Indie brand DS & Durga has launched a new quartet of fragrances in collaboration with new wave band Duran Duran. The four limited edition fragrances — Come Undone, Hungry Like The Wolf, Skin Divers and You Kill Me With Silence — are exclusive to Liberty of London.
In celebration of four decades of innovation, the band approached the Brooklyn-based niche fragrance house to realize four scents inspired by iconic songs from their catalogue. The collection is D.S. & Durga perfumer and musician David Moltz and Simon Le Bon's shared translations of the songs' lyrics and images; fragrant snapshots that range from the surreal vibrancy of the 80's to love and carnal encounters.
Come Undone ~ "Created as part of a collaboration with rock royalty Duran Duran, D.S. & Durga's Come Undone perfume oil evokes an immaculate dream made from breath and skin – think herbaceous spices with an alcoholic edge... Come Undone features rebellious notes of saffron, coca leaf, geraniol and tonka. “A sexy song and a sexy scent! It smells of body secretions - musks, hot breath and possibly illegal substances.......!” – David Moltz, D.S. & Durga co-founder and perfumer"
Hungry Like The Wolf ~ "Created as part of a collaboration with rock royalty Duran Duran, D.S. & Durga's Hungry Like the Wolf perfume oil smells just like it sounds – think leather and woods under a pale, powdery haze... Hungry Like the Wolf features notes of leather, atlas cedar, cade, sandalwood and patchouli that capture the vibrant energy of the original music video. “I insisted on this song from the 80’s (although there were so many that would have worked!) The fragrance is animalic and captures some of the scenes in the video - the market, the jungle at night. It is furry, wolfy and badass!” – David Moltz, D.S. & Durga co-founder and perfumer"
Skin Divers ~ "Created as part of an collaboration with rock royalty Duran Duran, D.S. & Durga's Skin Divers perfume oil captures love in an aquatic landscape – think salt water, citrus and blooming florals... Skin Divers features hyper-fresh notes of seaweed, blue water, ylang ylang, vetiver and bergamot citrus. “Using Calone (a molecule created in the 1990’s) to help convey a drenched love affair.” – David Moltz, D.S. & Durga co-founder and perfumer"
You Kill Me With Silence ~ "Created as part of a collaboration with rock royalty Duran Duran, D.S. & Durga's You Kill Me With Silence perfume oil captures cold, silent woods in torment – think smoke, ice and incense.... You Kill Me With Silence features moody, hostile notes of smoke, cistus, ice and incense. “A cold and smokey Arctic wood fragrance. It uses Nootka tree and wintergreen extract to achieve a bitter woody note that conjures the feeling of being frozen out by a loved one in a fight - like in the song.” – David Moltz, D.S. & Durga co-founder and perfumer"
DS & Durga + Duran Duran Come Undone, Hungry Like The Wolf, Skin Divers and You Kill Me With Silence are £75 each for 10 ml at Liberty London.

Wow. Just wow. Great branding. Heaven in stocking stuffer form.
Yes. I neglected to include the fact that they seem to have done only 500 bottles each, which just seems crazy to me. I would think they could sell oodles of these.
I would so buy Hungry like the wolf, if only they made it easier to buy…
Hoping they will expand distribution, but I have no way of knowing.
I’m feeling my teal eyeliner right now!! These all sound great, but I find perfume oils to be too intense and thick. And, unfortunately, since I don’t live in the UK I’ll never get to sample them.
I don’t like oils either, and my bad, I did not even realize they were oils — it does say so on the outer packaging apparently but Liberty just calls them “Pocket Perfume” and that’s what it says on the bottle too. So thanks for pointing that out!
Arielle is carrying this line as well now. No affiliation but a HUGE fan or her shop! I like the Kill me with Silence and Like the wolf is so cool 70’s music vibe! I can’t wait to try.
Thanks AngelaB!
So it all becomes clear-this is what has compelled me to have a no-buy year, so I could blow it all at the end! 🙂
