Hump Day, and 12 more days to go for 2018. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in The Different Company's delicious incense, Le 15.
Reminder: on 12/21 we're doing What's your number...wear a perfume with a number in the name, if you have one. Suggested by thegoddessrena.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I heard this AM that the Swiss erfumer Vero Kern has passed away.
Wearing Rozy EDP in her honour.
Godspeed Vero
Oh no, I had no idea.
I couldn’t find anything about it online…
A personal friend of hers posted it on FB, and there are a lot of perfume peeps picking it up.
Thanks for letting us know.
It was posted on Basenotes as well this morning.
Oh gosh.
I just heard this too, shocked and saddened. I will wear Rubj in her honour.
How very sad – very gifted perfumer.
Heard the news Penny Marshall passed away yesterday, another sad loss.
Oh no. I really enjoyed her.
I read that, too – sadness. She was a smart and funny woman.
Such sad news and such a loss for the perfume community.
Omg! Just now seeing this after spritzing Naja. ?
I’m very sorry to hear that. I didn’t like all of her perfumes, although I have and love Rubj EdP, but everything I read about her told me that she was a very genuine person, who put real passion into her creations.
That is so sad. And I did read about Penny Marshall last night but forgot to include a RIP in the post today đ
Oh gosh, so sorry to hear that, what a loss. đ
That popped up in my news feed right before I started reading NST today.
Good morning Y’all….
Completely and totally overslept this morning, so I’m scentless at the moment. But as soon as I get home, I’m going to reapply a sample of Tom Ford Ombre Leather, that I got in the mail yesterday. WOW! Such a fantastic unisex leather…makes me think of leather chaps on a pair of well fitting Wrangler jeans. Sexy stuff! đ Totally going on my perpetual and endless wishlist….
I love that one. Keep going to Sephora for a free decant until you can get a bottle.
How was the perfume Grinch yesterday with your sillage?
He never said a word, so I think it was ok….LOL
I’m excited! Just got a UPS notice that a package from “Mugler” was on the porch! I’m thinking the hubby pulled the trigger on my request for Alien Extraordinaire? WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!! đ
I’ll find out Christmas morning…..
I’m wearing Tea for Two. I needed spicy goodness today.
You smell wonderful !
Good choice.
I love that one so much. You smell great.
I was rooting through my samples and located a Le Labo Bergamote 22 in my stash that I brought along with me. Thunk!
We are on our way back home and thus back to reality! Not looking forward to it, at all!
It feels like your vacation went by so fast! Have a safe trip home!?
I love Bergamote 22! You smell great!
I love that one too.
Safe travels!
Sampling Rundholz 03. Apr. 1968 which has a weird fruity opening but is now a great smoky incense
ooh, TWO numbers. sounds intriguing, too!
I love that one, on me it is animalic.
I’m very curious to smell that one. I almost wore their 20 Mars 2022 today but decided I needed a cozy, comforting perfume.
Liked 20 Mars 2022 enough to put it on the endless full-bottle wishlist. It will probably be there a while since it’s too big for work
I was also worried it was too big for work even from dabbing a sample. Maybe I’ll wear it one evening this week.
I am secntless because of this stuffed up nose ? and feeling really blah!
Feel better soon ?
Thank you! I am exhausted
Also, anyone visit any countries along the Baltic Sea? Any family friendly?
I live in Poland which is a Baltic Sea country ?
It there anything family friendly along the Baltic Sea?
Have you ever visited Riga?
No, never
I hear Split, Croatia is a lovely resort town and popular vacation spot.
Montenegro is on my radar too
My sister is just back from living in Montenegro for 3 years — beautiful place.
My colleagueâs wife is from Montenegro and they spend every summer there. It looks gorgeous in pictures. He says Croatia has become more expensive but Montenegro still has a lot of bargains. Iâm hoping to go there this summer before attending a conference in Belgrade in late July.
Croatia is a very popular holiday destination for the Dutch as well. ItÂŽs not on the Baltic Sea though but on the Adriatic.
I hope you feel better soon.
My son visited Estonia a few years ago, and he said it was lovely.
Thank you!
Oh no, hope you feel better soon!
Hot mint tea and rest!
That is an order!
Feel better! Hope your scented self comes back to normal quick! đ
Oh no! I hope you feel much better soon.
I know that feeling, lost my sense of smell for at least two days. Hope you feel better soon!
Gah! Hope you feel better soon!!
Yuck on the stuffy nose! Feel better soon!
SotD = 23 Janvier 1984
I like it, I really really like this one. And that date was probably a good day for me. đ
Robin, Le Quinze is a very cool name for a perfume, and awesome photos up top today. Now I want to wear Hiris and go to Greece.
My sotd is from a sample sent to me by a marvelous perfumista. đ I received a delightful scented package yesterday. It will be great fun to work my way through the new to me samples that arrived.
My home life has been chaotic so a month or so ago I “curated” my perfumes down to a couple dozen bottles and samples, everything else is in a box. Sometimes too many choices is too hard! But I’ve been craving newness, so this delightful surprise comes at exactly the right moment for me. đ
For me 1984 stunk, except for the Tigers winning the World Series. ⟠I hope things settle down for you soon. Enjoy your new smells!?
thank you, lillyjo! ha, yes I remember the Tigers in 1984. đ
I will join you, in Hiris and in Greece đ
let’s organize a field trip! đ I’m sure hajusuuri is game to go, and there have to be others, lol
Sounds perfect!!
feeling cozy/gorgeous in vintage no. 5
Yum. Cozy indeed ?
I’m not quite sure what I’m wearing actually. I think I sprayed from my Jockey Gentry Club sample, but the notes in that are not at all what I’m currently smelling. I think this is either Heliotrope Blanc of Violettes du Czar. Anyway it’s nice. Love today’s choice of picture, Robin!
Mystery scent…?
We should do a CP for unlabeled scents and try to guess what we’re wearing.
Yep! That would be a good idea.
Isn’t it lucky that person included exactly 15 shots?
It is!
I’m in the glory of Azemour today.
?????
Yaaaaaaasssss!
Nice one!
Good day! SOTD is CK One Summer 2017, I guess that’s two numbers đ Pleasant & cheap (25 euros for 100ml, that’s kind of being paid for it, right?), great gym stuff in my opinion
I like the Summer flanker, it’s very cheerful imo.
I’m in DSH Gingembre (Ginger No. 1) which works for the CP and my continued need for cozy warming fragrances. Work is hectic and annoying and home feels stressful, too. It makes it harder to enjoy the holidays.
I hope things will calm down for you so you can get a break over the holidays.
That’s tough, not getting a break anywhere! ?
Ligne St. Barth Vanille West Indies. The blue and white is my most favorite color pairing.
Gates of Heaven have opened for perfumer Vero Kern today. Just found out that she passed away. Personally I wasn’t a fan of her work but I’m sure she will be remembered for her bold style and outside-the-box thinking.
A minute of silence in her memory…
Aedes Musc Encensee is my sotd.
RIP Vero.
You smell lovely.
TM Angel Fruity Flair, after a workout and shower đ
I have an appointment at 11am, then I am coming home to finish wrapping presents. At least that’s the plan.
Fruity Fair. Sorry typo.
We finally started wrapping last night — good luck with yours!
I finished shopping a couple of weeks ago, but havenât wrapped anything yet. Most of the gifts need to be mailed out of state, too. Oh well, our families may be getting New Yearâs gifts from us.?
I’ve boxed up most of the presents today, but will need to go shopping for a couple on Saturday.
Yesterday I was diagnosed with breast cancer. What I feel most at this stage is kind of stunned, and guilty for tainting my family and friends’ Christmases. Tomorrow I start a whirlwind of other tests and preparation for chemo, surgery and radiation. I’m wearing Kyoto because it is soothing and grounding and going out for lunch with a friend who has gone through this herself.
Be strong!
ScentSpirit, be strong and positive that everything will be fine. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs.
Wishing you strength and blessings and definitely don’t feel guilty — life happens when it happens
Sending healing vibes
I am so sorry to hear this. Praying for you to have a speedy and complete healing, and big hugs to you as you come to terms with this change in your life.
Sending positive energy your way ScentSpirit! Stay strong!
So sorry, ScentSpirit. And agree, you don’t need to feel guilty on top of this. Thinking of you and hoping for the best possible outcome, and lots of love and support! Hugs to you.
Please, please, don’t feel guilty… I wish you strength and am sending healing thoughts.
So sorry to hear about this – sending best wishes and healing vibes.
I am sure your loved ones would rather have the chance to support you than any other Christmas gift! I am sending all my wishes for the best possible outcome.
Best wishes to you, ScentSpirit.
Sending you lots of love and peace and hope, ScentSpirit.
Iâm so sorry. Sending you lots of strength and good wishes for your health and comfort and support from your loved ones.
So sorry for your news. I agree with whay many others have said. Be kind to yourself and try not to feel guilty. I’m sure the only thing that matters to your loved ones is being there for you right now.
ScentSpirit, sending you thoughts of clarity, strength, and health. And, as Regina noted above, wishes for the best possible outcome.
Best strength, hope, and luck to you, ScentSpirit.
That is tough, especially at this time of year. My very best wishes for your treatment! And please, don’t feel guilty, you didn’t plan this. Life happens.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am hoping for the best possible outcome for you and sending hugs and comfort.
So sorry, and hope you will be getting lots of support from your family and friends.
Oh, damn. I was diagnosed at the end of the summer. For me, the first couple of weeks were the hardest, and the guilt was unbearable â how did this happen to me when I tried to âdo everything rightâ â as was the worry for my partner. You will keep hearing that it is not your fault, and IT ISNâT, but wow, is it hard to believe.
I hope that you receive the same great care that I have been getting â this has been my first serious, ongoing interaction with the US healthcare system since about 1990, and it feels like night and day. I still canât quite believe how responsive and compassionate every healthcare person has been. Iâm about 1/3 through radiation. In many ways, I am not the same person I was pre-diagnosis, but I am still me.
Take good care, ScentSpirit, donât be shy about getting second opinions and asking lots and lots and lots of questions, and do let people help you.
Hugs to you as well, skalolazka.
Sending healing vibes and hugs to you too Skalolazka.
Thanks for sharing this skalolazka. Hoping you’re seeing the other side of this soon! And I’m sorry you also felt a sense of guilt. The only thing anyone experiencing serious illness needs is care and compassion, period.
Sending hugs and healing prayers for you too.
Best wishes to you skalolazka, as you continue your treatment.
Sorry to hear this, but your family and friends will survive a christmas with less cheer. At the moment you come first, and you can do it!!!
I am so sorry! Sending you all the positive vibes I can muster.
Tell your friends and family, it may bring everyone more together during the holiday times. Lots of hugs
ScentSpririt, I just said a prayer for you and will continue to do so. Hugs.
Scent Spirit, prayers and hugs for you.
Praying for you ScentSpirit. Hard news, but itâs wonderful you have a friend who is able to be with you and understands from her own experience. I join with others in saying donât feel guilty about timing. You arenât tainting Christmas…you are giving them the opportunity to love and care for you, which is what itâs all about.
ScentSpirit, I am so sorry! Please don’t feel guilty and please keep us informed, we will all be rooting for you. My stepmother had breast cancer earlier this year, and I will 2nd what skalolazka says above, the health care system is so much better in terms of compassion than it used to be, at least for cancer.
I am so sorry that you have to go through this! My husband was also diagnosed with cancer right before Christmas, and I am hoping that you find the support and care that we found, and that by this time next year you are feeling much better.
Oh no, Iâm so sorry and it must just seem scary too, and unfair. Iâve had friends go through a lot of treatment and co e out very well, and so did my aunt a year ago. It seems they really have made a lot of great strides in treat. Iâm sure your family will care mostly that you can do well in the next few months and youâll get a lot of loving support. Iâm sending warm wishes your way.
Oh, Iâm so sorry! I wish you both a full and complete recovery. Sending my best and strongest vibes your way!
I used to sit in the waiting area of my partner’s oncologist while she was being seen. Once in awhile I would see a woman come in for what was clearly an initial visit. I felt for them and I feel for you. Be an active and involved patient.
ScentSpirit, please, do NOT feel guilty about your diagnosis. It isn’t your fault. Sending thoughts of strength, healing and hope your way.
I will keep you in my heart and thoughts, ScentSpirit.
Gorgeous photos!
Easy challenge for me, as I’m still working on my Le Labo samples. I’m in Patchouli 24 today, and trying to decide if I want to snag a bottle of this or of Ylang 49. Labdanum 18 is a dark horse candidate as well.
Thanks to all who offered me Christmas dessert suggestions over the weekend! One of my guests offered to bring TWO pies, plus my husband claims he’s making baked Alaska. Anyway, dessert has been struck from my to-do list . . .
Lab 18 is one of my favorites that Iâve tried from that line. So cozy!
Tough choice! I’m not a fan of Ylang 49, but among the three I would choose Patchouli 24. I think it’s more unique than Labdanum 18. P24 makes me sniff my boyfriend over and over when he wears it.
Ylang is my favorite of those (and probably of the whole line) and probably one of my most complimented! I think it’s the most seasonless of the 3. But any will be a great gift to self.
Second that!
Same for me.
Right now I’m leaning towards the Patchouli. I think Ylang is probably the “best” of the LL scents I’ve tried, but I’m only in a Big Floral mood occasionally and I have several other scents that fill that need. Lab is very nice and easy to wear, but I also have other similar scents. Patchouli is a departure for me, as I’m not generally a fan of smoky/leathery scents, but this one is so intriguing and unlike anything I own.
I like Ylang 49
Yay for not having to worry about dessert!
Greece! Greece! I should be there no matter how the weather is…
Wearing Histoires de Parfums 1969: peaches, chocolate, patchouli, roses…. Exactly what I needed for the first holiday lunch this week at work. At least it is a nice break in the middle of a hectic day.
Have a peaceful Hump day everyone!
Enjoy your lunch! You deserve it!
Thank you! I will! ?
Right back atcha pl67!âïžâźïž
?â
One of my favorites – I never liked fruity scents until I smelled 1969.
1969 is a great rich fruity scent. I enjoy it every time I wear it!
Enjoy lunch! I’ll have to try 1969, it sounds like something I’d love!
It is worth trying and it has good sillage and longevity.
Hope that your lunch was a good one!
Hi all,
SOTD is Dior’s Dune vintage extrait. I forget how gorgeous this one is. đ
Mmmmmmmm
I bet it is!
Smelling wonderful!
Wow, Dune in extrait! That sounds divine.
Smelling great!
I went to lunch with another perfumista coworker, we had a grand time shopping at Sephora and Nordstrom’s.
Then off to lunch (Mediterranean). We finished with a Turkish Coffee, I’m feeling a bit zippy!
I hope feeling âa bit zippy!â serves you very well! âșïž
Bon Perfumery 401 and 701 I thunked two for my middle Marzipan.
Did you thunk all of them already?
Yes but these are NOT the ones with Iris, Amber, cardamom and incense notes…. those I have put to the side and taped to avoid evaporation until I send them to their loving home next month ???
Doublethunk!
I have been on a roll with the thunking!!!!
No. 5 Eau Premiere for an early morning meeting. Off for the rest of the day.
Apparently I forgot to lock my car last night when I got home from work and someone took the liberty of rifling through everything. I donât keep much in my car and none of the three things they were likely looking for: money, drugs or electronics. They didnât take anything, not even my emergency road food bag of kettle chips! But they were kind enough to throw some of my center console items across my neighbors front lawn. Jerks.? Lesson learned.
Wow, annoying but fortunately not catastrophic.
Yikes!!!
Grrr…. people! I keep emergency cheeze-its
Eek it sucks they threw stuff on the neighbor’s yard. I had the same thing happen to me last year one night I forgot to lock my doors. I don’t keep anything of great value in my car, but the person rifled through my glove box and its contents were all over the passenger floor space, including like 50 CDs. The only thing they took was a cord I used to hook up my iPod to my sound system.
That happened to me a few years ago. They didn’t take a single thing, just threw everything around looking for stuff. So frustrating and upsetting!!! Hugs. Oh and you smell wonderful.
That sucks ? My husband’s car was broken into many moons ago when he was a nursing student. They smashed the window and stole his white uniform shoes and nothing else, lol. Hot black market for white nurse shoes for men, I’m sure!
Grrrr! ? Jerks!
That totally bites, what happened to your car! ?
Love the photo collage on today’s post.
Back in Chanel No. 19 edt. I dressed up a little for my workplace holiday party this afternoon, so I’m feeling fancy âš
Aww.. I bet you look as great as you smell!
You smell fantastic! Enjoy the party!
Smelling good and looking fancy, woo hoo! I’m dressed down today, but still smelling good in No. 19!
Ohhh, No. 19! So elegant!
I envy you feeling fancy! The other day I was parked in an oversized car wash (long story!) and a guy I thought might be the owner was emptying out the coins. I jumped out to explain to him why I was parked under the car wash and that Iâd be gone in a couple hours, and he said:
âOk, I just thought you were homeless.â Yep, I was in my baggy jeans, T-shirt, flannel shirt and birkies. Not feeling fancy at all! Lol?
Haha! That image makes me smile.
In LL Aldehyde 44 which I really like. Will have to wait til Sept to score another overpriced sample- they annoy me ? But I smell purdy!
I really like that one, too – I find it quite sexy, for an aldehyde fragrance!
Ha! I see it as more pretty than sexy, but I’ll take it! It’s both classic and modern to me.
Iâm in the disarmingly gorgeous Naja by Vero, courtesy of a very kind NSTer. Ahhh, SO beautiful!
Brewing up some hot, hot coffee and headed out for compliance labs. T-Rex is wolfing down her kibble while I dream of apple cinnamon scones I spotted in town yesterday. ? Iâll make do with a ham and cheese omelette after body fluids are deposited at the lab. Life is good! Knock on wood!?
Catch up on comments in a bit, but in the meantime: smell well on this happy Humpday, yâallâ?
Your Insta pics have been so gorgeous the last few days! Hugs!
Thanks, KellyC! Hard to take a bad photo in these surroundings. Hugs back at ya! ?
How do we find you?
On instagram? Iâm @vantasticviews. Hereâs a link to a photo from today:

Pass me a cup of that hot, hot coffee
âïžâïžâïž!
Tired, and busy day off. Sotd is Chanel Allure.
You smell great, lillyjo. Hope you get at least a little rest on your busy “day off”.
Ahhh, you smell great.
You smell great Lillyjo – Allure is a favorite! Hope you get to have a little fun on your day off.
I understand you! My days off are always busier than the working days. I am always tired. No time to rest. I hope you found some free time today to relax a bit. Hugs!
Iâm tired too! And achy! Maybe Iâm just getting old(er)! Hope we both feel better tomorrow??
I think of Allure as one of your “signature” scents lillyjo. I hope it gave you some ooomph to get all your stuff done today.
In another Smell Bent, this time it’s One. I smell like vanilla and old books.
That sounds incredibly appealing!
I thought I was going to love that one, but when I got the sample, it was Meh! to me. Glad youâre enjoying it??
Housemates with Robin in Jasmin de Nuit.
Yesterday I did wear my decant of No. 19, so that counts!
Good news: the days start getting longer on Saturday.
Yes this IS good news âïž??ïž
3 more days for longer days! Yay!?âïž
So thankful days start getting longer!
Hey cousin!
I cannot wait for longer days.
Hurray for longer days! It’s been a bummer seeing so much dark.
Chanel No. 19 edt today. Wish I could go home and cook and bake but alas, I’m at work. Ugh.
Twins!
We smell so good!
work gets in the way of life
So true! I want to be holiday frolicking not working!
Wish I could be with you in your home eating that great food LOL ? ?
Come on over, I love having company and cooking for folks!
And I love eating..win win LOL ? ?? ?? ?
Ha! Thatâs exactly how I feel on work days!
*waves*
1) I am in Boucheron on top of Carol’s Daughter Buttercream Cocoa body lotion. Yum!
2) If any of youse are still wanting to order things, Zulilly has a bunch of deals, as does QVC, promising delivery by the 25 (next Tuesday). Whoa!
Oooh, thanks for the Zulilly tip, I got lucky – curly friends, they have Deva products on sale! I am much poorer now, but not as poor as if I’d paid retail.
Oh yes! That is the way to do it- you can get bigger bottles of No poo and one condition and really save on retail that way.
Since you’re the Boucheron queen, do you prefer EDT or EDP? I’ve recently tried it for the first time in EDT form but am curious how they compare.
I personally like the EDT because Boucheron is such a big fragrance that the lighter designation makes it easier to wear. Also- you can wear the EDT in the summer time and it would be just right, not an overwhelming oriental scent at all.
Thanks, that’s good to hear. I like the EDT quite a bit.
I am smelling swell in 31 Rue Cambon. I needed to wear at least one Chanel for the CP.
Only one more work day for me this week. I can’t wait until this day is done.
You smell great! I have a small decant somewhere, i think I’ll wear it this week as well for the community project.
Wore that one yesterday and enjoyed it all day. You smell great. Hope the rest of your day goes by fast!
Today was kind of nutso for me too!
I am feeling a bit better (i have a cold). My sense of smell is returning, wearing (90s formulation) Safari edp. Good stuff.
Glad that you’re feeling better Jiji. I’ve never tried Safari but have read that it has that vintage vibe. It’s probably perfect for someone with a cold.
So glad to hear it!
Good to hear that you are starting to feel better, Jiji!
Wore Series 3: Incense Zagorsk by CdG. Much green wood, not enough incense. Still searching for the perfect incense scent…
Collegue at work was sick, so double shifts the next days. No christmas shopping for groceries at our farmers market….not nice
Ugh, too bad about those double shifts!
5 oâclock au gingembre â my first-ever SL and also, IIRC, my first âseriousâ perfume purchase. I wanted my husband to try it, but he sniffed my arm and said, âToo much musk.â I get lavender. Anyway, I donât wear this often, but I do enjoy it. And now, off to scrub it off because I just be fragrance-free later today.
Now I am trying to remember the first SL I bought… might have been Chene?
I think Iâm wearing No. 5 Eau Premiere. I made myself a decant off my sisterâs bottle and forgot to label it. Iâm not enough of a No. 5 person to really know for sure. Could be cause to lose any credibility…..
I will say that I wore Oeillet Bengale yesterday and love the spiciness of it. I kept getting slight whiffs in the movie theater.
I love getting lite whiffs if mysel, especially in the drydowns.
I am bothered by unlabeled decants / samples, so much so that I refuse to wear them for fear of loving them with no way of knowing what captured my interest.
The longer it went on, the more certain I am itâs Eau Premiere.
SoOTD was Aftelier Wild Roses from a sample. I kept getting whiffs of something really wonderful and much more resinous than I expected. I think perhaps the perfume I put in last noght hadnât completely worn off and they were mixing together nicely.
Should be âput on last nightâ. I hate typing with my thumbs on a phone screen!
I split a two bottle order of this with nozknoz then split my bottle 3 ways. You smell fabulous and you are right that it has more body.
SOTD = Chanel 28 La Pausa
8 sprays, of course.
Today was the in office holiday party and I made Croissantrees as shown here:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BrjolgeFsu5/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=krsa5a7s86v2
It won Best Decorated and garnered the most number of votes! Next time, I will dip the pretzel in chocolate and pipe in a little bit if cookie butter.
I made 8 of the Chocolate-covered Cookie Butter popcorn popsicle but it was very time consuming, relatively unstable (chocolate is heavy) and did not have a smooth finish. Itâs back to the drawing board on the design for the next event. It was sooooo delicious.
Wow! They came out great and look soooooo delicious đ
Thank you CM8. I had fun making them. I now have 33 bottom 3rd pieces and 1 mangled mini croissant left. What to do???
Bread pudding!
Sounds like a great idea. Now looking for a no bake recipe!
Yay! I’m glad you won, they look great!??
Thank you, lillyjo!
They look great and delicious!
Thank you, pfl67!
Your croissantrees look fab and delicious! Yumm
Thanks, Jiji. Maybe I should trademark âcroissantreeâ?
Yeah you should! ??
Theyâre so pretty!
Thank you, Calypso. I was trying to make the perfect dots for the balls but the sloppy dots make them look organic.
Like ElisaP, I couldn’t picture them from your description either but they came out very cute!
Thank you, Petunia! I figured I should show pictures!
Hajusuuri, I think you should run for president based on those glorious baked goodies! I had no clue what you weee talking about until I saw them…Iâd vote for you in a heartbeat! ??
Too funny, Deva. This was a no bake dessert so credit for the baked go to Aldi for the croussants and Clancyâs for the pretzel sticks!
Well, slap my face! I thought you really went all out, start to finish! Iâd still vote for you, though…?
Very cute! I second foxbinsâ suggestion to make bread pudding out of the leftovers.
Thanks! Bread pudding sounds like a plan!
Those Croissantrees were adorable!
Aren’t they ? ???
Those look amazing!
Lots of comments already! So I will cut to the chase. Another sunny day here, at least for part of the day. It was nice while it lasted. My mom left the rehab hospital yesterday and is back at her assisted living facility. It sounds like she will be getting some PT there, too.
SOTD = Oriza L. Legrand Oeillet Louis XV EdP, from the sample stash. Thanks to a couple of NSTers for giving me a mental nudge in its direction… it is working beautifully for me today.
Happy your mom is progressing! Is the end goal return to home? Or is that not feasible at this point? Glad you are having better staying power with other Oriza scents…!
No problems with Orizas staying on me. I think it was austenfan who found a couple of them did disappearing acts?
The assisted living facility IS my mom’s home for the foreseeable future. She is in the independent living wing… it’s kind of a college dorm for senior citizens. Her days of living in a condo are done.
Got ya! I thought she may be discharged to a SNF. Hope she keeps right on progressing!
Great news about your mom!?
It sure is! ?
Great news. Wishing her full recovery soon.
Thank you PL67!
Glad your mom had progressed enough to go to her assisted living facility!
Me too!
Go mom go! So glad she has improved enough to go back to her new home.
She was doing rather well at the rehab hospital, based on what my brother saw. He’ll probably go visit her sometime during his next round of days off.
Good news about mom! You must feel very relieved.
Some relief, yes. There are still some unknowns at this point, and only time will tell on long term prognoses.
Good news! Glad sheâs back at her home.
Thanks LizzieB!
So glad to hear of your momâs progression!
Great news about your mum, it must be such a relief, I hope the PT will go as smoothly as her stay in hospital and will allow her to become independent quite soon.
I’m sure you smell great, with all the love Oriza Legrand gets I am going to use my sampler soon.
Just wearing Camel today since I went out in a hurry and it was handy. Did PT then got a haircut and then took Mom to my orthopedist because she has a bad knee. He gave her a steroid shot, and I sure hope it helps. Sheâs really been suffering. Then we went to Trader Joeâs just because itâs kind of fun. Got lots of neat little things. I have good ideas for Friday if only I can find what Iâm looking for!
Donât they have some cute, inexpensive, and creative gifts? Last year I bought several things there to take as a hostess gift, etc.
I love Trader Joeâs so much, they have the best stuff around the holidays. Hope your momâs knee feels better after the shot.
