Chanel will launch Les Eaux de Chanel next month. The three fragrances — Paris-Biarritz, Paris-Deauville and Paris-Venise — were developed by house perfumer Oliver Polge.
LES EAUX DE CHANEL, natural and simple perfuming that immediately carries you away. A sleek sleeve with the sensual feel of natural materials that evoke the waves lapping on the beach. A light bottle with a rounded silhouette that fits in the palm of the hand. A misting spray for full and generous application on skin or clothing. A large bottle to renew the sensation of freshness, so vivid it takes you on a journey.
Paris-Biarritz ~ "An ultra-fresh, invigorating fragrance inspired by the pure air and energy of the Basque coast that Gabrielle Chanel loved so dearly. A refreshing trail like a splash of sea spray. The lasting freshness of an eau de toilette with an invigorating signature. Vibrant and fruity, Sicilian mandarin highlights the sparkling radiance of a lily-of-the-valley accord."
Paris-Deauville ~ "A zesty, aromatic fragrance inspired by the landscapes along the Normandy coast, where Gabrielle Chanel opened her first boutique. A vivid, radiant freshness. The distinguished elegance of an eau de toilette that blends the aromatic green facets of basil with the sparkling top notes of Sicilian orange."
Paris-Venice ~ "A fresh oriental trail inspired by the exotic and enchanting city of Venice, one of Gabrielle Chanel's favorite places. A fragrance of shadow and light, between freshness and sensuality. An eau de toilette with a sensual structure. The beautiful contrast between the fresh and luminous neroli essence and the enveloping warmth of an oriental accord, with an ambery tinge of vanilla and tonka bean notes."
Les Eaux de Chanel Paris-Biarritz, Paris-Deauville and Paris-Venise will be available in 125 ml (and possibly other sizes as well).

I learned of these the other day. Admittedly, I am smitten. They don’t sound terribly interesting, but I’m a sucker for Chanel. I’m also a sucker for a fragrance with basil.
I like basil too 🙂
I like basil on a big plate of caprese!
Yes, that too!
Yum!
I like light summery fragrances and simple attractive bottles, so I will certainly try these.
No info on pricing yet, Robin?
I don’t have info on pricing, sorry.
Just tested them at Nordstrom in N. California. US$130 per bottle, available for purchase August 15.
Venise sounds right up my alley but honestly I want to sample them all
Count me in on Venice, too!
Venise grabbed my attention too!
Count me in the “sucker for Chanel” group. It seems to me that the Eau de Cologne in the Exclusifs line was promoted with copy like “for full and generous application,” so I’m expecting pricing in line with Les Exclusifs. I’d love to try them out, even so.
Hubba hubba.
Hahaha! I feel the same way, Luna Green.
Yes!!! Split! Split! Split!
Yay!! Split! Split! Split!
I third that emotion. Split!!
Add me to the list of excited folks too!
I read $140 on Fragrantica but have no idea if that’s right. I hope to get samples or small decants to try out. I loved No 5 L’eau and somehow never tried the exclusifs eau de cologne (shocking because Chanel is my favorite house and I love colognes)
I love the Eau de Cologne. Definitely try it.
To be sold only via Chanel channels? That could complicate things.
Yeah.
Oh. Didn’t notice that. Not sure exactly what that will mean?
I think that just means that they will be a little harder to test out (not in all the places that carry CoCo etc)
Right. But what does it mean for meeee? Will the Seattle flagship Nordies carry it, for example? They have kind of an in-store Chanel boutique. (I am just being self-centered and plotting how I can get to try them…)
So jealous! Keep us posted if you try them!! Chanel already has the links ready on their website but nothing displaying on the pages. I am suuuper excited!
Will do!! ????????
Probably means they will be available at a Chanel Boutique – that’s where I’ve tested and purchased mine. In South Florida at the Gardens Mall and at The Breakers.
In my (limited) experience, that means stores and boutiques, but not in-store counters…
I’m still recovering from this news. My perfumista-enabling-friend found them first. Her source mentioned around 120 euro’s. Aiming at Paris-Venise first ????
Apparently Wertheimer has milked the trademark “Coco” dry as everything from handbags to fragrance refer to her as Gabrielle.
I’m not so sure its a good idea.
Well, I am not a fan of the whole Gabrielle storytelling strategy. It just pushes me away from this brand.
Also…keira and that other young actress in their campaigns…i guess they aim for a younger audience…?
When I first saw the photo of the bottles I thought, “Oh, yay! A new line from Berdoues.” Whoops.
Paris-Deauville sounds wonderful, but I decided to give up chasing Chanel lemmings some time ago.
Oh wow, so many enthousiastic reactions. But, but….
Recent releases from this brand are not that exciting to me. Chance…Gabrielle…another no5 flanker…a Mademoiselle flanker….
I guess I will not run to the stores to try this, but if I bump into them will give them a try.
Btw, I like/love some of the exclusifs, but they made them more expensive now (and reformulation)….boo, hiss.
Les Exclusifs are mostly (or entirely?) moved to eaux de parfum concentrations, and no longer eaux to toilette, right?
Eaux de toilette, sorry.
Yup!
