Imaginary Authors Sundrunk ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 July 2018 10 Comments

Indie brand Imaginary Authors has launched Sundrunk, a new unisex citrus fragrance. Like the other fragrances in the line, it was inspired by an imaginary book by an imaginary author.

“Woozy and warm from the sun, we shared an orange pop and watched the surfers’ last lines of the day.” –Amy Obispo

A neroli and rhubarb beauty, Sundrunk from Imaginary authors lays out the the obvious choice as to when to wear this fragrance. Plunge into this fragrance at the peak of summer, allowing the cool citrus to wash your worries away. Less obvious is to douse yourself in the darker months, letting your skin soak up the sun and radiate it outward when it matters most.

Additional notes include honeysuckle, rose water, orange zest and first kiss.

Imaginary Authors Sundrunk is available now at Twisted Lily, in 14 ($38) or 50 ($95) ml Eau de Parfum.

Obispo as in San Louis Obispo? Hmm. The perfume sounds pretty but like it could be fleeting, which is how last year’s St Julep turned out to be on my skin. I don’t think it lasted ten minutes. I do like others from this line though.

I forgive a good citrus for being fleeting, but I also did not have that problem with Saint Julep luckily!

I really enjoy Imaginary Authors. I own several and will be eager to try this. First kiss as a note, though?

Sounds interesting but 2 notes concern me:

    – water. Calone is a deal breaker.

    – first kiss. Lipstick accord? Violet? Bubblegum? God-forbid Bad Breath?

Okay, I am glad for the snark here, because I really wanted to drag the first kiss accord bit! :-D

This sounds very refreshing; I am not so sure about a first kiss accord. Anytime I think of my first kiss I become very melancholy as all these years later I realize I love him still!
