The (almost) daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 8 October 2020 14 Comments

Speed smelling is so 2019. This year, IFF is going slow, with "... the theme of “Luxury, Calm, and Pleasure” (after Baudelaire’s “Invitation to the Voyage”). The luxury of creation without looking at price tags. The re-connection to oneself and to suspended time. The rekindled pleasure of re-learning what they already knew, seeing with fresh eyes, away from the frantic trance of day to day. Join them in the Slow Smelling, close your eyes and partake in their imagined worlds: Luxury, Calm, and Pleasure, indeed." Slow Smelling 2020, with 10 ml fragrances by Fanny Bal, Nicolas Beaulieu, Caroline Dumur, Jean-Christophe Hérault, Bruno Jovanovic, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Delphine Lebeau, Domitille Michalon-Bertier, Julien Rasquinet, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, $185 at Luckyscent.

I’ll have to ask at work if there are any chance for this to land on my working desk…

You must be very lucky in your work if you even have a chance of this crossing your desk!

The luxury of creation without looking at price tags…I wish that could be true of my buying as well.

Indeed. Although my father once said to me, that if you can buy anything then nothing is really valuable. So, since I won’t be filthy rich, I console myself with the joy of the small luxuries I can afford ?

I’m sure that line was meant to be indicate that the creators had freedom to use whatever materials they wanted, or something like, but agree, mistake to leave it in the description of the product you are selling for almost $200.

No, I figured that’s what it meant. I just thought it was funny.

Overall, I think it’s good value. You get 110 mLs of perfume for $185 (~$16.82 per perfume) and they are in travel spray size!

I wonder if they have any additional info on the YouTube channel (there was a link in BusinessWire release). It is also available in auparfum online shop (https://shop.auparfum.com/boutique/coffrets-olfaction/speed-smelling/slow-smelling-2020/)

Annoyingly, they also have the 2018 and 2019 kits. This may be very bad for my wallet and cupboard space.

Sorry, forgot to clarify I posted the link because it is probably cheaper for ppl in Europe to buy from there, it is the shop of Nez collective. I love LuckyScent, but not shipping costs and taxes.

Why when I try and go to Luckyscent I’m getting a pop-up that says they want to import a “keychain” from my apple id?
I’m not going to do that and can’t find anything online that says they’ve now changed their site access. Is this a virus or scam?
I’ve bought lots of things off Luckyscent so am very confused at this new development.
This is NOT a comment on Luckyscent, just wondering if anyone knows the deal-io?
