent me a sample of “Spicebomb Night Vision,” which I found hilarious. This? Goodness, who are the young men (do any old men hanker for this bottle?) who spend their hard won shekels on this? The marketing is so alienating for me, the scent is a massively distant second consideration.

The notes don’t sound half bad to me. But that bottle!! And at this time. Can a company be that insensitive?

This one, way more than Spicebomb, now strikes me as just a bad idea.

BUT, few of these fragrances are developed for the US market, and you could argue that we’re about the only place where this would seem massively insensitive.

Exactly, re: the bottle. I positively recoiled. Personally and aesthetically, I have never cared for guns. But at this moment? I believe this bottle is in poor taste. If not for the bottle, I would’ve been curious about the scent!

      Can’t argue with that!

There’s nothing about “amber wood” that’s inherently masculine.
For some it smells like nothing (which might read as ‘masculine, come to think of it…), others feel like they’re drowning isopropyl alcohol. To me it’s functional, dry wood that can take on lots of different angles depending on the context it’s placed in.

    “Sweet Toffee”, though?

    Sheer machismo!
