Womenswear and accessories brand Proenza Schouler will launch their debut fragrance, Arizona, next month. Arizona was produced under a license agreement with L'Oréal.
The first fragrance by Proenza Schouler. Discover this radiant eau de parfum, blooming with a white cactus flower accord and a unique mineral signature. Arizona is a feeling of adventure. A place of beauty and mystery. Inspired by the ravines and ridges that define the horizon of the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, the bottle is a piece of art in itself. The final shape, like a drop encapsulated into faceted angles of rocks, is a unique glass innovation allowing a disruptive asymmetry.
Additional notes include orris, jasmine, orange flower, solar accord, musk and cashmeran.
Proenza Schouler Arizona can be pre-ordered now at the brand website, $100 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Proenza Schouler Arizona was developed by perfumers Loc Dong and Carlos Benaïm.
Cool bottle. Have a couple of their scarves that I got for chips at end of season sales a few years ago. They don’t seem to sell scarves anymore. Just had a gander at their accessories page, and they’re uber-expensive for what they are. Not surprised, just sayin’.
It is a nice looking bottle, and not the worst price I’ve ever seen.
I live in the Sonoran desert and would love to have a fragrance that smells like it, particularly after a rain. The notes here do not sound promising, to be honest. Desert-inspired fragrances never capture the creosote/sage/mesquite smells very successfully, and those are the main notes I associate with this region.
Seems really unlikely you’re going to find that from a designer fragrance, but I guess weirder things have happened 🙂
This article from Vanity Fair about the origins of the fragrance also don’t give me too much hope for a “true” desert feel…

Still, I’ll be interested in trying it if I come across it.
