Happy Almost-Friday! It's also National Fragrance Day and World Poetry Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I went with Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile (in Eau de Toilette), because SheriG mentioned it yesterday.
Reminder: on 3/22, celebrate the arrival of spring by wearing your favorite spring fragrance. (If it's fall where you are, you know what to do.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is Medusa's Gorges [cropped] by Thomas Hubauer at flickr; some rights reserved.
Iris Nobile was one of my spring week scents last year. You smell lovely, Robin.
I am wearing Pierre Balmain Jolie Madame. Violets and leather – great for early spring.
That is making me crave Cuir Pleine Fleur. I need to dig up my decant!
I did not try that one, but violet and suede sounds like a great combo.
Gorgeous! I almost wore that today. You smell beautiful!
Thank you!
Oh Jolie Madame, how lovely, when I was on a violet quest I ended up loving SL Bois de Violette and vintage Jolie Madame the most. So now I am happy with these two and that’s enough for me.
Happy almost Friday again, wow this week has gone fast! Time always flies when I’m not at work.
I’m in Wit, which definitely smells like spring to me. This one verges just on the edge of being too sweet for me so I have to apply with a light hand. Wondering if it’s been discontinued because I don’t see it on Luckyscent anymore. ? All the other Delraes are on sale right now though fyi.
My girls filled out their brackets last night for March madness. My oldest has our team going all the way of course, but I think she is going to be disappointed. My youngest took the very unstatistical approach of ranking teams according to their mascot. Lol. There was a lot of giggling involved when she was making her picks. Let the games begin!
I’m in Wit today too! We smell fab.
Hey twin! We do!
I ended up swapping my bottle of Wit as it reminded me too much of the citronella candles we used all summer long on our backyard porch. Feel bad as it was a gift from my husband, but he wasn’t a huge fan anyway.
Glad you are enjoying it just fine!
Interesting! I got citronella candle from Aroma m vanilla hinoki.
Yes, that one has it as well!
That sounds very cute 🙂 good luck to them and their brackets!
We shall see!
Thank you for the heads-up on the sale: I was thinking about getting one of the bottles from that brand but didn’t want to pay full price. When I was looking at the brand’s site recently, I noticed that most of their perfumes were marked as “sold out,” and I was wondering if they were going out of business, or were planning the re-packaging. So with this Luckyscent sale I decided not to wait any longer.
If you’re looking for Wit, here it’s still available (full price but free shipping): https://perfumarie.com/products/wit
This week did fly by! Then again, it seems like March did too.
Brigitte…. again. The girls are home until the weekend and I want them to associate this fragrance with me so I am wearing it all week plus I love it!
☺️
I knew you would understand. Hope you are enjoying your own time with your own Bigs
Yep, I totally get it. This week is going too fast!?
How sweet. 🙂
Surprised that neither wants to steal the bottle!!!
Ha! You better knock on wood!
Enjoy your time with your daughters, what is Brigitte like please?
It’s a creamy lilac with supporting notes of grapefruit, violet, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.
Thank you for the description, you definitely have lilac on your mind, I am so looking forward to the lilacs across the street from where I live to bloom.
Happy Holi & Nowruz Mulbarak to all those who celebrate..
I am feeling beautiful in Eau Rose by Dipytique
I have never been a fan of straight up florals but this sample is growing on me. I wish it had more projection & sillage though.
I am back to my normal self today after some rest last night. I have not been salsa dancing for many many years and muscles that I didn’t know existed were sore yesterday..
I wore MDCI Fêtes Persanes last night in honour of Norouz. 🙂
I have not heard of this one, can you tell me more?
Here you go:
https://osswaldnyc.com/collections/mdci-fragrances/products/fetes-persanes?variant=30903591940
Roses are growing on me as well 😉
Salsa dancing! How fun! I would not be moving at all the next day.
Mr. G says Eau Rose smells like “the best bubble bath ever”. It has decent longevity on me, but not much projection, it’s true. It’s better sprayed somewhat lavishly, imo.
Ok, I have a spray sample so I will spray with abundance
OOh! Muscle memory is a thing, and I feel for you! Plenty of water and rub your legs!
You smell great!
Thanks for the advice! Maybe a hot soak in the tub will help with the soreness
Nowruz Pirooz to those who celebrate!
I have such fond memories of learning about and celebrating when I lived in Iran.
SOTD is Tigers Nest for dentist visit.
Drat, 2nd year in a row that I meant to mark Holi in the sotd, and forgot.
National Fragrance Day — woot-woot! This is our day, ladies & gents 😉
SOTD: Vetiver Tonka; I wouldn’t say this is a Spring vetiver but an overcast, rainy 46 fits it well.
But we get it every day!
We do! Still feels special, though.
HI all, SOTD is Chanel’s vintage No. 19 Extrait. It’s starting to turn so I’ve decided to use it or lose it.
Robin, I love today’s picture! It reminds me of a silk kimono I recently saw, with hand-painted iris at the hem. 🙂
Thunk it
I think I see a ‘thunk’ coming! 😀
I literally just laughed out loud ??
*giggles*
???
Mmm, silk kimono.
Oh, then I probably want the kimono ?
I love the SF Asian Art Museum. It’s in an out of the way area of SF (between commuter buse routes), but I find it very enjoyable!
You would have loved the Kimono – it was a soft gray (lilac undertone) with cobalt iris at the hem. It was totally swoon-worthy!
I was there when it was still in the park…would love to see the larger museum.
Thanks to everybody wishing my mom a speedy recovery! I’ve passed on the greetings. She has two friends sitting with her today so I can work on some farm accounting stuff at home.
In Delrae Wit today, and smelling gorgeous.
So glad she is with friends, and of course you smell great!
More get well wishes for your Mom.
Good to hear that your mom had friends with her today.
National fragrance day – that’s every day around here. :-). I was planning to wear Masque Milano Tango but now Robin has me craving iris. Will spritz on some VCA Bois d’Iris for yoga class. Saw a beautiful double rainbow this morning!
Wow, double rainbow! Extra good luck for you!?
Also, how do you like Tango?
It’s nice, a bit animalic for the first hour, then it settles down into a nice ambery skin scent.
Yay for double rainbow, and good for you for going to yoga….I have been bad about yoga lately.
Look at those beautiful irises! I am also a beautiful iris today in VCA Bois d’Iris! I had forgotten how many great spring scents I have–I know now what I will wear tomorrow 🙂
Last night, I went to a cocktail party with my boyfriend’s coworkers. I hadn’t met most of them, which is why I wanted to go, but I’m very bad at being social–hey, is it still introvert week? I feel it must be, because I’m feeling acutely socially exhausted. Anyway, I chose my outfit VERY CAREFULLY to look effortlessly chic (yes, my boyfriend is an engineer, but the party was also going to have a bunch of admin/business people, who all know how to dress!). I think I succeeded, if I do say so myself 🙂
I ended up having a really good time at the party and I really liked a lot of the people my boyfriend works with and their significant others, but I am thrilled to not have to hang out with anyone tonight 🙂 Phew!
Sounds like you did quite well!
Those types of events exhaust me as well. I really like people but one-on-one is much more my speed.
Agreed, same here 🙂 being a social butterfly is hard! Though I do enjoy it on occasion.
I’m happy to hear that you had a good time last night. I sometimes dread those kinds of events, too. But sometimes they are fun. I just can’t tell ahead of time which it will be.
PS. Got good news about Spooky kitty’s blood work yesterday after I posted. Liver, kidney, and thyroid values were all OK. There were some slightly elevated white blood cell counts, but the vet said that could be due to allergies or irritable bowel.
That’s GREAT to hear! I hope it’s something trivial that can be easily taken care of! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Yay!
National Fragrance Day? Neat. I didn’t know there was one, but that’s every day around here, anyway!
SOTD is Bvlgari Omnia. Movie of the day is going to be Us, I’ve been excited for it since it was announced. Booked in for the first show!
I’m planning to see Us this weekend too!
Me three! I’ve made a point not to watch any trailers or read about it so I don’t go in with any preconceived ideas.
You smell all cozy in Omnia, Dorsey.
Omnia is such a beauty.
Gorgeous photo up top! That super-saturated purple makes me happy.
Playing along with the CP in Prada Infusion de Vetiver today.
Makes me happy too…
My theme this week is jonquille and today’s fragrance is not centered around it, but does contain it as a note. It’s the sadly discontinued La Haie Fleurie by Jean Claude Elléna.
My tea is water, I forgot my thermosflask at home, more’s the pity.
You smell is great and very springy!
Maybe you should keep a tea stash at work along with EBP? (emergency backup perfume) ?
That would be a great idea but I don’t work in the same place everyday, so I would need a lot of tea and a lot of EBP’s. I’m doing quite well on the water, I just feel stupid.
It must be nice to have a change of scenery in your work environment.
What a lovely perfume, my favorite jasmine although it is fleeting on my skin. I hoard my decant.
My SOTD is SHL’s Black Gemstone. It’s not really a spring scent but neither is the weather spring-like. It’s cool, dark and rainy today.
It’s not even warm enough here to be Black March weather.
I’m in vintage Chamade today, from my gold cage canister. One of my all time favorites, and perfect for spring. I had to pick a good one for my smellfie!
Smelfie – Love it! ??
Smellfie..?
Thirding my appreciation for “smellfie” 🙂
Fourthing!?
Y’all are so sweet but I’m not even close to the originator of that portmanteau!
Inspired by Glannys to where an iris leather scent, I’m in Keiko Mecheri’s A Fleur de Peau. Every time I wear this one it smells different. I LOVED it the first time I sampled it (I mean I was this close to ordering an FB), but since then its mileage has varied. Right now it is a bit of a hot mess with sharp leather notes. So weird. So weird!
“to where” ? Good question.
My experience with it varied too, from awesome to cloying. Too bad is is not working today for you.
It’s calmed down now and is lovely.
National Fragrance Day! Glad I wore something worthy.
Bois des Iles again. Tomorrow something especially springy.
You smell great!
You smell wonderful, Robin! So many spring choices in my arsenal that it was hard to choose this morning, but I ended up in FM Eau de Magnolia (discovered thanks to the lovely Laura). Tomorrow will likely be either Mediterraneo or Nicolai’s Fig Tea. Or Chanel 19. Or Le Temps d’Une Fete. Or Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Or … well, you get the picture. 🙂
I have a hard time choosing in spring, too. Favorite perfume season. 🙂
Hey Twin! It’s my SOTD as well. We smell great.
I refreshed my scent about an hour ago since I could no longer smell it. One of my coworkers just commented that it smells like fresh cut grass in here. Oh well. ?
Wow – I want to know where your coworker lives – best smelling grass ever! LOL!
Right! She doesn’t like florals and makes passive agressive negative comments when I wear them. Sometimes I wear them purposely. ?
Fresh cut grass smells GOOD to me! It’s the lawnmower fumes that I have an issue with.
Agree!
I’m wearing Eau des Merveilles today. I needed a quick pick, and it never fails me. Fragrance Day is my kind of holiday – how did I not know it exists?
I find the seasonal community projects hard, because I live in a place that doesn’t really have seasons beyond “not cold” and “stinking hot”. Yes, there are changes in the vegetation and animal life, but it’s so subtle compared to the transition between seasons when I was growing up in Canada. However, I love hearing about everyone switching their fragrance wardrobes and bringing out well-loved scents that had been safely tucked away until it’s their time to shine.
Those irises are so beautiful.
Same here, we’re still firmly in winter where I am. I’ll pick a spring scent tomorrow though and call is wishful thinking.
We are not in spring here either, really.
Oh my word, just read Robin’s opening sentence & am ashamed to admit that, despite it being National Fragrance Day (though not on this side of the pond, so that’s my excuse!), I didn’t leave the house today so am not wearing fragrance! Was in town on Tuesday so did pop by l’Occitane & try Herbae, albeit on a blotter – it smelled gorgeous, but as I was hot & bothered on a spectacularly unsuccessful shopping trip, I didn’t bother to spray onto my skin, although I have to go into town to pick up a jewellery repair within the next couple of weeks, so will go to the shop again & definitely do so.
On another subject, the Ylang Ylang Espresso I picked up in the Floral Street shop in London in November is being donated to my best friend when we get together for (no doubt!) far too much wine on Saturday evening. I had so looked forward to wearing this fragrance, particularly because it’s so far from my usual choices, but after two attempts I just can’t get to grips with it at all.
I hope Herbae makes its way across the pond. Haven’t seen it hit my local store yet.
Oh, but it is here too. (The Perfume Society is doing a thing all over social media: post a “smellfie” photo of you and scent today. Maybe win prizes).
I don’t partake in social media & haven’t had much interaction with The Perfume Society site, only occasionally if it’s been mentioned here, but will investigate further – thank you for your response & info tip.
It’s a bummer when perfume sniffing opportunities get waylaid by bad moods or bad circumstances.
Oh it is indeed! Thankfully my next trip to pick up jewellery repair I know exactly where I’m going & what I’m doing, so will be a lot less frustrated than I was last Tuesday!
Woke up this morning in Faberge Tigress Musk cologne. It’s old school and pretty skanky, something that I would wear alone but I really enjoyed it. I am awash in Lyric post shower.
I have to ask, does your bottle have the fuzzy top? My Mom had a bottle when I was a kid; i always picked it up just to feel the top. ?
I got a decant through STC. I am thinking of getting another decant because of the sale.
Happy National Fragrance Day!
1) I am in Infusion d’Iris by Prada, which is just perfect on this day.
2) Did a particularly energetic HIIT class very early this morning. I forgot how much you feel like you are being chased by pride of hungry lions in these classes! I had to shower afterwards and put on my face & scent at work because I was still throwing off sweat after toweling off!
3) And the rain returned- which is fine! But now we have plum and cherry blossoms on the trees, which makes me happy!
You smell perfect.
Celebrating national fragrance day, in one of my favorites. Alien leather version. It’s not very springy here yet.
Currently 37 degrees, and cloudy. I will wear spring tomorrow.
I didn’t even know there was an Alien leather. It sounds appealing.
It’s gorgeous, and alas, it was a limited edition.
Yesterday was so busy I wasn’t able to post or read posts until this morning. But I smelled amazing in Wit, and I see a couple people wearing that today. Tuesday night walking home from a concert, I could smell daphne wafting down most of the street I was on. It was intoxicating, and I just had to wear Wit the next day.
Today I wanted mimosa and chose Diptyque Essences Insensees Mimosa.
How was the concert?
Pretty fun, and we didn’t even get home too late! Sorry for the late reply.
I’m wearing Aedes de Venustas, probably more of a summer scent (doesn’t rhubarb ripen in summer?) but I love it anytime. It’s a little gray and drizzly here but there are trees starting to leaf and some with pink or white flowers on them. I got woken up early by an unfamiliar noise, only to find both cats pouncing and rolling on crunchy plastic bags they had fished out of the wastebasket. Silly kitties.
I wear ADV year round, just because I love it.
You smell great, despite naughty kitties.
I think rhubarb is early spring, at least where I am in the UK where it’s very popular. I bet you smell great.
Tsk tsk, naughty kitties.
Yeah, kitties like wastebasket contents a lot! That’s why I keep some items behind locked doors. Keeps the furry mischief to a minimum.
I glanced at the SOTD page before I got dressed and wound up in . . . Iris de Nuit. The power of photography!
But probably only works if it’s a pretty picture of flowers…
I am wearing Galop d’Hermes and drinking a cup of orange bliss tea.
Today is my daughter’s 25th birthday, and I am wondering where the time went.
Have a wonderful day everyone !
Happy birthday to your daughter!
Happy birthday to her!
Thank you !
Happy Birthday to your daughter! Galop is really good!
Torn between a rain scent and a spring scent today, and wound up going with Vanille 44 for a rain scent. For the first time ever, it is _all wrong_ for the day. Should’ve gone Spring-y…
Drat, sorry!
I wore Satori to a community meditation last night and could still smell bits of it in my hair this morning so am wearing it again today. Perfect for a drizzly, cool day!
Perfect. I wanted to wear Satori today but couldn’t locate my decant. Lovely!
Sotd = Eau de Narcisse Bleu
A very spring-like scent, though it works for me in summer and warmer autumn days as well.
You’re smelling lovely Jiji, I love it but found the longevity not great on my skin so renounced getting a bottle and got Eau de Neroli Dore which many people find short-lived is tenacious on me.
I get pretty good longevity with Neroli Dore too.
I also do
You smell great Jiji !
I’m wearing Chanel No. 19, for its greenery. Lovely.
Scent twins!
beautiful !
Hello, I hope all is well for everyone, I’ve got several weeks’ worth of NST to catch up on. I’m still on holiday, although the return home is gettjng closer. I’m in Seville, and the smell of orange blosdom is everywhere. I’ve smelled lots of lovely flowers before, but never experienced such a pervasive scent. It’s wonderful.
I’ve been wearing Guerlain’s Neroli Outrenoir, as it seemed so appropriat. I bought it in Paris a couple of weeks ago, and did wonder if such an expensive purchase was wise, but now I’ll be able to think if Seville whenever I wear it, so a good decision after all 🙂
Ah yes, the orange trees of Seville, and so true that it’s worthwhile having a perfume reminder of your stay.
You can do an on-the-spot comparison with Seville à l’Aube!
The orange blossom was just starting in Málaga as we packed up and left for The Hague, so we will pretty much miss it this year. But we should (fingers crossed) get a blast of linden in a couple of months’ time, to compensate.
I bet Guerlain NO will be special in you collection- gorgeous fragrance in a gorgeous bottle bought in beautiful Paris to remind you of your trip to beautiful Seville ( haven’t been in both, which doesn’t make both cities less beautiful).
Neroli Outrenoir is on my to buy list, I just have to finish Angelique Noir first 🙂
Congratulations on your lovely scented souvenir!
I’m wearing St. Clair Casablanca today and it smells like spring to me, probably due to the orange blossoms. Our weather is absolutely perfect today, gorgeously clear, 70 degrees, with everything brilliantly covered in new green. Only problems are (a) oak pollen!! Yikes! and (b) suspicious air quality from the big chemical factory fire of the last few days. I can’t see anything now myself, like the previous black cloud, but you just have to wonder given all the bad stuff that was burning.
That iris picture is gorgeous. I love actual iris flowers but am not attracted to the note in perfume.
I will be wearing that one all of next week for the CP. The orange blossom shines on my skin. It’s so gorgeous!!!
My evil scent twin will probably be holding her nose ???
Oh no, (b) sounds so scary O_O
I saw news footage of (b) last night. YIKES!!!
In SJP Lovely, for the office. Off i had the day off i would wear the heck out of Hermes Jour Absolue. Liquid sunshine.
Yes, that is on my list of possibles for tomorrow!
Wearing my beloved MEM, and having too much fun with my new perfume and dinosaurs account on Instagram.
“Perfume and dinosaurs” seems delightfully niche. There’s a truly excellent “cars and fashion” museum in Malaga, where models in vintage fashion (Schiaparelli, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior etc.) are posed alongside the cars of the same era. I now have a mental image of pairing Diplodocus and Triceratops with appropriate scents…
That museum sounds intriguing and appealing, even with my minimal interest in cars. If I’m ever in Malaga…
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR INSTAGRAM PAGE.
thank you 🙂
Your page is awesome! Those Dinos just can’t seem to figure out those bottles.
but they *so* want to! Poor wee things, with no opposable thumbs…
thank you 🙂
Pics are so great!
thanks 🙂 it’s amazing how expressive little plastic dinos can be.
So cute and funny! Hurry up and post more Dino’s please!
thanks! I’m trying to post one a day… but that might drop its pace a little to four or five times a week.
Fantastic, thank you! Love the houndstooth pic.
I still get a little thrill from the hounds-toothed flasks of old Miss Dior. And I have a brand new dress in almost exactly the same pattern, which gave me a ridiculous kick when I found it.
Oh nice!
Spring is my favorite season, and while it will not spring fully here in Cleveland for several weeks still, we are getting a few whiffs of earth and the light has started to change. Not surprisingly, I have so many favorite spring perfumes I can’t wear them all in a week. Today is Ostara, which I am enjoying thoroughly.
Jonquils are so spring appropriate, Ostara doesn’t work on my skin but I bet you smell lovely and I love the name.
That spring daylight is SO welcome after a gloomy grey winter!
Wearing Dusita Splendiris today, a powdery violet & iris beauty to celebrate spring.
I thought that wasn’t available until May.
It is not. It’s from a sample when the naming competition was going on.
Its grey but very mild, I thought about wearing Hiris my latest purchase in its so decorative blue bottle but my hand erred to AdP Mandorlo di Sicilia – probably because Majokkobiachan wore Arancia di Capri yesterday – it’s gone now (it is the end of the day in the UK) so I will be able to wear something else. I still have to decide what to wear tomorrow.
The hand wants what the hand wants! Enjoy your SOTE (scent of the evening).
Hove Tea Olive, which I love uncomplicatedly
I love that one! Had a wonderful time at Hove last year while on vacation, smelling everything 🙂
Hove has some very nice perfumes. Carnaval is my favorite. I am getting some samples from them soon & I will add the Tea Olive to my list.
Today I am in Annick Goutal “Encens flamboyant”, since I now have 3 perfumes instead of the none I arrived with. And it suited the day well enough, a long day of reports, PowerPoints and meetings with the scent of incense and spruce trees forming a discreet accompaniment.
Staying in a foreign country gives an opportunity to visit the local supermarkets and I am often struck by some little detail that defies the usual multinational brand conformity.
– In France, I could not find a washing-up brush for love or money; everywhere was selling a sort of sponge with a wire handle instead;
– In Spain, the drinking chocolate selection takes up the same amount of shelf space as the coffees selection, and the teas are often somewhere else (UK and Ireland, tea and coffee belongs together). Naturally, the cooked meats section is to die for.
– Here in The Netherlands, along with milk and yoghurt, there are racks and racks of different flavours of “vla” – which is pretty much custard – in litre and half litre cartons and tubs of every size. And really vast amounts of mostly pretty bland cheese.
– In the UK, you can get non-prescription meds like paracetamol and ibuprofen in the supermarket aisle; almost every other country in Europe seems to restrict them to the pharmacy.
Speaking of which, I am out of rum-and-raisin vla, so I need to go out now and find something else for dessert! :^D
I enjoyed your observations and comparisons very much, it’s a wonder how particularities survive. When I moved to the UK from New York (but I grew up in France) I was astonished at the choices of baked beans at the supermarket, not that I’m complaining.
Yes! And 30 varieties of Cheddar is about 27 more than the world needs… :^D
“really vast amounts of mostly pretty bland cheese” <–this made me laugh.
The need to go to a pharmacy to get OTC drugs really, really annoyed me in France.
France usually has the best *variety* of cheeses, but it’s often difficult to get a harder cheese like Cheddar or Manchego.
[suddenly remembers he has raclette in the fridge… and TOMK is off at a Laibach gig… sneaks furtively into the kitchen….]
Laibach are still playing?
The first time I went to France I was stunned at the enormity of the dairy section, filled with an array of every different kind of yogurt and custard imaginable.
Oh yes, I’m with you, that is mind boggling, when I go home I keep lingering in the dairy aisle, checking everything out, where I live now in the UK the choice is much more limited.
Wonderful SOTD! I also enjoyed your multinational supermarket compare & contrast.
ELDO I Am Trash, which has a lovely fruity opening, and then crashes into some woody iso E Super thing. The top notes hang in there on fabric, so I’m sniffing my sweater instead of my skin.
I struggle with this one too. In general, I find strawberry offputting in perfume, but I like it ok for the first hour, and then it starts to irritate me.
I wore Bal d’Afrique to work, but I just spritzed on some Pacifica French Lilac while running errands in Target. I haven’t decided if it’s lovely or if I want to wash it off. Quite a swing, no?
Wow, going from lovely to scrubber and back.
Later to the party than usual. I knew that today would be long and difficult so I wore Chanel 19 edt for strength, backbone and dignity and as usual, it helped tremendously! When I got home I found a tiny bottle of Rose Otto Attar from eBay waiting for me so of course I had to try it right away, it’s gorgeous and blends beautifully with the last of the No. 19. If anyone is interested in the oil, search Al Minar on eBay. The Makeupalley fragrance board has a crush on that line right now and while they are very well priced, collectively they’re a hit to the wallet.
19 to the rescue!
I am way overdue for a visit to MUA.
TF Sahara Noir again… I have been wearing it since Monday and it seems I can’t get enough of it.
Lost my cell phone in the morning, superannoying!!!!!! Arghhhh….
Off to cook mahi-mahi, kids are hungry and can’t wait for dinner.
Sorry to hear about your lost cell phone.
Oh no, hope your phone turns up.
Argh, that is super annoying!
Robin, I really love today’s iris photo. For some reason, I always associated irises with my father. Probably because his birthday was in late March. This Saturday would have been his 89th one.
Grey, cold, and rainy here. SOTD = Chanel 28 La Pausa EdT, from the sample stash. It works perfectly with the weather, and also suits my melancholy mood.
Jalapeno, I sat here with a bunch of stuff to say, because your post resinated with me. I think though, that I will just send a hug, and let you be with the irises and rain?
Hugs are always appreciated! Many thanks!
Also sending hugs, Jalapeno. La Pausa is absolutely beautiful!
Thanks Gail!
It is hard not to be melancholy in this weather, and you’ve got extra reason.
Bittersweet memories of your father, how lovely that irises remind you of him.
You must smell terrific in La Pausa. Have you been able to compare EDT versus EDP? I keep wondering about the EDPs of the Exclusive, I have a sample of Misia EDT and want to purchase a bottle someday, but keep worrying that the EDP might not be the same.
Sorry, I have only had the opportunity to smell the EdT. I have no idea what the EdP is like.
Went to work today and I’m kind of regretting it. Other people said this cough/cold combo can hang around for 3+ weeks. Ugh!
At least I’m off tomorrow so hoping that 3 days of doing nothing will help knock this down. Wearing some eau de Vicks tonight! Supposed to be sunny and warm again tomorrow so I can direct my hubby on how to prune the trees and shrubs. Can’t wait to start wearing my ‘fumes again!
Glad to hear that you have some serious self care time coming up!
Pouring rain, black clouds, dog got skunked, loved ones suffering deeply bad news – Spring has sprung a false start. Wore Mona di Orio’s Vanille and the world smelled a little better, or at least I did.
Wore Bracken woman for a spring day in Tokyo, liked it a lot. So much to see here, my feet are hurting
