The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 31 January 2018 9 Comments

From Method's new limited edition Urban Metallics collection for Spring 2018 (seriously), Golden Citrus: "a rich, intoxicating golden hue is coupled with notes of zesty lemon, grapefruit and orange". Available in gel hand wash, foaming hand wash, dish soap and all-purpose cleaner. The three other scents in the collection (Cool Lavender, Burnished Cedar and Copper Rain) are in gel hand wash and foaming hand wash only. At Target and Walgreens.

I was at Target yesterday and I would’ve grabbed the Cool Lavender if I’d known about these. Method French Lavender is my absolute favorite home product-type scent.

I am fond of their basil dish liquid, but have a little collection of half-used hand washes in various LE Method scents I bought because of pretty packaging but eventually couldn’t stand to smell anymore. That’s not so bad as half-used perfumes, I guess, but I will smell this before I buy!

I am incorrigible, I take the top off of hand wash and sniff the liquid before I buy. If I find it is too strongly scented I dilute with water by three-fourths or more. It still foams up nicely.

Well I do too!! I just make bad decisions when confronted with pretty packaging, LOL…

Yay, Target! I will look for Cool Lavender next time I visit. My bottle of Mrs. Meyer’s Lavender dish soap is almost empty.

btw, I sniffed 12 of the Good Chemistry fragrances yesterday. They had a nice display with pretty tester bottles. It reminded me of the days when my neighborhood drugstore had a dozen or more tester bottles out at a time. I liked the Bluebell very much and spritzed my arm. It was light and very pretty but dried down to a spiky jamine/woods that I’ve smelled in other scents. Ultimately a no-go, but I do want to get back and spritz a few more. 🙂

Oh good to know! When you find the best one, do come back and tell us. I am overdue for a Target run myself.

I will take a sniff the next time I am at Target. I am currently using Method hams soap gel in Ginger Tea. I am not an OCD level hamd washer but if I were to be one, this is rhe one soap I would hoard.

Also, I know it’s not realistic but I wish all the Method products were all available in one aisle. It will lead me and some people to impulse buy nased on scent rather than whether I really need to replenish a product for a specific use.

oooh, Ginger Tea hand wash sounds very nice. There’s almost nothing worse than an annoying hand wash scent that I have to smell every time I bring my wrist to my nose in the perfumista salute. 🙂
