Etro Udaipur ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 31 January 2018 7 Comments

Etro Udaipur

Italian brand Etro will launch Udaipur, a new fragrance celebrating the brand's 50th anniversary.

For its 50th anniversary, Etro is launching a very special fragrance called Udaipur in honor of the "white city" that lies on Lake Pichhola in Rajasthan. What images, sights, and sounds are most remembered after a trip through India? One certainly remembers the deep hues of the endless, iridescent sky, the sparkling radiance of rubies, the dawning of a desert beyond the horizon. Long inspired by the colors and fabrics of India, Etro now turns its hand to painting India in all her glory for perfume lovers. This scent is a captivating, surprising interpretation of a fragrance journey through India, which fascinates with ever new nuances. The scent touches on several themes, such as the magical world of a royal palace garden, a spice market beguiling the senses in the early dawn, and the elaborate love story behind "1001 Nights".

Etro Udaipur is available now for pre-order (April delivery) at Essenza Nobile in Germany, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Beautiful city, beautiful inspiration. Hope that royal palace garden includes a frangipani note…

Frangipani & spices would be nice. We’ll see!

I so want to like this one. I love scents based on India and I love the bottles in their India-inspired line, but the scents themselves have not lived up to my expectations so far. I spent my first anniversary in Udaipur so I really want to like this one!

“fragrance journey through India which fascinates with ever new nuances” made me laugh out loud. The smells of garbage and human and animal sewage are so strong here that I lose my sense of smell after about a week.
