The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 7 May 2019 10 Comments

More tea? Why not. "A premier destination for world-class tea, Fortnum & Mason has supplied tea to the royal houses for more than 300 years – an achievement honored by numerous Royal Warrants of Appointment. To celebrate Mother's Day, the legendary British company created a signature blend that showcases black tea from Sri Lanka accented with the fresh flavor of fennel seed, lemon peel, safflower, orange peel and marigold petals." $32.95 for 100g at Williams Sonoma, where the Easter Tea ("Celebrating the arrival of springtime, this signature blend combines low-grown Ceylon black tea with colorful marigold and cornflower blossoms. To highlight its refreshing floral character, the blend is infused with the delicate aromas of elderflower and orange blossoms") is currently marked down to $9.99.

Love the tin, not sure how great their teas are though. I have never tried them.

I’ve used their teas for years and their teas are usually great quality, especially the loose leaf. If they good enough for the Queen they’re good enough for me ! ?

Oh thanks for the tea review. I’m off to order both online, hopefully!

I love the two I buy regularly — Smoky Earl Grey & Countess Grey. I don’t really know the others.

The smoky earl grey is lovely, I love lapsing and earl grey — the smoky earl grey just gives that hint of smokiness without being overpowering.

The ‘Irish breakfast’ is their strongest tea if you’re looking for something strong in the morning,

Their coffee blends are nice too and the coffee tins are lovely but they redesigned them a couple of years ago and they only have loose push on lids now, not screw-on lids any more, which to helped keep them airtight

Same. Hopefully after Mother’s Day they will still have both and they’ll both be $9.99 ;-)
