The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 30 November 2017 7 Comments

I was probably happier before I knew this existed: Armani Bois d'Encens Shower Gel. "A body wash with the Haute Couture fragrance of Armani/ Privé Bois d'Encens. Start your fragrance ritual in the shower, bathe in luxury with a body wash inspired by the secrets of the Armani hotel. The Bois d'Encens luxury eau de parfum showcases Somalian Incense, an olfactory reflection of the hours Giorgio Armani spent with his grandmother in Italian churches. It is a rebirth of the mystery of the oldest known perfume in the world, Kyphi, created 4,000 years ago by the Egyptians. Bois d'Encens springs from Giorgio Armani's own memories. Mystical and enchanting, Bois d'Encens balances the essence and pure incense of woody perfumes, sumptuously enhanced with vetiver and cedar. It is the luxury fragrance Giorgio Armani wears every day." 200 ml for $50 at Bergdorf Goodman.

You know, $50 is not a COMPLETELY insane amount of money to spend on shower gel. I mean, it’s a lot, but you could justify it if you wanted to, maybe by not eating out for a month and putting that money in a jar.

In related news, last month I bought a tube of that limited-edition Marvis toothpaste, the rose-lemon-tangerine-nutmeg one, and it was totally worth it to me, although I concede that $18 for toothpaste is kind of nuts.

      1) Agreed! $50 is my monthly allowance at Starbucks, so I can see cutting that out and swapping in this.
      2) The eau de parfum is $174 at Notino, so this is a bargain in comparison

Nah, literally I would not enjoy it! I would have an easier time spending the $18 on toothpaste even if that makes no sense.

Yeah. They also did gels in the Pivoine & the Rose d’Arabie, and possibly others I didn’t see.
