Nasomatto Nudiflorum ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 30 March 2018 22 Comments

Niche line Nasomatto has launched Nudiflorum, a new fragrance.

Nasomatto's Nudiflorum eau de parfum is a nude floral, inspired by the purity of intuition and the blurring of boundaries that leads to the most genuine form of intimacy.

The Nudiflorum fragrance is one of spontaneity and exposure; a hazy ritual of 'uncovering' that unmasks the senses, leaving them bare. A sensual jasmine accord creates a nude-floral hybrid with a carnal depth, simulating a delicate collision of skin-on-skin. The Italian-made bottle is a visual invitation into the aroma's natural world, with a cap carved from padauk wood.

Nasomatto Nudiflorum is available now at Liberty in the UK, £118 for 30 ml Extrait de Parfum.

This is one I want to try. I’m a huge fan of Black Afgano and Pardon are definitely favorites.

That sounds interesting unless it is a really special jasmine.

Ha, remember when you announced the last one they would ever do?

That said, I would buy another bottle of China White if I could get the original price.

So happy to hear he’s releasing another fragrance under this house. I could have sworn I heard he wasn’t releasing any more “Nassomatto” fragrances. So this is good news! Love Pardon and Black Afgano too! This ones sounds divine. He’s super talented.

Yes, Blamage was the tenth and “final” perfume for the line. Ha.

Also adore Pardon and Black Afgano. I really like the bottles and the carved wood caps. I know that seems silly, but I just do.

Not silly at all. Visual presentation is important to quite a few of us!

Nude floral? I am confused. Are there brazenly naked flowers, flowers who are modestly attired, and discreetly and artistically undressed (hence nude) flowers?

      ????

I saw a wonderful orchid exposition at Hillwood Estate this week, and brazenly naked would describe many of them.

I feel a bit cynical after reading the copy. It sounds like a likely abstract floral composition.

They lost me after “the blurring of boundaries that leads to the most genuine form of intimacy”

I dont know what that means, but I like my boundaries like good writing: clear and sharp. ????
Now I am not a native speaker but I just don’t ‘get’ this ???? ….but i get the impression it is millenial-proof ????

Jiji, maybe you are not a native speaker… still, you don’t miss a trick! :D Millenial-proof, indeed! ;)

Indeed, check out that millennial pink packaging…

Though you be fair, I’m a millenial myself. So maybe it’s missing the mark by shooting too straight.

Well they had a great jasmine scent called Nuda, which I believe got discontinued due ti IFRA. Maybe this is the replacement, reformulated to meet new jasmine limits. If it is I’m glad they renamed it rather than trying to pass it off as Nuda.
