“Sniffing sweater” scenes

Posted by Robin on 8 January 2018 7 Comments

What do you generally do when you're stressed? Maybe have a warm cup of coffee, hoping that it would give you a relief? Science says all you need to do is sniff your romantic partner's shirt.

Yes, all those "sniffing sweater" scenes you have seen in romantic movies actually work. In fact, a recent study published this week in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology has found that anxious women had lower stress levels when they smelled shirt their partners had worn.

I usually proceed with caution when I smell my better half, it’s usually body odor

Sniff Your Stess Away needs to be adopted as a perfumista motto forthwith.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve heard that you can sniff a wool scarf instead of coffee beans between perfume testings, and it clears your nose well, but not this… it makes complete sense though! So that means I need to take my husband’s wool scarf along with me to my next sniffing for double the benefit, right? :)

I prefer to opt for straight up Steal His Perfume, especially since his closet is where our Dzing, Monsieour Balmain, and Bulgari Black live!

How about sniffing your own sweater? I love tucking my nose under the collar and getting a good whiff of my perfume.
