It's Hump Day and the International Day of Happiness. Also, the spring equinox, despite the frost on my windshield this morning, and tonight, watch out for the Super Worm Moon (and while you're at it, don't forget the swapmeet is this weekend). What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm ignoring the weather in L’Artisan Parfumeur Jacinthe des Bois.
Reminder: on 3/22, celebrate the arrival of spring by wearing your favorite spring fragrance. (If it's fall where you are, you know what to do.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Happy Equinox (whichever it is where you are), everyone! I’m in AdP Iris Nobile EDT, definitely a spring favorite for me.
You smell great SheriG, I will try to remember to wear that this week.
I would join you but the bottle currently lives in middle marzipan’s dorm room. She’s going through an iris phase ?.
Good for middle marzipan! She probably smells better than anybody else in the dorm.
She sure is! And she is kind enough to share if her friends ask. She has the best collection out of all of them.
Houbigant Ideal Vintage
I was out salsa dancing until after midnight ? for a friend’s birthday. Kids are at school and I am going to take a nap
Fun! You’ve earned that nap.
Happy napping.?
Oh very good for you! I was up late but for much less good reason 🙂
Sounds like fun!
You deserve that nap for sure!
My SOTD is a happy scent with a spring feel – Jo Malone Orange Blossom.
Hope it is a happy day Glannys!
You smell wonderful!
Perfect! I may need to revisit that scent.
It would fit next week’s CP
I am SO READY for next week’s CP!
I bet you are!!!!????
Vintage Chanel No. 19 extrait which smells good and leathery. And looking forwarding to putting up a couple bottles for swap.
Whoa, you have vintage No. 19 to swap? Be still, my heart!
Oh no sorry — those were unrelated statements! I only have a tiny dabber sample of the No. 19, sigh
Lol I couldn’t even imagine parting with such a treasure! I have a tiny bit in an old mini bottle, it’s wonderful 🙂
Oh wow, I almost wore that one today! You smell gorgeous! 🙂
I went with vintage No. 22 instead. But, house twins! *happy dance*
No 22 is gorgeous as well. And vintage! Goodness!
I was wearing exactly this yesterday, and loving every minute of it. SO much depth underneath the floral elegance.
Good morning Y’all!
It’s Inventory day! Time to count every single pill in this pharmacy…..all gazillon of ’em! 🙂 Since my peeps are walking around all day bumping into each other and staying in each other’s personal space, I went with Prada Infusion d’Iris. It’s light, it’s airy, and it’s calming…perfect for counting until your eyes cross over! 🙂
Wow! That’s a lot of counting! Good luck.?
Ooof! At least you smell fresh and elegant!
Inventory of any kind is a hot mess, but pharmaceutical inventory is a whole new level of hell! Yikes, I hope your day goes quickly! ??
Yuck. Good luck with inventory.
It’s too cold here in Virginia for any of my favorite spring perfumes, so I’m wearing Amouage Opus iii which has a nice violet note (violets are springy, right?) while also being warm and cozy.
Opus iii is such a pretty floral. It reminds me of Beloved. Uou smell lovely!
I have not tried your SOTD, but violets are very springy! I plan to wear a violet scent tomorrow (unless I suddenly change my mind).
Violets are very much spring-y!
Good morning. I am wearing Chanel Coco EDP and drinking a cup of Earl Grey tea.
You smell great!
Lots of excellent smells there!
I’m wearing Gallagher iloreN, a week early. However, this one is less about the neroli than my favorite neroli fragrances. It has a citrusy, herbal quality. It is probably my favorite Gallagher fragrance.
I just realized that iloreN is discontinued, naturally.
Figures! (Just sympathizing…I had not even heard of it.)
I’m wearing Papillon Dryad, which is intensely green and therefore highly appropriate for spring. I have a large sample/ small decant and am really enjoying this one.
Tea is Jardin des Songes by Palais des Thés.
Lovely stuff.
The more I wear Dryad, the more impressive I find it. And it’s a joy to wear.
Sarah Horowitz Brigitte because lilacs on the first day of spring make me happy. My bottle is already one third done and my birthday is at the end of next month. Methinks I might need another bottle-LOL!
Yeah, I think so too.?
🙂 🙂 I can always count on you to talk me into it!
Aaaand now I’m craving lilac!
My down-the-street neighbor very kindly planted a lilac tree right next to the sidewalk, and I always take a big whiff when I walk by. Can’t wait til it blooms this year ?
Sorry lol ??? ??
I am satisfying my craving with my fragrance.
Have you ever tried Jean Patou Vacances? I find it a lovely lilac too
No I have not but now I feel must!!!
Sounds like Brigitte is going to be a world speed record thunk! It also sounds quite lovely. ?
I promised a good friend a decant if she loves the sample so I can’t thunk it yet!!
It’s cold here, too, but it’s clear we’ve turned the corner from winter. I’m in Smell Bent Florist’s Fridge for its soft-focus chilly florals (orchid and hyacinth, though it smells carnationy to me).
Staying with my mom for a week or so while she recovers from a kidney infection that might have killed her, if my dad had not become alarmed when she didn’t answer the phone and come home to check on her. She’s still quite weak. Dad is in the throes of tax season — he’s 80 but still choosing to work three days a week — so the timing was lamentable. BUT! Mom’s still around, and feeling better enough that now she’s worrying about things like laundry and proper storage of the recyclables.
Yikes! That’s scary- glad she’s doing better and that you can be with her!
Sounds like she’s on the mend! That’s good.
I ordered a sample of Florist’s Fridge and haven’t tried it yet – I’ll make sure to do it soon!
pfft that was for mals86 obviously. oops.
Omgoodness, I’m glad she’s doing better, that’s scary.
Yay, mom. Glad she is better!
Glad your mom is doing better!
So happy your mom is doing better!
Yikes! You smell great, and here’s to Mom keeping on!
That’s how I can tell when I am recovering from whatever laid me low – when I stagger into the kitchen and notice that the place is a mess and start tidying up. Hope your mon recovers quickly and completely.
Glad she’s ok!
Wow, that’s stressful. Hope she continues to recover well!
So glad that your mom is on the mend! I hope she recovers swiftly!
Yikes. Here’s hoping for a swift recovery for your mother. What a scare!
Good for your dad! Best wishes to all of you.
Best wishes of a full recovery to your mum: the worrying about laundry and all is indeed a good sign.
Eeeeek! What a scare re: your mom’s health. I hope she has a full recovery. And good for your dad on checking in on her.
Vilhelm’s Modest Mimosa for the first day of spring.???
Such a great name, too.
Just waking up and it’s high time (west coast, so it’s not quite as bad it might sound). Working from home today – good thing!!
SOTD will be Goutal Chevrefeuille for in honor of spring and it looks like a glorious day here – the kind with a clear, cool morning, birds singing and warm in the afternoon.
Looking forward to swapmeet.
A lovely choice of scent.
Love that one! And jealous of your beautiful day. I was in a down jacket.
Chilly rain here but the birds are singing so it definitely feels like spring. Wearing vintage Arpege today; Arpege was my very first perfume. I still love it.
You smell fantastic! Vintage Arpege is a treasure.
How lovely that it was your signature scent. It’s a wonderful perfume, I haven’t worn it in a long time.
I’m wearing a recent favorite spring scent, You or Someone Like You. I love the mint note. It doesn’t really feel like spring yet but azaleas and dogwoods are blooming so it LOOKS like spring 🙂
I really, really want it to feel like spring already!
Happy first day of spring! Am wearing L’Heure Bleue, which is pretty much perfect for all seasons.
Yes it is 🙂
2nd that!
Wearing Chanel Gardenia extrait from a tiny vial sample sent to me by Hajusuuri a while ago (thanks H!). Very pretty but oh, so fleeting on me.
Happy official spring everyone!
Jacinthe des Bois sounds wonderful (but un-track-down-able); I would love other recommendations for hyacinth clones. I sometimes catch hyacinth from the EDT version of First.
If anyone needs inspiration for Friday, this came in my poem-of-the-day email, and now I am determined to make my Friday fragrance match the line, “What is all this juice and all this joy?”
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/51002/spring
I’m in Diorella today and very much enjoying a week of springy fragrances. It’s still in the 40s in Minnesota, but I can’t express how much like spring it feels to watch the huge piles of snow slowly turning into wet sidewalks and streetside streams. Just water moving is a big change. What is all this juice?!
Ack!! He’s one of my favorite British poets! Read aloud, his sprung rythym is delight to the ear. Never smelled Diorella, but sure you’re smelling smashing! Thanks for posting the link✌?
Hers a bit about Sprung Rythym and Hopkins if anyone is interested:
https://youtu.be/H_vv76M_KG0
Regina: Have you tried Guerlain Chamade or Annick Goutal Grand Amour its easier going sibling? They both have hyacinth.
Masque Milano’s Romanza is hyacinth-intensive to my nose.
I like it, but don’t think I could wear a full spray–good dabbing perfume.
Adding
Chanel Cristall EDT and
Eric Buterbaugh Apollo Hyacinth
I think that Juicy Couture’s “Peace, Love and Juicy Couture” has a hyacinth note in it. I liked it enough to get a FB. It wasn’t as anywhere as sweet as its perfume siblings.
JdB is gone. It is a real hyacinth soliflore and I am sure there is another but I don’t know it…you would think the Buterbaugh mentioned above would be one, but have not tried it (and most of that line is too clean for me).
I’m so happy on national happiness day! It’s my 18th anniversary, I have a beautiful puppy to love, spring is here and we are going home to Montreal in two weeks to Marie Kondo our condo and redecorate. :-). Last year was just awful, but it feels like we have turned the corner and there are blue skies and happy days ahead. Feeling so grateful.
Oh, and I’m wearing Vanille Insensée. 🙂
Sounds wonderful – all of it! Happy for you!
Excellent news all around. Happy Anniversary, hugs to the beautiful baby and you smell great!
Happy anniversary! Spending it smelling great.
Happy Anniversary! So glad things are looking up for you this year!
Sending you happy anniversary hugs, safe travels, and wishes for a quick Kondo condo clean-up!
Yay! Glad things are looking up! ???
Happy 18th Anniversary , lots of happiness and love !!!
Kondo the condo! Nice! So happy you’re feeling better and have a little fluffer-nutter to love. And congrats on 18 years! Not a common thing these days??
Happy anniversary! I hope your whole spring is as full of the joy you’re feeling today 🙂
Happy anniversary! Thanks for sharing your happiness with our group!
Happy Anniversary! And enjoy your upcoming new adventures.??
Happy anniversary Cazaubon, any celebratory activities?
Thank you everyone for the kind wishes, we are going out for a delicious Mexican food supper tonight. There is a serious lack of good Mexican food in Canada so we need to enjoy while we can in San Diego. 🙂
Happy Anniversary, and may you have many more! ???
Yay, so happy for you!
Hi all, SOTD is vintage No. 22 eau de cologne by Chanel. I love the meditative incense in the dry down, perfect for today’s rainy weather. Happy hump day! 😀
Incense notes are so calming, you smell chilled out.
Hello, Spring!
1) We have had a run of warm weather and blue skies these three days- yesterday it was a high of 74F; today it will be 70F! But- the temps will drop back down into the 50s and 60s later on this week.
2) But the plum and cherry trees are blossoming!
3) Am in Vanori by Delacourte, which is a sweet vanilla floral. Very nice indeed indeed.
OH, please send that run of weather here!
Had an eventful night…me and the Mr. decided to try a new Mexican place, half priced margaritas for Taco Tuesday, how could we say no? They were STRONG, which was fine until we got home and found a very guilty looking dog and several chocolate wrappers, about 5 oz of mostly dark for a small 20 lb dog. I’m sure I made a wonderful impression on the front desk ladies at the emergency vet, explaining that I had left a collection of artisan chocolate bars on the bedside table with tequila still on my breath. Very classy.
Fur baby spent the night there but we picked him up and brought him home early. He’s doing fine now, but he’ll be having charcoal poops and boiled chicken and rice for a few days.
Plucked a sample from the to-try pile for a pick me up today, Gaiac by M. Micallef. Wishing I’d just gone with a comfort scent instead.
Oh, dear! That is a night. I hope he’ll be fine!
He’ll be okay, he seemed content after we gave him a bath this morning. He likes getting blasted with the hair dryer. We just gotta keep an eye on him for a bit and make sure he’s acting normal.
Awww, I’m sure he’s enjoying the extra TLC! I’m super glad my cats have zero interest in people food of any kind (not even chicken!). But they do enjoy plastic of all kinds and ribbons. We’ve had several ER visits for ribbon ingestion ?
Happy to hear puppers will be ok! I second the comfort scent option?
Thank you! This one doesn’t last long so I can switch when I get home 😀
Glad your puppy is feeling better!
Thank you!
Heavens, thank god for the telltale wrappers, so glad it ends well.
They said there were colorful wrappers in his puke, lol – at least he didn’t gobble them up entirely.
Yikes! Scary times with the chocolate mishap. Glad to hear that your dog will be none the worse for it.
Not feeling great this cold, wet morning so have donned one of my favorite comfort scents, Plum by Mary Greenwell.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.
I hope you feel better ASAP. Not a fan of Plum, but the bottle is just beautiful. ?
Poor you, feel better soon!
Plum is so cosy indeed, hope it helps you through the day.
I thinks so too. Not sure why.
Get well soon!
Not really spring enough here but I’m wearing Indigo from Magnetic Scent (now Baruti) which is a strange, animalic, orientalish scent with a hyacinth note
I cannot picture that in my mind, hope it is good?
Digging out summer scents! Today, Wisteria Hysteria! Tomorrow, Wit or Diorissimo. Friday, La Chasse aux Papillions or Apres l’Ondee. So many choices. 🙂
Nice list of choices there!
Thanks! Not many brand new things there, I notice. Wonder what the best new orange blossom there is…
Oh, that could be my week too, all of it sounds perfect!
DelRae Mythique for me today. It’s springy, but I think it’s hefty enough for any other season.
That would also be a go-to spring scent for me. It’s lovely!
Thanks! It’s smelling like immortelle to me today…
Not ready for spring scents quite yet.
Maybe due to heading to Portland where I will still have chilly weather for a bit. Get some more wear time on my cooler weather fragrances.
SOTD post shower is Borneo, maybe.
Tax refund in bank today and treadmill being delivered tonight. KISMET!
Happy tax refund day!
I don’t know about Portland (I’m currently in Silverton OR), but it was 81F yesterday here, as I griped about in my post below. I think it will be warmer than you’re anticipating…
Be careful on that treadmill!
I know Deva, it looks like there was a bit of hot spell but its going to change again.
my travel schedule makes it hard to get to the gym so I bit the bullet and got the treadmill. it was, with assembly, 40 clams less than my refund.
I worked in Portland before and found it to be a very walkable city.
So I have my paths planned out and whole foods is between my hotel and my client site so I am hoping to walk, use hotel gym and get a salad every evening.
Unlike my last project which I loved but was in an unsavory part of the town and I went straight for hotel every night.
Happy you will be in a better neighborhood! Plus, it’s a familiar town for you, which always helps. Do you have to travel back and forth to “home” monthly, weekly, or how often?
Every week. sigh. But, it’s in the same time zone!
Last year I was working in eastern PA not far from Robin I think, freezing my fanny off.
We had four days of spectacularly beautiful weather, so naturally, everything is back to miserably drizzly and cold. Boohoo, let’s all cry for the Californian’s bad weather.
I’m wearing Berdoues Assam of India, because I meant to find something properly springy, and not summery, but AoI smells so good I just couldn’t resist it. Whoops. I really really REALLY like this scent, and I am always surprised by all of you who say it’s not a very special scent and is mostly worth it for the bottle 🙂 I love the bottle, but I love the juice, too, and it doesn’t smell like every other light summer scent to me.
Being a grown-up this afternoon and going back to the doctor’s office, because apparently the day I turned 30 (1.5 y ago), my body just decided that it needed to break down.
listen…I wore it for seven weeks straight the summer of ’17 and started the Assam craze here on NST so I am never going to say it isn’t a special fragrance. I do like the bottle too though and this was the original reason I bought it…those elephants….most successful blind buy ever!
Yes, we might even have a thunderstorm today, so Alexa tells me.
Not AGAIN! There was just a thunderstorm two weeks ago down in San Jose! Boooo.
Twins with you!
Had a *little* too much chardonnay last night, and Assam was the only scent that didn’t turn my stomach this morning!
Hahaha yay twins! Nights with a little too much wine are great fun on occasion 🙂
Another doctor visit? Oh no! Nothing serious, I hope?
Oh it’s my wrist again. Which feels very serious to me indeed 🙁 but is certainly not life-threatening.
A sore wrist can make your whole arm feel sore. Not fun.
Good job going to the Doctor, Koyel ?
Spring!! Hahaha! It’s cold and raining and I don’t care.
I still am under the weather but slept alot yesterday and today so will be heading to work soon. I’m joining many of you in Chanel today with Allure edp. A few weeks ago someone here mentioned Coco edt smelling most similar to vintage Coco with more clove. I got to try it and holy tomoly it’s wonderful. I was going to replace my almost gone edp, but now I will get the edt.
Happy SPRING!????????⚘??
I’ve always liked the vintage EDT better, indeed more spicy. You smell peachy in Allure.
I can’t remember what my first bottle was back in the late eighties, but yeah, definitely more spicy. My current bottle is about 4 years old, I still love it, but it is more subdued for sure.
Weather update: 32 and snowing like crazy! This was not on the radar last night, lol!
Bummed to hear that you are still feeling “Bleh” and the weather gods are being jerks in your area.
On the plus side, you are making the Coco EdT sound like it is very much worth a sniff.
You should sniff it, and weigh in.
I can’t believe how long I had overlooked it, and there it was, just waiting to be smelled at Ulta. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer, in the forties.
I was saving FM’s Eau de Magnolia for Friday but couldn’t wait. My travel spray is dwindling and I think this will probably be my first Malle fb next time I’m feeling flush . . .
I love it too. I bought my own travel spray at the beginning of last fall, so mine is mostly full.
Mine is also more than half gone ? I might need to get another. Afraid if I ever got a fb, that’s when I’ll lose interest, lol.
Yeah, I’ve been sticking to the travel sprays for this reason. But I’m loving Magnolia for the fourth spring in a row so I feel like it’s a safe bet. Now to wait until one of the fancy dept. stores that carry FM have one of those free beauty bag with purchase deals . . .
Why is that? I’ll go through a decant in record time but often lose interest once I own the bottle.
I don’t know but it’s happened to me multiple times! Maybe it seems less precious than a decant with a limited quantity?
It’s happened to me too! (eyes 100ml bottle of Ostara) I still feel confident about buying Magnolia but this is a definite problem.
I’m the opposite, I use mainly bottles, and hoarde my decants. I think because I know I will probably never be able to get those in a bottle.
Went commando for a dentist appointment this morning, but I just remembered the sample of Caron Pour Un Homme I tucked in my backpack (thanks, past holyneroli!) so now I’m wearing that.
I’m going to a talk later today about rare book theft, and feeling grateful that I work on a university campus, and am encouraged to attend interesting lectures like this.
That talk sounds amazing! Lucky you for being able to attend! ??
Love your fragrance! A very good perfume pal recently sent me a sample of it because she knows I love lavender. I already awarded her an enabler pin because I intend to buy a bottle one of these days.
Pour un Homme seems very appropriate, it’s one of the masculines I wear regularly.
Did everything come out OK at the dentist’s?
It did. Got a chipped tooth fixed ?
81F yesterday. Pretty sure the end of Times has arrived. ?
Thankfully, it cooled down last night and the forecast is for highs of 50-60’s the rest of week. In celebration, I’m wearing SL Chergui. ??♀️ Summer, I’m banishing you!
The doggo has decided she doesn’t really like biking along with me. She does so grudgingly and with a surly expression, giving me the side eye as she trots along. Too bad for her because it’s great exercise. I did something to my right leg a few weeks back, and it’s been flaring up off and on ever since, made worse by walking 6-10 miles at work. However, no pain when I pedal, so that’s what we’re doing for the next little while. Such a hard life!
She woke this morning, went out to potty (really, I had to boot her out because she didn’t want to leave the warm bed), came in to eat, wolfing it down like she hadn’t been fed in a month, and because of all that Hard Work, she’s napping, under the covers with her fleece on, just her nose peeking out. What a life!
These types of injuries do get in the way of having fun. I hope it feels better soon. T-Rex is one lucky pooch.
You’re smelling delightful in Chergui! I wore it last night to the annual school budget meeting. It was a great distraction.
Enjoy the cooler temps. Our high is 49 and very breezy and cool here today. Our snow banks have almost melted but the temps haven’t gone above 50 degrees yet.
I am grinning at the mental image of T-Rex pouting as she exercises with you! I hope you get some temps more to your liking soon.
I am sampling J’Adore Absolu today
(its easy to confuse this with J’adore L’absolu from 2007…..but they are different)
Its all about flowers. I smell rose, jasmine and magnolia.
(No fruit at all, like in the original J’adore)
Its not bad, If I had it Id probably wear it to formal occasions (think Tenue de ville dresscode or similar, but without alcoholic drinks haha)
its quite linear though and not very adventurous.
Oh and I still have to vote today!
Not an easy choice. But hey, at least we have plenty choice. ? (more than a dozen parties to choose from).
I have already done my voting. Both the waterschap and provinciale staten. I feel like a good citizen but the whole hoopla around the fdd is getting on my nerves.
Plus “your” Brit made it on the NRC headlines today.
Very unparticipatory today. Testing House of Matriarch The Longing on my left arm, and PdE Fougere Bengale on my right.
Whoa, really liking the HoM. ❤️
I read about The Longing. I’d love a mini review if you’re up for it. Wish I had snagged a sample to satisfy my curiosity.
Hi Petunia, sorry it took so long to reply. I had to test this one a second time.
It’s hard to compare this to anything out there, because it’s both a gourmand and an oriental to my nose. It also has the feel of a spicy gourmand that has dried down and mellowed on skin for a couple of hours. That being said, it’s not especially sweet.
Since you’re a fan of Chergui, you might really like this one. Hope this helps!
In my gorgeous Acqua di Parma Arancia di Capri <3 Such a lovely, unisex fragrance. Ehem Ehem but I noticed a lot of fragrances that are unisex tend to be a tad on the masculine side rather than truly unisex… Arancia though is NOT at all feminine yet not overly musculine for it being a unisex. I just is… a beautiful fragrance of fresh, mouthwatering oranges and this insanely gourgeous caramel note. Never overpowering but so irresistiable… My new favorite!! What a great blind buy I had with this one!
P.S. temperature here… 75 degrees but a little overcast since we had some rain yesterday and earlier in the morning. Welcome to Key West, Florida!!
You smell lovely, I was blown away when I tried it in the summer.
Oh, this is one of my favorites too! The orangey caramel is wonderful.
In Mito voile today, for spring. Determined not to hoard these last couple of mls in my decant, but just spritz generously and enjoy it.
Good for you for enjoying the Mito!
I love Mito! What a gorgeous perfume!!! Spray away and do’t let it evaporate!
I’m not doing spring scents yet but continuing my incense trials with Passage d’Enfer. This is the more friendly, cuddly version of incense, a little sweet. I’m with Mom at the hospital and things are slow, as always in hospitals, it seems.
You smell great Calypso! I always have a BUB of Enfer. Hope mom doing okay.
It’s a little early for spring scents in my hood but I am participating with Rose de Siwa.
So pretty! ???
I am wearing Guerlain Black Perfecto, my daughter complimented me this morning about my perfume that means she wants to take this bottle to put in her own room.
No spring yet where I am .
Ha, watch that bottle!
I’m wearing Parfum d’Empire Le Cri. It’s like the light of the Sun, the Moon and the stars.
How poetic a description.
Thank you 🙂
La Cri is very pretty. You smell great!
Feeling contrary, I was in the mood for an old school chypre, so it’s vintage Halston today (honestly, if it was repackaged in a fancy bottle it could easily outdo niche chypre offerings).
I agree. So many inexpensive beauties of the distant past outshine current niche offerings.
So glad we are on the same wavelength 🙂 I would say probably 10% of the niche perfumes I have tried is outstanding and the rest is nothing to write home about, while Halston smells modern and the scent is intact so it ages very well and so grateful that it’s not sweet, since I acquired my bottle last month it has become easily one of my favorite chypres.
About 2 years ago,I was able to revisit vintage Halston. It was stunning.
It really is, so happy you and chocolatemarzipan agree with me.
It’s been so long since I have smelled Halston, but my memories of it are of something that I liked a lot.
Maybe look for it on eBay Jalapeno, vintage Halston is affordable and it stayed with me all day (my full 50ml boxed bottle cost only £10 including shipping and the scent is pristine). I would imagine it’s plentiful in the US so deals must be great.
Stayed home today as I’m still fighting this cold and horrible cough. I just showered and put on some Bronze Goddess cooling gelee. It’s very light and unobtrusive, about all I can take today. I was wanting to put on some vintage Diorissimo or Miss Dior; maybe on the weekend.
I did drag myself to work yesterday to do 1 task, should have taken me 2 hours but I ended up being there all day for 9 hours as I was pulled in many directions. Working is not for the faint of heart!
Happy Spring everyone! My snow is almost gone!
I’m sorry you are still sick. Good idea to stay home.
Thanks lillyjo! Hope we both feel better soon. ?
Sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather today Gail. But glad to hear about your melting snow!
Very intentionally chose vintage Chanel N. 19 today and regret it. I never don’t have it in my collection, but sometimes it just smells a bit fusty and metallic. It sure does on this damp day. I wish I were smelling it on someone else. The distance would work nicely, and then I could give another scent a chance. Too busy/lazy to change my sweater though.
Happy Equinox (Spring or Autumn) NST! Also, Happy Nowruz, for those of you who celebrate. ?????????
Well, this is an embarrassing admission. ? I thought I had been wearing L’Artisan Timbuktu for the past few days. Turns out I was not. I had poured my spray sample of ELdO’s Fat Electrician into a small spray vial at while back, and then did not label it with its new contents. I discovered this when I spotted the actual sample of Timbuktu sitting in its usual spot, untouched. I guess I should at least label the darn sample today.
SOTD = ELdO’s Fat Electrician, from the sample stash. It does explain why I was enjoying the smell of vetiver.
Laughing with you? I’m guilty of not labeling, thinking I will remember.
I feel better knowing that I am not the only person who has done this!
Oops, I should have said “dabber sample of ELdO’s…” I am a space case lately!
So have you even tried the Timbuktu? Curious if you like it!
Yes to both! Tried Timbuktu before, and liked it. I just hadn’t been using the sample this past week.
Gotcha.
It feels like spring to me with our temperatures in the forties – much better than than the cold snowy winter we all lived through here. I put on something that’s actually more like summer than spring, Blu Mediterraneo Bergamotto. I am really enjoying it. I also found a new dark chocolate treat at the store today: Alter Eco’s Deep Dark Salted Brown Butter bar. The chocolate is so smooth and you can really taste the butter in little spots here and there on the bar. (No, I didn’t eat the whole bar; could have, though!)
Goutal La Violette today. At least for the morning. This afternoon I’m testing Arquiste Sydney Rock Pool. I liked the coconut opening but the driftwood accord is not totally pleasant on my skin…
Cold, wet and cloudy here- my spring perfumes are still sitting in the drawer.
Dosed myself with TF Sahara Noir- the most beautiful incense I’ve smelt to date. Glad I bought a bottle before the scent got discontinued.
Smart you! I had a bottle in my hands to buy, then put it back. Everytime SN is mentioned, I kick myself. You smell awesome ?
I never even had a chance to smell Sahara Noir, so you did better than I did.
Ditto, in my hands or cart and didn’t get. Am still mad at that one.
