Oh my goodness, thrilled to see that RHS Wisley has made it across the pond to your ongoing garden thread, Robin. My latter teenage years were spent in a small village near here, & it was one of my late mother’s favourite places to visit. I hadn’t been since then (more years ago than I’d care to admit!) but went with friends a few years ago when they were still living in Surrey, & it was just as gorgeous as ever, albeit with many changes/improvements since my last visit. The gift shop is fab, & I bought a pair of miniature green wellies sporting the RHS Wisley logo as a souvenir! I hope everyone enjoys the footage & thank you, Robin, for bringing back happy memories.
I’m so glad someone here knows the place, and it does look absolutely gorgeous!
Between your Wisley article & the definitely worth reading review of (original) Diorissimo on Persolaise’s site (https://persolaise.com/2020/04/christian-dior-diorissimo-review-edmond-roudnitska-1956.html#more-4938), I have had dearly held teenage memories awoken twice in two days! I did mention your Wisley footage when I commented on Persolaise’s article & also said I’d mention his article on here. Thank you, Robin, it’s been emotional!
Thank you, what a lovely piece on Diorissimo!
