A short film from International Flavors & Fragrances' in house naturals facility, Laboratoire Monique Rémy, about the cultivation and processing of Tunisian orange blossoms into orange blossom absolute and neroli. (If you never understood the difference between the two products, this video will explain.) About 6 minutes; perfumer Anne Flipo appears at about the 5:20 mark.

Fascinating, I love it when you all post these! I am Perfume Nerd Girl so I love to learn about these technical aspects of my favorite hobby.
In watching the video, my only concern was the exposure of the workers to the solvents- those steaming vats probably smell really good, but are they safe for the workers?
Yeah, no idea, also no idea if there are safety procedures they skip in order to make the video.
Good point! Seeing all the workers in full NIOSH masks would not look very good on a promotional video, it would creep people out! I’ll bet a few of the scenes are staged, or modified for the film making. IFF-LMR has a good safety record, from what I’ve heard. They seem to have real concern for the communities where they source materials.
Let’s hope!
