Zoologist Elephant ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 12 September 2017 7 Comments

Canadian indie line Zoologist has launched Elephant, a new unisex fragrance.

Elephant, new by the Zoologist perfume atelier, this time a collaboration with Chris Bartlett.

The Elephant’s formula has a fresh air nuance and violet leaves in the opening. The heart layer is sandalwood highlighted with ambery kohinool material and the base has accords of chocolate and coconut milk, both used to enhance effect of sandalwood rather than turn fragrance into a gourmand.

Zoologist Elephant can be found now at Bloom Perfumery in the UK, £135 for 60 ml Extrait de Parfum.

Sounds interesting, and I wonder which incarnation of Sandalwood was used? This does sound like Asian Elephant, more than African Elephant.Just saying!

So far I have liked about everything I’ve tried from Zoologist, so I look forward to trying Elephant too.

I know this isn’t intended as a gourmand, but it sounds more like a flowery temple drink. That said, I’m looking forward to trying this one!
