The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 5 November 2020 7 Comments

In case you can't afford a bottle of Charmed, here's a relative bargain: the 2020 Pretty Purrfect Bubble Bath from Avon. "Avon is celebrating the holidays, Parisian style! Introducing our chic limited-edition collection full of vintage charm and romance. Bubbles and purrs…voilà! For purrfect pampering, pour 1-2 capfuls into running water and purr with delight. Cat-shaped bottle. Fruity floral scent." (Last year, they did pink and black.) Currently $34 for about 700 ml.

So $20 last year for the cool pink and black ones and $34 this year for a green one? So 2020.

But guessing last year, they were on mark down the day I posted. It would not be like Avon to raise the price that much. But I don’t know for sure!

$40 on the website, $34 if you go through a rep. I can think of 5 little girls on our gift list who would love this, but not at that price point. C’mon Avon!

Reminds me of the Max Factor SophistiCats of the 60’s. Although I bet it’s bigger.

And I think Avon has been making these for that long!

I wanted to buy it last year but missed, and they all sold out. Let’s see if this year I can catch a sale (not paying $40 for sure since I just want a bottle and don’t care for the product).

I instantly recognise the art form here: Art Deco. I love Art Deco!! The slender proportions, especially the elongated neck
