Moschino Toy 2 Bubblegum ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 5 February 2021 8 Comments

Moschino will launch Toy 2 Bubblegum, a new fruity floriental fragrance for women. Toy 2 Bubblegum is a flanker to 2018's Toy 2, which was a follow-up to 2014's Moschino Toy.*

The notes include candied citrus, lemon, orange, bubblegum accord, cinnamon, ginger, peach blossom, black currants, rose essence, cedar, ambrofix and musk.

Moschino Toy 2 Bubblegum will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

*And if you really wanted the original Toy, the one in the teddy bear, as of this writing it is back in stock at Moschino, $110 for 50 ml.

This really doesn’t sound like my sort of thing at all, but, boy, does that bottle look irresistible. It also actually looks like the perfect bottle for the juice described.

It does. And perversely this is more appealing to me than the original Toy 2, which just sounded a bit dull.

Toy 2 smelled dull and like a functional product to me. Such a pity as I LOVED the bottle. I think this one is gorgeous too though I would have preferred a slightly translucent head, I think…

Is cedar the obligatory note that makes everything “unisex?!?” I don’t like what I think is the cedar note in so many new perfumes. With that note list, I don’t see why it was needed. In spite of my better judgement, I do like bottle the best of the Toy bottles, which are a bit too campy for my taste. (But then I like the Fresh “Windex” bottle…) I hope to give it a sniff.

I’m not a fan of cedar either. It almost always turns into a giant hamster cage on me. Bleah!

And what in the world is ambrofix? A flanker to ambroxan.
