Pierre Guillaume / Parfumerie Generale Suede Osmanthe ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 30 August 2017 2 Comments

Pierre Guillaume Suede Osmanthe

French niche line Pierre Guillaume will launch 5.1 Suede Osmanthe, a new addition to Parfumerie Générale's "Collection Rework" series. Suede Osmanthe is a variation on 5.0 L'Eau de Circé.

A precious suede, a fine, delicate skin infused with notes of apricot and black tea, the olfactory illusion of osmanthus, conspicuous by its absence. —Pierre Guillaume

Osmanthus comes from China, where its rich, elegant flowers scent rice fields with their potent fragrance.

Floral, fruity, with apricot and leather facets, the scent of osmanthus was matched with sandalwood and plum in L’Eau de Circé 05.

For Suede Osmanthe 5.1, Pierre Guillaume composed a cocktail of floral aldehydes and black tea leaves. He wrapped the leather note of Suederal® with the fruity flesh of apricot to create the olfactory illusion of osmanthus absolute, a singular, delicately leathery scent.

Additional notes include cashmeran and musk.

Pierre Guillaume Suede Osmanthe will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. Look for it in September.

Sounds gorgeous! I wish a local store carried PG but I might have to cave in and get a sample set.

      It does sound nice.

I suspect many osmanthus fragrances have no osmanthus but I’d kinda rather not be told 🙂
