Happy Almost-Friday! It's also the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Maria Candida Gentile Lankaran Forest. Why don't I own this?
Reminder: on 10/18, wear a fragrance by Maria Candida Gentile, Maître Parfumeur et Gantier, Memo Paris or Miller et Bertaux if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter M.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I’m wearing MPG Racine, which goes well with todays choice of image. Racine is an elegant vetiver and I confess I like it better than the beast that is Route du Vetiver.
My husband used to wear that. I love it. A beautiful vetiver!
It’s such a great scent. And so versatile.
I needed some comfort and peace today, so I’m in Tam Dao.
This has been quite the week. The last two days at work were very busy, I had a research paper due and I got an upsetting call from my mom yesterday. My beloved granny fell in her nursing home Tuesday night and is in the hospital.? She is okay but they discovered something my gut instinct told me weeks ago needed further investigation. Since I am not her POA for healthcare and live 250 miles away, it didn’t get addressed. Now I am kicking myself for not being more adamant about her well being. The good news is that she says she feels fine.
On a happier note, I just got off the phone with my son who talked to me for almost an hour. He sounded so good, and happy. That was just what I was needing this morning.?
This is a rough week for you! I hope your granny will be ok. Don’t kick yourself too hard. I think our heads and other people will often overrule our gut. Good luck on the paper!?
Thanks lillyjo! This is so true, I just hate when I find out I was right about something and no one listened.? so frustrating.
lillyjo is right. being an advocate is tough. go with your gut.
Hope granny better soon.
Thanks apsara!?
That’s a lot on your plate there. Good perfume choice.
Thanks Calypso. It’s so hard to watch a loved one age. Confusion and short term memory loss can be dealt with, but it breaks my heart to imagine her in pain or suffering.
Sending hugs and glad that your granny will be okay.
Thank you Petunia. I’m happy to have that hug today.☺️
So glad your Granny’s going to be ok, and lovely that u had a long catch up with you’re son! Hope the weekend is quiet for u.
Thank you mayfly. That phone call was like a ray of sunshine this morning!? Looking forward to a relaxing weekend, my daughter and I are going to try a new apple dumpling recipe.
I get ya. I’ve had that same gut thing and regretting I didn’t say anything- more because I didn’t want to be alarmist. Now I’ve decided I’d rather be alarmist and be wrong.
I hope she’ll be ok! Sweet about your son ?
Yep, I said something but apparently I wasn’t “pushy” enough. I will know better next time.?
Talking to my son always puts me in a good mood, even got a “I love you too mom” as we hung up.☺️
I get ya. I’ve had that same gut thing and regretting I didn’t say anything- more because I didn’t want to be alarmist. Now I’ve decided I’d rather be alarmist and be wrong.
I hope she’ll be ok! Sweet about your son ?
I hope your beloved granny recovers quickly. Falls are always a hazard when one becomes frail. She’s now in good hands for a complete checkup hopefully.
Thank you Aurora. Yes, my greatest fear is she will fall and break a hip…hips have both checked out well and I hope the nurses are taking good care of her.
Sending hugs and get well wishes for your grandma.
Thank you cazaubon.?
Glad you got a nice long chat with your son, that’s lovely.
And of course adding more good wishes to your grandmother!
Thanks Robin!
Try not to give yourself too hard of a time. I learned the hard way there is no right way. If I could have do overs, the consequences might be better or they could be worse. Not POA puts you in a pickle. Peace and hugs.
Thank you AnniePerfumes!
Ouch! I hope things get better. I was my mom’s POA since my dad passed in December 2014. Up until June this year, I thought the POA was only for financial stuff but in fact, I also had the healthcare POA. With that said, I don’t think it would have made a difference had I known it sooner.
Is is possible for you to be the Responsible Party? While that doesn’t confer the right to make decisions, it at least gives you some standing if the nursing home needs to contact someone to discuss a situation. I hardly think that the nursing home would stay silent on an urgent issue. I do not have the legal background to give you assurance that what I’m telling you is accurate, but it is worth a shot.
Great information! I’m keeping this one in my back pocket.
I will look into this. I had not heard of Responsible Party. Thank you!
Glad to hear that your beloved granny will be OK. I know how upsetting it is to be far away from a loved one when something like that is going on. Please don’t beat yourself up about it.
Thanks Jalapeño. I remember you posting about your mom and being far away too, it is hard.
Sorry to hear about granny, but thank goodness no broken hip or anything like that. What a nice call with your son. That helps.
Thanks LizzieB, yes thank goodness no broken hip.
Talking to my son always puts a smile on my face?, even when I’m feeling down.
Good morning Y’all!
Can’t help myself…..I’m back in Prada Infusion d’Iris. It’s just perfect in my opinion!
It truly is perfect!
I’ve been on the phone with Apple support since 9 AM. And we just hung up.
This is how my morning has been!
I am in a Asian inspired dressed, with beautiful flowers and butterflies so I thought it would be fitting to wear Kenzo flower. And I’m drinking Matcha ? tea
Psssst l2SG, Read my post!!
Grazie!
I hope they were able to help! We’ve been having computer issues at work for the past week and it is so frustrating.
My computer is old and I have a lot of issues with upgrades..
Thankfully after 2 hours all is well with the computer (and me)
TWO hours. Wow. Glad it worked though.
Sounds perfect on you!
This is my first time trying anything from Kenzo. I got this during the freebie. It is very soft on the skin, but it does have a bit of projection initially.
I know where you got it. From me! I hope it suits you. It sounds like you’re wearing the right outfit for it
Oh!
Well thank you!
It’s getting some good use today and perfect with my outfit du jour
Lovestosmellgood,: PSA for you and others:
Teo Cabanel has Alahine on a great sale right now. €57. 50 mls.
I received their email today.
I remember how much you love this and have been looking for a good deal myself.
You smell great Angela!
Oops, wrong spot. Sorry!
I sometimes wonder how many of us will be doing some very random replies in say ten years or so 😉
That doesn’t bode well for me since I have a head start. ?
Thank you Petunia.
Grazie !!!!
Prego.

Wow is this one a spicy beauty in the most perfect way.
Yes, I should own that one too…or one of her carnations, now I can’t remember which was my favorite.
Spicy carnations are a great choice for this time of year.
Ormonde Jayne Vanille d’Iris sample today. quite nice. I really and very partial to all her scents I have sampled so far.
I love all her scents too, that base is heaven on my skin.
Francesca Bianchi Angel’s Dust. Wow. This is a beautiful, iris-y, powdery, perfume.
Oh cool that you are trying more of the line!
sounds like something I would enjoy..
Tell me more
House twins, i am wearing Under my skin. I guess it was you who mentioned and wore it earlier this week 🙂 thanks for reminding me of this beauty. I dug out my sample this morning and I really enjoy it!
Oh yes. ? Glad you are enjoying!
Angel’s Dust was a sample that was with my order. I’m reminded of Misia EdP. Also reminds me of By Terry Ombré Mercure. I’ve read reviews comparing AD to a Guerlain (don’t remember which). It’s lasted about 6 hours. I dumped the contents into a spray decant, so what got onto my hands, plus several hearty sprays, it’s now a skin scent.
I need to try more from this brand!
They all sound intriguing.
Btw longevity of Under my skin is more than 12 h on me. With two small sprays
And when I walked into the bathroom last night to brush my teeth (after a 16h wear), i suddenly smelt the orris very strongly upfront. Funny how change of environment also changes smell perception.
Incense dance-off on my wrists from the swapmeet: Plein Jeu III-V (Filippo Sorcinelli) on my right, and the better known Zagorsk on my left. (Now, ask me how many times I checked the labels to make sure I had written the names correctly!)
Ha! Do you like the Sorcinelli (not even attempting to spell that entire reference!). I have a small decant of Unum’s LAVS. It is powerful but I really like it. He know incense.
I do like it, but it is strangely under-powered. I wound up dumping the whole dauber on my arm–there is really no sillage and even the scent itself is fading fast. The Zagorsk, by contrast, has some sillage and is still detectable a couple of hours later.
You know, I may never have tried Unum’s LAVS. That was the one that started out a room spray and was adapted into a perfume? Or am I mixing it up with another perfume?
I am not sure about a room spray but could have been before I discovered it. My memory is of seriously recreated/captured authentic church (mass) incense, the types used to scent cardinals robes and such
as part of ceremonial events.
I think there are or were also stones with which to burn pellets on as a part a kit. That may be what you are referring to.
IIRC LAVS was made to scent the vestments of the Vatican clergy or somesuch.
FWIW, I thought you wrote “I’m still delectable…” ???
With the right perfume, that is not an incorrect statement! ?
It’s another day at work (leaving shortly for it) and will have to wait for a few hours before I can wear any perfume. But it will be a squirt of LADDM on my ankle. Then it won’t come into contact with the phone and no perfume transfer. I am happy that I took a personal day tomorrow and can spend the weekend wearing what I want.
Have you thought about spraying your chest area, under your clothes? Just a tiny spritz?
Have you ever tried wearing a perfume bracelet, like the Diptyque rose one? I imagine they would stay under the radar, and if someone noticed you could take the bracelet off. Also, rose scents , In my experience, seem not to get so much hate from non perfume wearers because rose is familiar and pleasant.
https://www.diptyqueparis.com/en_eu/p/eau-rose-perfumed-bracelet.html
Have you thought about a different job?
2nd and last day of the training at work.
I wore Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom.
And it wasn’t so bad.
The training or the perfume?
Sampling Mancera Wild Fruits which definitely doesn’t seem destined for my buy list. Will make chocolate chip banana bread later. Fortunately for my husband, he’s married to a professional massage therapist so I’ve been working his shoulder (along with him icing it and taking ibuprofen) and we’ve got a hot tub soak scheduled for tonight
I love getting a good massage, but have often found that a good massage therapist is like a good doctor. Few and far between. Hope your client is appreciative of your care!
Baking twins! I just took my chocolate chip banana bread out of the oven.
I hope your hubby feels better soon!
Tigers Nest by Memo Paris. Good stuff!
Oh boy do you smell great! I love that.
I treasure my decant.
Ditto that! you smell great!
Totally agree
It’s a favorite and was a great match for a rainy, dreary day.
Indeed it is good stuff!
Parfums de Marly Casili from a sample. I started radiation on Tuesday and I’m not supposed to wear scented products to the cancer centre, but applied just a dab and hopefully it will fade by the time I have my appointment. I will reapply when I get home because this smells delicious.
Best of Luck today scentspirit.
Thinking of you, ScentSpirit!
I hope it goes well!
Good luck with your treatment. Sending a hug your way…it will reach there by Tuesday!
Good luck, hope it all goes well.
Good luck with the treatment!
Good luck today ScentSpirit!
Take good care of yourself afterwards, I understand radiation treatment is tiring.
Sending good vibes for your treatment!
If you were my patient you could wear what perfume you want. There is no scent police in Germany… There will be some fatigue, but otherwise i hope you will tolerate the treatment well enough.
My dad finished radiation a few weeks ago, and he is 94! So I know you can do it 🙂
Awesome, Robin, that is encouraging! My 93 year old mother was diagnosed 2 days after I was and recovered from her surgery even quicker than I did. She made me feel like a wimp.
Wow, what incredible timing. I am the internet equivalent of speechless.
Good luck and take care!
When I had cancer treatment, it was the chemo that was difficult. The radiation didn’t cause discomfort until much later, with much longer damage. I underwent chemo during the same 9 weeks as the radiation, and all perfumes nauseated me. The scent restriction at my cancer center was a blessing!
Best of luck to you, ScentSpirit!
Thanks for the good wishes, all. I haven’t had any side effects from the radiation yet, although the radiation oncologist said the tiredness and sensitivity might kick in by the end of next week. The worst part is having to go every day, five days a week until the end of November. But at least it will be all over and done with by Christmas.
Seeing this Friday am. Hope it went okay and side effects are minimal during the treatment period. And…that perfume is a comfort instead of nauseating,,,,
Best of luck with your radiation treatments! I’m glad to hear that they won’t be horribly drawn out.
Best to you?
Just read an email from L’artisan – looks like they’re axing some stuff:
https://www.artisanparfumeur.com/en-gb/goodbye-to-old-friends.html?utm_source=RedEye&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=OCTOBER%202019&utm_content=UK_SECRETSALE_171019&dclid=CKi6g4jfo-UCFdkGBgAdNvMF7g
Safran Troublant, Seville a l’aube, Drole de Rose and Traversee du Bosphore are on there. Crap!
Wut?
Exactly.
Looks like lot’s of the 50ml bottles are going, but those above are only available as the 100ml they’re getting rid of.
I might have just ordered backups of TdB and Safran…
Yikes! And Tea for Two. These scents will be gone forever?
I think it’s just the 50ml bottle of that one they’re getting rid of.
Interestingly all these scents are available for their full prices on the French site. No mention of their disappearance at all. I wonder why that is.
Safran Troublant seems to have been on the chopping block several times already!
Looks like Timbuktu was also listed on that site, too. Glad I have a bottle of it.

Perfect incense perfume for a very windy day in Nee York City.

I posted late yesterday so I am posting this again today and a few other times when I have relevant news to share.
This is open enrollment period for Medicare. Please don’t be seduced by the lower cost of Medicare Advantage (Part C). Unless you KNOW you will continue to be healthy and nothing catastrophic will happen to you, stick to the traditional plan Part A and Part B and get medigap. Part D for drugs comes with both plans. I will repeat this again since I am posting late today and there are many ads out there touting Medicare Advantage. The profit motive for Medicare Advantage is extremely high; don’t become a victim. Please note that I am not suggesting Part A and Part B will not deny coverage but Medicare Advantage, with its profit motive, has incentives to deny by default and hope there is no dispute or appeal.
You smell great. It’s quite windy here in San Diego too.
Thanks for the reminder on Medicare! You recommend Part A, Part B and medigap. Is there a particular medigap insurance plan you have found to be good?
I never did a comparison so don’t have a recommendation other than to say before my mom’s somehow changed to Medicare Advantage, hers and my dad’s medigap was through Blue Cross / Blue Shield.
I have several suggestions:
1) check to see if Consumer Reports has ever done a review and check out their best rated. Just be careful in that quality may vary from state to state
2) get pricing from whatever provider is available for your area, categorize each into a high / medium and low band, then compare the bottom two of the high category and the highest two of the medium category. Try to see if you can get the pricing over the last few years. Those that jumped the most are red flags as these probably had the sickest / oldest patients and those that did not increase at all are probably ripe for an increase.
Today was definitely a good day for an incense perfume!
It was perfect!
Givenchy III with a cup of Irish Breakfast tea.
You smell great.
Ummagumma!?
Woot!! Love Ummagumma.
You smell delish!
Ummagumma and Wazamba have to be 2 of the most fun perfume names to say.
Ha! And I always have to add ! to Wazamba! It looks wrong without it ?
20 pounds gone!! wowzer, if I don’t say so myself:)
A spray of SL Ambre Sultan just because it’s so beautiful.
??????
You might have already said, but what are you doing differently for weight loss?
no sugar, no bread, no carbs, no rice, no starchy anything.
I don’t eat meat or chicken so lots of veggies to fill me up, small amount of salmon.
fruit, protein drinks, small meals throughout the day.
It’s been since Sept. so it’s slow, but that’s okay.
It felt kind of great to slip into a pair of jeans today.
Wow, that’s awesome! I’m looking into eating healthier for me and my daughter.
??? Congrats! Since September is quite quick, so kudos!
Fantastic!
Nice, good for you!!
Congratulations, apsara!
Adding my congratulations! That’s great..
Great news apsara! Congratulations!
Aqua Allegoria Lavande Velours for a cold, grey, windy day.
My niece just moved to Brooklyn on Tuesday, which makes me really happy ?. We had her and her friend over for dinner last night and my husband made a delicious dinner of shug (Yeminite chimichurri, basically, with cilantro, parsley, lemon, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and cardamom) marinated lamb, fennel and orange salad, and, smoky, crispy brussels sprouts. Dessert was Nutella rugelach from a local bake shop. Sooo good!
I hope you have lots of fun outings with your niece. Double trouble!!!
Ha! Thanks ? I told her we need to make a point of seeing each other more than once a year.
Wow – I want your dinner!! YUM
We went to a cookbook release/author talk earlier this week, so the recipes were from there. The author is a friend from my youth and was also my roommate briefly in the mid 90s who went on to become a food writer and cookbook collaborater. She was a great cook then!
Yum! It is nice to have family nearby.
It is! I don’t have much family out east, at least anyone I’m particularly connected to.
Heh…a friend of mine from NY but who lives in SF would be pedantic and tell you it’s “back East” and “out West”. She’s always correcting me on that… and I just roll my eyes.
That food sounds delicious.
Your dinner is mouth watering!
It was tasty!
I will move to Brooklyn if your husband will make me that dinner.
He likes cooking for people so much that he’d probably be willing to drive it to PA for you ?
Your dinner made me drool! Sounds so delicious! ?
Under my skin
By Francesca Bianchi
I dug out my sample because someone here mentioned it this week
I cant remember who, but i thank him/her for reminding me of this one….its fantastic!
I can finally smell again after my recent bout with flu. Pierre Guillaume’s Myrrhiad. Very partial credit for a fragrance beginning with M?
Plus credit for smelling good…
Thanks. Working from home in bathrobe – might as well smell wonderful! 😀
glad you are on the mend
Glad you feel better! Myrrhiad is yummy.
Hurray for getting your sense of smell back! ??
Robin, your perfume sounds wonderful. I just read your review. I would love a list of good forest perfumes as I haven’t come across many. Maybe a forest friday CP?I did love that Vagabond Prince Enchanted Prince perfume that I sampled. Wearing Miller Harris Wander, green and fresh, like a morning spent weeding.
I have a small dabber sample of Enchanted Forest and like it so much.
I would enjoy a forest theme too.
Great idea!
The Enchanted Forest bottle is really pretty! Have been wanting to sample, since I’ve seen it mentioned around.
A quiet day at NST! Wow, I should have been all over this week’s project but I’ve been mostly commando this week with bad allergies. Today is not so bad though so perhaps I’ll spray something later. But I know I’ll be commando all weekend, as we are going to visit friends. My friend claims to be allergic to perfume, but not to her daughter’s perfumes (“because they are ‘fresh’ scents”), just everyone else’s. Mmm hmm. Oh well. We enjoy their company very much, it will just have to be scent-less 🙂
I could be wrong but I am sensing sarcasm. ? My allergies have been wicked this fall as well. I hope you get some relief soon.
Oh just a wee bit of sarcasm. Yeah my allergies this fall have been waaaaay worse than usual. Hope yours get better soon, too!
It is a shame people throw around the word “allergy” so much. I don’t think there is anything wrong with saying you are bothered by perfumes, or heavy perfumes, but saying you are allergic to them when you don’t mind others you like better, well.
I?this. I’ve got some allergies needing an EpiPen, but perfume?
Oak moss did burn my arm and make it blister, but MY fault. I didn’t dilute. Duh.
This. And of course there’s my brother in law who said it bothers him but I caught him faking it when I put on truly unscented lotion – he just saw me unscrew a lotion tube and he immediately reacted ?
You must have let him have it Julia Sugarbaker style. ?
Yes!?
Too funny. I need to keep the peace. He is a nice guy overall.
A surprising number of people don’t actually know what a true allergy is/isn’t. A lot of people think that any unpleasant response means they have an allergy. I see this all the time with patients with regards to medications they say they’re “allergic” to.
This is true. As the daughter of a nurse, I have been trained how to answer this question accurately. 🙂 No allergies, but xyz medication causes abc discomfort/reaction.
I also have allergies. Thankfully, nothing that requires an Epi-Pen. But I still get P.O.’ed when people misuse the term.
I forget to bring mine with me half the time. Always have a perfume sample, at the least.
Nice to see you, Jalapeno!
On theme with a small M – Map of the Heart No 4, Gold Heart. It’s a milky, spicy thing that I didn’t expect to like from reading the notes (spices yes, milk not so much), but is actually rather pleasant.
House twins. I’m in Pink Heart. Supposed to be narcissus, but turns into a jasmin-y thing soon enough. Very fitting for the Pink, while I’ll always associate narcissus with Eau de Narcisse Bleu.
The National Weather Service put out their winter forecast prediction. The headline says warmer and wetter winter. If you read the whole prediction, though, it basically says, that they don’t really know. Lol,
Sotd is Jil Sander no. 4, thanks to a generous Nster, I’ve had this since June, it’s been waiting for fall for me to enjoy. It reminds me of a softer, smoother Halston.
Ha! When the weather people totally get the forecast wrong my husband will ask if they even know what they are talking about. Apparently they don’t.?
Tell your husband that you guys are my new weather people. You’re more accurate!
They can’t predict two days in advance, what makes them think they can predict a whole season? Environment Canada is the same.
I know they can’t, I don’t know why I torture myself looking for clues, when I already know it will be cold and snow and ice!
We just are trying to be hopeful!
I discovered No. 4 this summer – really like how it smells and you smell great!
I would like a wet and cold winter. ❄️
I’d settle for warmish and dryish.
Your new snow tyres will keep you safe!
They better!, as long as there’s no ice. Lol
I can’t really remember what Halston smells like but it was huge when I was in my teens.
Here’s hoping for more rain and less snow.
If I did a side by side, they might not smell alike, but I get the same feeling. Something like buisness glamorous, if that makes sense, lol
I love Halston. I had a bottle waaay back when.
Huh. I somehow missed that NWS prediction. Oh well, I wonder what the “Old Farmer’s Almanac” says?
My view on it is, You got a window? Open it.
That will give you an accurate prediction. 🙂
Ineke’s Evening Edged in Gold really fits today’s mood, but I wish it were more powerful. I find it exquisite, otherwise. I’m in search of a gorgeous osmanthus scent that doesn’t disappear so quickly, if anyone has any suggestions.
Amouage Journey Woman
Thanks for the suggestion!
Rahele…
Straight to Heaven, By Killian.
Excellent choice.
In Acqua di Parma Profumo.
Coquillete Paris Sulmona. I was expecting it to be a bit stronger, like Ambrosia (which is a dup for SL Louve) but it’s pleasant. Basically a bitter almond/marzipan scent.
Heh, you and your sweet tooth for perfumes ?
It really wasn’t sweet or nuclear enough. I want to be suffocated with sugar, like Profumum Vanitas. That stuff lasts for weeks on clothing. You really get your money’s worth. 🙂
Currently scentless, planning on wearing Byredo Rodeo, a soft floral but smoky leather.
That sounds lovely!
In Maria Candida Gentile’s Exultat today, and quite enjoying its dark woody violet qualities. Relatedly, I’m finding her perfumes quite difficult to track down at the moment. All the usual sites seem to be sold out, apart from her website. Normally I’d be quite happy to buy direct but she charges 50 euro, which seems excessive.
Twisted Lily sells that line. At least, they used to. I bought Sideris from them.
Yes, that’s where I got all my samples from but they don’t seem to have many of the actual bottles in stock.
Indigo Perfumery has some of her line. I just checked. Some scents are sold out but they have some full bottles. Just keep scrolling.
Thanks! 🙂 I didn’t see her on the list of brands there but the search function has helped.
Scent Twins!!!!!!
You smell great! 😀
I’ve been meaning to say I adore your gravatar!
Thank you! 🙂 I didn’t make it sadly
I really wanted to wear MPG Santal Noble today but just couldn’t eke any more droplets out of my prized red bottle. I don’t have the heart to throw it away, either. It still smells divine. Instead I wore SL Santal Blanc on one wrist and Santal Majascule on the other. They’re both too sweet. I like a medicinal, herbal, dry sandalwood. SB has a touch of cinnamon and SM has that SL dried fruit. They’re both acceptable but not my holy grail sandalwood scent. Still searching.
You can unscrew the top (at least I can with my MPG bottles).
Have you tried Champagne de Bois from Sonoma Scent Studio? That one didn’t seem sweet to me (but I have a really high tolerance for sweet).
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! It’s been a cold and windy day. Sure made it hard to get out of my nice, warm, cozy bed this morning. Lillyjo’s weather from yesterday roared in out here with a vengeance.
SOTD = Dior Poison Girl EdT. I opened my bottle of it today. It smells the same as the sample did, but doesn’t seem to last as long on me. ? Weird.
Bummer, I hate when that happens.
It is annoying, for sure!
Maybe dryer skin?
Not sure what’s going on. Maybe I should have grabbed a bottle of the EdP instead? Or maybe “more is more” with this one?
Sorry about that weather. Just a heads up, tonight we are going to be below freezing!
It might just be the weather interfering with the perfume longevity.
Yeah, I heard about Wind Chills for the first time this fall on the radio this morning.
My house is now at 65 degrees. I am going to wait until the weekend to see if I need to turn on the heat.
I figure since I have a cat on antibiotics, it might be a good idea to have the heat on.
Lankaran Forest is so good, isn’t it, Robin? You smell great.
I’m in MCG Noir Tropical today. I like it a lot, though not as much as the Lankaran Forest I wore Tuesday.
I’ve had a busy few days. Went to Koreatown to eat and explore for the first time yesterday with a new friend. Had a lot of fun and ate way too much.
Today met a contractor at the new house to discuss new interior paint and new tile. Then drove over to Pasadena to check out a doggy daycare/hotel recommended. We have a trip back to NM for a weekend coming up and I want a good place for Nacho to stay. I’m pretty proud of myself- that’s an hour from Palmdale and three freeways haha. Not bad for a girl from Alabama! 🙂
You should be proud, that’s some crazy driving out there!
Enjoy your trip back to NM!
That’s awesome!
I’m impressed!
And I think Noir Tropical is one I have not even tried…so glad you like Lankaran Forest better.
Driving in SoCal can be frustrating, but I found it less stressful than driving in most east coast cities! Sounds like you are doing great.
Curses! I was supposed to be home already in time to peruse the Solstice Scents Fall launch but here I am stuck inside the train that moved back away from my stop without any announcement whatsoever.
If you’re wondering why I’m not doing it on my mobile device, it’s because once I start doing it, it will become a shopping slippery slope so no can do.
I hope you get home soon!
Yep..was delayed 35 minutes!
Ugh! And Argh! I hope that your train is on its way by now, or better yet, that you are at home.
I’m home. The conductor made a nonsense announcement about a switch problem. We backed up to the previous station and then went forward again. I bet the engineer was distracted and went ahead without waiting for the go signal and had to back up to trip it or it would mess up all the trains after the one I’m on.
one I WAS on…
Did your train ever move?!
It was in motion most of the time bit going the wrong way! I am home now!
So did you order anything? The Wolf one sounds appealing.
Lankaran Forest is so good, isn’t it, Robin? You smell great.
I’m in MCG Noir Tropical today. I like it a lot, though not as much as the Lankaran Forest I wore Tuesday.
I’ve had a busy few days. Went to Koreatown to eat for the first time yesterday with a new friend.
Sorry to post twice yet again, Robin. Good grief!
No worries!
Believe it or not, I don’t recall trying Lankaran Forest. Twisted Lily did not have a tester the last time I was there.
I liked Noir Tropical with its vanilla musk goodness but it has a screechy drydown. I gave away my FB after decanting some for myself.
Pressed repeat and wore L’Heure Bleue edp. I have a few more sprays then yesterday. I’m sending a touch of ‘band-aid tonight’; I like it!
Part 2 of project 2 is on so I may have to go into the office tomorrow (on my day off). Hopefully it’s only a few hours, not all day..
Interesting… I don’t ever recall a “Band-Aid” note in L’HB.
L’HB smells like Playtex rubber gloves on me.
I’m in Odori Iris today. Decant thunk.
