I’d still like to try Carat. It’s really nice to have this travel spray option. Nice looking bottles and packaging too.

It would be a good no-brainer for spring/summer.

After re-reading your review and what hajusuuri had to say, it probably isn’t for me. I have enough light, pleasant florals to keep me happy, and I tend to like florals to be rich and complex or a bit challenging. I’ll have to give it a spray next time I’m in a department store.

Woo hoo! I returned a really gaudy silver-sequened scarf gift and have $24 gift card to spend. #perfumath free!

Yes, it’s a no brainier for you! Have you tried Carat? Thoughts?

I’ve smelled it twice on paper — once at the Cartier boutique in Lisbon and the 2nd time at Nordstrom’s fine jewelry department. At Nordstrom, I probably would not have picked it out of a line-up in the perfume section. It is a light kitchen sink floral, quite nice actually but nothing revolutionary. When you need a feminine floral that is not sweet or BIG, this would be it. I think it’s perfect for spring.

I also was not very impressed by a blotter test of carat, but I’m willing to give it time on skin eventually. Ms. Laurent’s drydowns are usually impeccable.

Is it my imagination, or is that quite a reasonable price?

It’s cheaper than buying a 30mL and per mL, also cheaper than the 50mL. In fact, it is on par with the price per mL for the 100mL bottle if you consider that you are also getting a nice (I think, I have not seen it for myself) travel spray holder. If I end up buying the set, I will split off the other 15 mL with a siight discount since I would be keeping the holder. Weird that the Cartier website has this for $52.

Macy’s has it shown twice, for $50 and $52. Saks says the $50 set has a travel spray and a roll-on. There is some confusion somewhere!

I may just have to stop by and see for myself!
