Olivier Durbano has launched Labradorite, a new fragrance.
Moon Stone or the Subtle Brightness of the Divine
According to the beliefs of the South American Indians, the electric blue or green reflection of labradorite symbolises the Light of Heaven which rises above the world, graced with Sanctuaries and Divine Secrets. Inuits believe labradorite comes from the fire of the Aurora Borealis, and that, over come by the cold, it graciously falls to earth. Labradorite, Lunar Stone, Bearer of Light that dispels the dark haze of illusions cast by past beliefs and emotions experienced…
[...] A fragrance with the Subtle Radiance of the Divinity, Labradorite is associated with the power of Palo Santo, a Sacred Wood blended with mysterious, captivating tuberose, starlight and invigorating marjoram, with deep and powerful undertones of opopanax, civet and castoreum … #13 Labradorite cleanses, purifies and symbolises the passage to a higher plane of existence. For Kabbalists, it is the sign of the dragon…. 13 is the number which represents Mary, whose mission is to crush the dragon’s head. 13 just like a wheel with 12 spokes, 12 units around a central, beneficial point. Under the Zodiac, 13:12+1 is the number of the Eternal Return.
Additional notes include cardamom, amber, incense, agarwood, sandalwood and musk.
Olivier Durbano Labradorite is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, €195.

I am really looking forward to this one. Durbano makes some really interesting stuff.
Oh do tell. What have you liked?
I have Rock Crystal, Rose Quartz, Citrine, Heliotrope and Black Tourmaline.
He does. I’ve fallen behind again — have not yet tested the last two.
Oh, this sounds nice, but I may be biased because I love labradorite. If I see it, I’ll sniff it????
Same here!
“…blended with mysterious, captivating tuberose, starlight and invigorating marjoram…”
Urhm starlight….whatdawhat? (puzzled expression on my face right now)
Or is starlight also the name of a smelly plant/flower/shrub/…?
Those notes are dreamy, but that price tag – yoiks!
Oops! I didn’t even pay attention the price. I guess if I don’t give it a sniff I won’t know what I’m missing. Money saved????
I liked this one at Pitti
Care to elaborate? I am really interested in Labradorite but Luckyscent has no samples and his line is not a big seller for them so it could be months before they get any. If you can talk more about how it smells or what it reminds you of that would be great. Thanks!
He does beautiful work, and the perfumes are very concentrated. I wish he’d sell 10 or 15ml bottles. I’d never use 100ml, and the price, ack!
