Guerlain reissues Moscow, a 2009 fragrance from the Une Ville, Un Parfum collection, as Baiser de Russie, in the Les Parisiennes series: "Faithfully following the very vocation of the collection, Les Parisiennes welcomes in 2018 a deeply regretted and highly demanded fragrance: Moscow, from the collection "Une ville, Un parfum". Baiser de Russie pays tribute to the Muscovite and her "boho chic" look, reinventing with audacity the richness of Russian traditional bohemian style. Pine needles, Jasmine and Cranberry notes blend in a fruity musky floral and ultra-feminine perfume which echoes the heartbeat that pounds through the Russian capital." $280 for 125 ml Eau de Parfum at Neiman Marcus.

Want. Cannot afford. Need more rubles. Увы.
LOL!
я точно знаю!
Excellent.
Has anyone tried this? Notes sound great!
I don’t remember the original Moscow being a huge hit, but otherwise cannot help, sorry.
I don’t really associate “Moscow” with nice smells, or even (if we are taking the “weird and offbeat can be nice in fragrance, too” approach) with scents that I would be interested in putting on my skin. Perhaps the renaming will improve sales?
Okay!
1) I know a few Russian ladies (all engineers and scientists) and I would not think of them as boho chic. Elegant and sporty, more like.
2) That’s a lot of rubles, мой друг! Given how expensive flats are in Moscow, a lady would think twice- THRICE- before spending this!
No kidding! Some younger Russian women do work the boho angle extremely well, but yes, most of my female Russian friends tend more toward steely elegance. And yeah, both commercial and residential real estate prices…ouch.
1) I had the honor of meeting a friend of a Russian friend, who was visiting from Vladivostok- and she was just well turned out, very elegant indeed- but not the “I woke up like this’ boho chic. The secret I think was a well kept coat, excellent scarves and great shoes and a plain easy to wear but well fitted black dress.
2) Moscow prices are NO JOKE, especially when think that most Moscovite workers do not make that type of income! There is an appreciation of aesthetics and cosmetics but the fragrance has to striking and/or classic for a Russian lady to part with her hard earned рубль. This just seem to be chasing yet more so called Russian oligarch money to me- which is dumb, since those same oligarchs can easily go to Britain, France or Italy for a better product. Or they can go to any one of the resurgent Russian perfumers working now.
I like the bottle and the color of the juice. Will not buy so money saved will go towards my theoretical perfume budget.
