Another weekend gone. It's Monday and International No Diet Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm accruing early (partial) credit for the community project in Hové Napoleon.
Reminder: on 5/10, wear a fragrance by Heeley, Hiram Green, Histoires de Parfums or Honoré des Prés, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter H.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Fragrance free today as it’s a quiet one at home with my very recently retired husband – was bad enough getting used to having him at home when he was made redundant a few years ago, & I had been retired for a couple of years & loved having the house to myself 9 to 5 Mon to Fri. but this is a whole new scenario! Wore almost the last of my sample phial of Muguet Porcelaine on Sat evening to drink too much red wine with my best friend – really love this fragrance & must get round to buying a bottle. Currently trying to select what I’ll take with me when we visit our friends in Oak Ridge North, Texas at the end of the month – it’s between what I have left of bottle & roll-on of Privet Bloom, Promenade in the Gardens & the as yet sniffed but untried on my skin Yours Truly by Maria Lux (bought a year ago when visiting my brother near Tampa during a one-to-one consultation with the lovely Rob of Uncommon Finds) – slightly apprehensive about this last one given my bad experience with Floral Street’s Ylang Ylang Espresso which I loved until I actually applied it – aforementioned best friend inherited that sample & is now a fan!
therabbitsflower was offering a mini of MP on Friday’s thread, you might want to check and see if it’s still available!
Yes, it’s still available!
Carolyn, if you’d like my Muguet Porcelain decant email me at gmail under my NST username.
That’s such a kind offer, thank you so much, but I really need to work through the remainder of already opened bottles & the Yours Truly before I look at adding to my collection!
Thank you for letting me know.
Good luck with the transition.
Thank you!
Good luck with that transition! Too much wine with a best friend is almost always fun at the time (usually not as much fun the next day for me haha)!
Thank you – we’ve been together more than 30 years but have never been a ‘joined at the hip’ type couple!
1804 HdP
Twins, Bear!
The sun is finally out in New York, and I’m wearing Ostara.
Thank you all for the welcome back messages! It’s a big change to be back at work with two kids but putting on perfume in the morning again is a lovely bonus. I think my nose became very sensitive after all those months scent free because even a tiny dab seems to really make a statement. Happy spring!
You do smell like spring!
Enjoy your return back to perfume!
More sun today, yay! Off to yoga in Tauerville Vanilla Flash.
Sun must be hanging out with you down south. It is acting all bashful up here…. brrrrrrrrr….
I’m in Montréal, not San Diego – the sun here is positively miraculous.
Ahah! Enjoy! Enjoy!
You smell great.
Nicolaï Neroli Intense. Wearing Seville a l’Aube on Saturday made me crave more neroli. This one is more appropriate for my work place- Seville really radiates when I get warm and we are entering the season here where my preschoolers arrive hot and sweaty from the playground to heat up my non-air conditioned classroom.
You smell great!
You smell fresh and wonderful! I am sure that the kiddos will appreciate it!
In Iris Silver Mist for a gorgeous, sunny, cool spring day. I hadn’t worn it in a long time. Such a beauty!
You smell great!
Thank you!?
Fabulous choice!
Thank you! It never fails!
As much as I love iris, ISM is my nemesis
I cannot believe it! But I understand that ISM is a very challenging iris to wear. What is your favorite iris?
To me ISM smells too much like carrots rotting in the tomb, LOL…
If I were to chose one it would be probably Prada Infusion d’Iris.
I should revisit it, I think. When I first fell down the rabbit hole, I tried it because it was mentioned so much but I did NOT care for it. I wonder if my nose has changed over the years.
You should definitely revisit it, even if you end up not liking it!
Glad to hear that you had sunshine today! You’ve been stuck under clouds a lot this spring, haven’t you?
Most of the days so far have been cloudy and rainy. More rain on the way for tomorrow evening. We had a beautiful day today!
You are smelling fantastic. I love ISM!
Thank you, Gail!
Trying Herve Gambs Pink Evidence for partial credit.
It’s a sweet and fluffy lipstick/makeup scent. Definitely iris-centric. I expected to find rose and vanilla here as well (rose with bits of soil actually), but Herve Gambs lists the following notes on their website: yuzu, hawthorn, jasmine, ylang-ylang, violet and iris. Anyway, it’s a pretty, girly powdery lipstick perfume.
That sounds fun, and I like the name.
Yes, the name made me smile. I think it refers to a trace/stain left by a pink lipstick.
Love les Carottes for full credit and full carrots.
You smell fantastic!
I will definitely be in that one this week!
A strong possibility for Friday – that one always makes me smile. You smell great, and carrot-y……
I’m in pHilosykos for cheater’s points. And for the lovely, fresh fig scent, of course.
You smell so good! One of my favs.
Ha, nice cheat!
I have decants of two Honore des Pres scents, but they are lost in the depths of my decant box. Otherwise the only other brand I have is Histoires de Parfums, in a discovery set.
They are probably hiding somewhere with my Spirit of the Tiger
I slept terribly last night, and when I did sleep, I had the strangest dreams. This might be a long day. Luckily it is Nurses Week and today is Dilly Bar day.?Glad it’s No Diet day too! Lol
Sotd is Lea.
Happy Nurses week to Deva, Elisa P, johanob, Catanosmia, and all the other nurses out there I may be forgetting! You rock!?
Sorry about your cruddy sleep, bit Happy Nurses’ Week back to all of us ❤ And what’s a “dilly bar” (autocheck want to make that “silly bar”, lol)?
Oh, it’s a chocolate covered ice cream bar (on a stick) from Dairy Queen. Now I’m wondering if DQ is just a Midwest thing…?
No, we have them in NM and Alabama too! I love Dilly Bars!
Me too! That crunchy chocolate shell, yum.
DQ is amazing! They do have this in NYC now!
Really?! Where?
I know!!! 14th off of 6th.
Good to know! I know they have them on Long Island but I’ve never been to one ?
Ha ha, I had a summer job working at Dairy Queen in small-town Michigan, and have made 1000’s of Dilly Bars in my day! Fortunately, I have not eaten that many of them.
My real love was their Buster Bars–the ones with peanuts and hot fudge in the cup, then dipped in chocolate and frozen and served on a stick. Mmmm.
Buster bars….nom nom nom nom nom…….LOL
I loved those too! I grew up in Nova Scotia in the 60s & 70s. We’d go to the beach in the summer and afterwards ice cream… sometimes DQ depending on what beach we’d visited. In addition they had a chocolate ice cream pop called a Mr. Malty, slushies were called a Mr. Misty, and DQ sandwiches!!! They still exist in Canada too.
I’m in Canada, but I’ve never heard of Mr. Malty! I would have loved that!
We also had Push-Ups ice cream at our local DQ; chocolate and strawberry were great; my sister and I fought over them.
Checking in from Florida, we have dq here too! Dilly bar sounds tempting…
Good to know! I also saw a Culver’s there (Wisconsin based) when I was there in March. Their burgers and custard are delicious!
LOVE Dilly Bars. Reminds me of visiting family in small-town Wisconsin when I was a kid. The DQ was barefoot walking distance from my grandmother’s house.
My husband had a Dilly Bar wagon in his town in WI.
Fun! I have never seen one of those!
The kind with the counter window where you could order, I bet. Which small town…?
Amery. Western WI, a little over an hour NE of Twin Cities. Multiple lakes in the town. And looks like the DQ is still there.
Yep, I know just where that is! My parents grew up in that area, I was born in Hudson and I still have family in that part of the state. Small world!
I have a theory that everyone has a connection to Wisconsin somewhere in their background. My husband is from Neenah (and Egg Harbor).
Hear, hear, to all the nurses!
??
Happy nurses week to you and all of the nurses on the board! This one is a rough one on my floor, short staffed and chock full–putting some miles on my new shoes today!
Good shoes are essential. Hope they get you through the day!??
Dairy Queen and I are going steady. Pretty sure this may be why I’ve fluffed up, but can confirm she’s all over the place. We find each other regularly. ?
Going steady, haha, I love that.? You may need to break up with DQ and find yourself a Culver’s. Their frozen custard is sooo good!
Oh, jeez! Don’t feed my cold dessert addictions! ?
There are some Dairy Queens here in NJ. And a big “THANK YOU” to the nurses here at NST and elsewhere.
It’s a good thing to celebrate nurses! Thank you for your work!
There’s a Dairy Queen near where I live — which would apparently not be far from where irisjasmine lives, either.
They’re a thing that exists in southeastern Pennsylvania. That one’s been there for years.
Wearing DSH (has an H in it, at least!) Taj Garden oil. Very pretty.
I’ve applied some Sweet Jasmine Brown behind my ears and on the back of my neck, the only unsunburned perfume parts I have left! I went to our May Day parade this weekend, a wonderfully creative giant-puppets-and-decorated-bicycles extravaganza, but I was a bit foolhardy on the sunscreen front.
Yuck, sorry about the sunburn! Parade sounds fun though.
Shalimar dusting powder
I love the picture of the day Robin !
Shalimar body powder
International no diet day, I guess there is a day for everything.
It reminds of a story my french neighbor told me. She attended a picnic with both french an american women, the french woman made all these amazing desserts and all the french women ate a bit of everything while the americans refused because they were all on a diet, she told me.. I am american but I would not refuse something that someone put work into making. La dolce vita..
I agree, a small bit of something wonderful is much better than total deprivation.
A small bit of something is always better! Just enough to appreciate!
The French get portion control.
On a flight to Paris, I sat next to the most adorable French couple and while talking about food (of course) the husband gave me an image that I’ve not forgotten and has served me well. He said that the stomach is the size of a clenched fist. I had never heard that but since have researched and it does seem to be true. Obviously, it stretches quite a bit but knowing it’s original size is helpful for me.
Hmmm, this story inspires me to stop and pick up a few macarons for an after dinner snack. I’ve been eating healthy for so long, but I completely agree not to deprive oneself.
Scent twins!
Totally unintentionally I am participating in the CP. Woke up this AM to a freezing damp morning. Weather website says it is now 63 F outside, but still grey and cold. Looking for an antidote among my perfumes I dug deep into my packed away box of winter wonders and pulled out Ambre 114. Voila!!
That’s a nice comfort scent. It smells exactly to me like l’occitane’s discontinued ambre et santal. I wish I had kept my BUB
That one reminds me of Ambre Precieux by MPG.
Eau no, the long weekend is over…
I’m in Memo Moroccan Leather today.
All good things must come to an end. ?
I know, I know [sigh]
Oh no monday! And it is a grey and stressful monday.
At least I smell good hahahha
Iris Nazarena
Keep calm & you smell great!
You do smell great!
You smell wonderful!
Monday is hurting me bad today! LOL (Takes huge slurp of Mountain Dew for hit of caffeine…)
Started out with a sample of Jo Malone Hemlock and Bergamot, and added a bit of Prada Infusion d’Iris Cedre. Powdery goodness going on….it’s light and fresh, and close to the skin. I love these scents!
I bow to Prada. Great choice, I like Iris Cedre for being slightly more woody too
That mix sounds truly lovely!
Chamade parfum from a small decand shared by a generous NSTer. It smells so good!
It looks like spring is finally here in MN. I am excited to prep my small plot and plant a few things- herbs, tomatoes, tomatillos, and garlic chives. The two rhubarb plants are doing great and I am excited to bake with them in a few weeks.
Chamade is great for this time of year.
You smell lovely!!!
Chamade is beautiful.
Good morning! Having a less hectic week than last week, so get to participate again.
Wearing Matin d’Orage and loving it in Spring!
beautiful!
I had a bottle of that long ago and gave it away, but I love it other people.
So happy for sun today ?. I’m wearing another swap treat: Grandiflora Madagascan Jasmine. What a gorgeous jasmine this is!
Since I celebrated no diet week all last week, I shall refrain
wearing the whole kit n caboodle in baby touch, philosophy fresh cream body lotion, and some new apple scented dove deodorant.
You smell like a warm, clean hug!
It’s supposed to rain all week, which is fine because the grass needs it, but it puts me in a sleepy mood. Trying out Smell Bent Bollywood or Bust today. Nice and easy rose-sandalwood.
We are having sun, LOTS of sun, and we actually need a bit more rain! Take advantage while you can!
Rain makes me sleepy too.
Had a great birthday (may the 4th be with you!) weekend with gorgeous weather and a fun Cinco de Mayo – up too late doing dishes after the party, so I am posting what I would have been wearing if I’d been organized enough this morning: VC&A Bois d’Iris.
Instead I’m digging through my bag for samples and so far, looks like the only choice is a dab of Le Labo Lys 41. Not a bad thing.
Happy belated birthday!
Thanks, PL67!
Glad you had a great birthday celebration. Virtual Bois d’Iris is a great choice.
Thanks, Aurora! I love BdI. I recently sprayed some on my bathrobe and it’s so wonderful to put on in the morning. Almost worth getting out of bed for…
So glad it was a great birthday weekend!
Thanks, lillyjo!
Happy (belated) Birthday!!!!
Thanks, Jada!
Happy belated birthday, and I think someone else should have done those dishes! And agree, Lys is nice.
Ha, yes, but we were all working on the clean-up in some way!
Happy Birthday! ?
Thanks, Deva!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your birthday weekend! ???
Sounds like you had a great party weekend! Happy belated birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had their baby today. Had to fly out of the house for a doctor’s appointment. I was going to wear Une Rose Vermeille but all I had in my purse was PHI Une Rose Kandahar. So it’s Phi right now. Really hungry at this point. Might stop at either McDonald’s or Panera for some food.
Ever since I received my back-up bottle of Bas de Soie I have been working on the last 1/4 of the old one. It is an innocuous, office-friendly scent; wasn’t really sure I needed another bottle, but it was a case of a good deal as well as hints that it not might generally available in the future.
Today I am wearing Carthusia Fiori di Capri (my original bottle as I want to finish off this one before opening my new bottle, which I believe is an entirely different formula, so I guess it wouldn’t matter if had two opened bottles.
I didn’t know Fiori di Capri had changed. My bottle is oldish and based on it I would say you smell really lovely.
I got a sample of whichever version was around a couple of years ago. That was a lovely scent.
Oh dear. My beloved bottle is from eBay, so I’ll have to check how a new bottle might smell. I don’t want anything different from what I have. It’s a favorite.
Happy Monday!
1) All babies are royal babies- remember to treat them accordingly! Never the less congrats to the Sussexes!
2) Beautiful weather this weekend. I was supposed to be on a no buy for May, but there I was at the nursery section of the local hardware store and hey- roses on CLEARANCE. Like stupid clearance- $3-$4 for bareroot roses. So I bought 5! Soaked in water for 2 hours, applied mycorrhiza granules, fertilizer and mulch and they are off to the races! *crosses fingers*
3) SOTD: Smeraldo- perfect for the warm spring day today!
4) In honor of no diet day, will have a (non dairy) ice cream in the backyard!
5) BONUS: Oh, Brienne, Tormund would have not done you that way.
I love your number 1! So true
Congratulations on your new rose bushes, may they thrive.
2nd that — what a deal!
Thank you so much! I hope they like their new home.
May your roses thrive! That’s a lot of planting!
It is! But I hope the roses like their new home and thrive happily!
Hello everyone, I had a great time at the casual and fun retirement party my colleagues threw for me on Saturday night! There was a lot of delicious Greek food, a cute cake, some gifts and toasts (but nothing over-the-top), two large sweet dogs, friends and former students, and some small people there for extra activity and fun. Now if I can only finish grading those final 60 papers this week I will finally feel like I’m really retired!
I got my bottle of Indult Isvarya last week (retirement gift to me from me) and some interesting samples from Luckyscent, including two from Marc-Antoine Barrois–both very leather-centric. Nice but leather is just not my thing. They’ll probably go into the next freebie meet. But I got some other samples I’ll rave about tomorrow!
What a nice celebration! And nice gift to self
It sounds like a great party and happy retirement, Calypso.
Congratulations! I am SO looking forward to retirement, particularly this week, which is Finals Week at my college. In about 8 days (after a long weekend of grading) I will be feeling human again.
Raising a coffee mug over here to this new phase of your life, Calypso!
Lovely-sounding celebration, but 60 papers?! Yikes. Good luck with that!
We had the same reaction — 60 is a lot of papers!
Wow, sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! ?
Congratulations! Enjoy your new bottle and your retirement.
Glad you had a nice, relaxing party.
Congratulations!
Is that a pic of Washington Square Park Robin? Used to be my stomping ground, I miss it.
Needed something perky today because its the first day of Ramadan and I had to forego my morning caffeine hit – my brain feels a little fuzzy! I went with Jazmin Sarai’s How You Love. It’s so happy and easy and now that the weather is warmer much more long lasting
Ramadan Mubarak!
Thank you!
I didn’t know Ramadan had started. Congratulations on doing it.
Thanks Aurora – we will see how long I last!
No, it’s Jackson Square in New Orleans, because Hove (who make my perfume) are in NO
Ahh another lovely city
Maybe you need to get up earlier, so you can have your coffee.
I got up at 4:30 am to have breakfast and went back to bed until 7. Coffee that early would have made that harder I think!
Yes it would! And if you got up and stayed up at 4:30, then you’d be having supper and going straight to bed. Ramadan in winter is much easier.
Yes it is! Sunset at 8:45 pm is a killer
My perfume return on Friday was successful! No questions asked.
I did the blind pull from my sample dish this morning and came up with Armani Prive Rouge Malachite, which felt a little dense at first but has lightened up nicely.
Nice, about the return!
Was this the Marshall one? I wouldn’t stress about it in the future – I never had problems returning opened fragrance there or at TJ Maxx
Yep! I never will again!
Glad to hear that everything turned out OK!
Trying another violet this morning, Violette Fume, from my perfume benefactor in CA. This is very nice (must be the fume) and doesn’t remind me of mulch like yesterday’s violet. Mona diOrio and I generally get along.
Fumee, with an accent mark, not fume.
It must be lovely, I bet you smell great. I was wearing Tom Ford Violet Blond this weekend.
Violet Blonde
I just got that one in a batch of samples I ordered. I ordered 6 and that came along as a freebie and was the only one of the bunch that I liked. It’s not something I would normally have chosen but it’s really pretty! You smell lovely!
Concentre d’Orange Verte for me today. Supposed to get up into the low 80s here today and be sunny. This one is perfect for days like this to me.
Finally saw Endgame this weekend (thus was able to start talking to my son again haha). It was sooo good. Between that and Game of Thrones, I’m emotionally exhausted this morning!
Such a great choice, Kelly for warm weather, I have Orange Verte cream which is for the face and body and it smells amazing and long-lasting, with plenty of shea butter too.
After a survey, I will fail at the CP Friday and will end up in Hermes instead, today it’s Cartier Baiser Vole Lys Rose, to my nose a spicy raspberry not too sweet, it doesn’t resemble the original and I wear it less often but like it nevertheless.
A not too sweet, spicy raspberry sounds great to me!
It is a grown-up fruity floral, and the raspberry is just right, not sickly or artificial at all I find, I think the spice effect comes from some kind of herb. It is less long-lasting than the original BV.
Another cold, overcast, rainy morning here so I went with Fleur de Peau to cheer me up. I guess it worked because the clouds are clearing and I actually see blue sky. I wish this would happen on a weekend but I’ll take what I can get at this point. At least I have a wall of windows behind my desk.
You have a magic cloud clearing potion!
Hmmm…Guess I should keep it handy.
A great choice of cheering up scent.
So you are the person to thank for the blue skies today? ??
Here comes the rain again! Went back to sleep after putting daughter on the bus, and of course slept to long. A little grumpy for work now. Coco Noir for the day. Did anyone see Adam Sandlers tribute song to Chris Farley on SNL? It was sad, sweet and funny. I don’t watch Snl anymore, but looked it up after I heard about it.
I can’t stay awake late enough to watch SNL anymore. I’ll have to look it up.
If your a fan of either, you should.
God, what a tearjerker it was! ?
I know. It hurt my heart seeing it, but I think it’s wonderful how Sandler and Spade have kept Farleys memory alive throughout their own careers.
I don’t watch it anymore either but I will look it up when I get home. I love that old crew…Sandler, Spade and Farley. Tommy Boy rates high on my list of favorite movies. Sorry not sorry.
On a side note, I live walking distance to where Chris Farley was laid to rest.
I know, I still watch those movies too. I also really loved Phil Hartman.
Oh bother. If you are getting rain today, then that means it is heading my way later on this week. ☔
Sorry Jalapeno. I’m getting rain through Thursday ?
Aw, that really and truly sucks.
Loving my profuse application of SB Smoked Ambergris. Ahhhh…it just pushes all the right buttons!
Stunning weather here the past couple of weeks! Bright and sunny during the day and cool, dampish nights.
I was in the bookstore the other day and saw one of my favorite authors has just published a new book- a real “tome” of one, too, over 500 pages. It’s $30, so I’m planning on getting it specifically for my Alaska/Canada exploration due to the long hours of sunlight I will have to read by.
I was in my 20’s (a lifetime ago) when I first read him, and even jacked up vision will not stop me from delving into this one. Plus, lifting and holding it will be my daily workout because it’s only available on hardcover now.
Happy Nurses Day to fellow nurses out there. Now stop playing cards and get back to work! ? (I should clarify this! Recently, a politician from Washington (state, not DC) said that “nurses spend majority of their shift playing cards.” She has since received over 1500 packs of playing cards deliverd to her office. Several of the nurses I work with contributed to this gifting. Apparently, Amazon sold out of decks of cards within 48 hours of this statement.
Ha ha, good on them–those nurses–acting so quickly. What an absurd claim that was. Having been through about 8 days of hospital and two weeks plus of rehab, I can testify first hand from the patient perspective on how hard nurses work and most seem in fact overworked and very caring and considerate, in spite of it!
I observed the same when my mother was hospitalized. Well said!
That’s hilarious! ha!
Don’t you just love waiting for a favorite author’s next book to arrive? Sounds like a lovely plan!
Yes, very much looking forward to it. ?
Is the book fiction? What is it?
The first book of his I read was “Of Wolves and Men” when I was 13 way back in 70’s. ?
Here’s a link/review to his newest book. I agree with the reviewer about many things, but especially that his books require time. Like food, they should be read, chewed, and savored slowly. The pity is always that, as all things do, the book ends.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/books/2019/mar/14/horizon-by-barry-lopez-review
Ha! What was the context of that cards comment? I actually really enjoy the image of nurses sitting in the breakroom playing poker, cigars and all…
From the horses mouth:

?
Do not answer her call bell.
? What a bozo! Then she digs a deeper hole trying to backpedal. Typical politician…?
What an incredible lack of clue!
The International No Diet Day is not what I thought it was. I like it, and I think we should be thinking this way every day. Although I do think it may have been more helpful to call it The International Positive Body Image Day
And now for scent, mine being Diptyque’s Essences Insensees 2015 which is a glorious jasmine.
Glorious jasmine twins! I was bemoaning not having any Diptyque left, but the Grandiflora I’m wearing hits me the same way- though a different scent profile.
Agree, that’s a better name for the day.
Hiram Green Arbole Arbole.
Had to work partially both weekend days, do this Monday feels like Wednesday, so I can only imagine how it’ll be by actual Wednesday.
No diet? I can definitely do that
I finally tracked down my sample of that, so may wear Arbole Arbole tomorrow. Today was another Hiram Green though: Dilettante.
How horrid losing *both* weekend days to work!
Love Arbole Arbole. You smell great!
Hang in there Undina!
Maybe Wednesday will feel like Friday?
Prada Infusion d’Iris – it is warming up here so i am switching up my work scent from SJP Lovely. Exciting days
Smelling great!
Beautiful morning today, and we had lovely weather over the weekend, quite stunning considering we’re well into autumn. I’m going to celebrate in 24 Faubourg.
Bottega Veneta, because we have a Cold Snap in Germany. And homemade Pizza for the go diet day.
Bottega Veneta is gorgeous any time of year, IMO.
As is homemade pizza
I have a small Caswell & Massey Almond roll on – tiny little thing. Rolled that in my wrists and then did generous spritzing of Elie Saab L’Eau Couture, which is sweet almond blossom. Probably the sweetest scent I own. Dries down more fresh, though. Very pretty.
Finally seeing Avengers tomorrow. Although I may go by myself…we are loathe to leave kitty alone that long, so my husband may stay home. (He doesn’t really care anyway…the Marvel movies are for me, not him…)
My husband and son finally saw it last night and of course loved it…and I stayed home because they are not for me either!
Needed something with low sillage today since I was standing next to HR this morning at new employee introductions, so I’m taking partial CP credit in Hendley Blond. It’s suede, orris, and osmanthus mainly. Really enjoying it but could definitely go for a reapply at this point in the day.
Were you able to reapply your SOTD?
I promptly forgot after I posted that, so,I just waited until I was home to put on something else. Finished off a sample of Histoires de Parfums Rosam.
SotD = Chanel No. 5 EdP
My personal perfume preparedness project continues with No. 5 on Chanel Monday. Love No. 5!
Went for a walk at lunchtime today to clear my head. Smelled blooming honeysuckle for the first time this spring. It was heavenly. Now I have La Chasse aux Papillons on my mind. The opening reminds me of honeysuckle. Must find my bottle for this evening’s scented ablutions.
Hope all you fabulously fragrant folks have a fantastic Monday!
I hope your walk did you good.? I plan on joining you tomorrow in Assam of India!
I love the smell of honeysuckle.
Bright blue skies earlier today, which was a wonderful contrast to yesterday’s weather. It rained all. freaking. day. yesterday. I hope that there isn’t any more of that in the forecast.
SOTD = back in SJP Covet. That lemon note is what gets me every time. Although, I did smell the chocolate for a bit today too.
The weather has been consistently rainy. Glad that your skies are blue today!
I’m glad, too! All that grey is depressing,
Happy for your blue skies! This spring is not very springy!
I hope that your spring improves! It’s sure taking its sweet time, isn’t it?
I like this a lot, too. Its a really good cheap thrill
SOTD is Pistil Whip from Heretic
Thanks, Jada!
Whoops – wrong place, sorry.
It looked like it was going to rain any time this morning and in the early afternoon, but I got my shopping and errands done, and made it to an appointment in good time. So it was a productive day for me.
Later in the afternoon I ended up doing a lot of weeding and planted a carnation and a wallflower that I got a couple of weeks ago, plus an abutilon that I got Saturday. And the sun actually came out. So I was productive with gardening projects, too.
Scent this evening is Tommy Girl. Cheerful and not heavy. I’m peacefully working at my desktop computer upstairs while the folks are watching the Phillies (baseball) game downstairs.
Have a good week, folks!
I’m glad you got to get out today. Tommy Girl is great for spring!
Sprayed on Goutal Heure Exquise edt tonight after a long day.
I’m very stiff and sore from planting this weekend; everything looks great though so the pain is worth it.
You smell fantastic in Heure Exquise!
Loved everyone’s Monday scents! Thank you to all nurses here and everywhere. I wore Comme des Garçons Vogue 125. Will probably wear Tom Ford’s White Suede today for my Muguet Marathon. I’ll have to go with Hermès on Friday — Muguet Porcelaine, of course!
