It's Guessing Game Friday (again)! Our community project for today: describe your perfume to us, OR, give your perfume the name it ought to have had, and we'll see if we can guess what it is. Thanks go out to Glannys for the suggestion!
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I ought to have been called Eau de Tranquillité. (Update: Elisa P guessed it, I'm in Comme des Garçons Ouarzazate.)
Reminder: on 8/9 we'll celebrate National Book Lovers Day...wear a fragrance inspired by an author or a book or a character in a book.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is a clue in more ways than one. (Update: top image shows details from Comme des Garçons garments shown on the runway in 2018.).
Worn by a Redemptoristine sister?
Bonus:
I might switch it out this evening for something else –
I’ll ask my mum.
Habit Rouge? No idea about the bonus yes.
*yet.
It’s 7pm now here in the UK and I have switched to my bonus scent so here’s a hint: it’s a family affair…
Habit Rouge Dress Code
Right to keep it Guerlain, but older…
Shalimar? Mitsouko? Jicky?
“Shall I Ma?”
Got it
Shalimar??
I see austenfan already gave this answer.
Yep – I meant to put this right under austenfans comment above, but heck, you can both have it!
Yes. Habit Rouge it is.
You’re good at this Glannys!
Yes she is…Glannys, you need to be available in the evening when I am working on crosswords 🙂
😀
She really is!
Thank you! As I said, I love this CP.
Di Profundis for the bonus?
Nope!
La Religieuse?
Glannys has it!
‘Gurl’sOnARoll!’
I’m thinking something with incense – Avignon?
AH! Ok I see – wow what a great clue
Kilian Sweet Redemption?
Sorry, Glannys has it.
Bonus still up for grabs though…
Bonus?: Truth or Dare
Nice answer. Not the one though…
Parfum de Therese (bonus)?
Another good answer. But not right.
So I won’t take forever to see guesses among the comments today, I’m repeating myself here:
I ought to have been called Eau de Tranquillité.
Cool Water?
No.
?
He gets me. 🙂
Dzongkha?
It’s certainly my “Eau de Tranquillité”!
Good guess, but no.
I confess I tried to suss it out by looking at the image filename, but I see you anticipated my gambit! I’ll guess Timbuktu.
HA, yes I did!
But adding…several clues in the image. Most of the guesses here don’t reflect the image at all!
I didn’t even think to inspect the image until seeing Regina’s comment, and now I am so pleased with how clever you are, Robin 🙂
Oh, I am not clever, BobH whips these things out and it takes me ages.
But I did do polka dots and asymmetrical — both CdG clues!
AND, I posted this article and then immediately wrote my comment, and BobH STILL beat me to the first comment spot, ha! I suspect he has surveillance devices in my office.
I spent an hour on Sunday composing 9(!) of these clues so I just had them ready to go. It’s so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again so thanks for hosting it and thanks to Glannys whose idea it was. ☺️
BobH, you should just do one for us every week…keep our brains working.
Ah, if I were more of a fashionista, I would’ve done a better job of spotting your CDG clues 🙂 I agree that BobH has been quite clever! Most of the posts here are a bit too clever for my feeble brain….
My brain has just combusted!
Silences?
No.
Moon Drops ?(Is that still around)
After the Sea of Tranquility
ooh great guess
No.
Luctor et Emergo, People of the Labyrinth?
Ah, good guess, but no.
Here, this will give it away: the largest circle above shows detail from a single garment that appeared on the runway a few seasons ago.
There are at least 2 other things about the image that indicate my brand, although not the name of my juice.
The color pattern looks like the CdG either Avignon or Ouarzazate. Though the red looks more Avignon.
Ding Ding — Ouarzazate it is!!
I Am Trash?
No. Sorry if I was not clear in the comment above — the garment was made by the brand that made me.
Takin’ the redeye.
Vol de Nuit?
I was thinking that my clue was either way too easy or way too hard, but you got it in one!
Vol de Nuit is so much more romantic than a redeye flight.
So true. I thought about cluing just with “Redeye” but was worried people would go down the photography aisle and start guessing Olfactive Studios fragrances (Autoportrait being one I could have used that clue on). Can’t decide if I prefer being more obvious or more opaque in cluing.
Just “redeye” would have me thinking about gravy!
Crunch-crunch pom-pom.
Now you guess!
La Fin du Monde?
Nope
Candy Kiss, Prada?
Cold, very cold.
First clue: Is it either: Iris (knowing your favorites) for the iciness and ‘crunch” of walking in the icy covered snow… OR crunch as in a carrot?
Is it I love les carottes?
?
I am a sleeping abode. I am heavy.
I appear cold as ice or as a frosted glass of your favorite summer slushy.
And THANK YOU Hajusuuri as I am also a free sample from ‘The Generous One’
Stab in the dark: Chambre Noir?
Good Guess, but no. I was recently reissued as part of a second coming out affair. I’m unusual and bracing. ;0)
Aura? I’m thinking about the bottle
Clever, but no. I was one of 4 in the second reissue.
Very androgynous too.
And I am a tad minty.
Oops, I should say I look “minty’ but – a ‘true gentlemen’ would want to own me and I sound Danish.
Really stumped. I hoped somebody else would figure this out by now! We need a new poll tomorrow for the unguessed scents.
Great idea Robin, I only guessed a few of them and am so curious.
Ice Station Pineapple from Smell Bent?
Oh man, I haven’t even EVER heard of this one, you guys are all gurus!!
Unfortunately, not the one.
16°46’24.53″N, 3°0’26.71″W.
Timbuktu?
Clever. Timbuktu!
Correct! Timbuktu. ?
Nice.
Clever!!
As per Angela “rotting peaches, rainwater, and mold” in edt form.
Mitsouko
Mitsouko?
Miss Dior
Oops. Mitsouko, yes.
One of the deadly sins.
Envy?
One degree less serious?
Must be Covet!
Got it!
I like your answer!
Lust?
A theological question: if it’s True Lust, is it still a deadly sin?
I only knew about Lush Lust, not the ELDO one. Thanks!
Even worse, lol
Sloth?
LOL! Does Zoologist make a Sloth? If not, they should.
That wou!d ne great
Came to mind was Egoiste, but that’s not it. Love the clue for Covet. Given this list, makes me think a great CP would be: sins, transgressions, peccadilloes, and bad habits.
Nice idea!
My SOTD is their best sandalwood. This is not IMHO; it’s a fact. You may disagree, but whatever. I don’t really care about your opinions and you’re wrong anyway.
Santal 33 le labo?
Not the one!
Santal Majuscule?
Nope!
Santal Royal?
Not it!
Santal Blush?
No.
Samsara?
Not it.
Schiaparelli Arrogantissima?
Wow, that’s obscure! But, no.
Imperial Santal?
Nope
Tam Dao?
See below ?
Chanel Egoiste?
Yes!!!
Haha, nice! I was racking my brains for something called “High and Mighty Santal”
VERY nicely done Elisa P!
?
Perfect!
Who needs furs when you can wrap yourself in woods? Look for a number.
CDG2?
Nope.
Something from Bois 1920?
No, the number in not in the name of the house. The second sentence was added to narrow down the options, because there are several scents fitting the first sentence.
10 Corso Como?
No, but one of the main notes is the same.
Byredo Seven Veils
I really like your answer, but no. Correct main note, and you are getting closer with the name.
The number is not an important part of the scent. It is often dropped from the name.
(31) Rue Cambon?
No.
However, the name of my SOTD can also refer to a place. Unusual spelling though.
The house is French and indie. Quite prolific, several collections of perfumes.
Gotta be a Pierre Guillaume, then. PG Cadjmere maybe?
Ding ding ding!
Whew ? I think we’ve canceled each other out ?
Yes, we are even. 😀
It ain’t just a river in Brazil.
Amazone?
Indeed!
Amazone Hermes
Correct!
River of Doubt?
This sweet lime, tonka, vanilla and light floral perfume has a name with no letters.
4711?
Nope!
Lush 25:43
We have a winner! ???
1957?
Bear guessed it – Lush 25:43
Spirit of an oak tree
I love that description. It should be the actual name of a perfume.
SL Chene??
Dryad by Papillon
Yes ☺️
?
This’ll be easy. I’m concluding Sledgehammer Week with the fruit juiciest bomb ever, dancin’ like John Travolta.
Pulp?
Yeah baby!!
Go ElisaP
Nice!
I really don’t give a (homophone).
And no, that is not a gay communication device.
I didn’t realise that Eau de Spam was now available.
?
?
Poor Terry Jones is no longer able to remember but it is my favourite sketch of his.
Daim Blond?
?
F***king Fabulous?
?
I initially thought this as well.
Something from the Fcuk brand?
?
Idole by Lubin? Cartier Carat?
?
Wit?
?
?
I am lmao @ ur emoji choice!
My perfume today is a musk drenched amber-floral with just a hint of crisp winter snow. What is it?
Desirae, a hint towards the name? The description is not saying anything to me.
L’Eau d’Hiver?
Jo Malone White Moss & Snowdrop?
4160 Tuesdays Doe in the Snow?
A perfume gift for my June birthday: my favorite flower, by way of a Florentine friary.
Santa Maria Novella —-Garofano?
Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Colonia Rosa?
Yes, Monkeytoe!! 🙂
White Noise
Elevator music?
Nope
Silences?
No, it is loud not quiet.
Music for a while?
No.
Hummingbird?
No.
Fracas?
YEsssssss!! ?
?!
High stress day. I sprayed and forgot the name of what I sprayed. So maybe you can tell me.
It is a discontinued scent from the line of Barney’s fragrances by niche designers (not necessarily perfume designers). The designer died after the fragrance released. She designed clothes.
It is summer rose scent.
Is it one of the Kate Spades?
L’Wren Scott
Ah, would not have thought of it but that has to be it.
Thank you. That is it.
CdG Grace?
heaven forbid! Grace is still with us, no? 😉
Is she? Omg I think I see stuff on the internet and it’s wrong. There needs to be a database like “Dead or Alive” lol! Sorry, Grace 🙂
There used to be one called exactly that! I wonder if it still exists…
And not a designer, to my knowledge?
I believe she is still alive, and I believe she licensed a fragrance for Commes De Garcon.
I hope there won’t be repercussions for not waiting until the next Friday the 13th to wear this scent.
Superstitious Frederic Malle
Yep, you got it.
This one is definitely a dabber for me. It’s so strong! I still haven’t figured out how I feel about this perfume. I wonder how many more wearings it will take me to figure it out.
My scent is already quite aptly named. No need to change it.
Today I’m overlooking Gulf of Naples, tomorrow I’ll gaze at Tyrrhenian Sea. Breathing in a jumble of flowers and citrus.
Carthusia Mediterraneo?
Carthusia — Aria di Capri, Capri Forget Me Not, Fiori di Capri?
Or any other Carthusia? 😉
HA — I typed so slowly, and stopped to look up names…so didn’t realize you had beat me to it!
Fiori. Wish I was there….
I would so join you!
My brain hurts from this week! My perfume perfume/geology knowledge is terrible, I was beyond stumped by LizzieB yesterday.
My clue is a haiku:
A place in the east
That’s filled with peace, to dream
Contemplate and be.
Kyoto?
Yes! ?
Tam Dao?
Austenfan got it, Kyoto 🙂
I threw it off by adding the “translation” bit…
Well, I’m in the Midwest and have only been to California once and that was Santa Cruz so no knowledge of canyons. The Mamas and the Papas had a very clever reference 🙂
Santa Cruz is one of the better places to go in CA. It’s unique.
I’m an honorary Midwesterner… mom and husband both from Wisconsin.
(The Canyon thing was really rather obscure…I don’t know L.A. well either. Those two canyons happened to show up in recent movies I saw, so they were in my head…)
Top notes in my perfume are orange blossom and petitgrain. Could be anything really. So, here are my other clues:
Book of Revelation
Dumbbell Nebula
Katherine Heigl character
Spanish Alphabet
My perfume shares something with these four things/people that they also have in common with each other. If you can figure out what they have in common, figuring out my perfume will be easy.
I’ve got fallen star but I’m stopped at Spanish alphabet
Hey can we pass hints??? I have sat on a few…
if so,
Could it be 27 Dresses for Katherine Heigl character clue?
Yes! You are exactly right w that clue. I’ll add to the clue list. Another clue: Cobalt. You will see a pattern.
very random guess: Moonlight in Heaven? The bottle is rather blue.
Man this one is difficult. There are much better warriors about on NST today than I (I don’t care if the correct usage demands ‘’me’, ‘I’ still feels more proper) Is the bottle blue? Does it have an apple note that is prominent?
Is it Dilletante? I’m thinking things with “ll” in them (though I guess it’s not the book of Revellation…)
Ha I thought Dilettante from her saying what the top notes are, but I didn’t have time to explore the other clues given.
Angela is on the right track.
I think I know what is in common, but I am not sure about the scent.
Pierre Guillaume Limanakia?
Floris 27?
Oud 27?
Nope, wrong top notes. And my idea does not fit the book of revelation.
Following Glannys’s lead: Le Labo Fleur d’Oranger 27
Oh the notes look right!
I still do not know how the Book of Revelation fits in.
Yes!!! That’s it. Every clue is related to 27.
Book of Revelation (27 books in the New Testament–BoR is the 27th)
Dumbbell Nebula (also known as Messier 27)
Katherine Heigl character (27 Dresses)
Spanish Alphabet (27 letters)
Cobalt (27 on the periodic table)
Excellent!!!!!!!!
See below. 🙂
Above?
Ah! I was looking for 27 IN the Book of Revelation… 🙂 Typical mistake.
SOTD: The sea spray on my face is as crisp and refreshing as the margarita in my hand as I relax with friends on Tom’s sailboat as we head to the sandy beach of our favorite Caribbean island . . .
(Oh, who am I kidding? What’s on my face is sunscreen, not crisp nor refreshing but rather greasy; what’s in my hand is a bottle of water; and it’s my feet that are carrying me, not to a sandy beach, but to the concrete deck of my neighborhood swimming pool. But a girl can dream, right? Besides, the blue sky and sunshine is the same and that water will feel oh, so good . . .)
Happy weekend to all!
One of the Tommy Bahamas?
Perhaps . .
Acqua di Sale? or the one , you know called: ‘Sel’ -something!!
Close but not quite . . .
Set Sail St Barts?
Yes, you got it! TB Set Sail for St. Bart’s for Women (there’s also a men’s version that I’ve not tried.). Set Sail St. Bart’s is a favorite summer cheapie, very crisp and refreshing – like a south-of-the-border 4711.
I cheated by going through each one on Fragrantica to find the lime note for margarita, but this has a straight up tequila note! Fun!
A scent fit for Cesar or possibly a gypsy.
Roma?
You’re on the right track.
Hint… Sauce tomates plus butter.
Ragu?
Great Guess!
Ha! Nope
Another hint…
Tomato royalty
I keep seeing tomatoes with little crowns since you dropped this hint. Having just bought 3 kg of organic cherry tomatoes, they would be little crowns. 😉
Ha!
Contessa?
No sorry. I’m out of clues. It was Roma Imperiale by Profumi Del Forte.
My sotd has me singing an old Campbells Soup commercial.
Mmm, JHAG?
Yes!
JHAG Mmmmm?
And yes!
Good?
?
I think my fragrance’s name is fine, but it could easily have been called Lys Vanille. It’s soft and lightly sweet and just plain pretty.
Baiser Volé?
Nope.
Lys Soleia?
Nope. I should maybe have added that the house is not known for this type of fragrance…but Glannys got it below.
SL Un Lys?
Yep. Winner! Again!
Half of me makes what you need to survive, but the other half destroys your ability to use it.
Acqua di Sale
Whoa, nice clue. But I have no idea!
Ooh, can’t wait to see what this one is! I think my guess is wrong, but I’ll guess it anyway cause I kinda like it… L’Air du Temps, because we need air to live but we all become unable to use it in time…
Nicely done. Even if it’s wrong.
?
Air is a good way to think!! Next clue: photosynthesis.
Aqua Vitae, MFK?
It has nothing to do with water – Regina is closest so far.
L’air de Rien?
Air is part of it.
Hint: photosynthesis
L’air du Desert Marocain?
Nope – think of photosynthesis.
Something related to the sun?
Soleil…
It’s Jasmin et Cigarette. The plant makes oxygen, but the cigarette eventually destroys your ability to use it.
Oh, wonderful! I wish I had thought of this!
You clue makers have really brought your A game today! So many of these are hard.
Agreed! I need 2 Advil already, lol.
At a quick glance, you might think my perfume shook me all night long.
(It smells extra good today. Not an additional clue ☺)
Also not a clue: we’re going to be on the road tomorrow and planning a stop in Chautauqua NY for lunch. Any recommendations, anyone been there?
Back TO Black by Kilian
You’re on the way there…
I have a hunch you’re probably NOT wearing Taylor Swift Wonderstruck, lol.
Tauer ACDD?
You got it! ⚡
?
Fairies,maidens,grass
This perfume this perfume actually lasts
In honeycomb glass
I like easy games!
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphéa?
Yup:) ?
I didn’t know AC-DC had a perfume lol (as usual I got nuthin)
Almost there!
Hint: “at a quick glance” is part of the clue.
Back to Black (though the song’s Back in Black)?
Oops! I though this was ringthing’s own SOTD riddle
It’s her guess at mine above.
Yes, please see me back upstairs, lol.
Go up and get your trophy! ?
I might have been by Beethoven, but then I would not have been as long-lasting as I am.
No. 5?
Ha ha, great guess, but no.
Diptyque Tempo?
Unless there’s a perfume called Prestissimo? 😉
That would be a funny perfume name! I’d rcecommend fortissimo instead!! Sorry, not it.
Coriolan? O’Driu Pathetique? Moonlight something? 🙂
Moonlight Patchouli…
No
Nice tries, but no.
Immortal Beloved?
Is that a real perfume?
Yep, it’s one of my favourites – quite boozy
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Ys-Uzac/Immortal-Beloved-18000.html
Opus I, Amouage?
You’re very close. Opus VIII.
Ha! If you hadn’t said, I was going to go through them. One by one!
?
Yes, that would’ve been a bit tedious, so I decided to forestall it. I had to look up Beethoven’s Opus VIII. It turns out it’s a trio and the recording I found of it (online) takes 25 minutes, so I figured my clue was valid.
Hi All!
It’s Friday and raining, so am wearing Clean’s Rain. I am so busy with prepping for various things that I did not have teh brainwaves for a riddle! 🙂
My ground cherries have started to ripen and I now regret only getting two plants. The flavor is yum!
Are ground cherries those orange things? Do they have another name?
I think they are these, and I have never had them:
https://www.smithsonianmag.com/arts-culture/five-ways-to-eat-ground-cherries-98470003/
I’ve had them in Finland, and they’re delicious. Sort of piquant.
Pale skin exposed in summer
Hermes Rouge?
Not a serious answer, of course.
Wow, there’s actually a scent named Taches de rousseur (freckles).
On a more serious note, maybe Bronze Goddess?
Soleil Blanc?
Peau de Peche?
None of the above
Terracotta Voile d’ete?
White Shoulders?
You got it!
Clean Summer Splash Sunkissed Skin? Jennifer Lopez Sunkissed Glow?
1966 At The Beach?
Britney Spears Bellybutton
(I made this up.)
How about ELDO Nombril Immense?
An Italian indie perfumer created this, named after a mountain range in Asia.
Hindu Kush
Yes!
Without you this perfume spells love
Aww, Louve?
Yes…back at you! Xxx
Good one!
+1
Ha! ?
I’m synching with Basenotes female fragrance forum today (that’s a hint) and it has a relationship with space exploration. 🙂
I’m guessing it’s not Lockheed Martin scent?
LOL no. 🙂
Is it one of the Satellite perfumes?
No, it’s actually Histoires de Parfum 1969 – hippie scent with patchouli, and 1969 was the year of the moon landing.
So timely!
My perfume is the name of a faraway place.
London?
I guess if she lived in Fidji ?
The cue to this answer lies in where Aurora is located 😉
Paris?
I’m actually in London, so that’s not it 🙂
One of the Comme des Garçons incense places maybe?
Bombay Bling?
New York?
Timbuktu?
Demeter New Zealand
Florida water?
Kyoto? Or maybe Timbuktu? Both of those are lovely warm weather scents.
Neverland?
Tennis, anyone?
Gabriela Sabatini?
The Soft Lawn?
No, that is not the one.
Yes, it’s The Soft Lawn.
For Ede97005, I bought ground cherries at the local farmers’ market this past Wednesday. They are the large ones and I look forward to getting them every year. I haven’t tried to grow them, though.
Today i smell like Lavender Chocolate with citrus on a bed of a bit of musky Flowers.
Covet maybe?
Yes!
I’m going to agree with Aurora. It sounds a lot like SJP Covet to me!
Y’all are doing a great job with today’s CP!
My creative juices are a bit off this week, so I went with my instinct, which was to give my scent not a *better* name but rather its equally-plausible-but-inferior-sounding-alternative name: Wanderer.
My creative funk is no doubt partly due to the state of despair I was plunged into after being absolutely blindsided by Wednesday’s MLB trade deadline effery. It turned out far, far worse than I was already afraid of. Guys, I’m dangerously close to ending up on the floor in the fetal position, huffing my bottle of 31RC.??
Have yourselves a lovely weekend, you wonderful-smelling people!
Sorry you are having such a hard time, I’m out riddled so can’t guess your SOTD. I hope your weekend shapes up a bit better than you expect.
Brain dead, too ?
? ????
Or something like this
Yeah, count me in on feeling brain dead!
Oh, austenfan, you’re so sweet’—but I think there was some transatlantic-lost-in-translation humor there, as I was exaggerating about bad news from sports this week.? To explain: the professional baseball league has a deadline for trading players every year (like the transfer windows in footy), just past halfway through the season. My team made a deal at the *literal* last second that no one across the 30 teams saw coming and traded away our star pitcher. It was the most stunning development of the day in the whole sport. So, I am genuinely bummed because he’s one of my favorite players,, but I’m not…clinically depressed.
Even feeling genuinely bummed is not nice but thank you for reassuring me of your real mental state ?
Hey, no prob—it was totally my bad. And like I said, you’re so sweet!☺️
I really wish the Red Sox did something. Like pitching. Even Cashner is a mess. David Price can’t pitch a complete game every day.
Ha, that’d be nice if he could, wouldn’t it!? But, yeah, I know how you feel. Pitching woes, gah!
Sorry about your Wednesday, hope you’re feeling better now.
I’m gonna take a stab at Nomade, Chloe…
???! You’re very good at this BobH!
Thanks! Ah, the perils of being a devoted fan. (To say nothing of the real-life weirdness of human beings being moved around as financial transactions for a sport.) Really, the thing that will make me feel better now is the Astros winning the World Series.
Go Astros!!
Srsly. And I’m saying that as an NL girl!
(…Which brings me to the hope that Greinke’s considerable hitting and base running skills are somehow not entirely wasted by the abomination that is the DH.)
I feel your pain, and I’m sorry. My last favorite player was traded also. It was expected though, since he was really the only one worth trading. Still “rebuilding” sigh…
Oof, who was your fave?
Yeah, it’s bad enough when it’s an expected-but-dreaded trade. But this was so unforeseen it was almost comical—at least as far as watching the reporters/analysts all go ?—because there was *no* reason to think we were in any danger of losing Greinke.
Nick Castellanos. He’s a Cub now.
Oh, it’s an inter-league loss, to top it all off!? Well, now I’ll root even more fervently for the Cubs (whom I like) to go far enough in the postseason to beat the Dodgers (whom I detest).?
Wish he came to the Red Sox. ?
A safe for NST comic link to explain the baseball pathos:
https://www.gocomics.com/drewlitton/2019/07/31
Funny because it’s true!?
Yep. ????
You know, there’s sort of a corollary of this that I believe, too. That is, players on different teams getting into genuine personal beefs is a really bad idea in baseball because, I think more than in any other sport, there’s a good chance they’ll end up playing together at some point. Awkward.??
I’m so bad at these things but…
There are a million reasons why my second perfume was better than my first.
Gucci pour homme 2?
NO !!!!
I’m sorry, I’m sorry!?
Nope…
hint; it’s a celebrity perfume…
Lady Gaga Fame? The song title gave it away for me.
So close..: Fame was the first release!
Eau de Gaga! I love that song!?
DING DING DING we have a winner! Have you tried this one? I quite like it, especially as I got it for $6 at TJ Maxx!
I tried it once when it first came out, and remember thinking it was much better than Fame, imo.
One Million/Lady Million?
That was supposed to go up there ^^
Not this one either.
Wow, there are a lotta comments today!
I’m a flanker. My parent is a love it or hate it scent. I have some of the same notes, but enough is different in my composition that I am my own thing. What am I?
Angel Liquor?
You’ve got TM right, but I am something different.
Angel Muse?
On the right track, but nope!
I’m so bad at this, but I’ll hazard a guess. I’m gonna switch over to the other love-it-or-hate-it pillar and say: Alien Eau Sublime.
Not an Alien, but good guess!
Time for a hint: both lillyjo and Jalapeno have mentioned me lately.
Angel Comet bottle EDT ?
Ta Da! We have a winner! ??
What Bear said, lol!
I sprayed some on at Ulta tonight. I really like it better than the current edp star bottle. It’s still full price, but there’s only one lonely bottle left…
The Comet EdT is at some of the usual online discounters, FYI. It is still full price at Sephora, too.
I will have to check it out!
I’ve also seen it for a reasonable price on Amazon of all places. That surprised me.
SotD = Not a Perfume
Enjoyed everyone’s clues and guesses today.
Perfume people are smart and smell good too! 😀
Seriously! I have to go do the NYer crossword now to rest my brain 🙂
Wow y’all! What an impressive group of clues! Not only do you all smell good, but you are also quite clever folks.
This was definitely my favorite one ever. Thanks to everyone for such a great Friday read!
