The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 27 June 2019 7 Comments

Partially because I am disappointed in The Body Shop's banana products, (smellwise), I'm curious about Briogeo's Banana + Coconut Superfoods Shampoo & Conditioner Hair Pack. "A shampoo and conditioner duo that harnesses the nutrients of fruits to support healthy-looking hair and a nourished scalp." 369 ml each of the shampoo and conditioner, $48 (rather too spendy unless they're miraculous) at Sephora.

Back in the precambrian (late 80s/early 90s), body shop banana shampoo and conditioner were amazingly banana-y with actual particles of un-emulsified banana in the mix.

I did not actually try the newer TBS banana hair products, I only smelled them in the store. But I did buy a small bottle of the banana shower gel, and perhaps because most of my shower gels are now Weleda, Lush, etc, the TBS banana just smells so massively “fake” — every time I use the TBS, I think wow, too bad Lush doesn’t make a great banana shower gel (also possible that they have made one and I just didn’t try it).

Robin, if you may have tried Weleda’s Evening Primrose shower gel, I would love to hear your thoughts; thanks!

I have not, sorry — the Sea Buckthorn one is a staple, and I’ve also tried the Wild Rose and the Citrus.

I bought this set and I love it! A little goes a long way too. Ask the SA and they will make you a sample of each
