The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 14 August 2018 5 Comments

Herbal teas from Palais des Thés: the Garden Promenades gift set, with 50g tins of four infusions: Tropical garden ("delicious blend of mango, pineapple, papaya and peach, evoking sweet, delicious fruit"), Andalusian garden ("blend of pink grapefruit and lemon peel that evokes the fresh, acidic atmosphere of a luscious garden"), Romantic garden ("blend of peach, pineapple and lemon myrtle that will immerse yourself in the poetry of a garden sprinkled with sweet flowers and sun-drenched fruits") and Queen's garden (" blend of apple, caramelized almonds and cinnamon that evokes the flavours of childhood"). $35. Hat tip to Austenfan, who has tried and likes the Andalusian.

So you did manage to post it in the end!
The Palais des Thés jardins series is excellent. Out of this quartet I´ve only tried Andalouse, but I´ve tried others and none of them have disappointed me. They are also really good as cold infusions.

Yes! Don’t know why I could not get their website to work for a few days.

Oh, this looks like the tea set I received as a present a while back! I’ll also add that it’s a very nice set. The Tropical Garden isn’t really my thing–not what I’m looking for in a cup of tea–but I seem to be in the minority there.

I don’t drink a ton of herbal tea myself and many fruity teas are too sweet for me. The Andalusian one does sound good though!

It´s a pity this set doesn´t include Jardin des Songes which is an aromatic blend with lavender and chamomile, very, very good,
