Kate Spade TRULYtimeless ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 June 2018 13 Comments

Kate Spade has launched TRULYtimeless, a followup to last year's TRULYgracious, TRULYdazzling, TRULYdaring and TRULYjoyful.

White cotton is as timeless a fabric as the breeze that flows through summer days. TRULYtimeless Eau de Toilette by Kate Spade New York evokes the clean freshness and warm glow of early morning light with its signature cotton accord. Crisp aldehydes and white musks bring the cool feeling of floating on a cloud while the neroli blossoms and cedarwood create an earthy warmth for contrasting addiction.

Kate Spade TRULYtimeless is available now at Ulta, $65 for 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

It looks like they applied for this trademark in February, so I assume it was already planned. But yeah, you’d think Arden might have put it off for a bit out of respect. (If it is still Arden — I think it is but not 100% sure.)

        Not Arden.

TRULYtasteless. I know the design decisions (the black cap and the black border on the label as if it is mourning stationery) were made much earlier and are in line with the other flankers, but really. the current owners of Kate Spade couldn’t wait another month or so to launch this.

Oh, you are so right. I bet whoever made the calls had no clue about the mourning stationery. Or else they did, and have just achieved new levels of crassness. Ugh.

    Truely untimely

I’ll offer a semi-contrarian view and say that the name of the perfume memorializes Kate Spade; however, the company missed an opportunity to use this launch as a platform to bring mental health and / or suicide prevention to the forefront by donating a portion of the profits towards these causes.

Yes to this! Agree about using it as an opportunity here.

I agree with hajusuuri. Perhaps they could’ve waited a little longer to launch this though.

Can’t believe this actually happened – crass, untimely, insensitive, inappropriate but of course potentially lucrative – should be ashamed of themselves.

Ouch. Agree with what Hajusuuri and others have already written.
