Diptyque Eau Capitale ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 2 December 2019 10 Comments

Diptyque will launch Eau Capitale, a new chypre fragrance.

This lively chypre fragrance fully embodies the essence of the Paris. An excess of lush roses precedes the freshness of bergamot notes, accented by bright pink berries. Its undertone is patchouli, bringing together a fragrance at once defiant and free. For the artful design of Eau Capitale, diptyque and Pierre Marie drew their inspiration from the Parisian architecture and the distinct style of Art Nouveau.

Eau Capitale was developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux; additional notes include ylang ylang, cinnamon, akigalawood, georgywood and ambrofix.

Diptyque Eau Capitale will be available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum and in a solid perfume compact.

I sounds wonderful..just not the price point..I heard it is something around $240..even for 75 ml edp, I think it’s a lot.

It shows as $240 at Holt Renfrew, but I assumed that was CAD. And it looks like that’s the same price as the other Diptyque EdPs at HR. (The EdTs are cheaper)

Yes, it should be $190 USD like the other edps I think.

It would definitely be interesting to see what this is like. I enjoy both rose and patchouli very much!

Picked up Tempo at CdG duty free. If you’re going through anyway, it’s a much better deal. Some of these I see for $165 here are there for 113 euros ($125 or so USD). Have to recoup that travel cost somewhere!
