Nest Wild Poppy ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 4 January 2019 9 Comments

Laura Slatkin's Nest Fragrances brand has launched Wild Poppy, a new fruity floral fragrance for women.

A spirited scent created with the luscious aromas of pear, raspberry, and apricot infused with hints of Himalayan jasmine and Rose de Grasse.

Nest Fragrances Wild Poppy is available now at Sephora, in 50 ml Eau de Parfum ($74) or 8 ml rollerball ($27).

Seriously!! Lucky (or unlucky?) for me I never like any of them.

Same, though I really do like the Nest candles. Great quality for the price.

I got a little mini set of these a while back because the bottles were so cute, but sadly didn’t fall in love with any of them. Won’t be tempted this time because I don’t care much for pear or apricot in perfumes.

Pear is pretty low on my list too!

And not a single note has anything to do with Wild Poppies!?

They are trying to avoid any hint of appealing to opium afficionados, I think. It’s there anyway just from the name. Poppies are always a marketing problem. 🙂

That said, the flowers are so beautiful. This bottle is gorgeous. But, fortunately, as others have noted, pear. You really have to wonder what they are thinking. Maybe it smells wonderful, but, I bet not…
